Claire is Ben's girlfriend. Both Jamie and Ben went off to college together, leaving their significant others behind in long-distance relationships. Ben's girlfriend is still in high school—but don't worry, she just had to repeat 1st grade. She's... a lot.Jamie is annoyed that her roommate really wants to be friends, but she reluctantly agrees to go to a party—and Ben tags along. Let's just say... the party does not go well. They start to wonder if their long-distance relationships are ruining their lives. They mutually decide it's time to break up with their significant others—on Wednesday, when they get home for Thanksgiving. After an exam, they go to leave—but Ben's car is missing. Turns out, Ben's boyfriend took it to Colorado. So, they hop on a bus instead. The plan gets pushed back a bit, but it's going to be fine.“Unwritten” plays, and that's the rest of the day. They rope Palmer into helping. He brings the boyfriend and girlfriend over to his house, but gives them alcohol, and they sneak out drunk because they're hungry. Palmer goes after them and ends up running into Coach Reese—the head football coach. When Reese asks what's going on, Palmer explains... and lets slip that tonight's get-together was supposed to be a sort of coming out party. To Palmer's shock, Reese reveals that he's also gay—and has chosen to live in small-town Ohio. Reese takes him to a bowling alley to meet his boyfriend and the queer bowling league.Meanwhile, Jamie and Ben are stuck trying to find their missing boyfriend and girlfriend. They try sneaking into a bar where they think they might be—but that fails, and leads to an argument. Hurtful things are said, especially when Claire finds out that Ben is going to Copenhagen next semester.Eventually, they learn their partners are at a house party. They head there, find them, and attempt to break up—but it doesn't go smoothly. The fact that they're both breaking up at the exact same time makes Ben's girlfriend suspicious. She tells them they should just get together already. So Ben and Jamie have the talk: should they? They end up sharing a kiss—one that could be described as “big ones.” It's interrupted by the arrival of the fire department. Finally—it's Thanksgiving. Ben is watching When Harry Met Sally and realizes he has to talk to Jamie. He needs to get something off his chest: he doesn't have romantic feelings for her, and the kiss didn't do it for him.Jamie is relieved—she felt the exact same way.Ben heads to Europe. Six months later, he returns a day early to surprise Jamie—so they can dance together in a totally normal way... that two people who are just friends do.
Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe movie kicks off with—yep, you guessed it—a yule log. A woman named Dianne shows up and begins vacuuming the floor. There's a knock at the door, and it's another woman claiming her car broke down. Suddenly, her son invites himself in, and we see Dianne get pushed down in front of the camera. Then a masked man appears and comes after her. Just then, the video is paused, and we realize the police are watching the footage. Apparently, Dianne doesn't make it—and she's not the only one. From what I gather, Dianne was cleaning the house for a group of renters who were about to arrive. And they do. All of them end up dead—except one: Zoe. But Zoe is not doing well. And Zoe knows the truth: it wasn't a person that did this. Rather, it was a killer log that floats around and murders people.Speaking of which, a police officer is watching more of the tape when he hears a noise from the evidence room. He goes to check it out—and it's the yule log. He tries to fight back, but the yule log saws off his leg with a chainsaw and blows up the building with dynamite, destroying the tape.Zoe tries to return to normal life, but she keeps seeing the log everywhere and ends up getting fired from her job. The police tell her the case is closed—they're convinced the masked man is the killer. Zoe insists, “No, it's the log!” But no one believes her.Her friend Jakester suggests they get away from it all and spend Christmas on an island. They get in the car—but Santa makes them crash into a tree. A tow truck driver shows up, and he's a total hunk.Zoe starts wandering around this small town, axe in hand, and notices things get oddly brighter when she enters Main Street. She keeps bumping into hunks, but she doesn't have time for that. The first hunk is an influencer named Bo Regards, and he announces, “WE'RE GOING TO GET DINNER!” After the fourth hunk knocks her over, she yells for help. A hunky Christmas ornament shop owner comes to her rescue and brings her inside. She meets his kid and his Nana and learns that the guy—Bert—is a widower. She accidentally knocks over all the ornaments and tries to fix them, but then she gets a text from Bo about dinner plans. Turns out Bo has opened his own competing ornament shop. Unfortunate.Meanwhile, the yule log is on its own adventure. It sneaks into the trunk of a family going camping and proceeds to brutally kill them all.Bo agrees to let Zoe use his helicopter, but it leaves without her. As she walks back to town, Bert and his family pick her up and offer to let her stay with them. She opens up to Bert about what happened, and he's like, “Don't worry—I know just what you need.” He's built a machine that helps people process trauma. And it works. Her life changes. She's full of holiday cheer and no longer afraid of the yule log.Zoe and Bert have a wonderful day together—blowing bubbles by the creek, sliding down a fire pole, etc. Everything seems great—until we see the yule log peeking around a corner. But don't worry—Santa shows up and captures it in a bag. He runs it through a wood chipper, then buries the pieces in a shallow grave and pours cement over it. Looks like the nightmare is finally over.Except… one tiny wood strip escapes. It flies through the air and gives Nana a splinter. They all go inside for dinner, and—don't ask me why—Zoe opens the freezer and sees a mini version of Nana, who invites her inside. Zoe climbs in and shrinks down too. Her ex, Alex, is also in the freezer, working on his boxing skills. (I have no idea, man.)The next day, Nana complains about her stomach—but I'm sure it's nothing. At Christmas dinner, chaos erupts. Nana starts vomiting all over the food and then starts choking. One of the Cards tries to give her the Heimlich when suddenly they're stabbed by a giant tree branch. More branches burst from Nana until her head pops off—and the yule log crawls out from the head hole.Nana Yule Log heads to the town square, where the Yule Log Festival is happening. She lights all the other yule logs on fire, and they begin attacking the townspeople. She tracks Zoe and Bert back to his house, where they discover that the ashes of their loved ones are the only thing that can extinguish the fire. They win! Zoe decides it's best to leave town. But in the end, she returns for the store's grand re-opening—and kisses Bert.
Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHYou need to know something right off the bat: the Herdmans are the worst kids in the world. There's Imogen, the eldest, then Ralph, Leroy, Claude, Ollie, and Gladys. They smoke. They curse. They bully. They're just plain bad.Enter Beth Bradley, our narrator. Early on, her locket gets stolen, and she prays to God to send the Herdmans far, far away.Meanwhile, the church's 75th annual Christmas pageant is coming up—it's a big deal. Mrs. Armstrong, who's directed it every year, breaks both her legs, so Beth's mom, Grace, steps in. Despite all the skeptics, she boldly claims it's going to be the best Christmas pageant ever.Beth's little brother Charlie has been getting bullied into giving Leroy Herdman his lunch cookies. Out of frustration, Charlie tells them he doesn't even care—he gets all the snacks he wants at church.Big mistake.Leroy spreads the word to his siblings, and the next thing you know, the Herdmans show up at church. The pastor says they've got to attend Sunday school first—so they do.But even more shocking than them staying is when Imogen declares she's going to play Mary, and Ralph is going to be Joseph. The rest of the major roles? Also claimed by Herdmans. The other kids decide it's probably best not to argue. When the church community hears about this, they protest: You can't let the Herdmans be in the pageant! At the first rehearsal, Grace realizes something big—the Herdmans have never heard the story of Jesus. They're stunned by it. They demand King Herod be included in the play… and that he be taken out.Imogen ropes Beth into helping them research the story of Christmas at the library. The final dress rehearsal is a mess. Imogen's brothers hide the baby Jesus doll, the choir falls apart, and a fire alarm goes off. Everyone assumes Imogen pulled it—or that she was smoking in the bathroom. Turns out, something just burned in the oven.Imogen overhears the townspeople badmouthing her family and decides they're done. The Herdmans vanish. The next day, Grace can't get ahold of them. Beth goes to Imogen's house and reminds her that Grace stuck up for them. Imogen gives no sign of what they'll do. So that night, as Grace prepares to open the show, she tells the audience honestly—she has no idea what's going to happen. And then, just in time, the Herdmans show up.They bring their own flair to the pageant: Imogen gently burps the baby doll, the Wise Men bring a ham, and Imogen even sheds a tear. The crowd is unexpectedly moved—they love it.The film closes with a grown-up Beth now directing the Christmas pageant herself, carrying on the wild, wonderful legacy of the Herdmans.
Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHWe meet The Balsano family. They are all getting together at the old family home. It's a huge family gathering, complete with dads talking about robots, baking, grandma, and kids playing video games. We see in the basement, there is a "for sale" sign that's kind of been put in a corner. They all rush outside to cheer as firetrucks speed down the streets, all decked out in Christmas lights. And, of course, Santa Claus. Afterwards, we find out that not only are the parents secretly selling the house, but it's already done. They come back inside, eat dinner , and do Secret Santa. As the rest of the family sits down to watch old home videos, two of the teenage girls, Emily & Michelle, sneak out to hang out with their friends. As they speed down the back roads, we see some police officers going full speed gun mode on Christmas Eve. But they don't care. They don't do anything. They meet up with some other teenagers. They all meet up at a diner and then go get some beers. One of the dumb boys ends up throwing one of the beers which lands on a windshield in the parking lot that shatters. The cops are called but they're too busy talking about their hypothetical feelings for one another to do anything about it. The teenagers scatter and go to make-out point where they all just kind of pair off into the back of cars. Emily grabs her bag of bagels and heads home as one of the family members falls asleep on the piano.

Suddenly, Grýla takes over Ted's body, warns them, and then sends snowmen to kill them. Cal and Jack break into Krampus' lair but are captured and forced to slap-fight Krampus. They discover that Grýla came to Krampus to retrieve a magical snow globe that can imprison people.Grýla's plan is to duplicate the magical snow globe and imprison anyone who has ever been on the Naughty List. She decides to test the snow globes on Jack and his son, Dylan, with whom he has a strained relationship.Cal realizes that the only place capable of duplicating such magic is the North Pole. That means they never actually left the North Pole, and Santa is trapped in a vault that is draining his power.Inside their snow globes, Jack and Dylan have a heartfelt conversation, which makes them “nice” and causes the globes to shatter.Grýla is about to take off with an unconscious Santa, planning to use his sleigh to deliver the cursed snow globes—but not if Cal and Jack have anything to say about it! Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThese parents are downstairs arguing about where the angel is that's supposed to go on top of the tree. Their young son, Liam, overhears them. He decides to write a letter to Santa. He comes downstairs and tells his parents about the letter and we get a lot of info - he's in the 6th grade so his dad is concerned he's still writing to Santa. They moved to this town 3 months ago but his parents are still surprised to find out he made a friend. For some reason, Liam lies and says Gibby has cancer. Needless to say, Liam is a bit awkard and we also find out that he has dyslexia. The next day at school, he is captivated by his crush Emma who even stands up for him when kids make fun of his dyslexia. After school, he goes to drop off his letter to santa but accidentally misspells "Santa" as "Satan". Next thing you know, Satan shows up in the middle of the night. Liam still believes he is Santa despite the fact that he doesn't look like Santa and he has devil horns. Satan figures out what happened and decides to play along and offers to grant Liam three wishes. Not sure what to wish for, Liam wishes that Emma would give him a chance. At school, he notices that Emma is really staring at him. Satan appears in a mini version and tells him to go shoot his shot. He invites her to the Post Malone concert and she is very excited. Liam tells Gibby about his encounter with "Santa". Gribby is like it has to be a mistake. So Liam confronts Santa and figures out he's Satan and tries to get out of the deal. Satan says that when he makes his final two wishes, which he guarentees Liam will make, then Liam's soul belongs to him. Liam gets home and is greeted by his parents and a child psychologist. His session is interrupted by Gibby and Satan, who take Liam to the concert. With a little help from Satan, Liam is called onto the stage by Post Malone who calls Liam his inspiration. He dances and brings Emma on stage. Afterwards, she kisses him on the cheek! Everything is going great except Gibby is starting to feel a little left out. Later at home, Liam uses his second wish to fix Gibby's teeth and invites Gibby to join his date with Emma at the local Christmas carnival. His parents become incredibly concerned when they overhear the conversation about Satan. So they go and pick him up at the carnival and bring him to the good doctors clinic. Satan tries to make Liam use up his third wish by showing him images of Gibby and Emma apparently enjoying the carnival without him but he's not falling for it. His parents then see a video of Liam at the Post Malone concert and they realize that he wasn't lying to them afterall. Liam locks himself in his room and facetimes Gibby and yells at him for hanging out with Emma and tells him that he's the one who fixed his teeth. Liam then overhears his parents aguing about the death of his brother Spencer. Liam, fearing that his parents are going to call it quits, goes to the hotel that Satan is staying at and wishes that his parents would stay together and be happy. It immediately works and his parents have a real heart to heart. But now knowing that he's going to hell, Liam decides to give into bad. He's ruthlessly mean to everyone. Emma tells him he's being a jerk and he begins to feel bad.Meanwhile, in Hell, we find out that Satan is in fact not Satan, but just a low level demon, who has failed his trial to become a full demon: by granting two unselfish wishes, he has rendered the deal for Liam's soul invalid and is banished from hell forever. Satan visits Liam and tells him about the deal's cancellation, and Liam figures out that he is not the real Satan. Before leaving, Satan confesses how much he has come to like him and explains that the third wish was negated because Bill and Molly made up on their own, so he used the contents of Liam's original letter to fulfill a third and final wish. Now wanting to use his powers to help others, Satan takes the form of an angelic dove and flies away.

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH Ethan works for TSA at LAX On the busiest travel day, according to him - Christmas Eve. His pregnant girlfriend, Nora is trying to get Ethan to try to go through the police academy again even though he failed last time. But that seems hard so he decides he going to really try to move upward in the TSA, so he gets to work and asks his supervisor, Phil, to assign him to manage a baggage-scanning lane, cuz that's what the big dogs do.While on duty, Ethan finds an ear bud and is instructed to put it in. He begins to hear the voice of a bad guy we know just as the Traveler, who threatens to kill Nora unless Ethan allows a specific carry-on bag to pass through the scanner without interference. The Traveler's accomplice, the Watcher, monitors Ethan remotely via the airport security cameras, making sure he can't call for help or do any funny business. Ethan secretly tries to alert his co-worker with a message written in invisible ink, but before he can act, the Traveler poisons him and causing him to have a heart attack.Jason's boss notices Ethan is kinda all over the place so he replaces him with his friend Jason. When the Traveler threatens to kill Jason if Ethan doesn't comply, Ethan plants an alcoholic drink at Jason's workstation and rats him out for being drunk on the job. Back in control of the scanner, Ethan lets the instructed carry-on bag through but later finds out that it contains this deadly nerve agent.Meanwhile, LAPD detective Elena Cole investigates a double homicide tied to the smuggling of said nerve gas. She suspects shady doings at LAX so she orders a terminal-wide sweep and Ethan secretly flags the bag guy for inspection. Suspecting Ethan's interference, the Traveler confronts him in a restroom, leading to a scuffle where Ethan manages to seize the Traveler's plastic gun. The Traveler is like big whoop and arms the bomb.So Ethan has to go stop the bag guy from being inspected and hopefully disarm the bomb, which he does but not before his boss is killed by the bag guy who then reveals to Ethan he's also being blackmailed—his husband, Jesse, is being held hostage by the Watcher. The Traveler shows up and grabs the bag case and orders the Watcher to kill Nora, but Ethan uses the original bag guys phone to warn her and she escapes. On the way to the airport Detective Cole realizes this officer she is with is an imposter working for the Traveler and kills him. She then gets to the airport, finds Ethan, only to find out that Ethan is trying to stop the bomb and pleads for her to trust him. They discover the Traveler's target is a Congresswoman who's on a flight to Washington, D.C for a meeting about weapon funding. The planned attack is going to to implicate Russia, and would then get massive defense spending approved and bad guys like that. The Traveler boards the flight, unaware Ethan has swapped the bomb into a similar but larger suitcase, forcing him to stow it in the plane's cargo hold. Ethan sneaks into the hold to disarm the bomb while Nora persuades Cole to let the flight take off, so that the Traveler wouldn't suspect anything shady. but he gets a notification that someone is working on the bomb, so he figures it out and goes down to stop Ethan. Before the Traveler can rearm the bomb and escape via parachute, Ethan locks him in an airtight refrigeration unit with the nerve agent, killing him. The plane safely returns to the airport.A year later, Ethan, now a police officer, travels with Nora, their son, and Jason's family on a trip to Tahiti. At a TSA checkpoint, Ethan places his LAPD badge in the scanning tray, having finally achieved his dream.

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe Fletchers Grove real estate party is FINALLY HERE!!! A guy dressed as Santa comes in and kills the vibe. It's Glen. He owns the bookstore, and he's very passive-aggressive about how no one in this town comes to his bookstore. Glen has a past. He's banned from the diner, and everyone seems to hate him. He gives presents to everyone and tells Emily that he picked this one specially for her—it's rare he finds a fellow mystery lover. The night continues, and Emily sees Glen in his Santa suit scurrying quickly outside. She goes to follow him, finds his hat on the floor, and then sees a car speed off. Just as that happens, she hears a scream. She runs inside and sees Sue, who was throwing the party. She's crying as she looks at Glen, who has been stabbed in the heart. When Emily gets home, she opens the gift. It's a special green edition of A Christmas Carol. We get a flashback of Emily visiting the bookstore and meeting Glen. She tells him about this edition of A Christmas Carol that her parents used to read to her. He remembered and tracked the book down. As she opens it, a letter falls out, inviting her to a very special event at the law offices tomorrow at 8 p.m. What is Glen up to?!So, she goes to tell Sam, and he says, “How would you feel about me being a plus-one so I can take a gander?”They show up, and the video plays—it's Glen, predicting his own death and setting up a treasure hunt. Sam tries to get everyone to give him their books so he can search for clues. They're like, “Nah. There's treasure to find!”It doesn't take Emily long to find the first clue using a UV light on her book. She thinks the other books have clues too and that they all need to work together on it. She gets two others on board—a hot dog stand owner named Harry and Brooke Carmichael. But Glen's nephew, Fred, says he and his wife don't want to participate (mainly Fred's wife—she didn't like Glen). To make matters worse, there's one book still missing. She thinks maybe he gave it to the diner owner, Sue, but Sue says she threw the book out.Sam finds out that Glen had Huntington's disease. After Fred finds this out, he decides that they want to participate. Even though they're missing one book, they decide to put all the clues together and try to figure out what they're pointing to. It has something to do with a precious memory. Fred says, “The only memory I can think of with Glen is him reading Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Emily says, “Go see if he has that book in the bookstore. Maybe there's a clue.”As they're walking towards the store, Emily sees the car that sped off and notices a letter that clearly came from Glen in the front seat. Just then, Fred realizes the bookstore is unlocked. Sam goes in first and finds a guy there. It's Fred's brother Noah. They haven't seen each other in a long time. Apparently, when their mom got sick, Noah left. Sam takes Noah in for questioning and presents him with some pretty tough evidence—they found Glen's Santa suit in the trunk and the USB drive with Glen's video on it from the lawyer's office, which was stolen. He gives reasons for all of it, but it's not looking great.Fred tells Emily that he did finally go find the book and found a USB drive! They agree to all get together tomorrow to watch what's on it.As Emily's going home, an SUV speeds at her, and she has to tuck-and-roll out of the way.The next day, they all get together, and it's another video with a very cryptic clue. We find out that someone is sitting in a car, listening in on their conversation.Later, the group gets back together, but Fred is nowhere to be found. Turns out he was attacked from behind. He says he doesn't know who did it. Sam gets a call—they found Fred's wife's DNA on the Santa suit. She says she found out that the first editions were missing and went to talk to Glen. She found him dead and knew it wouldn't look good that she found him, so she put the suit on and ran out.Emily finds Noah in the diner—he's been released. She convinces him to join the group in solving the mystery. He comes to her store and sees there's a hole in the wall—she has a leak. He says he thought maybe it was one of the secret compartments these old buildings have. That gives them the idea to look for one in the bookstore, and they find it! Inside is a suitcase—a go-bag, if you will. They discover a folder with a plane ticket to Switzerland for the day of the party and a brochure for a place in Switzerland for end-of-life care. He was planning to leave and die in Switzerland. Emily recalls that the tape says, “If you're seeing this, that means I'm gone.” He didn't know he was going to be murdered. He was just planning on disappearing. They find the final clue and watch the video. Suddenly, Harry, the hot dog guy, is gone, and so are all the books. Emily puts it together—he killed Glen and was just trying to solve the mystery. She goes to confront him in the cemetery where the final clue leads to. We find out that he showed up to steal the first edition A Christmas Carol and threatened to kill Glen to get it. Glen laughed in his face, knowing he was dying. That offended Harry, so he stabbed him.Emily then fights him, takes him down, and puts him in plastic cuffs to get the treasure! She figures out it was the lawyer who hired this guy, and he gets arrested. She gets the group back together and hands out what Glen left for everyone. It's very sweet. The movie ends with Emily coming down to her store and seeing Sam fixing her wall. They end up making out HARD!!! She says, “Let's go for a walk in the snow.” She has to go change, and that's when he gets a phone call—he's been investigating Emily and noticed some discrepancies in her story. He got a call from his higher-up to drop any and all research into her. So, clearly, she isn't who she says she is. The episode ends with him asking her, “Who are you really?” Fade to black.
Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe episode kicks off back in the shop, and Christmas is in full swing. Emily hears some Christmas carolers. She goes out and is kind of enjoying herself... kind of. The lead singer, Debby, is making some choices. Then, suddenly, a giant sleigh falls on her! She's not dead, and apparently, she's not even injured.Cut to Emily waking up once again from a crazy dream of her past life. She grabs some coffee and opens a briefcase. She looks at a picture of what we assume is her family from a past life. She grabs a USB drive that will shield her identity while she does some searching. She's trying to track down someone known as "Ky-Mer-a."Back at the store, Emily is greeted by Brooke Carmichael, who is part of the choir—the Belles. She wants to put up a flyer for their concert and tells Emily that some of the Belles think something is afoot because this isn't the first "accident" that has happened to them, including the death of a member, Clara, who was killed in a hit-and-run.So, Emily goes to check out the sleigh, which Sam is also looking at. He suspects something nefarious happened with the sleigh because of the way it's built. She decides the best course of action is to audition to join the Belles so she can keep an eye on them. She'll rely on Violet, Sam's daughter, to lock up the store at night. I'm sure nothing will go wrong. After practice, she talks to a guy named Lance, who is bummed about Clara because she was the key to their success. He insists that other members were jealous of her.She sees Clara's husband leaving the diner, so she goes to talk to him. He says he knows for a fact that Clara was murdered by the Belles. At the next practice, Debby begins gasping for air, and her epipen isn't in her purse, which she just complained had been moved. She ends up surviving AGAIN!Sam pulls Emily aside and asks for her help. He wants her to keep an eye on Debby. Emily says, "But Debby has almost died twice." Sam replies, "Well... she was also a suspect in the hit-and-run. It's possible she's faking these murder attempts to try to prove it wasn't her who killed Clara."The next day, Debby comes to the shop to thank Emily for saving her life. Emily gets right to work, asking questions. Debby claims she doesn't even have a car anymore; she had it hauled away months ago. Emily suggests, "You should've called Adam to do it." She says, "Adam doesn't like me very much—he showed up at my house late one night demanding I tell him who in the Belles Clara was having an affair with." She adds, "If Clara was having an affair with a Belle, I would've known about it."So Emily calls Sam. Adam thinking Clara was having an affair is a motive for murder. They go to his house, but he's not there. On the way back into town, they find his truck has gone off the road. Adam is nowhere to be found. They call in a search and rescue team. If he's in the woods, he won't survive the night in this cold.Emily heads back to her shop when she sees a masked man leaving the store. She tries to chase him, but he loses her. She has to call the police. Sam comes to check on her and asks, "Was it locked?" She says, "Oh, yeah, for sure."At the next Belles rehearsal, the leader, Vera, says Debby won't be making it to the Christmas tree lighting, so she'll be taking her place. It's clear Brooke is upset about that.Debby eventually shows up at practice and tries to sing the solo but can't. Vera and she get into a fight about Debby pulling back funding. Vera tells her that her money can't buy her the solo, and Debby leaves.Emily figures out that the key was stolen by a punk kid, so she goes and scares him into admitting it. It's great.Later, she goes to poke around at Adam's place. She sees a covered car. She smells bleach and ends up opening the trunk, cutting her hand in the process. It's Adam. He's dead.Later, while she's talking to Sam, she remembers something that happened earlier—Vera had a band-aid and said it was just a paper cut. But the cut is exactly the same as Emily's.Sam goes and picks Vera up. They test the blood on the trunk door, and it's a match. He begins to question her, and it comes out that Clara was going to leave the Belles for another group. Vera hit her with Debby's car. Adam told Vera that he knew Debby killed Clara and that he found the car. So, she freaked out and drugged him to buy time to wipe down the car. She didn't mean to kill him, so she panicked and threw him in the trunk. Crime solved. She remembers, however, that Adam was in charge of the electricity at the Christmas tree lighting and thinks he was planning on killing Debby. But Debby isn't singing... Brooke is. Emily arrives just in time to push Brooke away from the mic as it catches on fire. She saves the day!Sam is impressed, and they have a heart-to-heart. She begins to open up about her past... or at least what she's able to share. She gets back to her place, and suddenly, her computer screen shows a message: "I know you are there. I'm going to find you."
Watch on Philo!- Philo.tv/DTHThe episode kicks off with Emily Lane waking up from a nightmare. She runs a Christmas shop, Under the Mistletoe, in the small town of Fletcher's Grove. She brings her cat to see her friend, local vet June, and learns that her ex-husband, Marcus, proposed to June again. Part deux, if you will. June and Marcus go on a romantic carriage ride, but Marcus is acting strange and says he's just working on a surprise. Later, we see him meeting a man named Gordon and telling him he's done what he can for him and to just be patient. Gordon does not seem pleased. The next day, the police show up at Under the Mistletoe. A detective informs Emily that a man named Marcus is dead and that a cookie wrapper from her store was found at the crime scene. He insists on taking all the cookies from the shop. June shows up and fills Emily in—Marcus was found dead. She suspects his ex-girlfriend, Lizzie Cline, who he was seeing until shortly before getting back together with June, might have been on the wagon ride that night.Emily immediately gets to work, tracking down Lizzie at her job and asking hard-hitting questions—like, “Wagons?!” Speaking of wagons, Emily visits the owner of the wagon rides, Gordon. Something seems to be bothering him, and Emily suspects it's a hangover.Later, Emily heads into the woods and finds scuff marks on a tree, almost as if someone recently climbed it. Sneaky as ever, Emily snaps a picture of the list of everyone who was on the wagon that night. There's one person she can't track down—a man named Joey. While Emily and June are at the diner, June gets arrested. Emily confronts Detective Sam, who refuses to confirm or deny whether they found the poison that killed Marcus in June's house, but his terrible poker face says it all.Emily discovers that Marcus denied Gordon a bank loan, leaving Gordon's business in serious trouble. When Emily breaks into Marcus's home, she finds a USB drive and a bookmark tucked into a pregnancy photo album. The USB contains a document for the sale of Gordon's farm—but it's unsigned. When she confronts Gordon, she spots some suspicious men leaving his house. Gordon reveals that Marcus asked for more time. Before Emily can leave, Gordon collapses. While waiting for the police, Emily has a flashback to a high-stakes moment from her past, where a building explodes behind her. It's clear she moved to Fletcher's Grove to lay low.Detective Sam arrives, suspicious when he finds out Emily called in Gordon's collapse. She insists she's just trying to help her friend. Sam reluctantly asks her to keep him in the loop because, well, it's Hallmark—amateur sleuths and cops have to work together. It's practically a law.Emily teams up with a local informant named Ray, who knows all the town gossip. He reveals that Gordon recently had his gambling debt paid off, though it's unclear by whom. Emily also grows suspicious of Marcus's co-worker, Rowan. When she confronts him, he has an explanation for everything. Under pressure, she convinces him to share Marcus's bank statements, which reveal a $40,000 withdrawal just before his death.Emily forms a theory: Marcus paid off Gordon's debt as a down payment for the farm, but Gordon had second thoughts because his daughter believed the farm was hers. Emily pitches her theory to Gordon's daughter, Anna, but it doesn't go over well. One night, Emily confronts Lizzie, who admits she didn't mean for Marcus to get hurt. Lizzie reveals that she's pregnant with Marcus's baby. She wanted to tell her boyfriend, Trent, but couldn't. When she told Marcus, someone must have overheard. Lizzie then received a text demanding $40,000. Marcus got the money and met her in the woods, where they shared a cookie. Emily realizes the cookie couldn't have been poisoned and goes to the police to secure June's release.Emily deduces that Gordon wasn't the blackmailer—he doesn't even know how to text—but Anna does. Anna confesses to the blackmail but denies being involved in the murder.Emily discovers that Rowan was secretly sleeping in Gordon's barn. In his bag, she finds the poison that killed Marcus. Rowan knocks Emily out, and when she wakes up, both she and Anna are tied up. Rowan admits he wanted to kill Gordon to stop the sale of the farm. He poisoned Marcus's flask, which Marcus drank from before confronting the blackmailer. Rowan plans to poison Emily and Anna and frame Anna for everything.Emily reveals that she hid her phone and has been recording Rowan's confession. While he searches for the phone, Emily and Anna spook a horse to knock him out. They escape, call the police, and Rowan is arrested.Detective Sam tells Emily they'll discuss everything soon but is relieved she's safe.In the end, Gordon survives, Lizzie tells Trent about the baby, and Sam and his daughter sing Christmas karaoke. Everything seems fine—until the final scene, where Emily opens a black box from her old life and smirks, hinting at secrets yet to come.

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHPrettyLitter.com/DTH - 20% off your first order + a free toy Kate reluctantly works at her family's business, North Star, a year-round operation that trains Mall Santas nationwide. Despite its festive name, it's a big commitment that's made her a bit grumpy about Christmas. When her dad decides to step away, Kate steps in, but the business is a mess. Her sister, Bailey, agrees to help her out.Her rival and top instructor, Dan, works for a different Santa school. This school wins the Christmas Cup every year. After Dan gets fired for making too much money, he approaches Kate—despite their awkward past (they once went on a date, or a "scheduled gathering," if you will). He wants to join forces and win the Christmas Cup. She can't say no to that. They carpool on the first day and have to screech to a halt when a Santa walks in front of them in the road. He's very confused. He doesn't know his name or what he's doing. It's at this point that they see Santa's reindeer and sleigh fly away. Is he the real deal?! They decide to bring him to the school so they can keep an eye on him. They get to the school, and Dan is immediately concerned. It's a real ragtag group: an older fellow who just wants to be Santa for his grandkids, a woman who wants to prove she can do anything she puts her mind to, a ventriloquist and his dummy, some actor named Paul Campbell, and then there's Nick...who has a giant bowl of cookies and just downs some milk. The Santas begin to train, participating in obstacle courses and learning how to properly "ho-ho-ho." Santa Nick begins to have weird memory flashes whenever he touches someone but doesn't know how to make heads or tails of it.The next test is a big one—they have to actually deal with kids at the mall, and it's intense for all of them...except Santa Nick. He crushes it. He knows what all the kids want. But he also sees what Kate's dad's friend, Ned, wants—he wants to buy the school. So Kate has a conversation with him, and she's strongly considering his offer. There's a gift exchange, and Kate gives Dan a nice gift—a Christmas sweater that says he's the "Best Santa Trainer," so obviously, she's into him. He asks her on a date, and she agrees. And what better way to go on a date than by crashing a Christmas party? They have an absolute blast together. They get kicked out, and that leads to them making out... The next morning, they make out some more... AY AY AY!!!!Word gets out to Kate's sister and the other Santas that Nick is the real Santa. It's almost Christmas Eve, and Nick still hasn't regained his memories. Kate decides to try something—she shows Nick his Santa sack. He begins to go through it, and he gets a reindeer whistle and calls for his sleigh to come back.Dan finds out that Kate is considering selling the school, and that bums him out. He assumes that also means she doesn't see a future with him, so he decides it's best if he just leaves. It's time for the Christmas Cup. It ends in a tie. It comes down to sudden death. First person to beat the obstacle course wins! They draw names, and it's Nick's turn to go. Just then, Nick's wife shows up. Turns out his name is Kris, and she is Mrs. Claus! The whistle told her where he was. She reminds him who he is. He goes to do the obstacle course, and he's behind the whole time until they get to the chimney climb. Somehow, almost like magic, Nick/Kris appears at the top of the chimney and rings the bell. After the win, Kate decides not to sell the school. Santa gives her tickets to Paris and tells her that she still needs to live her life. Kate and Dan make up, and they kiss... They all head back to her place to celebrate, and the doorbell rings. She goes to answer it and finds a box. Inside is a whistle with a note that says, "If you ever need any help with the school, give me a call."

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH#Sponsored by BetterHelpBetterHelp.com/Hallmark - for 10% off your first month #adVisitGreenvilleSC.com/Things-To-Do/Winter/ The movie kicks off with a fun little animation telling the story of a secret that started in 1996 when Avery met Logan. They became quick friends. Avery could 100% be herself around him, and vice versa. As they got older, that friendship blossomed into true love—the kind that can get you through anything, like the loss of Avery's mom.Fast forward: they're adults now. Avery lands a job in London, and Logan is less than thrilled. It's 2014, and on their last night together, Logan is driving the struggle bus. They're in the middle of a fight, but it boils down to him saying, “I'm just really going to miss you, and I'm sad.”At her going-away party, her dad gives an emotional speech before handing the mic to Logan. Logan gets down on one knee, but before he can even pop the question, Avery blurts out, “No.” Logan does not handle it well and throws out, “If your mom were alive, she'd be disappointed.” Ouch. Avery breaks up with him and leaves.Cue a fun montage of the world's biggest moments from 2014-2024 (shoutout to Stranger Things and Squid Game—Netflix wins again). Now it's 2024. Avery is a hotshot dealmaker with a hotshot dealmaker boyfriend named Cam. Logan, meanwhile, is a contractor dating Cassie, who comes from a family where every sibling's name starts with “C.” (More on that soon.)Avery and Cam head to her dad's house, which is all packed up. Her dad, now remarried, is selling the family home. She says goodbye as her dad and stepmom leave for a holiday trip. Then it's off to Cam's very uptight family. At their gathering, guess who walks in? Logan and Cassie. Turns out Cam is Cassie's brother (one of the “C” names).Logan and Avery are stunned but quickly decide to pretend they've never met. Avery, already intimidated by Cam's mom (played by Kristin Chenoweth, no less), doesn't need the added drama. But the awkwardness only grows. Cam has his own “former friend” story: a girl named Sophie who studied abroad and is now back. Cam's mom loves Sophie.Meanwhile, Logan and Avery strike a deal: Avery will help Logan land a business deal with Tim Meadows, and Logan will make Kristin Chenoweth like Avery. This is where things go off the rails. Avery borrows a jacket, eats some gummies from the pocket, and discovers (too late) that they're weed gummies. At church. She ends up rambling about her hands and turns a Christmas reading into a Kool & the Gang singalong. Kristin Chenoweth is not impressed, but hey, the pastor loved it.Later, the munchies hit. Avery eats a batch of cookies meant for a cookie exchange. To cover it up, she blames the dog, which backfires when the dog has to be rushed to the vet. Shenanigans ensue, but they manage to keep Kristin in the dark. The chaos ramps up when Cam's younger brother, Callum, overhears Logan and Avery talking about their past relationship. He blackmails them into helping him get a booth at a Christmas market. Then there's a bar scene. Guess who shows up? Sophie. Avery sees her getting flirty with Cam, and when she gets a call about her dad's real estate agent needing access to the house, she leaves. Logan offers her a ride, and they have a heart-to-heart about her memories of the house. He encourages her to buy it, and they spend some quiet time there.Later, Logan catches Cam sneaking into the house late at night. Cam begs Logan not to tell Avery. Finally, everything blows up at the Christmas Eve gathering. Cassie surprises Logan by inviting his parents, and Grandma spills the beans about Logan and Avery's past. Callum exposes Avery's cookie crime. Just as she's about to leave, Avery asks Cam if anything happened with Sophie. He admits it did. It's over.Avery leaves, and Logan asks if he can call her. She says no.But when she finds out that Logan suggested to her dad that she should buy the house, she realizes he might be something special. She ensures his business plan gets to the right people. In the end, Avery's dad surprises her with the keys to her childhood home. At her housewarming party, Logan asks for a second chance. They confess their love and kiss. A year later, they're planning their wedding. Through animation, we learn they get married sometime after that.
