On Monday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey spoke to chairperson of the Clare Association, Dublin Tom Conway. The Clare Association, Dublin, aims to promote the social, cultural and economic interests of County Clare. Like many organisations their activities were seriously curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Association is now back meeting and Tom has all the details on the Clare Association's upcoming events and revival.

In this weeks episode, I got to chat with a talk radio legend from Dublin, Ireland, and an idol of mine growing up, the one and only Adrian Kennedy. Adrian talked openly and honestly about life, how he got the late-night FM104 Phoneshow job?, the highs and lows of 17 years presenting the FM104 Phoneshow. Then, moving on to host Dublin Talks, a morning radio show on 98FM for over seven years, the effects of losing his job and coming out the other side with a podcast with Jeremy Dixon. I also asked him for advice for anyone looking to get into radio?. Cash incentives and remote working hubs are part of a new plan to get people to relocate from cities to rural areas. The Government is to launch it's 'Our Rural Future' five year plan this afternoon. State-funded relocation grants and tax incentives for remote working are to be introduced by the Government to lure workers from cites to rural towns and villages. Mass Condemnation For Traveller Funeral In Leitrim With 300 Attendees Many of you listening have been unable to attend the funeral of a loved one or family member in the last year, due to the restrictions on numbers allowed attend funeral services. So how did you feel when you saw the photos online of a huge traveller funeral that was allowed take place yesterday? Up to 300 mourners attended the funeral of a Traveller in the hometown of HSE chief Paul Reid on Thursday ignoring the Level 5 lockdown restrictions. Dozens of British and Northern-registered cars even traveled to Leitrim and a Marquee was erected for mourners. Jeremy Discovers The Meaning Of A Grushie Today On Dublin Talks Today we experienced some low scores on the say what you see quiz. Two contestants got zero! ''Kids Absolutely Don't Belong At Funerals'' A recent attitudes survey in the UK, found that 48% of people believe that it's inappropriate for a child under the age of 12 to attend a funeral. It's too upsetting, they cannot handle the grief. Many say there is no need for them to be there. It's probably no surprise that we received this facebook mail yesterday afternoon from Joan. She attended the funeral of a close friend last weekend and was shocked to see 2 grandchildren attending both under the age of 10. Dublin Talks Hears Listener's Responses To Anti-Lockdown Protest It's been the big talking point this weekend. The scenes which took place in the city centre on Saturday afternoon. Particularly on Grafton street and outside the GPO. Some very ugly scenes, we didn't focus on the violence that took place. Dublin Talks Listener Has Rescheduled Wedding 3 Times As the government announced late last night that there will be a continuation of the level 5 lockdown till the end of April. We received a call from Sam who says that she has had to reschedule her wedding three times. Many of the callers after her, offered advice. Gambling is a massive issue in Ireland This morning on Dublin Talks we spoke to Labour Party senator Mark Wall who's calling for stricter legislation around gambling advertising. It's a huge issue in Ireland, with us having the 7th highest gambling spend in the world in 2019. We asked what you thought and a number of listeners reached out to share their experiences with addiction. One woman shared how she lost a family member because of debt associated with this and she believes the ads are lethal. We also heard from another man who said people will gamble either way. This is a pet owners worst nightmare A woman from Tallaght reached out to us here on Dublin Talks about a tragic incident involving her dog. Nicole's dog Pippin escaped from the house and was knocked down by a car which then fled the scene. Nicole and her family are absolutely heartbroken and said they just wish the person had stopped and told them. "It was 8 years of my life, how could you just leave it there on the road"  This has happened to a number of our listeners. One man said he just wanted the person to have the decency to respect their dog who was like a family member. Should hairdressers operating under Level 5 restrictions be reported? Something we all gave out about last March and April was our 'Lockdown Hair' and how we couldn’t wait to get back to hairdressers and barbers. Now here’s something for you, do you hear that complaint this time around? Has everyone gotten used to their outgrown hair or is there something a bit more sneaky going on? According to this message we got from one of our listeners there is. "Adrian, I don’t know what to do. I’ve been so worried about my mother, who’s in her 70s, all through this pandemic. I can’t bare the thought of anything happening to her. So that’s why yesterday I was absolutely disgusted when she told me about a phone call she got. Her hairdresser rang her saying she could come to her house and do her hair this weekend. Now she said she'll wear full PPE and is only doing 5 appointments over the weekend, but I still don’t think it’s right. I can’t believe this hairdresser would put people at risk like this just to make a few bob. I know everyone is struggling but we need to just abide by the rules and get this over with. I feel like people like this are the reason this whole situation has been prolonged and I’m in two minds of whether to report her or not. This story was heartbreaking to listen to On today's Dublin Talks we spoke about the Kerry teenager who got off with no convictions after messaging racist abuse to Ian Wright. We spoke to Amanullah De Sondy, senior lecturer in Contemporary Islam Studies at University College Cork who highlighted the issues with racism in Ireland. When will we be able to go on a holiday again? It's the question we all want the answer to. When is it safe to book a holiday again? Current COVID-19 restrictions advise against all non-essential travel outside of Ireland, but the arrival of vaccines could mean that we could be jetting off abroad sooner than we think. I’ve been a veggie since I was 20. Do we need stricter COVID-19 restrictions? Over the weekend people flocked to the Dublin Mountains for walks and to play in the snow, with many breaking COVID-19 restrictions and being landed fines. This morning on Dublin Talks we asked you, do you think there needs to be tighter restrictions in place? Or do people just need to work harder to keep the case numbers down? We heard from a number of listeners who are sick of seeing people breaking restrictions. One man told us how he saw his colleague, who he knew tested positive for the virus, in the supermarket the next day! How does school closures affect children with special needs? Yesterday the Government overturned their decision to send Leaving Cert and Special Needs students back to school next week. Although most Leaving Cert students are happy with this news, it's not the same situation for parents who have children with additional needs. Today on Dublin Talks we spoke to a number of parents who are worried about their kids missing school time. Some are even losing sleep over it. They say the structure and routine of school is vital for their children's well being. We spoke to a mother who has 6 children with special needs who says it has impacted their progress hugely. Most also argued that with these classes being much smaller than a normal class, it's much safer for children to attend.
