It is another CROSSOVER special in today's episode of Ranked! If you don't already know the Disney Dummies went on a mission to watch every single Disney Animated Feature in chronological order, discuss them at length, argue about the merits of the movie, shared fun facts, talked about which characters had f*ck energy, and so much more. They eventually caught up and are still on the Disney Train, but needed a second challenge. That challenge was Pixar and so Disney Dummies x Pixar Pals was born and the cycle started again! Flash forward again to present day where they have ALSO caught up to Pixar as well and the time again is now to make a definitive list of which movies are the best! So join the Pixar Pals (Tuong La, Laura Gordon, Samantha Leggatt, and Brad Sales) as they get those snakes outta their boots and rank Top 5 Pixar Movies! The post 173 – Top 5 Pixar Movies appeared first on PodCavern.
On the 36th edition of Pop Goes the Classics, Mirandia Berthold, Steve Riddle, and Andy Atherton brave the jungles of Peru to discuss the 40th Disney Animated Feature, the Emperor's New Groove. Join the trio as they discuss the troubled production of the film, the perfect casting of the characters, whether we should sympathize with Kuzco despite his actions, Pacha being the most trusting person in history, the effectiveness of Yzma as a villain, Kronk being the lovable dimwit henchman, the quick pacing of the film, if Kuzco was worthy of a redemption story, and if the film deserves its status as an underrated cult classic. So join Mirandia, Steve, and Andy as they try not to pull the wrong lever and continue their trek through the Disney Animated Canon.

Welcome back to Act One, Take Five! This week, we have a little bonus episode for you all. Since it's December and the holidays are here, our schedules weren't aligning to where we could record together for the next month, but we still wanted to have content for you all! So, we are doing a couple of solo bonus episodes in the middle of our two pre-recorded episodes (Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick). This week was Zoya's turn to do an episode. In today's episode, I will be ranking all 61 (ish) Disney animated feature films. I've linked the template I created in this description, and I will post my final ranking on our instagram (give us a follow there to see!). The stories never end here at Act One, Take Five. The next episode to be released will be on the 1986 classic, Top Gun, so be sure to watch in order to avoid spoilers! Dont' forget to subscribe, leave a rating or review, and follow us on Instagram, where we share thoughts on shows/movies/books that we're checking out in our free time, as well as episode and podcast updates. It's a fun time! If you'd like to share your thoughts with us, please reach out via Instagram or email, we'd love to chat! With that, see you next time on Act One, Take Five! This month in the EVIL QUEENZ Disney Villains series, guest host Victoria Rae Sook and I profile the original evil queen, The Evil Queen, from 1937's SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. We also discuss our favorite band, reasons I'll never watch the Dreamwork's TROLLS movies (the animated musicals, not the horror movies--long live TROLLS 2!) and our hopes for the upcoming SNOW WHITE live-action remake. So take a bite of our poisoned apple and let's go Rick or Treating!THE POD:INSTA: @RickOrTreatPodRICKY:INSTA: @rickrtreatLETTERBOXD: @RickOrTreatVICTORIA:INSTA: @victoriaraesookTWITTER: @victoriaraesook
This week's movie is a classic, but in a different way - it's a classic awesome villain! Let's talk Sleeping Beauty and deal with the problematic storytelling, the princess who does literally NOTHING, and also how similar this film is to Snow White. We'll also talk about an awesome prince who does things, a great design, and a film that's unique in almost every way as a Disney Animated Feature. It's Sleeping Beauty! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

A rousing discussion of our favorite Disney animated feature films. Co hosted by myself Larry Lloyd and RJ Carnesi, we enjoyed having guest hosts Delainey Ashrbook and Madison Ashbrook participate in this episode. RJ was for many years an employee at the Disneyland Park and Madison is currently and employee of the Walt Disney Company so we felt like we had some insiders on this episode. After a short discussion about the atmospheric conditions in the studio, we got to our lists. If you want to jump ahead, we discussed our number 5's at the 3:25 mark, number 4's at the 7:30 mark, number 3's at 11:20, number 2's at 16:50 and got to the number 1's at 23:25. We struggled a bit during this recording too: Delainey struggled to tell us a fun fact about Lion King (9:30 mark); Larry struggled to remember Keanu Reeves's character in Toy Story 4 (Duke Kaboom, at 18:05), and RJ kept repeating that statement "I never saw that" throughout.

Starting with 1997’s “Overcast,” the hip hop group’s first official album, and traveling through 18 years of new albums, side projects, and various collaborations, all the way up to 2014’s “Southsiders” album, Atmosphere’s music has evolved in a way that differs from many of their peers and predecessors. Instead of following trends or struggling to fit in—by either over-extending in an effort to stay cool to the younger generation or succumbing to pressure to maintain the same sound from album to album—Atmosphere’s discography has evolves naturally, in their own way. As Atmosphere steps into their 21st year of making music, Slug & Ant show no signs of slowing, compromising, or losing sight of their vision. Their latest album, “Fishing Blues,” is a collection of songs that both define and redefine the Atmosphere sound. Their passion and creative spark are as illuminate as ever.
