Trump’s upset that the Lula administration is targeting his friend Jair Bolsonaro, dubbed the “Trump of the Tropics.” Or so he claims. There’s a lot more to this ridiculous and misguided trade war than hurt feelings and bad economics. It’s about Brazil’s leadership of the BRICS+ alliance that threatens to undermine Trump’s plan to personally become the central banker to the world. Denn auch an den zwei weiteren Festival-Tagen ging so einiges: Makko lässt die Scheine durchs Glashaus fliegen, Boondawg holt doch noch Souly raus und BHZ zeigen eindrucksvoll, wie man als Band mit einem großen Verlust auf der großen Bühne umgehen kann. Denn nicht zuletzt wegen den Schöneberger Rap-Superstars gab's an diesen splash!-Tagen die volle emotionale Palette. Ob eine gesunde Portion Wut bei OG LU, Superstar-Vibes bei Eli Preiss, großen Klamauk bei Ski Aguu & K.I.Z - und eben Kloß im Hals bis Tränen bei toll zelebrierten Dead Dawg-Parts und -Songs auf der Main Stage. Was in dieser Folge aber auch nicht zu kurz kommt, ist das Drumherum auf dem Festival: Eric berichtet von K.I.Z am Burrito-Stand, kleinen Unfällen mit sehr passiven Secus, sanitären Absurditäten - und am Ende lassen wir auch nochmal einen kleinen Rant über Bezahl-Politik, Cashless & Co. ab. You've probably heard the term “refeed day” thrown around. It may sound intriguing, especially if you're deep into a cut and feeling drained. But…what *actually* is a refeed day, and do you need one?I talked about it a bit in the last episode (go listen to ep. 198 first if you haven't yet), but I want to dive deeper in this episode!First off, a refeed day is NOT a cheat day, and it's definitely not a license to binge. When done right, it's a short and strategic break from your calorie deficit. When used intentionally, this can help with hormones, training performance, muscle recovery, and even consistency (yep - they can actually help you stick to your plan better)!Ultimately, I want YOU to be able to make an educated decision for yourself. I was recently asked the question “Should I refeed once a week if I'm in a calorie deficit?”I love this question (I always love when you send me your questions btw!), but honestly…it depends.Like most things in the health and fitness world, there's no “one-size-fits-all” answer.Before you start talking about refeed days, carb cycling, or any other advanced strategies, you've got to ask yourself an important question: “Am I even in a consistent deficit to begin with?”The reality is, most people aren't. Even if you're “eating clean,” hitting your macros Monday through Friday, but you're winging it on the weekends, you're not *truly* in a calorie deficit! If you're not tracking your intake honestly AND consistently, your coach (whether that's me or someone else) can't help you. Die Begründung: Man wolle sich auf die eigenen Kernkompetenzen konzentrieren, insbesondere auf Rechtsschutz-, Sport-, Sach-, Haftpflicht- und Unfallversicherungen. Das ist ein interdisziplinärer Forschungsprojekts, das zeigt, wie Sprache unser Denken, unsere Stadtplanung und letztlich unser (Nicht-)Handeln beeinflusst. Wer spricht – und warum das wichtig ist: Felix Schindler, ein Journalist aus der Schweiz, hat sich mal die Routinen der Medien vorgenommen. "Ich habe selbst jahrelang solche Kurzmeldungen redigiert – ohne zu hinterfragen, wie entmenschlichend die Formulierungen sind. Erst als Vater habe ich gespürt: Diese Sprache macht etwas mit unserer Wahrnehmung von Sicherheit." „Wenn ein LKW plötzlich 'übersieht', wird Verantwortung sprachlich ausradiert.“ „Solche Formulierungen wie 'wurde erfasst' klingen technisch, aber sie entlasten – und das unbewusst." Andrea J. Dech, Sprachwissenschaftlerin aus Wien, zeigt, wie Worte unser Weltbild prägen: "Wenn wir von "Unfällen" oder "übersehenen Personen" sprechen, machen wir Täter zu Opfern und die Opfer zu bloßen Randnotizen. Sprache reproduziert Gewalt, oft ungewollt." „Sprache ist kein neutrales Werkzeug – sie ist ein Verstärker von Machtverhältnissen.“ „Wer passiv formuliert, schützt Strukturen – nicht Menschen.“ „Wenn Medien von ‚Verkehrsteilnehmenden‘ sprechen, verwischt das, wer gefährdet – und wer gefährlich ist.“ Dirk Schneidemesser, Mobilitätsforscher vom RIFS Potsdam, bringt es auf den Punkt: "Ein Auto kann niemanden 'erfassen'. Das machen Menschen. Aber wenn wir solche Formulierungen ständig lesen, verschwinden Verantwortung und Strukturprobleme aus dem Fokus." „Verkehr ist kein Naturereignis – und Gewalt auf der Straße ist keine unvermeidbare Folge.“ „Der Sprachkompass zeigt: Wer klar benennt, kann auch klar verändern.“ „Sprache entscheidet mit, ob wir ein Opfer betrauern – oder Ursachen beseitigen.“ In dieser Folge lernst du Folgendes: Sprache ist nie neutral. Sie beeinflusst, wie wir Schuld, Verantwortung und Systemfehler einordnen. Oft stehen in Texten Opfer im Fokus, während die Täter verschleiert werden. Das liegt daran, dass die Polizei- und Medienlogik so funktioniert. Es werden vor allem passive Formulierungen verwendet: "Radfahrerin geriet unter LKW", "Kind wurde erfasst" – der Mensch hinter dem Lenkrad bleibt unsichtbar. Die Zahlen sprechen für sich: In 69 % der Texte, die untersucht wurden, wurden passive Formulierungen verwendet. In 95 % der Fälle fehlt jede statistische Kontextualisierung. Die Sprache ist fünfmal öfter entlastend für Autofahrer:innen als für Fußgänger:innen oder Radfahrer:innen. Es geht nicht darum, irgendjemandem die Schuld zu geben, sondern darum, die Dinge richtig zu beschreiben – also die Ursachen, die Beteiligten und den Kontext. Der Sprachkompass zeigt: Wenn sich die Sprache ändert, kann sich auch das System ändern. Warum du diese Folge hören solltest: Weil sie dir zeigt, wie Gewalt systematisch unsichtbar gemacht wird – und wie wir durch bewusste Sprache echte Veränderung anstoßen können. Denn: Was wir nicht benennen, das können wir nicht bekämpfen.

We’re only a day away from the New York City Democratic Primary for mayor and early voting turnout is the largest in years. No matter what happens, Zohran Kwame Mamdani has already won the race. Mamdani’s candidacy has galvanized the national media in a way that a local primary race has rarely ever done. Trump is touting his new “Trump Accounts” plan as part of the Big Beautiful Bill Act. The plan would provide $1,000 to every baby born in America between 2025 and 2029 in a tax deferred account that allows matching each year of up to $5,000. It’s a way to encourage savings at a young age and works similar to the successful 529 education funds, but there are key differences. Today we dissect the plan and reveal how it’s mostly political theater. It’s another giveaway to Wall Street that increases inequality because of the way it’s structured.
