In this week's episode, we almost start things off with some with some spousal-hatred inspired by puppets. A meteor is supposed to tour our planet around 2025. The Simpsons being renewed for their 33rd & 34th seasons prompts us to predict which shows currently have potential for similar longevity which leads into a slightly deeper discussion on television as a whole. Big Sean honorably stops by to share his perspective on metal health & ex-wife of Tyreese also stops by to give some advice on knowing your worth.

Miracle on 34th Street doesn't fit today's standards for what makes a movie Christmassy. It involved a cynical child and a Santa Claus who gets locked up in a mental health institution before undergoing a public psych hearing. Not only that, but the movie was released in June of 1947. And yet, it has gone on to become not only a beloved movie, but also a cherished tradition. How did that happen? We'll find out with the help of film critic Alonso Duralde. Music in this episode “Losing Love” — Dexter Britain "Hard Boiled" — Kevin MacLeod "Cherry Blossom" — Kevin MacLeod "Sad Marimba Planet" — Lee Rosevere "Do You Hear What I Hear?" — Jimmy Atkins  Rate Christmas Past on Apple Podcasts, and I'll send you a sticker to say thanks. The 88th drop in the Next 100 Project bucket gabs about the Christmas movie for skeptics. This 70-year-old fantasy flick (or is he really Saint Nick?) won us over, despite some rough patches and old-Hollywood cliches. Edmund Gwenn is the ideal on-screen Santa Claus and Maureen O’Hara & and a youthy Natalie Wood do a nice job working off his twinkle. Feeling like you need a boost? The holiday season is finally here.. and no I'm not going to take a dump on this or ridicule the meaning of Christmas.. I actually love the Christmas Season, minus the shopping, plus drinks and holiday movies equals happy Mike. In this episode I talk about what my favorite holiday movies are... Die Hard, enough said. I also talk about how actor/comedian Ryan Boyd and comedian/veteran Isaac Ames took it upon themselves to drive to Standing Rock and be one of the many on the front lines protecting the Sioux Tribe. These two guys are local heroes and we should follow in their footsteps. Whatever you need to do to get involved, get involved. Dont worry about Donald Trump taking our rights away, Just act like Kevin McCallister from Home Alone and protect your rights with a bb gun, some paint cans, and a tarantula.  Isaac Ames: Facebook.com/isaacamescomedy Ryan Boyd: Facebook.com/ryan.boyd.5608   And for up to date news on what's happening at Standing Rock: http://www.ocetisakowincamp.org/   Topics Include: Christmas, Die Hard, Home Alone, Standing Rock, Alan Rickman, Veterans of Standing Rock, Mike Betancourt, Comedy, stand-up, Krampus, Santa Claus, Scrooge, Thanksgiving, Comedian, Sacramento, Sioux Tribe, Pipeline, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, West Clark Jr.
