It's the first three verses of Hebrews 11, which says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for, and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for." And it's this verse here, verse three, that rocks my world, every time I read it, "By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." And the way I read that in the past was always that, oh, God called into existence, stuff that did not exist. But it doesn't say that. It says, "what is seen was not made out of what was visible." So, He called into the visible what was not yet visible. So, there are things already existing in God's imagination that by faith get called into the visible. And with that I would just encourage people to as they pick up the Bible, as they pray, as they interact with the Holy Spirit to ask what's in God's imagination for any particular moment so that by faith we can call and cocreate with Him to bring that into the visible reality that everyone around us can experience.---Listen to Kevin Burgess, the Director of Global Communities and Labs for FaithTech being interviewed by veteran journalist Lorna Dueck. Nadia say's in her blog; "2020 was a breaking down, and a reevaluating, that forced most inward. It was the beginning of the TRUTH coming out, a momentum that will continue, as no lies or deception can stay hidden as the light on the planet grows. Survival fear, division and hate rose to the surface to be seen for most of the planet. As Jung said, you must bring the shadow to the light in order to heal it. 2020 was the collective shadow coming to the light. Themes of freedom, health, control, survival and fear were dominant. "2021 was about building a new foundation of how we live, relate to others and treat ourselves and our beautiful bodies. This past year was about releasing what no longer served us and learning who we really are and what we really want. More truths coming to the surface, more fear, but beginning a new relationship to it. Still divisiveness, and desire to control others, on all sides but learning that we only have power over ourselves and our own choices. Many will still be dealing with this dynamic in 2022."You do not want to miss this podcast! Dcn. Kevin Burgess, 22nd Sunday In Ordinary Time "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for the orphans and the widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world” (James 1:27). Our faith is about a relationship with God who loves us. Jesus does not intend to change any of God's commandments. Rather, he wants us to discover their deeper meaning for our lives and how they can help us live the abundant life he wants for us."
Kevin Burgess joins Paul Connolly and Dan Kendall for the second part of his extended interview. This time, he talks joining Darlington in the Northern Premier League and going on to captain the side to the title. Fr. Mike Leclerc and Kevin Burgess, 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time “There are three journeys or conversions that happen in someone’s life of discipleship with Jesus: the first conversion is to Jesus, the second is to His Church, and the third to His mission. When we take stock of where we are on that journey of conversion, we can discover the plan God has for our lives.”
Kevin Burgess, 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Being able to re-enter our church after all this time is hope in action. It’s a small victory. It’s a small step. But it’s a humble step forward. So whenever you are ready, we are excited to welcome you back!”

After a grueling 18 holes in the Georgia summer heat, Andy Goh, Kevin Burgess and Pat Bowles sat down with some of the players coming off the course. In this episode, you'll hear from Josh Anthon, Simon Lizotte (and his dad), and Augusta pro Josh Childs. We'll be on the ground at Fort Gordon where Saturday's final round will be held. We talk in the Lead Card about the Konopiste Open, and why so few big name players from the states made the trip. In the Par 4 segment, we discuss bag tags, the necessity of a side arm when competing at the highest level, and sticker etiquette on the golf course. In the Ring of Fire, we talk about how Matt went about finding the land for Torma Town, what some his challenges and successes were in constructing the course, what some of his goals are, and of course, how to play.
