In this upside-down world, when the have and have-nots are at war; when the privileged and underprivileged contend for resources, man fails to look at what's truly important: eternity. In America, the fight for equal rights, better treatment under the law, social justice, and income inequality permeate our dialogues. Now more than ever, people are vying for power and influence. Yet too few in this country actually consider the greatest power of all, known to millions of believers worldwide as the kingdom of God.In America, you will find the gospel message of Jesus Christ on every corner. But in other parts of the world, the kingdom message is like a river in the desert. Too few have the privilege to access this grace because those possessing this abundance refuse to fulfill the Great Commission by giving it away.In Gospel Privilege, author David Joannes testifies, “Gospel privilege is the soul-saving, culture-shaping, world-changing message that's come into the world through the Person of Jesus. It is an unearned spiritual advantage with eternal consequences meant for every human being.” Gospel Privilege provides the keys you need to unlock your full potential as an effective witness of this kingdom power. This resource will inspire change in you as you read testimony after testimony of people who use their gospel privilege to bring the kingdom message worldwide. How will you use your privilege in this hour?Learn more about David Joannes at https://davidjoannes.com/books/gospel-privilege/ABOUT GLENN BLEAKNEYThe Glenn Bleakney Show is a variety show consisting of teaching, discourses, and interviews on all things Kingdom. We are so excited to have David Joannes on the show today! David is the founder and CEO of Within Reach Global! Their four central focuses are compassion ministries, evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, with the goal of raising indigenous leaders to reach their own people. Each year, NorthStar Academy hosts a fundraiser called The Blessing Project to support a designated organization or cause, and this year, we are partnering with Within Reach Global to reach the unreached. This year's theme is “REACH” and our scripture is Romans 10:14-15. Our goal is to raise $6,000 by January 12th. Would you help us? Simply click here to donate and be sure to share with your friends and family! We are so excited to serve in this way and can't wait to see how God works through our giving.
Are you mobilizing someone who is going through a difficult time? If so, does that mean we should push the pause button on mobilization? Perhaps you're going through a season of suffering yourself. Listen in today as Dave Jacob talks with David Joannes about his latest book, See the City: Hope for the Bruised, Battered, and Broken-Hearted. You'll hear the story of White Flower, a ten-year-old refugee girl in Myanmar and learn ways to help mobilize others during difficult times. This episode will inspire and equip you to press on in mobilization. The following questions were asked during the interview: 1. What was your inspiration behind See the City? 2. White Flower, the little refugee girl in Myanmar, plays an important role in the book. Can you tell me more about her? 3. Your book touches on the theme of "Suffering, Sorrow, and Grief." Can you share what inspired you to delve into such profound topics? 4. What message do you have for mobilizers who are going through a difficult time themselves or attempting to mobilize those who are going through seasons of suffering? 5. You discuss the misnomers people often have when they think about Heaven. Why should Christians think more about Heaven and how does this impact mobilizing more missionaries? 6. You've created a coloring book companion that goes along with your book. Tell us about that and it's purpose.
David returns to the podcast to have an inspiring and challenging conversation about the pain and suffering that exists in our world and reminds and encourages us to keep our eyes on the eternal hope we have in Jesus and the city of our God. In this special edition of The Kingdom Community Show, we air a recent broadcast of Mission's Pulse with our good friend David Joannes who sits down with Lazarus Yeghnazar, the founder of Transform Iran, a faith-based humanitarian outreach “to the desperate” in Iran. He is a former top translator for Iran's war ministry and budget minister who emigrated to England 36 years ago following the Iran-Iraq war.Learn more about David Joannes and subscribe to the Mission's Pulse podcast when you visit https://davidjoannes.com About Lazarus YeghnazarRecently featured on CBN, Yeghnazar shared more about his heart for the nation and how many people in Iran have encountered Jesus through dreams and visions—something that is fairly foreign to Western cultures. See the CBN interview here https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/cwn/2023...Lazarus Yeghnazar was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1949 to an Armenian Christian family. At the age of six, he saw a vision of Jesus and committed his life to His service. At 21, Lazarus was ordained as an elder at the Central Jamaate Rabani Church in Tehran and appointed as a member of the General Leadership of these churches across Iran.At 23, despite the fact that he taught himself English, Lazarus became the head of the translation department of the Ministry of War in Iran and the official translator for the Vice Minister of War in Iran.He was imprisoned twice before he was 25 for preaching the Gospel in different cities in Iran (during the time of the Shah). After the Islamic Revolution, when the hostages were captured at the American Embassy, he was the only one called upon to conduct Christmas and Easter services for the hostages. He had an official audience with the King and Queen of Iran at the age of 27. Years later, by special invitation, he met and prayed with the crowned prince Reza Pahlavi (then in exile).Lazarus also established Pars Link, one of the front-running electronics engineering firms in Iran, and became a successful international businessman. At 30, he founded and led the first Tehran chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International. In 1988, after the end of the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq, Lazarus and Maggie felt God's leading to leave Iran and settle in Europe. In 1991 they established 222 Ministries in obedience to the call of God. In 2022 ‘222 Ministries' became ‘Transform Iran' to better communicate the expanded vision they had received from the Lord.Lazarus has a strategic pioneering spirit. He sees what is happening and what needs to be done and has the courage and voice to lead where others may hesitate to go.Find out more about Transform Iran here https://transformiran.com/our-story/

In many countries today, “privilege” has become a loaded term. But in the midst of a dying world, those saved by the Gospel truly are privileged. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform our lives, communities and eternal futures. But Gospel Privilege also requires us to walk a road of sacrifice, suffering and faith. What does that look like for you? David Joannes, a missionary in Southeast Asia, joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to unpack this concept of Gospel Privilege. David has served for over 20 years in southeast Asia and is passionate to see unreached people groups gain access to the Gospel. David borrows from his experiences - such as smuggling Bibles in China, being interrogated, or serving in conflict zones - to help us understand how we can live joyful, faithful lives despite challenges. He threads history, theology and missions together to help us better understand our task. This context and insight will help you rise to your calling to live Gospel-privileged lives.
