The phones are ringing off the hook as Packer Nation processes another gut-wrenching loss and a three-game losing streak heading into the playoffs. Tonight's callers aren't holding back their frustrations, and the Rashaan Gary discourse has reached a boiling point. The big news drops mid-show as Trevon Diggs reportedly signs with Green Bay, sparking debate about whether the former Cowboys corner can resurrect his career in the same system that transformed Rasul Douglas. Callers also bid farewell to Malik Willis, with one suggesting Pittsburgh as his ideal landing spot to continue what Green Bay started. But the main event tonight is the avalanche of Rashaan Gary criticism. Multiple callers draw comparisons to Nick Perry, question his leadership abilities, and debate whether his contract is salvageable. The frustration extends to offensive linemen Banks and Rasheed Walker for drive-killing penalties, and some are even calling for Matt LaFleur's job. One caller sums up the mood perfectly: this team is broken. Despite the doom and gloom, we're still in the playoffs, and as the host reminds everyone, you don't have to be the better team, you just have to win. Midweek brought real news — and it forced a reality check. With Nate Hobbs and Kamal Hadden officially out for the season, the Packers made a surprising but necessary move by claiming Trevon Diggs off waivers. We break down why Green Bay felt compelled to spend real money, why Diggs could realistically start in the playoffs, and how thin the cornerback room truly is right now.We also address the Ravens loss, but not from a box score perspective. Malik Willis played near flawless football. The offensive game plan worked. The real problems were structural: no center depth, a broken interior offensive line, failed draft investments, and a defensive front that simply cannot survive bully-ball football. From Sean Rhyan snapping issues, to the inability to stop Derrick Henry, to Rashan Gary's alarming regression, this episode is about identifying personnel failures, not blaming play calling or effort. Finally, we shift to what actually matters now: Week 18. With the Packers locked into the 7 seed, we lay out exactly who must sit, who should play, how the roster should be managed, and why this game is about asset protection, health, and information — not winning. This is a reset episode. Less emotion. More clarity. And a hard look at how the Packers got here.

We talk Vikings with beat reporter Matthew Coller, as well as what the Packers should do with Jordan Love, Malik Willis and Clayton Tune. Hosts Brad Fowler and Alex Higdon break down the biggest NFL Week reactions, playoff implications, and College Football Playoff quarterfinal previews as the postseason picture comes into focus. We discuss Eagles vs Bills, Josh Allen’s near-heroics, Philadelphia’s recurring second-half offensive issues, and why Buffalo still can’t be trusted in the playoffs. Plus Seahawks vs Panthers, Seattle’s talent edge and turnover concerns with Sam Darnold, and whether either team can make real postseason noise. We also dive into Patriots vs Jets, Drake Maye’s MVP-level performance, and whether New England is being seriously undervalued. We break down Ravens vs Packers with a debate on Malik Willis’ development and starter potential, followed by Texans vs Chargers, Justin Herbert’s impressive performance under constant pressure, Houston’s elite defense, and how far the Texans can go in a wide-open AFC. We recap what may have been the best NFL game of the year: Bears vs 49ers — elite quarterback play from Caleb Williams and Brock Purdy, creative coaching, massive performances from Christian McCaffrey, and what it means for Chicago heading into the playoffs. In College Football, we preview and make picks for the CFP quarterfinals, including Oregon vs Texas Tech, Alabama vs Indiana, Georgia vs Ole Miss, and Ohio State vs Miami. We also react to Michigan hiring Kyle Whittingham and why it could be a program-changing move.
The calls are pouring in and Packer fans are fed up. Tonight's episode dives deep into the raw frustration consuming the fanbase as the season spirals toward what feels like an inevitable playoff disappointment. Craig from Indiana kicks things off with his top five reasons this season has been so devastating, from the joy-killing injuries to the perpetual special teams disasters. Then Jersey Mike drops a truth bomb that sparks the night's biggest debate: Is Matt LaFleur too much of a "nerd coach" to inspire this team when things get ugly? The callers don't hold back comparing him to Dan Campbell's fire-breathing leadership style, and the conversation gets heated about what's really missing in Green Bay's DNA. Packer Super Fan Mike brings the receipts on Lambeau's vanishing home field advantage, revealing a stat that will make your blood boil about how many home games we've lost compared to the Holmgren era. Plus, the Malik Willis versus Jordan Love debate continues, and Ryan draws a hard line in the sand about Week 18 starter decisions. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Dan Schneier returns to break down the biggest dynasty questions heading into 2026 — starting with the New York Giants. We dive into the dynasty floor and ceiling for Jaxson Dart, whether Wan'Dale Robinson's season is real or a one-off, and what to expect from Malik Nabers long-term. From there, we assess unproven quarterbacks, ranking floors and ceilings for names like Cam Ward, J.J. McCarthy, Michael Penix, Quinn Ewers, and Malik Willis — plus which QBs are most likely to start 15+ games in 2026. Dan also ranks his top 5 dynasty tight ends, evaluates confidence in the 2025 rookie RB class, and tackles key dynasty debates including Luther Burden vs. Rome Odunze, Marvin Harrison Jr.'s Year 3 outlook, and Quentin Johnston vs. Ladd McConkey. Week 18 Door Opened, Lions Stumbled The NFL weekend handed the Detroit Lions every break. Green Bay got drilled. Chicago lost to San Francisco. A win-and-in shot with the Chicago Bears in Week 18 sat on the table. Detroit did not hold up its end. The Christmas loss to the Minnesota Vikings turned opportunity into regret. The Vikings were a known entity. They crowd the middle. They blitz. They play downhill. Detroit still walked into the trap. The result felt like a coaching loss from prep to whistle. That sting was familiar. The opener against Green Bay carried the same scent. The Detroit Lions Podcast audience heard the frustration. A good team played small in a gotta-have-it moment. NFC Results That Framed It Everything else aligned. The Packers got blown away. Jordan Love was out. Baltimore rolled, and Derrick Henry ran wild. Malik Willis played well before leaving hurt again. Chicago then dropped a high-scoring thriller to the 49ers on Sunday night. The Bears sit high in the NFC mix, pending what the Rams do. Seattle sits at number one. All of it kept a Week 18 showdown in play. Detroit only needed to cash its Christmas ticket. It did not. The 12 Personnel Trap on Offense The offensive plan made it harder. Detroit leaned into 12 personnel and pounded inside. That shrank the field. Linebackers crept up. Safeties walked down. Put Shane Zylstra or Giovanni Ricci in the slot and defenses do not fear the seam. They crowd the box and choke the space where Detroit wanted to live. Spacing matters. You chase linebackers and safeties off with speed and threat. Kalif Raymond changes leverage. Isaac Teslaw does too. Use them to widen the second level and clear seams. Detroit instead condensed everything and invited contact. Inside runs met free hitters. Protection saw extra bodies and late blitzers. The Vikings love that fight. Detroit gave it to them snap after snap. Irrespective of line play, the structure was off. The Lions drew defenders into the very area they targeted. That is backwards. Against an aggressive front, widen, stress, and punish. Detroit did not. Coaching Heat: Campbell and Morton This one lands on the headsets. Dan Campbell as play caller. John Morton as offensive coordinator. Minnesota started Max Brosmer and had backups across the offensive line. Short week for both teams. The Vikings still looked more prepared for what Detroit would do than Detroit was for what Minnesota always does. That is the rub. The worry now is persistence. Keeping Morton in any capacity invites more of the same. Scheme must create its own luck. Preparation must steal downs. The Lions can manufacture it with smarter spacing, better personnel groupings, and quicker answers to pressure. Week 18 still offers meaning. The path narrowed because Detroit gave it away. The fix is not mystical. It is alignment, speed on the field, and a plan that refuses to play to an opponent's strength. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnAcmdsNjlw #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #minnesotavikings #chicagobears #greenbaypackers #sanfrancisco49ers #jordanlove #derrickhenry #malikwillis #12personnel #lateblitzers #spacing Learn more about your ad choices. Kyle Crabbs joins to break down the Dolphins' quarterback situation, praising Quinn Ewers' decision-making while cautioning against putting all their eggs in his basket. He suggests Miami bring in a competing QB to battle for the starting job and doesn't expect the team to make a blockbuster draft move. Kyle also emphasizes the need for a quick decision on Tua Tagovailoa and explores the team's options with him. He touches on other roster moves, like whether to extend De'Von Achane, and stresses the importance of a thorough GM hiring process. Finally, he notes that if Miami adds a QB, it would likely be someone like Mac Jones or Malik Willis—but only at the right price.

Malik Willis was fantastic but the Packer run defense couldn't stop a nose bleed on Saturday night. Shades of Joe Barry at Lambeau in a 41-24 loss to the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens. Now the Packers are locked into the #7 seed, and the Bears are division champs. Packers in Minnesota for the regular season finale with nothing on the line. Giannis returns from his calf injury and starts a little dust up at the end of a win against the Bulls on Saturday night, and College Football Playoffs resume on Wed/Thursday. The Packers just delivered one of the most confusing games of the season—a performance that was somehow satisfying, depressing, and historically awful all at the same time. The offense looked absolutely dominant with Malik Willis at the helm, cutting through the Ravens defense like they didn't exist. But the defense? They gave up 41 points, the worst performance since 2016 and the worst of the entire Matt LaFleur era. This episode digs deep into what's really broken with this team. It's not just injuries—it's belief. The 2010 Packers had injuries too, but they had something this team doesn't: the ability to rise up. We're watching a squad that can't capitalize on momentum, can't get inspired, and can't seem to find that warrior mentality when it matters most. The locker room knows the standard isn't being met, but nobody seems to know how to fix it. We also explore the uncomfortable question: Is Matt LaFleur still the right guy for this next phase? We break down the potential coaching candidates—from Jesse Minter's proven NFL success to Joe Brady's combination of offensive brilliance and leadership—and examine what a transition might look like. Plus, the painful reality that Malik Willis is about to walk out the door for almost nothing after proving he can run this offense at an elite level. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Packers Total Access : Packers Players Sound Off+ Week 18 Strategy News + Malik Willis Future
Jordan Love is officially OUT for Saturday's showdown against Baltimore, thrusting Malik Willis into the spotlight with the NFC North division title still within reach. With Lamar Jackson also doubtful for the Ravens, this matchup just became a battle of backup quarterbacks—and the Packers hold every advantage at home. This episode delivers a comprehensive breakdown of the Baltimore Ravens, a team having their worst season since 2021. We examine Tyler Huntley's extensive film history (he's 5-12 as Baltimore's fill-in starter), Derek Henry's dramatic statistical decline from his monster 2024 campaign, and why their aging defense—featuring pass rushers who can't rush and corners having career-worst seasons—presents an exploitable matchup for Green Bay. Key discussion points include the strategy debate around resting starters versus competing for the division, the Ravens' rapidly closing championship window with declining stars at multiple positions, and why Kyle Hamilton remains one of the few legitimate threats on their roster. Plus, breaking injury news on Savion Smith and Quay Walker dealing with illness. The Packers are 3.5-point home favorites. This is a winnable game that could set up everything for the final push. What does it really take to win when everything falls apart? Inspired by a conversation with regular caller RLS about military mental conditioning, Ryan explores the psychological gap between good teams and championship teams, and why talent alone will never be enough. The injury report has ballooned to 20 players, with Jordan Love still in concussion protocol and Malik Willis expected to be ready if needed. But beyond the medical updates, this episode dives deep into the philosophy of elite performance. Drawing from books by Bill Walsh, Tim Grover, George Leonard, and Bill Parcells, Ryan examines why some players crumble under pressure while others thrive. The NFL's structure actually works against building mentally tough teams, and the bare minimum requirements for players are shockingly light compared to the psychotic obsession that defines true greatness. From Kobe Bryant's 4am workouts to Aaron Donald's unwavering consistency, the blueprint is clear for those willing to follow it. Merry Christmas Eve, Packers fans. If you want a team that wins ugly when it matters, this is the conversation we need to be having. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! The Packers find themselves in a position they never should have been in. After a brutal loss to the Bears that saw both Jordan Love and Malik Willis leave with injuries, Green Bay's playoff hopes now hang by a thread. With only two offensive players grading above 70 and eleven below average on defense, this was one of the ugliest PFF performances of the season—and it came at the worst possible time. Ryan dives deep into the film, calling out the offensive line struggles that continue to plague this team, particularly Aaron Banks' dismal 45 overall grade. The defense wasn't any better, with zero players earning a 70 or higher in coverage. Meanwhile, Rashan Gary led the team with four pressures while Lucas Van Ness showed promise with a 17.6% pressure rate. The only silver lining? The Lions' playoff probability has plummeted to 6%, needing the Packers to completely collapse while they win out. Looking ahead to a crucial Week 17 matchup against Baltimore, both teams face serious quarterback uncertainty as Lamar Jackson deals with a significant back contusion. The path to the playoffs is simple: win one game. The question is whether this battered team can rise to the occasion. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! The Packers dominated the Bears for nearly four quarters, then watched it all unravel in the most gut-wrenching fashion possible. Tonight, fans call in for what can only be described as Packers therapy, processing the pain of a loss that never should have happened. Callers break down the offensive red zone struggles that plagued the team all game, Josh Jacobs' costly fumble that shifted momentum, and Romeo Doubs' failed onside kick recovery that sealed the defeat. The conversation turns philosophical as fans draw striking parallels to the 2010 Super Bowl season, reminding us that things looked equally bleak before that championship run. With Jordan Love's injury status uncertain and questions swirling about whether Malik Willis can lead the team to a playoff berth, one thing remains clear: the Packers were the better team, and Bears fans know it. Despite the devastating finish, this squad refuses to quit, and neither should we. One win clinches a playoff spot, and stranger things have happened in Green Bay.
