We have arrived at the finale of our ELEPHANT album analysis & review series...and so much more is left to cover. Part 2 left off with our track-by-track deep-dive, ending with middle-point powerhouse track Ball & Biscuit -- now it's time to bring it on home to the end. With favorite cuts like Little Acorns and Hardest Button to Button, the best is truly left to come as we journey to the conclusion of this mammoth LP. We'll also analyze chart performance, critical reaction, band reflection and our own personal reviews of the breakthrough album that put The White Stripes on the map. Last but not least, your humble co-hosts will spelunk through the new ELEPHANT XX twentieth anniversary vault release, having freshly arrived in our grubby little paws - featuring video archives, a mono mix of the album and a commemorative book that offers fresh, fascinating insights into this classic entry into the candy cane canon! It's true that we love Elephant! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Outside of Walnut Grove lives a man named Issac Singerman. He's a widower and now also an empty nester as his only son moves out to NYC for marriage. Why did the son have to leave for marriage? Because he was following Jewish tradition. Lonely, Issac meets Albert and invites him to be his apprentice at his woodwork shop but also to have some company. Albert starts to learning many lessons from knowing Issac Singerman. Some of those about how good a person can be and some on how bad a person can be. Enter Mr. Larabee, Walnut Grove's biogot in residence, who once again demonstrates his ability to hate on just about everything. His return also signifies the apples don't fall far from the tree when we're also introduced to Mr.Larabees offspring. However, there are more important lessons Albert learns from Issac Singerman with one of the hardest being having to say good-bye forever to someone you love. Why doesn't anyone say the name of Issac Singerman's son? Based on just their front porch, How finically set are the Larabees? Is anyone else a little relieved Carrie didn't have any lines in this episode? Podcasts aren't new, but it is new for HSD, and we are excited to kick this off, get it rolling, and give everyone a deeper look into our District! It's a perfect time to kick off a podcast because we have not one, but two new buildings being constructed within the District. Our inaugural episode discusses those projects and provides an overview of how we've gotten to this place. We have a lot of new residents in our community. Our population has grown 592% over the past 20 years, and so for those who haven't lived here all that long, to see these neighborhoods around them may not seem all that unusual, but to those who have lived here, they can remember when those neighborhoods had a field of corn in them, or a bunch of cows, so it's important to get some of our newer residents up-to-speed, with the really distinctive "history" of our past 20 years, because it is unique to our area, to our state, and maybe even to our country.

Derry City Centre isn't that big but there are parts of it Jeanie has never been to. The TDGs visit The Fountain which is right up next to THE WALLS and is historic for many reasons including being the last remaining Protestant housing estate in the City. Jeanie and Pauline meet up with Derry/Londonderry stalwart Jeanette Warke - who has been a youth and community worker there for almost 50 years. The TDGs also speculate why Derry Girls is filming in the seaside town of Portrush and at the institution that was Barry's amusement park, bringing back happy memories for one of the TDGs - who used to try and make 50p last a whole day there. All this and we expand your vocabulary as well! There's a also a bit of chat about chocolate and the TDG Hallowe'en ‘event' at Little Acorns Bookstore. We never know what tiny things can lead into giant opportunities in the future. A post on social media could lead to a new job. A blog post could lead to a new client. A new skill you pick up could mean your next project will be the biggest you've ever had. With all the uncertainty in the world today I think there is power in that. Keep after it … keep putting one foot in front of the other and we'll make it through.

In this week’s podcast we head to the cinemas to indulge Bridget Jones’s Baby. Then we drop in on the new Australian comedy web series, Little Acorns, set in a childcare facility. And finally, we revisit the homes of our past, while looking at the latest issue of the Stilts Journal.
Little Acorns is a nine part comedy for the web set in the fertile ground of a suburban child care centre. It is financed by Screen Australia as part of its multi platform scheme. Not only is it hilarious but it's a ground breaking investment in Australian talent. Releases September 1 on a computer screen near you.
The Chelsea FanCast goes retro tonight with Darren 'Dazza' Mantle & Pablo joining Stamford Chidge and Dan Silver. Finally Chelsea get a win at home and a clean sheet and we have now reached the lofty heights of 11th in the Premier League with 11 points. Keep this up and we should get the 38 points we need to avoid relegation! Joking aside, the win was great but in truth the performance was poor. But hopefully getting back to basics, re-learning how to defend, keeping clean sheets and digging out results will lead to the confidence flooding back and out of that better performances will grow. From little acorns… On the show tonight we’ll be discussing the great feeling to win again tinged with the disappointment at the poor performance and applauding Diego Costa’s part in it – a true leader. In part two we’ll be discussing the continuing good form of Willian and Azpi; the need for Ramires; Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s game of two halves and pondering the next Chelsea battle – this time Jose Vs Eden...
