There's so much to learn from Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman—and even the language He used reveals the difference between what the world offers and what Christ gives. The woman spoke of water like stagnant cistern water, but Jesus spoke of living water—a bubbling, ever-refreshing spring that becomes a continual source of life and purpose for every believer (John 7:37–39). In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef highlights how Jesus offers the only satisfaction that can reach the deepest thirst—fulfillment the world can't provide, no matter how many pursuits promise joy but leave the soul empty. Then he turns to Jesus' example of sharing the Good News with someone from a very different background: Christ lingered, asked questions, refused to condemn, refused to excuse sin, and offered hope as a gift of grace. The result was transformation—repentance, cleansing, and a new future. And the promise extends to you: when you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, rivers of living water flow from within you—an inexhaustible fountain meant to bless others as you share Christ with the spiritually parched around you. Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your offer of living water. Help me to remember that there are people all around me who are thirsty for that eternal life and love that only You can offer them. Give me courage and discernment to start those conversations that will lead people to You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life'” (John 4:13-14). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. To be a channel of God's Spirit bringing Heaven to earth, we must (1) COME to God and honour Him with praise, thanksgiving and worship (Matt 6:9), then (2) RECEIVE His Spirit and words into our heart by faith (John 7:37), then (3) RELEASE His Spirit from our heart into the earth by our WORDS of faith (Matthew 6:10, 12:34-35, John 7:38). After (1) coming to God, (2) we believe we receive the promised blessing into our heart, and then (3) we release it into the earth by confessing it with our mouth unto salvation - the manifestation of the promise (Romans 10:10). After (1) submitting to God and (2) receiving His words, (3) we can speak His words from a place of authority, causing His Kingdom to come into the earth, and forcing the enemy to flee from us (James 4:7), thus bringing His will to pass.

Sin made our spirit unclean, unable to have God's Spirit dwelling within. When we received Jesus, He applied (1) His BLOOD and (2) the OIL of His Spirit to our spirit to (1) cleanse us, and (2) make us holy - so we can be indwelt by God. This NEW BIRTH only became available through the New Covenant.

Temples have 3 parts (Holy of Holies, Holy Place, Outer Court), because they are all pictures of Man, God's ultimate Temple, consisting of 3 parts (spirit, soul, body). Christ came as the perfect Prototype Temple, filled with the Holy Spirit. Then through His death and resurrection He multiplied Himself in us.

James 5 gives ELIJAH as our example for how to PRAY for the RAIN of the SPIRIT, necessary to bring the SEED of the WORD in men's hearts to fruition, resulting in a harvest of precious fruit (souls). His prayer posture was as one in labour (1Kings 18:42), giving birth to the revelation in his womb (v41).

Intercession starts by coming into God's Presence, seeking His Face and dedicating ourselves to carry out His will in the earth. We receive His burden (will) into our heart (womb), and then pray it out & thru to victory. We get vital keys from Abraham, as he gives us the first example of intercession in the Bible.

God's life in our spirit must flow through our heart (Jn7:38). So our heart condition determines the flow of His life in us (Prov 4:23). 3 Blockages must be removed: (1) unbelief, (2) unforgiveness, and (3) CARNALITY (Heb 12:15-17) - being flesh-ruled, valuing & minding earthly things above spiritual things.
The heart should constantly RECEIVE and RELEASE (pump) the spirit-life of God from our spirit to every part of our life (John 7:38). We must keep our heart free from blockages to this flow of life (Prov 4:23). In this message, Derek explains how to remove the 2nd BLOCKAGE - UNFORGIVENESS.
The HEART is the deepest part of the soul, at the junction of soul and spirit (Hebr 4:12). It RECEIVES the life of the spirit and RELEASES it into our soul and body (Prov 4:23). So we must keep our heart free from things that block this flow of life. (1) We explain how to remove the blockage of UNBELIEF.
