Would it surprise you to know that investigators are interested in federal and state legislation? Why would that be, you ask? Mostly, because lawmakers, who are doing their best to enact laws to protect individual citizens, often are not aware of the far reaching unintended consequences that may result. Every year, a team of interested private investigator professionals visit the U.S. Senate and Congressional offices to get educated about pending legislation and to educate lawmakers on the possible consequences some bills may have on the judicial system and other investigative processes. Private Investigator Bill Pellerin from Texas and Bill Butcher from North Dakota along with Legislative Advocate Larry Sabbath representing the National Council of Investigation & Security Services will confer on this key topic and shed light on the essential need to protect current investigator access.
