Be Sensitive to Traditions and Customs1 Corinthians 11:1-16It had been the custom in the synagogue and in some pagan temples for women in attendance to cover their heads. In the Jewish tradition, the covering represented a distinction in dress to acknowledge the difference between men and women. The women were also seated separately from the men and were not allowed to recite the lesson aloud with the men. Some of the members in Corinth were from this Jewish background and had unconsciously brought with them much of their tradition. The Preacher's CommentaryDon't get fixated on traditions; instead, spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.Thank you for tuning into Daily Bible Benefits Have a good and godly Day

In this episode, we delve into the practical aspects of ministering healing, guided by the instructions in James 5:14-15. We will explore how prayer, anointing, and faith play crucial roles in the healing process and provide actionable guidance for those called to this powerful ministry. Our springboard for today's discussion is: James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up." This scripture highlights the community's role in healing and underscores the power of faith-filled prayer. The act of healing is a profound demonstration of God's love and power. By following biblical guidelines and embracing the Holy Spirit's guidance, believers can effectively minister healing to those in need.Practical Ways to Minister Healing:* Prayer for Healing:* Gather Believers: As instructed in James, involve other believers who are mature in faith to join in prayer. There is power in the agreement of the faithful.* Pray with Authority: Pray with the authority given by Jesus Christ, trusting in His promises for healing and restoration.* Anointing with Oil:* Biblical Basis: Anointing with oil has been a symbol of setting someone apart for God's special attention and care. It represents the Holy Spirit's presence and work in the healing process.* Practical Steps: Use oil as a point of contact for faith. Pray over the oil and apply it to the sick person's forehead as you pray for their healing.* Faith in Action:* Expect God to Move: Approach each situation with expectancy, believing in the effectiveness of God's power to heal.* Be Sensitive to the Holy Spirit: Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your prayers and actions, being open to His promptings and directions.Approaching Situations Requiring Healing:* Respect and Sensitivity: Always approach each situation with respect for the individual's condition and sensitivity to their circumstances and desires.* Consent: Ensure that the person is comfortable with being prayed over and anointed, respecting their wishes and boundaries.* Continuous Support: Offer continued prayer and support regardless of the immediate outcome. Healing may be a process rather than an instantaneous event.ConclusionMinistering healing is a sacred task that combines faith, prayer, and practical action. By aligning our practices with biblical teachings and remaining sensitive to the Holy Spirit's guidance, we can serve as effective conduits of God's healing power.A Question of the Day: What steps can you take to prepare yourself spiritually and practically for ministering healing?Growth Challenge: This week, seek out opportunities to pray for healing. Whether it's a friend, family member, or a situation in your community, take the initiative to offer prayer and anointing. Reflect on your experiences and consider how you can grow in this ministry.Let's Pray: Father, we thank You for the privilege to be Your hands and hearts on earth. Equip us with wisdom, sensitivity, and faith as we minister healing to those around us. May our actions reflect Your compassion and power, and may each prayer bring glory to Your name. Amen.As we step out to minister healing, remember that we are vessels of God's grace. Keep your heart open, your faith strong, and your hands ready to serve. In this episode, Kelly celebrates being “Fempowered”, together with Samantha Joy. We delve into inspiring stories about personal development, career, and relationships, discuss important issues addressing traumas, and provide empowering and healing experiences to uplift and support women everywhere.  [5:57] Be in Safe Spaces.  A big part of how I was able to move through the pain was being in safe spaces in community and telling my stories [10:24] Being Too Much.  Being too much gave me the life of my dreams. This is the most incredible dream come true [15:23] Own Your Life. I have this big beautiful rich life. I have all these incredible women and all these incredible people. I'm safe, I'm held, I'm worthy, I'm going places. [22:43] Choosing Myself.  Saying “No” at the altar as I did; I was saying yes to myself. I knew it wasn't right and that experience really was the catalyst to my greatest life journey. [25:30]  Traumatic Experiences We all experience trauma, whether big trauma or little trauma, and I feel like I carry that throughout my life. [29:00] Love Is Blind. I just got really lost in him. It's not that I was not myself but I didn't know who I was...I was losing myself. [36:35] Be Sensitive.  You have to facilitate that. You can't just open someone up to their wounds and be like “ok go out in the world again”. You have to really be with them and make them feel safe. [37:23] Knowing Your Body.  You need to learn your body and you need to learn to love your body and get intimate with it. [42:27] Traumas Don't Define You.  Those parts of you that are angry, that are disappointed, that whole chain, the whole guilt, that whole grief. They're just parts of you. They don't define you. You observe their appearance, and soon, their words shape your impressions. The introduction of a sermon is like that initial encounter. It determines whether the audience will stay engaged. Today, we delve into the art of crafting introductions that captivate and hold the attention of your listeners.Ways of Helping Relate a Speaker to an Audience:Be Appropriately Dressed:Choose attire that fits the occasion and enhances credibility.Understand the cultural expectations of your audience.Be Sensitive to the Congregation:Acknowledge the needs and concerns of your audience.Maintain a positive attitude and appreciation for those who choose to listen.Be Introduced Properly:Guide the person introducing you to emphasize your qualifications to preach/teach.Approach the Podium Confidently:Walk confidently, projecting relaxation without arrogance.Take a moment of silence before speaking to establish a calm presence.Sincerely Thank Everyone For Attending:Express gratitude, especially in non-regular settings.Be concise, sincere, and, if appropriate, inject humor thoughtfully.Avoid Trite Remarks:Steer clear of clichés; instead, relate your words to the positive characteristics of the church or ministry.Be Committed to Communicating Your Message:Prioritize your message over introductory techniques.Project a clear sense of purpose and conviction. Methods of Relating the Audience to the Subject:Attention Getters:Use captivating statements, rhetorical questions, or paradoxes.First impressions matter; captivate attention in the initial moments.Telling a Story:Narrate stories that build to a climax and create interest.Connect the narrative to the subject to bridge the gap between attention and interest.Creating Interest:Identify and address the felt needs of your audience.Connect your subject matter to their personal needs, creating a genuine interest.Introduce the Subject:Clearly state the subject of your message.Ensure your introduction aligns with the message's content; avoid over-promising or under-delivering.Summary:Effective introductions are crucial for holding people's attention throughout a sermon. They should relate the audience to the speaker and the subject. Craft your introduction to be about 10% of the total speaking time, ensuring it captures attention, raises needs, and orients the audience to the subject. It's The BreakDown Podcast w/ D. Malone

Pride Makes Us Fall Proverbs 16:18 NLT Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall. Pride is defined as inordinate self esteem, an unreasonable conceit of one's own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank or elevation in office which manifests in lofty airs, distance, reserve and often in contempt of others. Pride is a slow killer like asphyxiation, the airway closes up slowly as the person is left gasping for air. Did you know that Carbon monoxide has been compared to pride because you can't see it and it sneaks up on you and slowly takes you out. In order to recognize carbon monoxide you need a detector. Thank God we have an internal pride detector. Our sin detector The Holy Spirit! Pride focuses on self/ego. It exalts itself above God. It makes self the focus and not God. It kills our love for God. It is a heart posture issue. No let me say that correctly it's a heart sin. It's at the root of every sin. It truly affects everything. Pride is said to be the great destroyer. Pride says that I deserve better, treat yourself where Jesus says don't think of yourself more highly than you ought to and He tells us to follow Him we must deny ourselves. The world says those otherwise. Its not wise to follow the world, we follow Jesus. If we are not careful we can kill ourselves not recognizing our pride issues in our hearts. God wants our true humbled hearts not the hearts that become hardened. Not hearts that don't trust Him or rely on Him. He wants hearts that are fully His much like how we want our mates all to ourselves. God does not want our hearts divided. To get free from pride we must humble ourselves and repent. God is looking for contrite hearts, remorseful not arrogant or proud. 2 Chron 7:14 if my who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. Humility opens up doors that pride closes. Here's some help to get free 1 Ask the Lord where did it begin and to show when we were prideful? 2 Humble ourselves pray seek His face and repent 3 Be Sensitive to the Holy Spirit's nudges then repeat steps 1-3 I pray this message has touched in the way that the Spirit of the Lord has intended to and that pride will not be the sin we struggle with. I love you. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing

Success is a Healing Path with Rev. Frances Fayden

Rev. Frances Fayden is an Interfaith Minister, an Energetic Success Coach, and co-founder of the Magnify Your Miracles membership. A master intuitive healer and spiritual counselor, Frances is fluent in the language of the human energy field known as the chakra system and can quickly translate energetic information to help her clients heal & transform. In 2012, Frances had a profound encounter with Mother Mary, which changed the direction of her life and awakened her life purpose. She has been channeling messages from Mother Mary ever since. She loves working with Highly Sensitive Souls who have a big vision and mission yet are seeking validation and personal guidance with their next steps. Frances says, "By incorporating Mother Mary's guidance along with feedback from your own energy field, and then applying the Universal Laws of Manifestation, miracles can occur." She is the author of the books Meditation is Friendship with God and How to Recognize God. Her passion is connecting people to the unconditional love of the Divine and then teaching them how to magnify that connection, which is the key to Magnifying Your Miracles. What Does it Mean to Be Sensitive? Sensitivity is a spectrum. We all have some level of sensitivity. Often highly sensitive people are very in tune with energy, be it a person's energy or the energy of a space, home, building, or even city. Those who are highly sensitive are often highly creative and have a high level of awareness, and tend to notice things that might go undetected. Self-care is crucial for those who are higher on the sensitivity spectrum, as is having plenty of time for healing and self-care practices.    Finding Your Comfort Zone Rather than trying to push yourself out of your comfort zone, find out how you want to expand your comfort zone. Most spiritual entrepreneurs and highly sensitive people need a different way to bring forth their vision or run a business. The healing path of success is about being kind to yourself, building confidence through seeing what's working and what isn't, and most importantly, knowing your worth. Rather than shocking your system by trying to go too far out of your comfort zone, remember the mother nature metaphor of pregnancy, which is about a slow shifting of capacity and expansion, one day at a time.    Celebrate All Little Successes We tend to want the big wins now, but this is not how sustainable change and growth happens. Start celebrating your little successes now and watch as your capacity to receive, grow and succeed increases. As Rev. Frances said, "you shouldn't have to hurt yourself to succeed."    The Mantra That Will Change Your Life If you want greater freedom in your life, the key is forgiveness. Most importantly, forgiving yourself is crucial. One of the messages Rev. Frances channeled was from Archangel Zadkiel, who shared that one of the most powerful mantras you can say to yourself is, "I forgive". You don't even have to know who you are forgiving or why. There is no reason even to be specific as to what you are forgiving. Using it as a general statement and intention will tell your subconscious that you are ready to forgive on all levels. Hi Friend! Hope all is well. Thanks for tuning in to the I Got You Podcast where one can receive words of encouragement. Today's episode focuses on the second point of the “I Will Challenge”. I Challenge you to Be Sensitive to Another’s Challenge. Sometimes we encounter situations that seemingly take us by surprise; Especially when encountering other individuals. When this happens, there is a tendency to take things personally and attack the individual. This is unfair, and this is why. Do we know why the person acted that way?Do we know why they said it? Life can be unfair sometimes and affects all in different ways. Because of this, we can’t expect everyone to act the same in response to life’s varying test. That is why in this episode I explain the need for one to be sensitive to another’s challenges or simply put, be empathetic to someone’s challenges. When we place ourselves in the shoes of another it helps to share the pain, understand the thoughts, and feel the stress of the circumstance.
