Many believe She'ôl as the resting place in which the dead were kept until the mystery of God's Salvation was revealed, referencing Jesus the Christ. Apostle Paul explains in the Letter to the Ephesians of Jesus descending into the earth, so to bring captivity captive, as he ascended, inferring freeing those who were held captive by death.Formidably, Jesus came, died and rose again, defeating death, so men would be raised into eternal life. Effectually, salvation by faith in him and from God's final judgment in Hades, the Lake of Fire. John the Apostle, exclaims of seeing Jesus…“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.
