Maybe you find yourself chasing after a certain number, sometimes even obsessing over it, and in the process forgetting that God actually wants to walk with you in this journey. No failure is final when we fix our eyes on God's grace. In this week's message from our Life of Moses: Faith in the Unknown series, Pastor Paul walks us through Numbers 21:1-9 and John 3:12-17. The Israelites' struggle with old habits and fiery serpents points us to the greater truth that God's grace is stronger than our failures. Just as the people looked to the bronze serpent and lived, we are invited to look to Jesus—the One lifted up for our salvation. Join us as we explore what it means to overcome failure, live in God's love, and fix our eyes on Christ, the ultimate source of hope. We'd love to welcome you to worship with us and continue walking this journey of faith together. For more information, visit www.ONEFellowship.church For Charleston and beyond!

Why is God letting this happen to me? In times of suffering, it's natural for us to ask questions like that. In Hebrews 12, the writer doesn't give us every answer we're looking for, but he does encourage us to fix our eyes on Jesus, who not only helps us understand the purpose of our suffering, but who suffered himself and promises to be with us in our suffering.

Fix Your Eyes (Hebrews 12:1-2)Ella KassingPCPC High School 20 July 2025
Psalm 73Do you feel lost and forgotten when those against God seem to prosper? We grow weary and lose focus of God when evil seems to win. This Sunday we will see that fixing our eyes on God reveals a greater truth -- that God determines our fate. When the world fails we can place our trust in the One who never will.
Today, Sarah Small reflects on Hebrews 12:1-3 and how we need to fix our eyes on Jesus in all situations, and explores who Jesus is and what he promises for us.
Today, Tom Grant looks at Mark 9:2-10 and the transfiguration of Jesus, illustrating how God is always with us.
The race of faith is won not by looking back, but by fixing your eyes on Jesus and pressing forward with unwavering focus.
In a world that demands more, Jesus offers rest. Hebrews 3–4 invites us to stop striving and start trusting. Let's learn how to live from a place of peace by anchoring our attention on the One who never changes.
It is time this very minute to pray and seek God. Time to set our timers and pray for the minute. This podcast encourages us to stop for a minute and, now, in the presence of our Heavenly Father—with praise and prayer—worship Him in Jesus' name and in the power of the Holy Spirit. ———— *We do not own the rights to music played on this podcast.

Open. Your. Eyes. Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God... sound familiar at all? In today's episode, we're talking about something we all struggle with but don't always realize: when our hearts and perspectives quietly drift out of alignment. We unpack what Paul writes in 2 Timothy about the last days, when people will become lovers of pleasure, obsessed with themselves, and distracted by everything the world offers and how easy it is for us to slip into that same pattern without noticing.Fully surrendering to Jesus, that's where the real “success” is. That's where peace, purpose, and perspective are found. This episode is for anyone feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or just a little lost — it's a reminder that no amount of achievement, hustle, or chasing will ever satisfy the way surrender at Jesus' feet does. Maybe today is your day to pause, realign, and fix your eyes back on Him, even in a world that constantly pulls us away.Go to https://betterhelp.com/hopemoquin for 10% off your first month of therapy with BetterHelp and get matched with a therapist who will listen and help #sponsoredBook a call - https://stan.store/hopemoquinINSTAGRAM- www.instagram.com/hopemoquinTIKTOK - https://www.tiktok.com/@hopemoquin
Hebrews 12 talks about fixing our eyes on Jesus who is not just the author of our faith but the perfecter of it. In this season we have to stay fixed on Jesus. We have to see what God is doing and not allow our hearts to grow numb by the shaking happening around us. This is a season of reformation!
Matthew 28:18-2016 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mark 16:15-2015 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Luke 24:46-4946 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” John 20:21-2321 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” A Sermon Series "Fix Your Eyes Upon Jesus" 1. John 20:1-20 The Empty Tomb1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!” 3 So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.4 Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.5 He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus' head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)10 Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don't know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. 15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). 17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'” 18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.Jesus Appears to His Disciples19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Acts 17:30-31 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.” Fix Your Eyes Upon Jesus - The Resurrection of Christ 1. The Resurrection Is God's Vindication of Jesus 2. John 11:11 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it.”5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world's light.10 It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”12 His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.”13 Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.14 So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead,15 and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”16 Then Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”Jesus Comforts the Sisters of Lazarus17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.18 Now Bethany was less than two miles[b] from Jerusalem,19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother.20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”28 After she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. “The Teacher is here,” she said, “and is asking for you.”29 When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to him.30 Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met him.31 When the Jews who had been with Mary in the house, comforting her, noticed how quickly she got up and went out, they followed her, supposing she was going to the tomb to mourn there.32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked.“Come and see, Lord,” they replied.35 Jesus wept.36 Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”37 But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.39 “Take away the stone,” he said.“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” Focusing on the person of Jesus (Hebrews 12:1) Christ's Power in His Timing (Vv 1–7) Christ's Power in His Tears (Vv 28–37)Christ's Power in His Truth (Vv 21–27) Christ's Power in His Triumph (Vv. 38-44) Our Response
In a world full of distractions, it can be challenging to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. This week, we're focusing on reclaiming our attention—shifting our gaze from the noise around us to the presence of Christ. How can we, as women of faith, actively choose where to direct our focus and bring our hearts back to what truly matters? What are some of the biggest distractions in your life that pull your attention away from God? How do you recognize when your focus has shifted? How do you remind yourself to stay present with Jesus, especially when life feels busy or scattered? As we gather together, let's reflect on the ways we can reclaim our attention and focus our hearts on Christ. Let's share tips, wisdom, and encouragement for supporting each other in this pursuit, knowing that even small steps can bring us closer to Jesus.
Luke 4:14-2114 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.15 He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,to set the oppressed free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Introduction (Hebrews 12:1) The Anointed One: Prophet, Priest, and King (v.18) JESUS OUR PROPHET: The Voice of God "...to proclaim good news to the poor and... recovery of sight for the blind." Matthew 4Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'”7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.' 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him Introduction (Hebrews 12:1) Sovereignty & Temptation (v.1) Facts about Temptation (Vv. 2-3) The First Temptation: Intellect/Physical (Vv. 3-4) The Second Temptation: Will/Psychological (Vv. 5-7)The Third Temptation: Worship/Spiritual (Vv. 8-9) Our Response: How to Fight? 1. The Stories Collective is back! On March 9th, we celebrated three years of sharing powerful stories, and it's amazing to reflect on just how many lives and experiences that represents. God's faithfulness has been evident every step of the way. We hope you had a chance to catch up on any episodes you may have missed during our break because we're so excited to be back!Today, we have a special episode featuring Sarah Underwood, and we believe her story will truly warm your heart. When our host, Sarah Schalow, first sat down with her, she could hardly finish asking how God had been faithful in her life before Sarah enthusiastically began sharing the countless ways she's experienced His goodness. Sarah's journey with Christ began at just five years old, and her relationship with God has only grown deeper over the years. However, her life was forever changed at the age of 12 when her father was tragically struck by a car and killed while returning home from a men's prayer meeting at their church. With remarkable vulnerability, Sarah opens up about how her family navigated this devastating loss and how she learned to rely on her Heavenly Father in the absence of her earthly one. While anxiety has sometimes threatened to overwhelm her, Sarah's sincerity in casting her cares upon the Lord is inspiring. Her story is a beautiful reminder that God is always near when we come to Him. One of the most impactful themes she shares is the importance of keeping her eyes fixed on Jesus — a practice she intentionally pursues each day. Sarah also speaks candidly about her experiences with singleness and how she continues to trust God's plan for her life, even when it looks different from what she once imagined. Her steadfast faith and joyful perspective will uplift and encourage you. We're so glad to be back, and we know Sarah's testimony will bless you. Tune in and be reminded once again that even when life doesn't go as planned, God's plan is always good.Want to share your story on The Stories Collective podcast in 2025? Letting Go of Unrealistic Expectations and Trusting in God's Plan • Sunday Service To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org So much of our emotional turmoil comes from unfulfilled, unrealistic expectations. We set up visions of what life should be, only to be met with disappointment when reality doesn't match our desires. The world tells us to “manifest” our dreams and to “follow our hearts,” but as Christians, we must surrender our expectations and align ourselves with God's will. His plan is higher, His ways are greater, and when we trust Him, we find peace. Today, we will explore how unrealistic expectations can lead to frustration and how, instead, we should anchor our hope in God's plan. 1. Unrealistic Expectations Lead to Discontentment Proverbs 13:12 (NKJV) “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.” 2. Our Ways Are Not God's Ways Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” 3. Seeking First the Kingdom Changes Our Expectations Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” 4. Be Content in Every Season Philippians 4:11-12 (NKJV) “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” 5. Letting Go of Control Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” 6. God Works Everything for Good Romans 8:28 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” 7. Let God Be Your Satisfaction Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” 8. Surrender Brings Rest Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” 9. God's Plans Are Good Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” 10. Fix Your Eyes on Eternity 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Unrealistic expectations lead to frustration, but trust in God leads to peace. Instead of focusing on what we think should happen, we must align ourselves with His will. When we surrender our plans, let go of control, and trust that His ways are higher, we find true joy, contentment, and rest. Let today be the day you release your expectations and embrace God's perfect plan for your life. His promises never fail, and His ways are always good. CCLI: 21943673

"I have learned the importance of intentionally fixing our eyes on Christ regardless of what we may be tempted to view around us. When our gaze drifts from Him, our vision is blurry and distorted. Hello, spiritual astigmatism! We become troubled and transfixed on the things around us rather than on Him. As our focus wanes, so does our trust in the One who is the author and perfecter of our faith. Having sight but not being able to see Jesus and His work in our lives would be a tragedy more daunting than we can even imagine."Leave a comment for Quantrilla: https://incourage.me/?p=251091--For moments of bite-sized encouragement, the new DaySpring Daily Devotional Bible for Moms is just the ticket.
