For this weeks short, we taste and review a product that is brand new for 2025. Bomberger's PFG (Precision Fine Grain) Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a meticulously crafted spirit. It starts off as aged Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey and after it's matured, it's transferred to a second new, custom, proprietary toasted and charred French fine grain oak barrel of the most exacting specifications. After more maturation, these barrels undergo filtration and the final product is bottled at 100.2 proof (50.1% ABV). So, how does it taste? Can a 100 proof whiskey standout amongst all of the high proof offerings as of late. You'll have to listen to find out. We are again joined by a special guest host for this short and you can expect our signature honesty and humor. We want to thank our listener Brian C. for sharing this sample with us! --------------------------SocialsIG: https://www.instagram.com/themashupkyFB: https://www.facebook.com/themashupkyYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@themashupkyPartnership(s)Visit Bourbonoutfitter.com and enter code THEMASHUP for a special discount or visit bourbonoutfitter.com/THEMASHUPVisit https://woodworkcollective.shop and enter code MASHUP for a 15% discount on your orderMusic: All the Fixings by Zachariah HickmanThank you so much for listening!

Ryan Bomberger has a challenge to the ladies of "The View"- have him on the show to debate all things related to abortion. He knows it's a long shot that they'll extend an invitation but it's worth a try. For that matter Bomberger also has a challenge to Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, Senator Raphael Warnock, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake and even Melania Trump. All of whom he says have position on abortion that rankle him. Bomberger is the co-founder, along with his wife Bethany, of The Radiance Foundation, a faith-based pro-life advocacy non-profit. Its mission is to "illuminate" that every human being, no matter how they are conceived, has inherent and God-given, equal worth. Bomberger boldly tells anyone and everyone, "I was conceived in rape, but adopted in love." He's one of 10 children of different races, adopted by the Bomberger family. He's just written an op-ed to answer the question, "What About Rape?" When abortion is debated, cases of rape and incest are often used to justify the cessation of a life in the womb. On this episode of Lighthouse Faith podcast, Bomberger answers that question and more. For him, abortion is personal. He says, "Imagine for a moment, watching repeated news stories where people say that a person like you shouldn't exist. Imagine hearing, over and over again, that you should be dead. Imagine someone telling you on TV or in real life, that you should've been aborted." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Michter's Legacy Series celebrates the foundational roots and heritage of the brand through two different whiskeys. Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey honors John Shenk who founded what would become the Michter's brand all the way back in 1753. This years release of Shenk's is a predominately rye whiskey that is finished in naturally dried french oak barrels for 24 months. Bomberger's Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey honors the time period when the Michter's distillery was known as Bombergers. This years release is a bourbon with a malted rye component that was aged for three years in air dried chinquapin oak barrels. That's a lot of unique finishing for these two whiskeys. But how do they taste? Join us this week as we talk about barrel picks, fast food, and of course these two bottles. Hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording. If you aren't hip to the Michter's-made Bombergers 108 proof vintage release you need to get up to speed. It doesn't have the Michter's name, so I think it gets overlooked, but it's a true sleeper hit. They age the distillate in Chinquapin oak that has been air-dried for at least 3 years which means the whiskey takes on a very mellow flavor reminiscent of whiskey from the 50s and 60s.

In our culture, the use of preferred pronouns has become ubiquitous among Gen Zers and beyond. As a parent, you may have noticed this trend and wondered how to approach the subject with your children, especially your younger ones. It's crucial to start having conversations about pronouns and gender identity very young as many schools have embraced an agenda to "break the binary" in kindergarten. Ryan and Bethany Bomberger, co-founders of the Radiance Foundation, recognize the importance of addressing this issue and have created valuable resources to help parents navigate these conversations. In this episode, the Bombergers share their insights on the topic and discuss their groundbreaking books, She is She and He is He, which aim to reinforce simple, biological truths about gender. Ryan and Bethany emphasize the significance of bridging the gap between personal worldviews and addressing difficult topics with confidence. Episode highlights: The importance of addressing the issue early. The "Breaking the Binary" initiative in kindergarten. The importance of reinforcing simple biological truths with young children. The rise of the “T” in gender ideology creating a contradiction in the LGBTQ+ community. The dangers of hormone blockers and cross-sex hormones on young individuals. The deceptive nature of the transgender ideology and its impact on society. The role of Planned Parenthood in promoting gender confusion. How parental rights are under assault. Long-term studies on the effects of sex reassignment. Finding freedom in embracing one's biological gender. The power of love, truth, and faith in guiding children towards their authentic selves . As parents, it is our responsibility to engage in honest, open conversations with our children about the complex issues they face in today's world, including the topic of pronouns and gender identity. By equipping ourselves with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate these conversations, we can help our children understand the importance of embracing their biological sex and the freedom that comes with living authentically as the individuals God created them to be. Happy 4th everybody! On this edition of Proof Positive, the guys are reviewing Michter's 10 Rye. Cheers! (Per breakingbourbon.com)-The Michter's brand has a storied history. Though not always called Michter's (it also has gone by the names Bomberger's, and Pennco at different times), the brand was created in 1753 in Pennsylvania, was the top-selling whiskey in the 1970s and 1980s, went bankrupt in 1989, and then was revived in the 1990s. In 2019, the company opened their own distilling facilities in the historic 1890 Fort Nelson building in downtown Louisville after an 8 year, $8 million renovation of the decrepit building.Michter's 10 Year Straight Rye was briefly taken off the market from 2010-2013, but returned in April 2014.

Today, we're joined by Ryan and Bethany Bomberger, co-founders of the Radiance Foundation, to discuss their incredible stories and how they fight for the value and purpose of every life through their organization. Ryan shares his story of being conceived through rape yet given the chance to live. We discuss having sympathy for women who are walking through difficult pregnancy situations and understanding why some women might think abortion is a way out, though ultimately there needs to be a focus on the big picture rather than fear. Then, Ryan shares about getting sued by the NAACP for calling the organization out on its support for abortion. We talk about why Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, the most systemically racist industry, seems to get a pass from the Left. We also talk about how gender ideology is a money-making industry and why it's so important to shape our kids' worldviews when they are young.
