This beautiful passage represents Moses' final message to the Israelites through a song that captures profound truths about God, human nature, and the call to faithfulness. We'll explore the depth of Moses' words and discuss how his insights into God's character and Israel's history offer us lessons on both devotion and accountability.Episode NotesSummary:In this episode, we examine Moses' song recorded in Deuteronomy 32, a poetic and theological reflection on God's faithfulness and Israel's unfaithfulness. Moses calls all creation to witness his words, reminding the Israelites of God's greatness, their history of deliverance, and God's righteous character. He contrasts God's unwavering justice and mercy with Israel's repeated failures, warning them of the consequences of turning away from God and embracing idols. Moses also highlights the blessings of obedience and the dangers of forgetting God, even amid prosperity. This song reminds us to reflect on our relationship with God, to remember His faithfulness, and to strive for steadfastness in our own faith journeys.Key Themes:God's Righteousness and Justice: God is described as a steadfast "Rock," unchanging and perfect, in contrast to the people's unfaithfulness.Israel's Spiritual Drift: Moses recounts how Israel has strayed from God despite His blessings, warning of the dangers of idolatry and self-reliance.Call to Repentance and Faithfulness: Moses' words urge Israel to remember their unique relationship with God, to learn from their history, and to live in alignment with His will.Promise of Restoration: Despite judgment, God promises ultimate justice, showing mercy to His people and inviting the nations to witness His redemption.Listen as we uncover these lessons in The Song of Moses, exploring how they resonate with us today and inspire us to seek a closer walk with God.Ask Me Anything | EP. 4 "Faith + Politics"The podcast where we answer IT ALL! After God glorifies Himself by victoriously defeating Egypt and saving Israel, Moses and Miriam lead the people in a song of praise in reaction to who God is and what He's done. In doing so, they explain why God is to be praised and how He is to be praised, giving a model for worship for all of God's people everywhere.

Today, we delve into Revelation 15:1-4, a passage where the apostle John beholds a profound and awe-inspiring sight in heaven: seven angels bearing the seven last plagues, the culmination of God's wrath. In this momentous vision, John also witnesses the triumphant saints who have conquered the beast, his image, and his mark. They stand on a sea of glass mingled with fire, singing the song of Moses and the Lamb. How does the "Song of Moses and the Lamb" connect the Old and New Testaments, and what might this reveal about the continuity of God's plan throughout biblical history? In the last of this 3 part series on the Song of Moses, Chad meditates on some of the dominant religious ideas of our day. Sometimes the Bible is inconveniently direct, and confrontational when it comes to our man made ideas. John Andrew Schreiner and Cathy Schreiner sing "I Have Been Crucified". Believers should revere, recount and remind.
According to Chad, we should take care to give thanks to God when things are going smoothly, lest we become proud, arrogant and rebellious. Chad gives example after example of biblical heroes who ended up in trouble because of pride and success. Chris Lizotte sings "Lord Have Mercy". Did you know that the crossing of the Hebrews at the Red Sea with Moses, which happened historically, is also a type of what will be fulfilled prophetically by the Jews and the Two Witnesses in the time of Jacob's trouble? It's true. All those events recorded back in Exodus point to a future time when God will once again keep His chosen people safe from the onslaught of Antichrist. Exciting stuff! On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are looking primarily at the Song of Moses first seen in the Old Testament at the Red Sea, and also seen in Revelation 15 when the Tribulation Saints get the victory over Antichrist during the time of Jacob's trouble. We see the first song recorded in the Bible with the Song of Moses, the first dancing recorded in the Bible with Miriam, and in doing so, understand a little about the nature of what ‘worship music' and ‘praise dancing' should look like. Moses prophesying to Pharaoh was a type of the Two Witnesses facing Antichrist in Revelation, and Moses is also one of the Two Witnesses. He is a type of himself, tell me that doesn't blow your mind. On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we journey back in time to the Red Sea, journey forward in time to the Second Advent, and in doing so unlock some mighty mysteries nestled inside your King James 1611 Authorized Version Holy Bible.
Moses' song of celebration illustrates that salvation is TO God's high place, homey place and holy place.

Rev. Tanner Fox | Revelation 15:1-8From the Seven Angels in 15, we get the victory song – The song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. The glory of God is sung about, in unison, by the angels who bring the good news of victory, which is also the devastating news of defeat. This is the victory and defeat that has been spoken of and prophesied for generations. We receive the song of Moses and the Lamb as a reminder of all that God has promised, and all that God will bring!

Description: Israel, God's chosen people, were given through Moses, a song, prophesying of the nation's failure through the ages to remain holy and faithful. But God, steadfast as a rock, is just and right, and would eventually humble his people, with the intention of establishing them in the position they should have attained from the beginning. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/christadelphians-talk/message
