Tomi continues our series on Exodus: The Lord of Victory.
I greet you in Jesus' precious name on Christmas Eve, Saturday morning the 24th of December 2022. This is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day. If we go straight to the word of God in Psalms:“The Lord is my strength and song,And He has become my salvation.”Psalm 118:14What a beautiful scripture! Then we go to Exodus:“The Lord is my strength and song,And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him;…”Exodus 15:2And then the last one, Isaiah 12:2:“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;...”Jesus came down from Heaven to Earth to save a hopeless wretch just like me. I looked up in the Oxford Dictionary to find out the literal meaning of salvation. It means: "The saving of a person from sin and it's consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Jesus.” - In a nutshell, that is what Christmas is all about. Luke 19:10 says:"for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” “Save from what?” I can hear somebody saying. Well, saved from fear, stress, depression, hopelessness, addictions, immorality, sickness and disease. You see, for me, Christmas Day was the 18th of February 1979. Why? Because that is the day that I asked the Lord Jesus Christ into my life. You see, I had worked myself to a standstill. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop working, I lost my joy and my purpose in life... Then I met that little babe who was born in a manger, in a little town in Bethlehem, and everything changed in my life. What about you today on Christmas Eve? Why don't you pray this beautiful prayer with me and begin a new life? What a time to do it! Let us pray together:Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I need help. Please forgive me for the wayward life I have been living, trying to do things on my own. oday, Christmas Eve, 24th December, 2022, I invite You into my life. To take over every aspect of what I am doing. I thank You Lord, that by faith, I am a new person, in Jesus' name, Amen.God bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.

Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Exodus | The LORD is my Banner | Ty Gaston by Providence Community Church
Everything we do at Living Wholehearted and Courageous Girls is through the lens of trauma-informed theology. God draws near to the brokenhearted and wants to help those who are victimized. In episode 94, Terra talked with Rosie Rivera about her abusive trauma and her relationships with a God she so dearly loves. Rosia is the author of God Is Your Defender: Learning to Stand After Life Has Knocked You Down (Thomas Nelson, June 8, 2021). Through her own journey of trauma, she holds tight to the truth found in Exodus: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises, businesswoman, television personality, and social media influencer (with over a million followers on Instagram alone), Rosie is one of the most influential and inspirational Latinas in the world. In her new book, God Is Your Defender, Rivera openly shares about the tragic loss of her sister, internationally acclaimed singer Jenni Rivera, in a plane crash in 2012. This thrust Rosie into the spotlight and immediately subjected her to false accusations and lawsuits from people who were trying to take advantage of her in her time of grief and her new position as executor over her sister's estate and CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises. Rosie also opens up about her experience of childhood sexual abuse, being bullied on national television, and even reaching (and recovering from) the brink of divorce. Despite deep hurts like these, she has refused to be beaten down or silenced by the Enemy. Why? Because she knows God is her defender. Follow on Instagram @rosieriveria or pick up her book, God is Your Defender, anywhere books are sold. **Warning, this episode is graphic and may trigger anyone with a past history of abuse. Take your time pausing and grounding yourself as you listen and better understand the needs of survivors and the impact of trauma.

The lord should be your shepherd and let him.lead you like a shepherd lead his sheep. Exodus The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

When Moses came down from the mountain to sanctify the people, we can assume he brought a message from God. Yet, as we read in Exodus 19, God's presence brought its own message as well—one of justice, holiness, and righteousness. Have you ever been confronted by the character of God? If so, what was your reaction? Listen as Pastor Andrea Jakobsons shares a message in our continuing series from the Biblical book of Exodus titled, "The Lord Comes Down."
Sunday, July 7, 2019 Sermon, Exodus "The Lord will fight for you" - Rev. Cliff Woodman
The 13 Attributes of Mercy are found after the incident of the Golden Calf, when God threatened to destroy the people of Israel rather than forgive them (Exod. 32:10). According to the Talmud, Moses felt that Israel's sin was so serious that there was no possibility of intercession on their behalf At this point, God appeared to Moses and taught him the 13 Attributes, saying: “Whenever Israel sins, let them recite this [the Thirteen Attributes] in its proper order and I will forgive them.” Thus this appeal to God's mercy reassures us that repentance is always possible and that God always awaits our return.” The 13 Attributes of Mercy are based on two verses in Exodus: “The Lord! The Lord! God, Compassionate and Gracious, Slow to anger and Abundant in Kindness and Truth, Preserver of kindness for thousands of generations, Forgiver of iniquity, willful sin, and error, and Who Cleanses (but does not cleanse completely, recalling the iniquity of parents upon children and grandchildren, to the third and fourth generations)” (34:6-7). The 13 Attributes of Mercy, according to the generally accepted opinions of Rabbenu Tam and Abudraham, are as follows: – The Lord! (Adonai)–God is merciful before a person sins! Even though aware that future evil lies dormant within him. – The Lord! (Adonai)–God is merciful after the sinner has gone astray. – God (El)–a name that denotes power as ruler over nature and humankind, indicating that God's mercy sometimes surpasses even the degree indicated by this name. – Compassionate (rahum)–God is filled with loving sympathy for human frailty does not put people into situations of extreme temptation, and eases the punishment of the guilty. – Gracious (v'hanun)–God shows mercy even to those who do not deserve it consoling the afflicted and raising up the oppressed. – Slow to anger (ereh apayim)–God gives the sinner ample time to reflect, improve, and repent. – Abundant in Kindness (v'rav hesed)–God is kind toward those who lack personal merits, providing more gifts and blessings than they deserve; if one's personal behavior is evenly balanced between virtue and sin, God tips the scales of justice toward the good. – Truth (v'emet)–God never reneges on His word to reward those who serve Him. – Preserver of kindness for thousands of generations (notzeir hesed la-alafim)–God remembers the deeds of the righteous for thebenefit of their less virtuous generations of offspring (thus we constantly invoke the merit of the Patriarchs). – Forgiver of iniquity (nosei avon)–God forgives intentional sin resulting from an evil disposition, as long as the sinner repents. – Forgiver of willful sin (pesha)–God allows even those who commit a sin with the malicious intent of rebelling against and angering Him the opportunity to repent. – Forgiver of error (v'hata'ah)–God forgives a sin committed out of carelessness, thoughtlessness, or apathy. – Who cleanses (v'nakeh)–God is merciful, gracious, and forgiving, wiping away the sins of those who truly repent; however, if one does not repent, God does not cleanse.

Who are “Internet Marketers”, and how do they get it wrong? There is a very distinct group of online entrepreneurs that are referred to as “Internet Marketers”, as opposed to the general online population of business people who do marketing. And within this distinct group, there are some common practices that will lead you to disaster… in this episode, I'll show you how to avoid that problem. Here's what else is up in this week's podcast episode: The app that made me a journal keeper… against my will. Is there a time to stop crying out to God? Stu McLaren is back with advice on living well. Plus, our feature presentation… 5 Traps “Internet Marketers” Fall Into. Special Announcements This weekend is the 3-Day Live Intensive, April 5-7 in Phoenix. Get your ticket right now – click here. Would you like to have me speak at your event or church? I am accepting a limited number of engagements for 2013. Click here to visit my speaking page and get details on my availability. Tip Of The Week If you've ever wanted to keep it journal, but just never been able to stick with it, you might want to try DayOne. Spiritual Foundations Is there ever a time to stop “crying out to God” and start taking some action? Consider this story from Exodus: The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.” Exodus 14:15-16 God gave Moses authority. That's what the staff in his hand represented. So when Moses had the people crying out to God, the Lord asked Moses why. And then God told him to have the people go forward, and exercise his authority. As partakers in the new covenant, we also have authority. It comes to us in the name of Jesus Christ. If you feel that you're caught between “the devil and the deep blue sea”, perhaps it's time to stop crying out to God, and start exercising your authority as a royal priest, and in the name of Jesus Christ. Lifestyle Business Segment Stu McLaren, superstar entrepreneur from WishList Products And RhinoSupport, brings us our Lifestyle Business Segment. This week, Stu tackles the subject of living well. Feature Segment: 5 Traps “Internet Marketers” Get Caught In When I use the term “Internet Marketers” in this particular episode, I'm referring to that curious group of folks who can be described like this: marketers who sell marketing stuff to marketers, who then sell marketing stuff to marketers, who sell… you get the idea. Now I am not saying that Internet Marketers are bad people, or that there is anything wrong with this particular niche. In fact, I believe quite the contrary. I do believe there are some common pitfalls that many people in this niche encounter. And today, I'm going to outline five traps Internet Marketers get caught in. I think you can en joy great success either as an Internet Marketer yourself, or by learning from Internet Marketing experts… if you avoid these five traps. The Internet Marketing MLM Trap. Please don't flame me, I'm not criticizing multilevel marketing companies that sell on the Internet. But within that industry (the MLM industry) there are many scams. Most of them are some version of “selling the dream to people who then sell the dream to other people”… And nobody is selling any actual product. The same happens in Internet marketing. The Copycat Trap. This is the bane of “how to” content creation. If all you are teaching is “how to” it quickly becomes indistinguishable from “me too”. The antidote is moving beyond mere knowledge, and producing Wisdom. The Hamster Wheel Trap. Instead of creating foundational products, and building a marketing system, entrepreneurs stuck in this trap are having to produce the “product of the week”. Always a new pitch. Always a new topic. Very tiring. The Hyperbolic Intensifier Trap. We get the word “height” from the word “hyperbole”. When you are creating commodity products and information, the only way to fight the competition war is by exaggerating the benefits of your own product. You have to intensify your hyperbole until eventually, you're just telling lies. The Spirit of Mammon Trap. Call it greed. Call it avarice. Jesus called it Mammon. This comes from a Greek word that seems to imply the personification of a spiritual force behind the worship of money. “Do not love the money and use people. Instead, use money to love people.”-Joseph Prince These traps can sneak up on you. Keep your eyes open, stay well away from these, and enjoy more success and fulfillment.
