Hurricane Erin re-intensifies into a category 4 hurricane, more than 140 people were rescued at Hampton Beach last week due to rip currents, a big time construction project could be making its way to Dedham. Stay in "The Loop" with WBZ NewsRadio.

In the span of one week, Hampton Beach lifeguards rushed into the water to make 144 rescues, 53 in one day alone, because of sudden flash rip currents along the shoreline. WBZ NewsRadio's Kendall Buhl reports.

This year's Penguin Plunge at Hampton Beach is coming up in just a few days, and people are raising money to help SONH provide sports training and competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Mark Ericson, the Senior Manager of Multimedia for Special Olympics New Hampshire, returns to the show to share details about this year's event and the upcoming Winni Dip in Laconia.
