The banner for social justice on many different issues continues to wave in our society. But how do believers stand up for truth without compromising their faith? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we gained insight into how to navigate these challenges from a woman who walked through this journey herself. She used her experience to teach us the difference between social justice and biblical justice, what modernism is and she stressed how important a grounded biblical worldview is to navigating the challenges of standing up for truth in the modern world. Once again we helped you update your prayer list for the greatest group of influencers in all our lives, the entertainment industry by sharing some exciting news including two Hollywood heavy hitters who have joined forces to create their own studio that will make films that honor those who serve and sacrifice in the military for our national safety and the latest on the WONDER projects. Then we turned to the onslaught of cold and snow that most of the country has or is continuing to endure and whether or not as some are claiming it is the result of manmade climate change. Our expert not only dispelled that idea but he also told us about how the sales of EV cars has significantly dropped and what le the U.S. to pull out of several climate change agreements with the United Nations. A husband-and-wife team who have many trials of suffering in their life and marriage joined us for a powerful conversation to help us understand the value in our times of suffering, how times of suffering help God’s people to better understand His nature and how to walk through challenging times in a way that honors Him most. We turned our attention to the invisible realm to learn more about spiritual warfare. Our guest used Paul’s framework to help us better understand the natural and supernatural parts of God’s creation. It is time to focus on discernment as we use God’s word as the bright light of truth and measure more of the confusing and misleading news of this week against it.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we dig deep into future things and focused on the controversy surrounding the Rapture. We tackled some of the biggest questions about this end time event including the differences between the different views on when the rapture will occur and the importance and purpose of end times prophecy. What if you could change your life through the practice of “self-brain surgery”? We are not talking about taking medical instruments and cutting into our own heads but a scientifically and biblically supported idea that we can heal depression, anxiety and other issues by reordering out thinking. We spoke to an accomplished neurosurgeon who shared his powerful personal story of discovering this practice, how to distinguish the difference between the brain and the mind and the 10 commandments of self-brain surgery that will lead to transformed life. How do loving Christian parents handle an invitation to the wedding of their child who is involved in a same-sex relationship? This issue has become a sticky wicket for many Christians who struggle with now to balance their faith against their love for their child or friend. We turned to a favorite friend of the program who not only has years of ministry experience dealing with the homosexual community, he himself also struggled in that lifestyle for many years. He gave us a clear, biblically grounded understanding of how to address these challenges, how our society has lost the purpose and definition of marriage as God intended and he challenged us on whether we are choosing to please God or man. How well do we really understand the powerful work of the Holy Spirit? Our guest helped us gain a bigger, deeper understanding of His work by looking at some of the most important references to His work in the New Testament. He showed us why believers are missing out on one most vital aspects of their faith-walk by not comprehending and walking daily in His power. Once again Janet and Craig are ready to help us improve our skills regarding discerning truth from confusion in the marketplace of ideas by using the scriptures as the ever trustful and always reliable straight stick of truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we peeled back the often “over our heads” language of theology to get down to the basics of how the simple, clear, classic gospel message is the key to changing the downward slide of society that we see happening all around us. Our guest reminded us that God’s message of hope is still as powerful and life transforming as it has ever been. The horrors of the Holocaust must never be forgotten and in the light of the rise of antisemitic hatred we are seeing in the world today, believers must now more than ever stand with God’s chosen people. Our guest shared how the horrors of the Holocaust impacted his own family, why we are seeing so much hatred toward Jews today and why antisemitism is one of the keys that lead to the return of the Messiah. We talked to one our favorite advocates for the unborn to get his take on last week’s March for Life in Washington D.C. and why he says this was a significant march. He also updated us on what’s going on with the Pregnant Students Rights Act. Then we turned our eyes to the Middle East and got an update from a man who has made his life’s service sharing the hope of gospel to the people in the Middle East. He talked to us about the current climate on Jewish hatred that we are seeing around the world and gave a warning directly from the Old Testament about what happened to people groups who cursed Israel. He also shared more stories of God drawing people to him in both Iran and Israel. What do you do when you have tried everything and your marriage is still on the rocks and sinking fast? Our guest combined his own marital experiences along with his professional training as a therapist to share what he calls “lightbulb moments” and how these special breakthroughs can be the key to the rescuing and restoring marriages. The year may be new, but the challenges remain the same. That is why more than ever we need to understand how to stand up for our families and our communities by standing firmly on the truth of God’s word. We started out the week with a powerful personal testimony of how God can rescue any life even one that is seemly deep in darkness and despair. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared one woman’s amazing story of finding her hope and faith in Jesus and how to navigate our way through the dark nights that face all of us at one time or another. Parents can not count on the schools as they did in past years. More than ever parents have to be watchful over what their kids are being exposed to in the halls of education as dangerous ideologies and those who support them are actively seeking to indoctrinate kids into followers. We had a very revealing conversation with Janet’s daughter who shared the results of a study of 700 school districts across the country, how school are getting money from outside the U.S. to push radical ideologies and why the president of the NEA is joining a “revolution group” and how that could impact what is taught in the classroom. Artificial Intelligence and its advocates continue commandeering more and more aspects of daily life. We turned to our expert on all things tech to put these changes in biblical perspective for us. He talked to us about the rise of A.I. psychosis, how the implementation of A.I. is damaging or destroying our institutional foundations and whether or not ministries should include the use of A.I. chatbots. Our guest sent out a warning call to Christian parents as he exposed how young believers are turning away from their faith as a result of what they are learning and who they are learning it from in college. He encouraged parents to start early building resilience in their kids to face both the subtle and direct challenges to their faith and how to come out this experience with their walk still intact. Janet and Craig once again invite you to join them for another important exploration of the headlines of the week as they expose them to the unflinching sunlight of God’s truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we took a look at the powerful, transformative document, the Declaration of Independence and how it brought about the end of the old-world system and cleared the way for this nation to grow and produce flawed people who accomplished amazing feats of freedom and liberty. How do we move past our traumas to find real healing and hope? Our guest helped us understand that how we react to those pains determines how long we will deal with them. There is no escaping the impact of the supernatural world on the natural world that we live in. That’s why we give you the opportunity to ask your most pressing spiritual warfare questions to one of our favorite pastor/ teachers who brings solid biblical truth to bear on this sometimes-confusing topic. In this era of self-discovery and the emphasis on personal growth, people are more focused than ever on figuring out discovering their gifts and what to do with them. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the insights of a man who learned that the way to discover your gifts and what to do with them is not by taking surveys but looking at your own life journey. In our times we look at the tragedy of abortion through the lens of Roe VS Wade and the ensuing tragedies that occurred after its passage. But the evil of abortion in this country goes back much further and our guest laid out the uncompromising truth about this national tragedy’s long history from 1652 until today. Once again we shared the observations and insights of a highly respected expert on national and international security matters as he helped us understand some of the big security concerns facing our nation right now including the why Greenland is important as a buffer against China’s military, what is going on in Iran and the story behind a U.S. sailor selling our intelligence to China. The freedom that we have been promised by technology has been touted by proponents for its increased encroachment on every part of our lives. But we spoke to a highly respected apologist who laid out for us the dangers of this sort of persuasive thinking and why believers need to anchor themselves in the timeless truths of scripture instead to the transitory ideas of our times. The fight for the unborn never stops and once again thousands braved the cold of Washington D.C. to stand against abortion. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we were given a sharp reminder of the thin veil between this life and the next as we heard about brutal stabbing deaths of a Hollywood actor/ director and his wife. We turned to our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry to put this tragedy into context and help you expand your prayer list as family, friends and the industry grapple with this devastating reminder that eternity is merely a breath away. Although it is not as loud as it has been in recent years, the clanging bells of climate change supporters continue to impact and influence policies that impact all of our lives. We turned to an expert in this field once again to get a clear, science based, biblically grounded understanding the issues including the frigid temperatures this December the concerns over who will pay for the new AI power plants and who will pay for them. We talked to a man who puts shoe leather to his fight against abortion who shared some of his experiences in front of clinics attempting to save the likes of preborn children. He also addressed a new report that looks at the link between mothers who have abortions and their later emotional distress. Then we turned to a man who continues to gather vital statics on faith in the United States to explain why there is a serious confusion among so many about eternity, salvation and repentance. Janet’s daughter joined us for another wide-ranging conversation on matters that involved the education of our kids. She told us about the troubles in the Seatle school system, an important victory against the force use of pronouns and an important women’s sports case that the courts will address in the new year. China continues its undeterred pursuit of oppression and control as it spreads its influence around the world. To understand just how dangerous this push for control and domination we once again enlisted the expertise of an expert on national security matters to address the pressure that led to the nation’s only democracy focused political party and why our leaders are not addressing the glaring vulnerabilities on our electrical system to Chinese attack. Talking to your kids about the issues that surround sexuality has always been a challenge but in our social media saturated culture our kids are exposed to so much more at a much earlier age and Christian parents can’t shy away from setting up a good, age-appropriate foundation for their kids. We turned to an expert who explained how to explain the proper age to start taking to your kids about sex, how to explain what sexual sin is and how to handle the anxiety and fear that comes with speaking to your kids about such a sensitive topic. This week we were all reminded of the evil of antisemitism as we saw the horrific video of the father and son shooters at the Bondi Beach Hanukkah celebrations in Australia. How should believers respond? Our guest a messianic Jewish believer addressed the complicated issue of antisemitism, exposing its demonic roots and presenting clear, biblically sound guidance on how God’s people should respond to His chosen ones. Join us as he teaches us how to cultivate a joyful sense of wonder. Learn how to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. Christmas, at its most basic, is about the gift of Christ to save us from our sins. It speaks of the humility of God. It speaks of the grace of God. It speaks of the peace of God. It speaks of the beauty of the Savior in His infant lowliness, reaching down to lift us to His divine loftiness. It means that anyone―anyone from any background, culture, or socio–economic bracket, anyone at all, no matter what they have done or said or thought―may rejoice this Christmas!Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The real St. Nick was not a jolly old man driving a sleigh of magic reindeer but a real man of deep faith. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week learned more about this very important man and his deep and sacrificial devotion to God and to others. We tend to think of economics in terms of financial figures, but our guest shared a power story of how the free market and what it provides became a life saving factor in her daughter’s life and a life changing factor in her own. We once again spent time with an expert in the area of technology to address the growing concerns over the increased use of artificial intelligence, better known as A.I.. He shared his insights into the concerns that parents should have about this ever-encroaching technology and how it has and will continue to impact the lives of their children. The story of God becoming man in the form of a babe in a manger is so much bigger than we tend to think. We spoke to a highly respected pastor who pulled back the veil of eternity to help us see the powerful lessons about God encased in His choice to become flesh and dwell among us. It is THAT time of year again. A time where, despite all good intentions, it is often impossible to avoid stress as we prepare and celebrate the Christmas season. To help you navigate these challenges we turned to one of our favorite experts on family issues to give us clear, biblically sound guidance on how to navigate the anxiety that can come from these pressure-filled times and find true joy in the midst of this Christmas holiday. The week is coming to an end and that means we are inviting you to join our favorite husband and wife team as they continue teaching us how to analyze what we hear in the news and measure it against God’s unblemished wisdom.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The idea of “gay celibacy” on its face sounds like a reasonable idea our guest exposed the deception of it. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a former gay man who is now on the front lines of this issue who explained the confusion that this idea is creating in the lives of people and why some Christian leaders are buying into this false narrative that discounts God’s clear guidance for feel good teaching that dismiss the truth. The transformation of lives in Iran is still going on and we shared more stories of God at work in that Middle Eastern nation. But these are still dangerous times in that part of the world and we spoke to a man who has served over there for many years as he shared stories of the persecution those who choose Jesus face and despite their persecution, there unwillingness to deny their faith. For many people Hanukkah is considered a “Jewish version of Christmas” because they don’t really understand the significance of the celebration. But just as Christmas focuses on the birth of Jesus, our guest a respected leader in Jews for Jesus, shared the true story of this celebration and how Jesus fits into it. Just as Jesus came once as a babe, He will return to earth but in a much different form with a much different purpose. We spoke to a highly respected pastor who says that believers should not fear His return but use its inevitability as motivation and drive to live out their faith with courage and boldness. From the challenges of A.I. to the dangers of social media, parents have to be vigilant watchmen on the wall for their families. And that requires a clear understanding of God’s guidance through His word. As we turn our hearts toward the Christmas season, we are reminded of the miraculous events of birth of Jesus. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we took a closer look at the topic of miracles. Our guest, a highly respected author and former atheist shared his research into the topic by clearing up the confusion over what is and is not a miracle and through some amazing examples demonstrating how belief in the God who still performs miracles substantiates the gospel message. The demonic lie of antisemitism is gaining ground across this nation and around the world. We turned once again to our expert on Israel to getter a better understand the biblical origins of this hateful belief system and why a belief in Dispensationalism in not heresy as some are trying to say. All roads do not lead to Heaven, despite what many would have you believe. A highly respected pastor cleared up the confusion that says that whether you believe in Jesus, Buddha or Muhammad you ultimately will end up in the same place. He turned to scripture to show the fallacy of this kind of thinking and why Christ is the one and only way of salvation. Are right and wrong simply a situational idea that ebbs and flows according to our feelings or the prevailing thoughts of the day? Or have we been given clear lines from a sovereign God to guide and direct us in this life? Our guest tackled this very challenging question with clear, biblical insight and understanding. He also explained how the powerful impact of chronic physical and emotional pain are rooted in the brain and what we need to do to reclaim a life that is pain free and vibrant once again. The stories have made their way from sub-Saharan Africa to the news feeds and broadcasts around the world. The violent killings of Christians continues unabated. We told you about an effort that you can be a part of which is providing much needed help to those who are suffering under this monstrous persecution. The mainstream acceptance of assisted suicide is leading to a dangerous trend in the U.K. as support for hospice care is being dropped in favor of euthanasia. We were visited once again by a friend to the program who is on the front lines of fighting the unique God-given dignity of humanity who explained how to transformation took place and commented on the once famous Germans twins who committed assisted suicide recently at the age of 89. Using his own life story as a foundation a chaplain & retired Brigadier General learned how despite disappointments and setbacks that can challenge us that we can always hold on to the truth that God is still for us. His story encouraged us to continue to press on in faith despite the circumstance and setbacks that we face. Parents today have to be on guard like never before to protect their children from predators and other dangers that are roaming around in the cyber world and the real world waiting to seduce them. David Limbaugh, best-selling author, will join us to dig into the New Testament epistles with passion and imagination, showing that the testimony of Jesus’ earliest followers provides irrefutable proof of His resurrection. Inspired by God and penned by the apostles, the epistles were written to the first Christians to proclaim the divinity of Christ and to encourage them to persevere through persecution, famine, sickness, and doubt. On a lawyerly quest for truth, David looks behind these biblical texts, exploring the lives of their authors, who included some of those closest to the Lord—His most intimate friends, Peter and John, and His own kinsmen James and Jude. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the powerful story of what it looks like when you follow God’s prompting wherever He may lead you. For our guest that prompting led to the creation of a human trafficking air rescue mission. He shared how God provided all that he needed even when he had no airplane, no plans and no experience. His story was a powerful reminder to us all of what utter dependance upon God REALLY looks like. As we approach the holiday season we can be forgiven for allowing ourselves to fall into a false sense of spiritual security. But once again, our guest reminded us that Satan and the demons do not take holidays or time off and that spiritual warfare is real business for them. We once again tackled you most challenging questions on this multi-faceted topic with a man who has been in the trenches of this battle and who brings solid, biblically sound advice and experience to guide us a deeper trust and dependance upon God to stand against the enemy. Antisemitism is an ancient evil that has once again taken center stage in the minds and hearts of so many people around the world. Dress in new motivations, it is still the same old lie that led to the Nazi holocaust and so many other tragedies across time. Our guest took us back in time to help us understand more of the roots of this evil and then he addressed how antisemitism is being used to deceive and motivate hatred in the unsuspecting through Islam and the liberal ideology of our day. We shared with you the literal life saving message of hope from a highly respected doctor who told us about a way to reverse the life altering impact of the abortion pill process after it has been started. Are we seeing a rise of the most dangerous personality type among the Gen Z generation? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we started off the week with our expert on narcissism addressing this very issue along with more of your questions. Once again using both her professional training and her personal experiences, continued to show us to how to biblically address the many challenges that come with having a narcissist in your life and family. A joyful biking adventure around the world turned into a horrible tragedy of violence and death at the hands of ISIS terrorists. We were once again joined by a prolific author who tackled their amazingly tragic story. His meticulous research and gifted ability to tell a story takes us right into their experiences, the transformative encounters along the way and how and why one member’s hopeful but naïve view of the world became a doorway to their demise. The idea of “spiritual stupidity” may seem at first blush offensive but as our guest, a highly respected evangelist and author pointed out, the bible is filled with stories of people who were spiritually stupid who did not take the warnings from God seriously and lived to regret that choice sometimes with eternal consequences. Through the stories of Adam & Eve, their sons, King Saul and others our guest reminded us that God is both a merciful and a serious God and that His warning are real and not to be ignored. The incarnation of Christ, God becoming man and dwelling among us has been a rock of offense for many people throughout history. Many Jewish scholars has stumbled over it and tripping has created a wide chasm between Christians and Jews who share the same Messiah. But we were reminded that the incarnation is grounded in the Hebrew scriptures as prophecy and promise in the Old Testament and our guest used history, science to once again compelling show that the impossible did happen and that the acceptance or rejection of this amazing truth has wide ranging and eternal consequences for us all. From antisemitism to A.I. From Gaza tensions to government shutdowns. There has been no lack of news fighting for our attention this week. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the constant onslaught. And that is why we invite you once again to join us for more lessons on the practical, real-time applications of God’s unbending truth as the measuring rod against the crooked, confused and sometimes completely deceptive goods that inform and influence the world around us through the news and social media that we consume daily. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we took a look at what experts are describing as a rapid cultural shift in America’s thinking about sin. Our guest shared the results of a comprehensive study that shows people today have grown lax on what is and is not considered sinful in today’s world, Our guest took us back to scripture to remind us that the only way to combat this modern thinking is by staying grounded in God’s unchanging truth. Then we turned our eyes to the life and death situations facing believers in places like Nigeria, Malaysia, China and India as the persecuted church around the globe continues to boldly proclaim God’s truth despite the dangers they are facing. Israel continues to be a topic of conversation, controversy and scrutiny today. We turned to our highly respected expert on the nation, its history and its prophetic future to discuss the latest controversy surrounding how the Jewish people are being viewed through the media, what is behind the increase of antisemitism in America and around the world and what believers can do to stand up and with God’s chosen people. Can we really trust what the bible says about the resurrection of Jesus Christ? For believers the answer is a foregone conclusion but for skeptics that may be a much harder pill to swallow. That’s why we spent time with an accomplished attorney who turned his truth-finding training toward the examination of the lives of the men who knew Jesus and how their testimony and lives provide clear, undeniable proof of his resurrection and divinity. How do you lovingly engage people who angrily claim that abortion is just a medical procedure, without consequence and that it is the mother’s choice because it is her body? Our guest gave us practical insight and guidance on the complex issues surrounding abortion and how to address with truth and love to the hearts and minds of those who have been deceived by these prevalent lies. Our need to observe and understand the times we are living in through the clear and focused lens of scripture continues to grow. That is why Janet and Craig continue to extend their open invitation to join them for a practical, biblical and enlightening discussion of some of the biggest headlines of the week as measured against God’s straight stick of truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In a world devastated by the cataclysm of war, two extraordinary authors and friends, J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, delivered a bracing vision of the human story: a path back to goodness, beauty, and faith. How did they do it? For the first time, historian Joseph Loconte explains how the catastrophe of World War II transformed the lives and literary imagination of Tolkien and Lewis. The mechanized slaughter of the First World War had created a storm of disillusionment with the political and religious ideals of Western civilization. The new ideologies of Modernism, communism, Nazism, and totalitarianism rushed to fill the vacuum. At stake was a contest between civilization and barbarism. Tolkien and Lewis sought each other out in friendship and threw themselves into the struggle.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
