In this message pastor Brian unpack's what it means to have "every spiritual blessing" in Christ. We are often familiar with the wounds of curses in our world but less aquatinted with what blessing is in Scripture and how we get it, why we need it, and how we give it away.
The church exist as this strange new family built around Jesus and we have a foundation of every spiritual blessing in Christ. This initiation from God results in our praise for God's plan for our lives.
Brian Fulton explains that too long have churches often seek to escape or judge messy and complex emotions such as fear, anxiety, grief and anger - they are all part of the human experience. Jesus is our model of someone who not only named his emotions but sat with them in his body to be attuned to his reality and offer them to God to experience radical acceptance.
Co-hosts Brian Fulton and Caitlin Heaney West take a look back at the history of the Mother's Day special edition, an annual tradition in the Scranton newspapers that started during the Great Depression. They'll also chat about what it takes to put together the Mother's Day section and what to expect this year.
