Our Lord Jesus Christ is the revelation of God. He shows us who God is.This is especially true at the end of Our Lord's life. We reveal what we are particularly in a time of crisis. It is the time of Our Lord's Passion that we see more clearly than ever before Who He is, Who God is.The Last Supper and the Passion make one thing very clear: our God is humble. Each event of the Last Supper and the Passion is a manifestation of Our Lord's humility. There are many aspects of Our Lord's humility that we could speak about. But I want to focus on one of them: Our Lord's effort to lower Himself in order to do good to us.We could say that Our Lord has to make a choice between two things: love and justice. If He chooses justice, He maintains Himself strictly in His state of Godhood. If He chooses love, He lowers Himself so that He can stoop down to His miserable creatures and assist them.We see what Our Lord chooses. He chooses love, a love that works through humility. The love of God uses humility as the most effective way to express itself and achieve its goal of doing good to us.On this night of the Last Supper, Our Lord performs three great acts of humility that enable Him to do great good to the Apostles and also to us.
1) Challenging Traditional Interpretations: The video directly addresses the common theological arguments that Jesus's ability to forgive sins and raise the dead proves his divinity. It presents counterarguments, suggesting that these actions do not necessarily equate to Godhood, as similar actions are attributed to other figures in both the Old and New Testaments. 2) Forgiveness of Sins: The presenter analyzes biblical passages where Jesus forgives sins, and then compares those passages to Old testament passages where priests atone for sins. It explores the concept of authority granted by God, arguing that Jesus's ability to forgive sins was given to him, and then that Jesus gave that authority to the apostles. The video then dives into the concept of Divine Sophia, and how Sophia is described as saving people from sin in the book of wisdom. 3) Resurrection and Divine Power: The video examines instances where Jesus raises people from the dead, such as the raising of the young man in Nain and Lazarus. It draws parallels with Old Testament figures like Elijah and Elisha, who also performed resurrections. The video also discusses the apostles Peter and Paul, who also raised people from the dead. The presenter argues that if raising the dead is proof of Godhood, then these other biblical figures would also have to be considered divine. 4) Divine Sophia and Jesus's Attributes: The video connects Jesus's attributes, such as being "the way, the truth, and the life" and "the light of the world," to the concept of Divine Sophia. It cites passages from wisdom literature that describe Sophia as the source of life, light, and immortality. The presenter makes the argument that the listeners of Jesus's time, would have related his descriptions of himself, to the previously established descriptions of Sophia. 5) Spiritual Interpretation of Biblical Events: The video offers a spiritual interpretation of events like the Israelites' passage through the Red Sea, viewing them as symbolic rather than purely literal. The presenter discusses the passage in 1 Corinthians where it states that the rock that followed the Israelites was Christ. 6) The Role of Intercessors: The video discusses the role of intercessors, such as priests and apostles, in mediating between God and humanity. It argues that these figures act with authority granted by God, rather than possessing inherent divinity.Sections: 1:14 Forgiving Sins - Salvation12:28 “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”18:03 Jesus and the Holy Spirit21:28 Resurrecting Others and God-Evidence32:05 General Concepts41:33 The Feast and the Peculiar Food56:37 Eternal and Yet Created1:01:44 SummaryDownload MP3 and PDF: https://tinyurl.com/5bks9hn3 Links: Podcast (apple): https://goo.gl/CM4TmV Podcast (android): https://goo.gl/ovLmps Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/bridgingbeliefs Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BridgingBeliefs9 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bridgingbeliefs9/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BridgingBeliefs The Official Bahá'í site: http://www.bahai.org/ No videos on this channel are monetized nor are for commercial purposes.Support the show

Grasping for Godhood with Joshua LiemGenesis 2:25-3:24In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve grasp for godhood, seeking wisdom and control on their own terms… and the world begins its descent into chaos. This Sunday, we'll explore the deception of the serpent, the fall of humanity, and the profound contrast between their grasping and Christ's humility in Philippians 2. Join us as we uncover the hope hidden within the curses and reflect on how God's mercy points us to a Savior who did not grasp for power but gave himself for us. Come ready to wrestle with questions and discover a fresh perspective on this ancient story.DQs:What stands out to you about the serpent's method of deception in Genesis 3? How do you see similar tactics at work today? Why do you think Adam and Eve's sin was described as “grasping for godhood”? How does this contrast with Jesus' humility in Philippians 2?What role does trust in God's timing and provision play in resisting temptation? How can we grow in that trust?Discuss the nature of the consequences in Genesis 3. Do you see them as punishments, warnings, or something else? Why?How does the idea of Adam's passivity shape your understanding of sin and responsibility? What lessons can we draw from it?Do you find it comforting or challenging that God sought Adam and Eve after they sinned? How does this shape your view of God's character? What does it mean to you that Adam named his wife “Eve” after the curses were pronounced? Where do you see signs of hope even in difficult circumstances? How does this passage challenge or affirm your view of gender roles and equality? Further Resources :Amanda W. Send us a textHello dragon fans, and welcome back to another episode of World of Dragons! Admittedly, it has been quite a while since our last upload, but part of that is due to Rei wanting to read multiple books at once for a review. This episode we're reviewing the Dragon Sorcerer series, by Sean Oswald. The first book of the series is Claws Out, and was the book we had Bantam read to give his impressions, Rei decided to read ahead so he could let you dragon fans know if this was going to be another betrayal, like the Dragon Friend series was (minor rant included in the episode).Join us as we discuss the first dragon shifter book that Rei has enjoyed, and actually considers to be a good book with the shifting being useful and not a cheap way to hide the dragon. Rei has a lot of good things to say about the series, and we even have a few tangents included for different tropes, what fun!If you stick around after the ending music, Rei will comment on a few plot points that happen in later books, so big fat SPOILER warning for that, but he will do so with the intent of letting you listeners who are on the fence or nervous about the course of the book know if its going to go into territory that would disappoint you. For example, if the book 4 the dragon was going to give up his dragonhood and be human forever (he doesn't) that's the kind of thing he would spoil so you don't get blindsided and betrayed. 710 To Whom The Word Of God Came, A Guided Christian Meditation on John 10:34-39 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization. Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate. Scripture for Meditation John 10 NIV 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”'[d]? 35 If he called them ‘gods,' to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God's Son'? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. NASB 34 Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law: ‘I said, you are gods'? 35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be nullified), 36 are you saying of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,' because I said, ‘I am the Son of God'? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may [h]know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.” 39 Therefore they were seeking again to arrest Him, and He eluded their grasp. Meditation on Scripture: Jesus Quotes Psalm 82 to show us that the true power comes from the will and decisions of God. True Goodness comes from God. The Messianic role fulfilled by Jesus came through the power of God. There is a great irony of having Jesus accused of Blasphemy. This scripture is deep and has many lessons but, at this moment I'd like to reflect on this.. Has the word of God come to you? Jesus is the word, spoken of in John 1 that was with God and was God. Awareness about Jesus is the heart of this. Do we understand that the true word referred to here is embodied in Jesus who was sent to the world to make us holy. Without Jesus and the works he came to do, none of the other struggles of life has any eternal meaning. As we put our trust in Jesus we are swallowed up in the power of God over the whole world and every possible dimension and eternal consequence. In this moment if you haven't done so already, choose to follow Jesus and learn of Him for the rest of your life. If you have already chosen this, then grab hold of that memory and decision and embrace it in your mind and heart. Let us recommit to that. To continually bring our minds and hearts back to that decision. Embrace the things God says in scripture as eternally important and allow that word to take hold in your heart by reflecting on it, reading it, meditating on it, as we are here. Overall we should seek to feast on it. God cannot blaspheme. It is certainly not blasphemy for God to describe something about Godhood that we dont understand. Had the Jews realized that Jesus was God it would have been ridiculous to call out Jesus for Blasphemy. As we embrace Jesus as the Savior of the world we also embrace His sovereignty about the truth. God can guide you in your life and learning how to receive that is one of the greatest lessons of life. Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind? If you've lived in the US for long, you've probably had members of the Jehovah's Witnesses come to your door at some point. How much do you know about them and what they believe? And what does their continued existence tell us about the world and the church today? Similar to the Mormons in that they are a cult formed in the wake of the Second Great Awakening, the Jehovah's Witnesses started in 1870. Today, they are mostly known for their door-to-door witnessing and their booklets and other publications distributed by the “Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania”, the parent organization of most Jehovah's Witness denominational ministries. In this episode, we want to talk about Jehovah's Witnesses, what they believe, and why they have continued to have some measure of success in the world. Joining us for this episode is Je'quan Underwood, a member of our church who has spent a fair bit of time talking to and witnessing to Jehovah's Witnesses. Similar to Mormons, it's easy to dismiss their claims as crazy, but the simple truth is that false religions exist because people are seeking to live in the world and to deal with their own sin and the sin of others without accepting the truth about Jesus Christ, Godhood, and the way of salvation. And while there are specific things that are useful to point out if you talk to a Jehovah's Witness, there is no magic phrase or piece of information that you can give them to cause them to turn away from their false religion. The issue is spiritual, not intellectual. But at the same time, it's useful to understand what they say they believe as false religions in each age of the church push against specific doctrines that offend the mind and heart of man. Please join us as we discuss this topic. . Go To http://patreon.com/MormonRenegade368 For Exclusive Content There are so many cool things about Mormonism. Plurality of Gods, Priesthood, Ascension to Godhood, Temple ordinances and on and on it goes. Perhaps one the most misunderstood of theses are seer stones. Many a Mormon has become a little freaked out about the topic and understandably so. I mean it's not something that seems to be in the Christian vernacular a whole bunch. None the less we know that Joseph Smith used one as did Brigham Young so there's certainly something to it and it deserves our attention. On this episode I have Kevin Kraut back on the podcast to talk about this very subject and I can't think of a better for it. I mean his dad literally wrote the book on the subject. We cover the biblical history of seer stones, the use of them by Joseph Smith and other early Mormon leaders. From there we then have a conversation about how they were used and how they fit into the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. On the final day of Paryushan, Acharya Shree reminds us to practice forgiveness. So as long as we hold on to regret, guilt, resentment, anger, ego, etc. then it will continue to block us for the rest of life. Clear your karma. Wake up so you don't keep collecting karma. When you forgive yourself and others, when you are friends with all living beings, you will be free one day.The highest state of meditation is realizing, "I am alone. I don't belong to others. And others are not mine." Welcome to How to Be a Better DM, the official podcast of Monsters.Rent. I'm your host today, Justin Lewis, and together we are going to talk about how to improve your gameplay both from a mechanical and storytelling point of view.Today, I'm excited to talk about an aspect of the game that for me holds a lot of interest and for a lot of people can be a rich source of story elements and intrigue. At the same time, for other people it can be completely boring, and possibly offputting. I'm talking about Gods, faith and religion. Before I get into the rest of today's episode, I want to take a moment to talk about The Guild. For those of you who don't know, the Guild is our unique membership for dungeon masters. It allows you to connect with other DMs like yourself and get access to a library of video courses and downloadable resources for your gameplay. Oh and it's 100% free. I hope you'll join us there, so go to monsters.rent/get-started and scroll all the way to the bottom.Table ComfortNow, the very first thing you need to do is assess your table's comfort level with the topics of God, Religion, and Faith. In some cases, you'll have a natural understanding. In my case, a few members of my table are also members of my faith, so I knew that they would be ok having some of those topics in the game. In other circumstances, it would be a smart idea to ask if the table is alright with those themes and topics being in the game. In most D&D settings, having a mystical god or gods is all part and parcel to the game, but depending on how your players feel about it, then you might want to tread lightly. Some games might be focused on the path of divinity, others might have gods as simply an afterthought. No matter what you do, you want to avoid these two mistakes.Avoid Pushing ReligionSaying this as a religious person, you absolutely do not want to turn your D&D sessions into sermons. I know you're probably thinking that that would kind of be funny, and it might, but honestly, you don't want to force players into roleplaying something they don't want to roleplay. A person's faith is a very personal thing, and if someone is not a person of faith, religion or Diety, then they don't have to be even in a make-believe world.Avoid Making A Farce of ReligionOn the other side of the coin, you definitely don't want to make fun of religion and make it appear as something that is farcical. Even though your players may be ok with it, it's best not to form bad habits because there will come a time when you sit down to play at a table with someone who cares, and then you'll make the slip up of a lifetime. Best to avoid those big mistakes. Extend the same consideration and courtesy you would to any other sort of way of life. Now, with your players on board for having Gods be an active part of the game, let's talk about some other questions you need to ask. These questions apply to both homebrew settings and settings that are prewritten, but the questions will apply a little differently to each. How Involved Will Your Gods BeThe first question that you need to ask is how involved will Godhood (god or gods) be in your setting or game. This is important because if they won't even matter, then you likely don't need anything else in this episode. I'd still recommend listening to the end because you never know when a player might ask you a question or make a choice that will make the gods much more involved. In different settings, Gods behave differently. In some games, Gods are active members of the universe, granting divine boons with ease. In other settings, Gods are basically hidden from sight, deigning not to intervene with their followers' lives. It's important that you know which type of setting yours is and how the Gods will interact with players...
Often times we don't accept challenges because of fear of failure. Fear is one of the biggest blockages on the path - for society and the spiritual one.People need challenges in order to get stronger. Don't be afraid of the struggle. If it's only easy, then there is no joy. You must enjoy and value the path and that comes through the struggle. You can feel the win of overcoming your karma and ego, because you experience soul more. Always face and accept your challenges, especially the ones on the spiritual path. Who is afraid can't move forward.Acharya Shree breaks down the 25 blockages of meditation, real meditation. He also shares the story of Tirthankar Mallibhai, a female Tirthankar and Enlightened Master, who was the fastest to attain enlightenment as a Tirthankar. In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. In The Simulation, Life begins the moment you begin to own your godhood. Everything in this world seeks to bring you lower, wanting you to lower yourself. And when you try to rise, everyone around you seems programmed to pull you down like-like crabs in a bucket-to make you less than what you know yourself to be. What if the gods walk amongst us? Euhemerism is an approach to interpreting mythology that suggests that myths and legends are based on historical events and real individuals who were gradually deified over time. In Eastern Theology, the Atman (individual soul) is identical with Brahman, the ultimate and unchanging reality or Collective Cosmic Consciousness. From this perspective, there is an interconnectedness between all living beings, and the divine essence (Brahman) is present within each individual as their true nature. If we are in fact fractals of the Consciousness of our reality-the consciousness that creates our reality-then, much like a hologram, each fractal has the whole contained within. Every day is a day of Paryushan. Every day is a celebration of soul.Acharya Shree reveals our inner enemies, which are the things we need to renounce:our mind, our five senses, and ego, greediness, anger, deceitfulness and anger. If you win over 1, you win over 5, and you win over 10.We are constantly bothered by the mind and so the mind needs to be renounced. Desires of the mind and senses never end. They keep you in illusion, fantasy, emotions and desires, which all lead to suffering.Through renouncing what you hear, what you taste, what you smell, what you see, what you touch, and you're not into these things, your soul becomes freer and free. The problem is that the senses have so much power and the soul is weak. When you really renounce these things, as a monk or householder, you become free. Soul is waiting for you, to help free it. Will you start taking the real steps towards that? What will it take?In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. Acharya Shree Yogeesh initially focused on the Namokar mantra, the power of it and what it really means with an-indepth dive into each line of the universal mantra. A mantra is a divine sound which creates spiritual, positive, healing and protective energy. Some mantras have the power to dissolve a lot of karma. Start your journey where you are. Never try to be someone else. Do not get trapped into the illusion of beauty. Be happy with yourself as you are now, and as you are begin your spiritual journey. We continue to imitate others in this world, it's an illusion to be others. Be yourself. Love and appreciate your soul. Consider your body a rental home: it's not yours, but you have to take care of it. Use it as you need it. The biggest deceiver is the body. Learn how to meditate and detach from the body, then you'll begin to know your real self, soul, more and more.In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. Acharya Shree continues his deep dive into soul and meditation. There are two things eternal, soul and matter. Matter has 5 elements and matter is also karma. Soul + Matter = jivatma (a living being); Soul - Matter = paraatma (God); thus Soul is God.An inner click and awakening are glimpses into the soul where you begin to realize the non-truth of the world and the truth of your soul. When the clicks are too strong, it's difficult to continue living in illusion because now you've connected to soul. But the journey doesn't stop there, you must begin to work on your lower qualities, especially your ego.The ego blocks all the souls light, so it is important to start dissolving it. Ego is the real sin and keeps you away from soul. When you meditate and enter the higher states of meditation and consciousness you realize more and more you are soul and not the mind. That is how to dissolve your ego. Unless you are in a higher state the ego will control and ruin your life.In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. The har truth is: People continue to get lost over and over again. The real purpose of this human life is only one thing: to know who you really are. If you are focused on other things, then you are wasting your life. Are you wasting your life in desires or are you focused on your soul?To help you focus, Acharya Shree the one-pointed meditation and concentration technique of Tratka. When your thoughts and energy flow in one direction, without distraction, a lot of energy and focus power is created and your meditation muscle is strengthened to help you dive deeper into soul when you close your eyes. The mind is the biggest power, but no one knows how to use it for their spirituality and in a positive way.In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. Paryushan is a celebration that promotes and support spiritual strength, fasting, reflection, and deepened experiences of the soul. We forget how valuable, precious and priceless we are. We don't value ourselves and our soul, and we blame God for everything. People want spirituality, they want the easy path and they don't want to take responsibility for anything. Spirituality requires a lot of will, courage, confidence and strength. Acharya Shree suggests that meditation is one of the fastest ways, along with fasting, to burn karma because meditation, the real meditation, is a fire. He suggests to people to DIVORCE the WORLD and be with soul. Meditation is the real prayer - no asking, no listening, just being. Can you experience it?In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree focuses on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. The biggest distraction of the spiritual path is the body, then the mind. When you discover your body, you will discover the whole universe. We have lost our instincts and realization of soul because of stress, tension and emotion. We need to reevaluate how we look at meditation, too -- is it to reduce stress, for peace of mind, or to realize who we really are.In the Paryushan Series of 2023, Acharya Shree will focus on Meditation and sharing tips, techniques and teachings to help you arrive at your self. For those who have already read or are quite familiar with the 'King Follett Discourse', this episode of our reading and commentary is abridged to contain less of the text read aloud. You can find the complete version previously published ... --- In this episode the siblings read and comment on 'The King Follett Discourse', its theological significance, and its influence on Mormonism. In April of 1844, Joseph Smith spoke to a crowd of many thousands (saints and detractors alike) and delivered what would be the most directly recorded public address of his life, and the last such address he would give before his death in June. The sermon is also one of the most consequential and controversial in regards to the unique doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as it contains the theology of man's potential progression to Godhood, the origin of our Heavenly Father as a man and not an otherwise eternal entity, the council of Gods that planned this world and its salvation, the physical stature of those in the afterlife who died as children, and the eternal nature of matter and intelligence. However, despite its significance and pedigree of record, it has never been canonized by the church and it seems many members are unaware of the event or the origin of these themes … In this episode, we read the amalgamated text published by BYU Studies in its entirety and commentate throughout.
