It's time to trust in yourself and share your brand story to build your future. Knowing the personality archetypes of video will help you have more confidence to use video to tell your brand story! How to trust yourself to use video to tell your brand story When it comes to video, self-doubt often prevents us from creating videos to tell our stories. However, it's important to become obsessed with the bigger picture, your big goals, your dreams, and your mission, to allow yourself to start creating videos. Despite the uncomfortable feeling of putting yourself out there, trust that no matter where you are, there will be people you resonate with. It is more than your appearance, it's how to connect with people and tell your story. You may think that your story doesn't matter, but every single step of your journey has led you to where you are today. Someone needs your gifts and expertise. Putting yourself out in video will help people trust you, it's like a magnet to attract the people who need you to help them. The 4 personality archetypes of video magnetism to refer to so powerfully use video to tell your brand story The archetypes help you assess where your true skills are, and where you can lead from with your strengths. Identifying the archetypes will help you discover which types of videos are best for your personality and your business model. Keep in mind that if a video feels hard, it isn't your style. As humans, we are all 4 archetypes. But one may resonate more than others. The Lover This archetype is all about creativity, self-expression, and desire. All actions are in alignment with self-worth, natural ability to convey personality, coaches helping creatives, dancers, artists, musicians, and those who are all about self-expression and creativity. The uniqueness of the lover archetype is your natural ability to convey your magnetism in your element. You don't need to plan out a well-thought-out video. As a lover archetype that won't feel natural. What works best is when you feel like it, pick up the phone and go live or record. It's the messy vulnerable shares that are most aligned with how you like to show up. This is the quality that shows your heart as you are and people will connect with you. Often label themselves as rambling, unscripted, unplanned, and messy all over the place and shouldn't be like that. But when you are in the flow of being you, people will connect with you. The Sovereign This archetype has a clear vision of what is going to happen. They have a clear plan and make decisions with ease and certainty. The sovereign archetypes are natural teachers and guides. Great at teaching and need structure. Structure lets them lean back on what they are guiding people through. Webinars can be really aligned with the Sovereign type, videos that are teaching and guiding. People who need clear direction will be attracted to them. Need bullet points. The Magician Responsible for bringing ideas and raw materials into the world and turning them into something beautiful, and beautifully orchestrated events. They can take the chaos of ideas and turn them into events, online events. An example is a food blogger. They do not care what other people think, they know the value they bring to the world. Their seemingly magical way of creating things that blow people away is what attracts people to them. Showing the step by step of how they create their magic, is what attracts their clients to the. Styles of video that work well are behind-the-scenes, time-lapse videos, and times when you can allow your audience a glimpse into your process. The Warrior Takes a stand for what they believe in and value and creates solutions to make the world a better place. They are natural ralliers and get people excited about joining their mission or message. Warrior archetypes have an innate ability to convey and communicate and leverage their community and network in monetizing way. People trust them because they are so forthright in what they stand for and believe in. Beautiful video styles are interviews, and asking questions. Share behind the scenes, which builds trust. Which platform is best when you want to use video to tell your brand story? Is it archetype-specific? Choose your platform based on where your ideal audience is. When you establish where your ideal audience is, focus your efforts there. Choose one platform and master it and engage your audience there. You'll know when it's time to expand to other platforms. It is important to know which platform you'll be able to make the most impact on, but it is actually the video itself that is most important. Once you create a video, you can repurpose it to reach more people. Pre-recorded videos versus live videos Emma likes live videos because of the connection opportunities. Every single social media platform has a goal of keeping its audience on its platform as long as possible. This is why when you are just starting out with creating video, it is good to publish pre-recorded videos because social media platforms see this as legacy content. You'll still get traction and visibility as time goes by. However, live videos are viewed as engagement opportunities by social media platforms. If you are going to go live, be sure that you tell your audience. If you are consecutively going live, without engagement, you are telling the algorithm that your content isn't any good. A lack of engagement can suppress your organic reach. Listen to episode 51 with Patricia Kelikani on using video to have a bigger impact. If you've ever wanted to incorporate video into your business, but were afraid to take the plunge, then you're going to love this episode. This week, Emmy Wu joins me to talk about how to fuse storytelling and video together in order to elevate your brand and make a bigger impact. She is a video storytelling strategist and producer who helps visionaries reach a bigger audience, do more of the work they love, and have a proven plan that flows towards focused sustainable, burnout-free growth.
So everyone is telling you that video is where it's at today, when it comes to building your brand.Use video for all your content!Use video in your emails!Use video on your website! But is anyone telling us what we should be doing, or more importantly, what we should be saying, in all these videos?Enter stage left, EMMY WU, a former behind-the-camera guru for the likes of Paramount and Disney, who joined me for episode 62 of Marketing and Sales, Over Cocktails, and breaks down for all of us, the how and what and why behind all the videos you make, to take your brand to the next level. After spending two decades for those big names, Paramount and Disney, Emmy has always been a storyteller. She spent most of her career coordinating things behind the camera and served as a medium between cast and crew. Eventually, she realized that her talents were better served in front of the camera, and she started her own business helping clients discover their own unique way of promoting their business and brand through video. Her company has two branches: one is an agency side that produces branded content and serves as a media outlet, and the other is teaching business owners how to grow with storytelling through video. A huge part of her work is helping her clients get over their fears of being on camera, and that taking small steps with the bigger vision in mind will lead you to success.Another unique aspect of her distillation of a client's goals, is understanding that each person has their own unique way of expressing themselves. Through her customized distillation process, she discovers a client's personalized storytelling archetype. From there, she helps them put together a plan that they feel good about and makes them want to show up more. Her clients are able to then tell their story in a beautiful, artful way that's also clear and effective in terms of a sales strategy. So pop in your ear buds and get ready for a truly unique and wonderful listen as Emmy will take you by the hand and help you understand that being in front, and behind, the camera, is where you need to be to grow your business. What's Inside:● How you can use video to show up authentically and promote your business.● The four archetypes of story and how they impact the way you present yourself on video.● Why doing deep work to get to your core message is important before creating content. ● What kind of stories you should be telling to promote your brand.Mentioned in this Episode:MarketingandSalespodcast.comEmmy Wu on InstagramEmmy Wu on LinkedInEmmywu.com

She is led by intuition and driven by data, She helps artists and coaches attract more customers and clients and sell more of their programs, using the power of video and storytelling. With almost two decades of experience in the film industry, She has helped clients like Subaru, MGM, and Paramount Pictures bring their vision to life on the big screen but found her passion in helping positive change-makers increase their impact with the power of storytelling. In This Episode: There are four main video archetypes that help us wrap our brain around where we can really start to showcase our natural personality and to use the types of videos that are supportive of our business model. When you lean into your strengths and use the types of videos that best fit your personality, that is when you can really shine. How do we uncover which archetype to work with? Generally, we will have a natural residence with one or two of them so go with that. And so much more!
We Cover: * Working through the barriers to get people on camera * Your opportunity to sit with yourself and why you need to seize it * Which of the thoughts we have are actually true? And much more Emmy is a storyteller & strategist who helps visionary entrepreneurs launch their online programs with engagement-driven campaigns to captivate a new cold audience FAST. With almost 2 decades of experience in the film industry working with brands like Subaru, Real Housewives, MGM and Paramount Pictures, she brings Hollywood storytelling to create client results like $24k weekends and over $100k in recurring income in less than one year, and a $800k launch with 40X ROI. At the heart of her work is the love for storytelling: to uncover what makes your brand remarkable and turn it into your secret weapon that builds your LEGACY. Podcast Episode 012 The Tears & Tulle Movement Season 1, Week 21, Participant Emmy Wu! In Emmy's words: Sighting a rainbow has long been believed to be a positive sign of things to come. Every time I see a rainbow, I remember that I'm not alone, and that something much bigger is at work around us… And recently, rainbows have been appearing in my life. I'm part of Gina Bell's Tears & Tulle Movement, where this rainbow skirt is traveling to 52 women who are showing up in the world and connecting with their unique color... And the skirt has arrived at my door. Unboxing this skirt felt surreal as I contemplated my assignment: use the skirt to express what it means to show up in our own brilliance despite darkness and set-backs. And to be honest, I found this extremely hard. We are living in unprecedented times when so many lives have been turned upside down. Even for those lucky enough to have not been directly impacted by the virus, there's a very real presence of grief and restlessness in our collective consciousness.
