For far too long, homosexual activists have tried to twist Scripture to make it look as though the Bible supports same-sex attraction. Joe Dallas will join us to discuss another book recently released that tries, yet again, to make it look like God’s love knows no bounds – and therefore, there really is no need for repentance from sin. Using the ‘straight stick of God’s truth’ as our metric, we will examine some twisted ideas being ‘sold’ in the marketplace of ideas.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is it possible that a multi-tentacled “creature” has crawled and slithered its way into the halls of power and is moving and influencing lawmakers and policy in our federal government? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest said that not only is it possible, but that it has been going on for years. He pulled back the multi-layered curtain of government bureaucracy to reveal the names of the people and organizations who, through money or other means continue to impact the attitudes and actions of those charged with representing the American people’s best interests and the dangers they pose to life, liberty and the American family. Let’s face it, if there is one area of life where it is easy to get confused and entangled in ideas and behaviors that are not right for us, it is sex and sexuality. We have been living in a sexually saturated culture for a long time now and without clear guidance believers like anybody else, can make wrong turns that damage our lives and lead us away from the good plans of God for this part of our human experience. Our guest, a highly respected expert in these matters drew us back to God’s word to get us back on the right path. She explained why there is a difference between sex and sexuality, how and why our identity is tied to our sexuality and what it means to live a sexually surrendered life. From time immemorial mankind has loved the good guy VS bad guy story. From twirling mustachioed villains, to black and white hats in the old west, to today’s modern cinematic superpowered heroes and their equally powered enemies, we love a great good guy VS bad guy tale. But why? Our guest explained how our desire to see heroes who fight for the greater good and sacrifice themselves for the betterment of others have deeper roots that most of us understand and that once we do these stories can create bridges of conversation to share the love of Jesus, the ultimate hero who came and sacrificed Himself for others, with those who do not yet know Him. There are some who believe that God has changed His plans for the Jewish people over time and that He has put His promises for them into the church? This is no slight matter! So, we turned to an expert on Jewish history and God’s word to deconstruct this viewpoint and then hold the mirror of God’s word up to it to see if it has any merit. His clear and scripturally grounded explanation helped clear up the cobwebs that many have been looking through regarding this very important issue. The Middle East continues to be unstable, faith and family continue to get attacked from all sides, but the word of God continues to stand tall and firm in truth and power providing guidance and clarity. Janet and Craig once again get beyond the headlines and continue teaching us how to discern truth from confusion in the marketplace of ideas.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we celebrated some very important victories for home schooling parents and their children and lengthened your prayer lists on some other battles that are still being waged against them. We also joined a high respected statistician and expert on the “real numbers” of life and faith in America today to take a close look at what his most recent survey has to say about how many Americans subscribe to a biblical worldview and how many do not across all 50 states. What he discovered and shared with us has a direct impact on how we engage with friends, family and co-workers who have yet to come to know Christ. Our favorite friend of the Iranian people joined us once again for an update on how the tensions in that part of the world are playing out the street-level lives of regular Iranians, why so many are hungering for spiritual freedom and are open like never before to the message of the gospel. Science has created ethical concerns that we have never been confronted with before and that’s why we turned once again to a friend of the program who has his finger constantly on the pulse of this very important issue to keep us updated on what is going on and how it is impacting and influencing thoughts and behaviors of people who impact our live in sometimes imperceptible but always impactful ways. He shared the powerful story of a brain-dead mother whose body was kept alive in order to fulfill her wish and have her baby be delivered. Some have related this to the abortion issue. Our guest brought clarity to the matter. He also addressed the ethics breaking efforts of China as it pushes the homosexual agenda by making it possible for two male mice to “conceive” and give birth. Determining your own destiny, that idea sounds so good to our human, fallen selves doesn’t it? And we hear it all around us from self-help books to the media that we consume. But it is an old and ancient thought and behind its shiny progressive cover it hides deep and life impacting deception. Our guest, a highly respected apologist exposed these lies of progressive Christianity and reminded us once again in Whom our true freedom can only be found. We live in a modern society that is starving for purpose and meaning. People are turning to all sorts of promises and claims from snake oil salesmen in the marketplace of ideas who promise so much but deliver nothing of permanence or substance. Our guest helped us understand why these various pitches and promises continue to fail and how they have been used to pull our society off course from where it should be. He explained how getting a better grip on the confusion of our times will help us better understand the need and practice of biblically grounded spiritual disciplines in all of our lives. As we finish out another week, we invite you once again to join us in our radio classroom as our favorite husband and wife team continue teaching us how to discern truth from trickery by using the unbending truth of God’s word as our guide.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Do you ever reminisce about the good old days? We took a trip down memory lane to a time when political decisions were based on strong moral values, and when faith allowed men of consequence to weather tumultuous times. Our source material for this nostalgia sesh is GEORGE W. BUSH: FAITH IN THE WHITE HOUSE, a “documentary” (heavy emphasis on the scare quotes) produced by GRIZZLY ADAMS creator Charles E. Sellier Jr. and hosted by conservative radio host Janet Parshall. The thesis of the documentary is that the 43rd American president's strong personal Christian faith is what gave him strength during the September 11th terrorist attacks, the toughest circumstances ever beset upon an American president since George Washington. On the DVD jacket for the documentary, it bills itself as alternative programming to Michael Moore's FAHRENHEIT 9/11, a cultural product also from 2004 that argues active malice among politicians and the media class leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths in the Iraq War. Wanting to be more fair and balanced than Michael Moore, GEORGE W. BUSH: FAITH IN THE WHITE HOUSE takes the funny tone of pretending to present sides of praise and criticism of George W. Bush, but then immediately settling on the most maudlin stories of Bush giving great hugs and being caring to his staffers during hard times in their lives. The obvious point of view here is to launder Bush's difficult and destructive political decisions through the lens of him being a real sweetie. The stories of Bush's day-to-day demeanor may be true, but how does that explain his desire to enter the Iraq War? Did God guide Bush to the “lesser of two evils” that protected American lives and liberated the Islamic world? I guess we'll never know for sure, because God hasn't allowed us to live in the reality where we saw the other side. It could have been even worse! GEORGE W. BUSH: FAITH IN THE WHITE HOUSE assures us that is probably the case; after all, Bush's is constantly seen praying in the Oval Office, always wears a suit, and donated money to the evangelical “crusades” of roving minister Arthur Blessitt, whom he met at a Holiday Inn. A guy like that is probably gonna do the right thing, so don't worry about it! On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week Janet was joined by her daughter as they took us back 50 years to discuss what led to the creation of Title IX, what it was originally designed to do, and why we must continually fight to preserve and protect this important law for the sake of girls and women across our nation. A marine biologist shared how her faith compliments and informs her work and the surprising and powerful lessons God has taught her about Himself through her efforts to save the coral reefs and other adventures. A former rebel from God shared his powerful story of coming to a personal relationship with Jesus and how God led his life into ministry that is changing other lives for eternity. Hatred for the Jews is at an all-time high around the world including here in the “land of the free and the home of the brave”. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a highly respected Jewish follower of the Messiah who shared his story of coming to Christ, the importance of the 1948 establishment of the nation of Israel and why the antisemitism we are seeing today is not just a political matter, but it is both irrational and demonic at its core. We took you on another radio flight to Australia as we spent some quality time with our favorite Scottish apologist who shared the sobering news out of the United Kingdom where the Parliament has passed an assisted suicide law and legislation allowing abortion through birth. One of the most acclaimed proponents of Darwinism challenged the claims of Intelligent Design. Our guest, a respected geologist shared his own unique journey to saving faith, explained this important debate and told us which view the scientific facts actually support. We shared the insights of a highly respected bible theologian and teacher on how we got the cannon of scripture, why despite its long creation history and many authors, it maintains a unified message because of its inspiration through the Holy Spirit. He also explained how God continues to use key theological themes to draw, transform and bring lives to Himself. Truth is not relative! We all witnessed history being made this week as ongoing conflicts in the Middle East moved up to another level. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had another enlightening and timely conversation with a highly respected expert on national security issues to dig deeper into Israel’s decisive action against Iran, who was financially behind the “No Kings” demonstrations across the country and more efforts by China to wake a “smokeless war” with the United States including efforts to smuggle toxic fungus into the U.S. and the advancements in methods to wage so-called “brain warfare” against our military leaders and others. The increase in confusion about sexual identity in our society today has created confusion and concerns in families across the country. We spoke to a woman who once lived a same-sex attraction lifestyle, who answered your questions related to the challenges of loving someone who is struggling with these issues. She gave clear, biblical answers to some of your most important questions. The younger generation today is less inclined to be interested in church or a personal faith than the ones that came before them. But our guests, two highly respected teachers and apologists joined forces to talk about what can be done to encourage these young people to own their faith and share it with those they meet. A new documentary delves deep into the mystery of miracles and whether or not they still happen in our 21st. century world. Our fighter for human dignity joined us once again to talk about more of the issues that are pushing the agenda of those who want to diminish our unique God-given role in creation including efforts by members of the U.N to give human rights to nature and the cruelty of Canada’s ongoing euthanasia program. She answered your questions with personal and professional insight grounded in clear guidance from God’s word. Although the news is filled with crisis in the Middle East there are other battlefronts that are creating great concerns. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we opened the week with an important conversation with a man whose life was once dominated by same-sex attraction. He delved into his childhood and relationship with his parents to help us understand that these desires do not appear in a vacuum. He explained why so many use same-sex attraction as a means of attempting to heal the brokenness they feel inside and why an authentic relationship with Christ is the only true healing for such a damaged identity. Once again, we were joined by a highly respected apologist who used his own journey from Islam to Christianity to help us understand why the Muslim perception of Jesus as a prophet and a good man is honorable but misses the point entirely of who He is and why He came. Our guest delved deep into the historicity of the founder of Islam, how much dependable evidence for his life really exists and why there is so much at stake for Muslims, like himself, who choose to turn away from Islam and embrace Christianity. Domestic violence and attempted murder were the starting place of a powerful story one woman shared with us about how she learned what true healing and dependance upon God really looks like. Through her harrowing experiences she gave us biblical and practical insight on what it looks like to choose to truly forgive those who hurts us and to trust God’s goodness even when you can’t see it or don’t feel it. She explained how God can take even the worst thorns of brutality and blossom them into roses of healing and restoration, if we let Him. Are we really seeing the truth about what is going on behind the totalitarian regime of Iran? Our guest has been serving as a messenger of the gospel to the Iranian people for many years and he joined us once again to share more of the amazing stories of God saving and transforming lives in that nation. You know the old saying that hindsight is 20/20. We are now living in the “hindsight” of the sexual revolution whose promise of freedom and liberty has turned into a poison pill that compromised some of the most important foundational truths of our humanity. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest laid out the history of the revolution and explained how abortion and the rise of transgenderism became the outcome of our national pursuit of libertinism. He also explained why a Christian sexual ethic is so important and how Christ-centered marriages are the antidote to the damages of the sexual revolution. Have you ever thought about the fact that every created thing that is , has been or ever will be ultimately finds its origin in the infinitely creative mind of the God who made us creative beings? Our guest helped see the bridge between creativity and ownership and why they are not mutually exclusive. Combing his wide experience related to ownership of intellectual property and patent law with his understanding of the Christian faith, he helped us understand why God allows us to have a limited form of ownership over our creative endeavors, why it is not counter to scripture to own intellectual property and why He made us creative in the first place. We pealed back a small corner of the veil that separates us from the supernatural world as a highly respected bible teacher joined us for a discussion of the realm hidden from our eyes, yet impacting our world, human history and the future before us constantly. Our guest answered intriguing questions like: What was the rebellion at the Tower of Babel really about?, Why did God destroy Sodom?, What are the roles of angels and demons in scripture and are they really at work behind world events today? Framed through a biblical lens, they discuss the challenges of navigating the information age, stressing the need for critical thinking, cultural engagement, and discernment. The conversation also addresses the urgency of evangelism, the distinction between influencers and true thought leaders, and growing concerns about the church's direction and the rise of soft totalitarianism. They urge listeners to stay rooted in truth, read deeply, and prepare wisely for the road ahead. Takeaways: Journalism has evolved from factual reporting to sensationalism. The 24/7 news cycle prioritizes speed over quality. Trust in media is at an all-time low, with only 31% of Americans expressing confidence. Critical thinking is essential for a biblical worldview. We turned to the phone lines to hear about the father-figures in the lives of our listeners and how they impacted their lives. We also had Ron Deal join us to discuss the role and significance of a non-biological father figure, the step-dad. Ron is a best-selling author, licensed marriage and family therapist, podcaster, and popular conference speaker. He is also the Founder and President of Smart Stepfamilies and Director of Blended, a division of Family Life. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we tackled a subject that can cripple a life and a faith walk: anxiety. We spoke to a father and son team who educated us what exactly anxiety is and is not, why it is different than worry and how to use God’s word as a healing antidote to anxiety. Much like anxiety, depression can also take us down for the count. Once again, we turned to a friend of the program and a highly family therapist to address this important topic head on. She gave us a better understanding of what depression is and she addressed the need for the church to continue to show sensitivity to those who struggle with mental challenges allowing them to find love, understating and acceptance within the family of God. Once again, we visited with a highly respected evangelist and friend of the program who talked about some of the most common types of resistance that he encounters when sharing the good news and how to navigate them. He also gave us some important insights into how to share the gospel message with family members. In the push and pull of life it is so easy for believers to be so earth focused that we forget the greatest promise of God to His children, a life beyond this veil of tears in Heaven with Him forever. Our guest explained why God has placed the hope of Heaven at the center of the Christian faith. Through a series of biblical meditations he helped a gain a greater appreciation of this great inheritance while we trod the soil of the here and now. Perhaps never before has there been such a need for God’s people to use their discernment when reading the news. We invite you to sharpen those skills as our favorite husband and wife team dig deep to find the story behind the stories as they examine more headlines of the week against God’s straight stick of truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Prayer is an indispensable part of the believer’s life but is so often one of the most confusing parts as well. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we turned to a trusted friend and highly regarded bible teacher to clear up that confusion. He tackled topics like what prayer is and is not, why it is so vital to the life of the Christian and whether or not prayer can actually change the mind and plans of God. For many it is easier to believe that man is a machine with no soul controlled by the organ of the brain. But a highly respected neurosurgeon begs to differ. We shared the insights of this former non-believer who shared the highly personal story of how God reached into his life and made Himself known. Then relying on his more than 40 yeas of practice in the field of brain medicine, he explained why science has it wrong and that the soul is real and why the brain alone can not explain the existence of the mind. The homosexual agenda is coming for the heart of the of the Christian faith by bending the holy word of God to fit its ideas. We talked to former gay man who has spent his life drawing others in that lifestyle to the hope of Christ. He addressed the efforts of a new book to view the Bible, the people in it and Jesus Himself through the lens of queer acceptance. Our guest grounded us firmly in the truth of scripture to expose the fallacies and misguided teachings of those are pushing this agenda. We visited with our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry to hear more stories of how God is moving and working in the lives of these creative people. Then we talked to one of our favorite friends who shared more stories of Jesus changing the lives of people in the Middle East including Palestinians and Orthodox Jews who are turning to the Savior. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we honored the men and women who serve in the armed forces by hearing from a husband and wife who endured the challenges of a soldier coming home from battle with the scars of war and how faith and love brought healing and restoration to their lives and marriage. Their story reminded us that even with the deepest wounds there is healing when we entrust our lives to the loving hands of God. Although there is a historical separation in time between the events of the Old and New Testaments our guest explained how explained the links between both part of the book as God’s whole revelation of Himself to the world. He explained how as far back as Genesis God has revealed His plan of salvation through His promised Son coming and becoming the sacrifice that provided salvation to mankind. Since Covid 19 how we work in the modern world has definitely changed, but our need to work and be successful not only in the doing but in honoring God and using the talents and skills He has given us, has not changed. Our guest laid out some strategies to help us discover what our spiritual gifts are and how to implement them as part of our work to create purpose and success in our professional lives. Why do believers have a fear of sharing the gospel message with those who need to hear it most? Our guest helped us better understand those fears and why this message of hope is so often rejected by non-believers and how to live our lives as living examples of His message of hope. It is time to dig deep into the headlines of the week as we hold to account more of the messages being bought and sold in the marketplace of ideas.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

John 15:13 says that there is no greater love than to lay down your own life for the life of a friend. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we gave you an opportunity to hear a powerful story of one man who lived this very verse when he rescued a friend and interpreter from the coming of the Taliban in Afghanistan when the U.S. pulled its forces out in 2021. He explained how that singular act turned into mission to rescue hundreds of others from the terrorists. We shared with you the firsthand account of man who found himself in the national spotlight and the subject of much ridicule because he refused to bake a cake for a same sex couple. His account of the ups and downs of this journey leading all the way to the highest court in the land is an example to us all of what it means to live out your faith boldly despite criticism and mockery in the marketplace of ideas. Unexpectedly in the last few years we have seen a greater acceptance of Socialism and its ideas across our nation and along with that acceptance has come a rewriting of history that says that Jesus was in favor of socialist ideas such as redistribution of wealth and welfare states. Our guest addressed this fallacy and how it is being used to lure young people into rejection of our capitalist society in favor of one that adheres to socialist ideas without exposing them to the dangerous negatives inherent in this philosophy. No marriage is without challenges, including Christian ones. But how those challenges are handled can be drastically different for believing couples. Our guest used her marriage to teach us 7 essential beliefs that can help a marriage thrive and survive while building a stronger love with its foundation buried deep in willingness to let God heal the marriage. God’s prophetic clock continues to tick, but on this side of eternity there are so many questions about end times events that it is important to have clear, biblical facts to ground our understanding of what is to come. On In The Market with Janet Parshall we sort fact from supposition as our guest tackled some of the most challenging questions related to what is yet to come. How do we add spiritual heft to our walk with the Lord and so that we can stand firm against the attacks of the enemy? We turned to our beloved friend who normally joins us to answer your spiritual warfare questions, to learn more about why it is important be doctrinally sound in our faith. He addressed the confusion that often shipwrecks believers and took us once again to God’s word to ground us firmly in His truth. The ideology of transgenderism has grown in acceptance at a rapid rate across the country. But our guests explained that what is being touted as evidence-based truth is in fact an ideology with psychological underpinnings that give it an air of credibility. That in turn is leading to struggles for individuals and families by creating gender confusion and in many cases severing family bonds. One of our guests, who himself lived for a time as a woman, used his story to explain how there is a way back from this confusion and how it is found in understanding God’s design for all of us. It is impossible to escape the reach of artificial intelligence or, as it is more commonly known, AI. But as believers we are challenged with bigger questions than the average person. Is this something that should be included in our ministry efforts and if so, how? Our guest who has served the Lord for decades as a software engineer, joined us to put AI into perspective helping us to understand its impact for good and bad to the Church as we move forward with this new technology. Don’t be fooled, the fight for the lives of the pre-born doesn’t stop just because the political climate in Washington D.C. changes. On In The Market with Janet Parshall, a regular guest on the program addressed the ongoing battle against the abortion pill that has gone from being an outlier to one of the most widely used means of taking the life of the unborn. He warned us of the inherent danger of this option and why it may be time for this drug to have more government regulation over its distribution and use. Then we took a hard look at the recent massive power outages in Spain and Portugal where millions were without power after a celebration just weeks before in Spain where they touted 100 percent energy from renewable sources. Our climate expert addressed whether this is a neon warning sign to the United States about our own futures if we turn to complete dependance on alternative energy sources and whether or not this is the first major sign of what he calls “the green breakdown”. Is it possible that the anxiety and depression that many believers struggle with is less physical and more spiritually rooted in how our personal relationship with God operates? Our guest explained what an “insecure attachment to God” looks like and how it can have a dramatic impact on our mental wellbeing. She also explained how repairing that connection opens the door for God to share His healing story through our lives as a platform to lift up and encourage others who struggle with their own attachment relationship with Him. We boarded another radio flight to the land down under for more enlightening conversations with our favorite Scottish apologist. He addressed the effort to redefine womanhood in Scotland and whether or not believers should support corporations that support abortion among other thought-provoking topics. We gave you the opportunity to hear from a respected attorney who detailed a recent religious liberty victory out the Chicago Public School system and what the larger scale ramifications of this win means for religious liberty across the country going forward. We also spoke to that man who has turned statistics into powerful tools for ministry as he laid out the findings of this year’s American Worldview Inventory and explained why we are seeing significant faith shifts across the nation. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had a visit with one of our favorite apologists who shared the transformative story of a woman who went from devoted , then disillusioned follower of Islam to an atheist before she found the source of real life in Jesus. A Christian marriage is still a marriage. It comes with the same challenges any other union of two unique personality types comes with. The difference is how we address those challenges and who we go to for guidance. Our guests, a respected husband and wife radio & podcast team, pulled back the curtain on their marriage story to teach us to how God can bring transformation and healing through a wife’s words to her husband and how her words can inspire him to lift her and the marriage up even higher as a priority in his life. They also took us back to the scripture to clear up the misunderstanding of what it means for a wife to be a “helper” to her husband by showing that it is a more powerful, influential and essential role than any of us have ever considered before. Can a woman be a narcissist? That’s just one of many intriguing questions we tackled as our expert on this dangerous and debilitating personality type joined us once again to share her insights and answer your questions on narcissism and the long-term damage it can do to our most intimate relationships. As long as humans are involved, government will never be able to once and for all bring an end to the common ills of mankind such as poverty, hunger, war, disease, etc. But God promises that one day the living embodiment of righteousness will sit on the throne of David and rule over mankind with love and justice for 1000 years. What will it really be like to live during the millennial reign of Christ upon the earth? Our guest opened God’s word to give a glimpse of the glory that is to come. The tensions between the United States and Iran continue to grow. But in the midst of those tensions God is still at work. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we heard from one of His faithful servants to the Iranian people to better understand the impact of these international tensions on the every day people in the street and share more amazing stories of His transforming power to save souls and change lives. If you want to understand why God hates lies, just take a look at the father of lies, Satan. His deceptions have been the downfall of mankind since human history began. Our guest, a respected pastor and teacher, took us back before time began to explain exactly who Satan is and why deceiving ways so easily trip us up time and time again. He explained how Satan twists the circumstances of our daily lives to deceive us and five unshakable truths about God’s love that we can stand on to see through Satan’s tricks and schemes. When a storm hits our lives, do we just let the crashing waves sink us to the bottom or is there a way to make it safely through to the other side? Using an actual event from the life of Paul, our guest a beloved bible teacher and author, showed us what depending on God during those stormy times really looks like and that the Jesus who spoke peace to the storm is the same Jesus who can guide us safely through the choppy waters of our lives, if we let Him. This nation may not be in the news every single day but make no mistake about it, its leader remains unrelenting in his drive to bring the whole word under his communist rule. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the story of a man who since the day of his salvation has been passionate about sharing the hope of the Gospel with any and everyone he can. He explained his passion for evangelism, developing a heart for the lost and why prayer and dependance upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit is crucial to opening the door to share God’s message of eternal hope. Over the last few years traditional family values and the quality of our military have been sorely under attack. And even though we are beginning to see some significant changes they are not coming without challenge. Janet’s daughter who is on the front lines of these important issues explained what the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on transgenders in the military will be for our forces going forward and whether or not the U.S. Department of Education will really close as the President has promised. Our guest turned the lives of 5 ordinary people who walked faithfully with God throughout the ups and downs of their lives, as a teaching template to help us understand what it means live out the Christian faith even when the road before you is uncertain, the journey seems too hard or God’s hand is not immediately evident. Using stories from the lives of these five people, including a civil rights pioneer, a respected theologian and a beloved children’s television personality, our guest teaches us what daily dependance and obedience really look like in the life of the believer. Despite all the negative press, attacks from inside and outside its borders and vitriolic rhetoric and hate around the world, the nation of Israel and its people have an eternal destiny determined by God that nothing and no one can change. We turned to a respected teacher of Jewish history for a better understanding of why this land and her people are so important to God’s prophetic design and why the Church must continue to stand against the ongoing hatred of His chosen people. It’s time once again to put the news of the week on trial and measure it against the unvarnished truth of God’s word.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The face of the American military is undergoing a much need transformation. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a woman who has been tracking the downward slide of the U.S. military on all fronts for several years. She joined us to share how the removal of DEI and creating a higher standard for so-called “tip of the spear” units is creating a healthy, more robust armed forces. Many of the people who toil in the Lord’s fields go unnoticed by the majority of us and are glad to do so. We had the privilege to hear the story of one such woman whose work in bible translation has transformed the work of missions around the world. Her diligent labor has opened doors for hundreds of people to hear the Word of God in their native tongue. We spent some quality time with our favorite missionary to the entertainment world as she shared how her ministry would be celebrating the National Day of Prayer and how high-quality bible-based films and television series are finding new and enthusiastic audiences. The discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls continues to impact our understanding of ancient times. We shared the amazing story of the “lost cave” and what was discovered in it and importance of these documents to our knowledge about biblical history. For many of us the most challenging relationship with have is not with the people we meet but the food that we eat. A highly respected family therapist and friend to this program joined us to put a biblical perspective to our relationship with food, dieting and whether or not we should use today’s most popular weight loss drugs. One of our favorite bible teachers rolled up his sleeves once again and tackled some of your most challenging questions about the bible and the Christian life. As we wind down another week, we turn our focus to the never-ending cycle of news in the marketplace of ideas and encourage you to join us as we dissect it under the disinfecting sunlight of God’s unchanging truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Artificial Intelligence, more commonly known as AI, is here to stay. But how we allow it to impact our lives, especially our spiritual lives, is an important conversation that needs to be had. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke with a broadcaster who asked some tough questions to an AI program related to these matters and you had the opportunity to hear it speak for itself. Then our guest drew us back to God’s truth so that we could examine and make clear, bible-based judgements on what it said and how its assertions stand up to biblical truth. We are not the first to say it but it bears repeating, teaching is one of the hardest, most important jobs there is today. But with so many controversial ideas infiltrating the classroom today, what recourse is available for parents who are looking for solid, reliable, old-fashioned quality school and education for their kids? We spoke to a father daughter team who told us about the one option that parents in several states are taking advantage of and how it is instilling quality values and educational excellence in the children who attend. They also addressed how best to build a solid educational foundation for children, how to get educational and life truths to go deeper into their hearts and minds and why it is necessary to continually encourage our teachers who are on the front lines preparing the kids who will run our future. Ask any couple in their golden years and they will tell you that marriage is a fluid experience. Who we were at the alter by the very nature of combining two lives together over a period of time, will change. And so too will the challenges that couples face but our guest offered some practical guidance for those in what he calls a “seasoned marriage” on how to anticipate and navigate those challenges while leaning hard on the Lord and each other every step of the way. Class is back in session! Join us and our favorite husband and wife teaching team continue to teach us how to measure all the noise, rhetoric and supposed truths that are readily accepted in our world today against the unvarnished, unwavering, unapologetic truth of God’s divine word.
