In a world full of polished content, authenticity is what truly cuts through. That's the secret behind Armchair Expert, the wildly popular podcast from Dax Shepard that mixes candid conversation with crowd-sourced chaos. In this episode, we unpack the marketing insights behind it with special guest Derek Weeks, Chief Marketing Officer at Katalon.Together, we explore what B2B marketers can learn from building real connections, inviting community participation, and letting go of perfection to create content people genuinely trust and engage with.About our guest, Derek WeeksDerek Weeks is the Chief Marketing Officer at Katalon. He is a driven, results-oriented CMO with a proven ability to achieve multiple successful exits, build and execute bold go-to-market strategies for each stage of business growth, and demonstrate solid returns on marketing investments. Accomplished at building high-performing teams, driving quality marketing-sourced pipeline, developing massive communities, and collaborating with sales teams to meet business targets. What B2B Companies Can Learn From the Armchair Expert Podcast:Vulnerability builds trust and attention. Derek Weeks emphasizes that Armchair Expert's standout quality is its authentic vulnerability, which creates a powerful emotional connection with listeners. He explains, “It's really about being human… It builds an emotional connection with your brand.” Derek draws a parallel to B2B marketing, highlighting that it's crucial to showcase real people behind the brand to forge trust.Mix long-form and short-form content strategically. Armchair Expert masterfully balances 90-minute conversations with short, snackable segments like Armchair Anonymous. Derek believes this dual-format approach is essential for B2B marketing: “That kind of mix of long and short is something that you have to play into as a marketer and realize your audience expects different things at different times.” He stresses that marketers must go deep when it matters, but also repurpose content aggressively to cater to varied audience behaviors, especially across platforms like TikTok.Empower community-generated content. Derek praises Armchair Expert for its use of community-driven content through Armchair Anonymous, where listeners share personal stories weekly. He says, “They really don't have to spend time creating content at all… believe in your community and the value that they create.” B2B marketers should harness their user-generated content to scale content creation far beyond the limits of a marketing budget.Quotes“ You have to think about what draws people to the next. What did you do in that moment that got people to say, ‘This is worth following or paying attention to or coming back again?' Figure out what's going to make people come back, not what makes people appear the first time. The first time is kind of an easy win. The second time, or third time, or 10th time is the hard part.”Time Stamps[00:55] Meet Derek Weeks, CMO at Katalon[01:23] Why Armchair Expert?[03:01] Vulnerability and Trust in B2B[08:58] Don't Build Campaigns, Build Conversations[13:37] The Long-Form to Short-Form Pipeline[19:05] Unfair Mindshare[21:47] What Armchair Expert Gets Right[24:01] Practical Ways to Bring Personality into B2B[27:38] Final Thoughts & TakeawaysLinksConnect with Derek on LinkedInLearn more about KatalonAbout Remarkable!Remarkable! is created by the team at Caspian Studios, the premier B2B Podcast-as-a-Service company. Nine months into her role as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Temenos, Barb Morgan is focused on a simple principle when it comes to product strategy: quality over quantity. "We want to build less, but build it better," Morgan said during a conversation at the Temenos Regional Forum Americas 2025 held May 28-30 in Miami. Temenos' approach centers on co-creating meaningful solutions with bank customers rather than rushing to market with multiple products. Morgan emphasized that the company is "really focused on making sure that whatever we put out there is meaningful," as the industry navigates what she calls the "AI hype curve." Morgan's insights reveal why many banks struggle with AI adoption despite the technology's promise. The real barriers aren't about computing power or algorithms — they're messier problems involving decades-old data systems that were never designed for AI and organizational cultures that haven't caught up to the pace of technological change. Her conversation also detailed Temenos' bet on bringing innovation closer to customers, such as through its new hub in Orlando designed for co-creation, and why the company is taking a strategic and deeply integrated approach to AI that enables banks to deploy AI-powered solutions faster and safer.
Get ready to OWN the spotlight and be KNOWN for your gifts!!! Sam is joined by the incredible Elizabeth Ashley, and these two powerhouses are diving deep into what it really means to be a trailblazer stepping into a new paradigm of leadership, magnetism, and divinely guided creation. They kick off by sharing their own magnetic meeting story and explore the journey from feeling insecure in the spotlight to owning their presence as media personalities – a term that resonates far more than just "coach." If you've ever felt your current label is too small for your big vision, this is for you. This episode is a masterclass in co-creating with the divine (with a fascinating discussion on God as the eternal masculine and the feminine as the surrendered creatrix, as shared by Elizabeth), ditching the hustle mentality, and why chasing money will always lead you away from your true mission. Sam and Elizabeth Ashley get incredibly vulnerable about their own experiences with collapsing old business models, the power of receivership, learning discernment the hard way, and the radical shifts happening for visionaries in 2025. They also spill the tea on upcoming BIG projects, like Sam's "Frequency Fest" and Elizabeth Ashley's vision for a reality show around a church she's creating, proving that when your "why" is bigger than money, miracles happen. If you're ready to stop playing small, trust your divine guidance, and make FUN your most sustainable strategy, you NEED to hear this.

In this season finale, we do something a little different. Instead of featuring an outside guest, we bring you behind the scenes—with the voices and minds who help design and deliver the very work this podcast explores. Dr. Heidi Brooks is joined by her colleagues David Tate and Stacey Casamassima for a candid, deeply human conversation that essentially doubles as a real team meeting. This is the team that teaches and leads “Everyday Leadership” at Yale and facilitates high-touch programs like Interpersonal and Group Dynamics, Holding Space, and more. And this time, they're turning the mic inward. Together, they reflect on the life experiences that drew them to this work, the evolution of their own learning journeys, and the frameworks and practices they use to create conditions for meaningful growth—within themselves, their students and each other. They discuss what it means to “stay” in difficult moments, how trust and ambiguity support learning, and why the ability to be present—with curiosity and care—is at the heart of human development. If you've ever wondered how transformational learning environments are built, or who's behind the scenes making them possible, this conversation is for you. Listen in as we lift the veil, share the practice, and reflect on what it really takes to co-create the conditions for learning—with integrity, intention and hope. I'm happy to share her wisdom with you. Here's what you'll learn from our conversation: What does being in a co-creative partnership with nature mean, and how do we get into it?
