Recently, Dr. Jay Christianson and I decided to team up and do some interviews with Trevor Rubenstein of Chosen People Ministries. Chosen People ministries is a Messianic Ministry that has one goal to achieve, “To see the Jewish nation come to know their Messiah in Jesus.“ With ministry outposts in all areas around the globe where there are higher concentrations of Jews, you will find Chosen People ministries. Trevor Rubenstein lives and works in the Twin Cities, and his outreach is to reach the Jewish community here in Minnesota. Some Jews are extremely religious, while others are thoroughly atheistic. Of course, we think all Jews, being the chosen people from Scripture, would all have an understanding of who God is … not so much. So, for the next three episodes, Dr Jay Christianson and I will be having conversations with Trevor about Israel, Jews, and Antisemitism.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed GuestsListen to the Latest Episode of Challenging the Culture with Truth Podcast!Check out the Latest CitySites Urban Media Podcast Network Episode!Check out Larry's books!Visit the CitySites Urban Media YouTube ChannelCheck out It Is That Simple, The Simple Ideas of Profound TruthsCheck out Monday Morning Mindset with Dr. Nathan UnruhCheck out Lenny's Corner with Dr. Lennard Stoeklen

What is the state of Christian efforts to reach out to their Jewish friends and neighbors? What are the biggest barriers Jews have to considering the claims of Christ? And how can Christians lovingly engage their Jewish friends with the gospel? In this episode, Sean and Scott talk with Mitch Glaser, from Chosen People Ministries, to discuss these questions and more. Dr. Glaser gives practical, historical, and biblical insights to these questions. Even though he grew up in a nominally Orthodox Jewish home in New York, and he dabbled in New Age beliefs, Mitch Glaser became a Christian in 1970. Dr. Glaser is an alumnus of Northeastern Bible College and holds a Master of Divinity degree in Old Testament from Talbot School of Theology as well as a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Intercultural Studies. Both Mitch and his wife Zhava teach at the Charles Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies — a partnership between Chosen People Ministries and Talbot School of Theology. ==========Think Biblically: Conversations on Faith and Culture is a podcast from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, which offers degrees both online and on campus in Southern California. Mary welcomes Dr. Mitch Glaser, director of Chosen People Ministries since 1997. Chosen People is one of the oldest and largest Messianic missions in the US, having been founded in 1894. Today we get to know him a bit, through his testimony and also the story of Chosen People, what they believe, what they do. We will look at the current state of antisemitism, not just in the US but around the world. Also on the program, we talk about the peace process and the status of the ceasefire talks, something that President Trump has stated is essential for bringing the hostages home as soon as possible. Finally, we look at evangelizing the Jews, how best to do that in light of their rejection of the New Testament gospel. How can evangelicals bring the gospel to the Jews, many of whom reject the New Testament and also know little about the Old? Dr. Glaser also fills us in on his recent trip to Israel, the beauty and significance of the land, and the importance of understanding the political landscape and how the world views them.
