So you have found the job of your dreams. You are one step closer, but now you need to wow your way into employment! As an undergrad and post grad student, Chelsea was very proactive in her approach to finding the perfect job for her. The combination of her personality and experience shone through across all interviews, dubbing her a VERY employable and favourable candidate. Here's just a few examples of what she did: - overseas volunteer experiences  - traveled to Bali and Costa Rica to work as a surf coach - physiotherapy receptionist paid work - paid work as soccer sports trainer - created and ran university organisation and events -  shadowed within clinics to gain more experience - competed sports trainer and pilates training - paid work as a pilates instructor within a Private Practice - maintained contact with clinicians and clinic owners who she had met along her pathway While it was over a decade ago, Amelia also had a similar experience through her university studies. This was ultimately what enabled her to also secure a private practice job in a clinic in which she STILL remains friends with her ex-colleagues. A few things Amelia did was: - hospitality work from 13 y/o through - volunteered and competed in surf lifesaving for many years - completed sports trainer and personal trainer qualifications - overseas placement opportunities - physiotherapy receptionist paid work - paid work as NEAFL sports trainer - created and ran university organisation and events - presented research findings at overseas conference - experienced 2 x spinal surgeries and the rehabilitation required for both - maintained contact with clinicians and clinic owners who she had met along her pathway In addition to this, you can also take on board some of the tips and tricks that both Amelia and Chelsea share in today's episode. Our aim is to inspire and educate you, early-career physiotherapists, to become the best practitioner we know you can be. To find out more about APEX PD, you can check out...Our Website: - www.apexpd.com.au Our Instagrams: - @apexpd- @acehealthcentre- @chels_aston- @ameliarose_sWe would also love it if you could join us on our private Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2313474085555580

Xavier Clarke was recruited by St Kilda with pick 5 of the 2001 National Draft from St Mary's in the Northern Territory Football League. The man affectionately known as ‘X' played 105 games for the Saints from 2002 to 2009 as a dashing and highly skilled midfielder, as well as a solitary game for the Brisbane Lions in 2010, in what was a playing career unfortunately plagued by injury. After hanging up the boots, Xavier soon turned his attention to coaching, where he was the head coach of the Northern Territory Thunder in the NEAFL from 2014 to 2016, including winning the premiership in 2015. Xavier then got an opportunity to progress his coaching to the next level, having been appointed as a development coach under Damien Hardwick at the Richmond Football Club in 2017, a role he fulfilled for three seasons. Xavier would then go on to coach the Tigers VFL side in the Covid-19 interrupted seasons that have been 2020 and 2021.

It's an honour that has only been bestowed upon two before him. Being crowned a "Pig" is not at all derogatory, it is a term of endearment from Fantasy coaches for players who go above and beyond. Those who greedily feast to bring their owners huge scores. Hawthorn's Tom Mitchell joins Dane Swan and Tom Rockliff in the Sty, a section of the hall-of-fame that houses those who produce incredible Fantasy feats. The two current Pigs, Swan and Rockliff, have been household names in the community and coaches have been rewarded with monstrous scores whenever they have played. Swan has legend status as a pig. His 2012 season where he averaged 133.5, backing up from 120.9 the previous year was phenomenal. Rockliff is the king pig. He holds the record for the highest season average of 134.7 posted back in 2014. This year, he was going at 129.2 before dislocating his shoulder. Coming off his 50 disposal and 177 Fantasy point game, it was time to crown Mitchell as an official pig. We have been tracking his progress, even before being drafted, as he has all of the traits to be one of the best ball-winners we've seen. On debut, Mitchell donned the substitute vest. When he got the chance to get into the game in the second quarter, he went on to score 98 points. The following week, free from that green clothing, he played a full game collecting 31 disposals and 10 tackles for 144 points. It was the start of something special. Although there were some ups and downs due to stints in the NEAFL and some having to play some roles that weren't conducive to big Fantasy scores, Mitchell has been the man we had hoped he would as a Hawk. In each of his nine games at his new club, Mitchell has scored 115 or more for an average of 131.7. This is the best start to a Fantasy season ever recorded as the midfielder's 1185 points knocks off Brent Stanton's record of 1164 scored in the opening nine rounds of 2012. The Traders chat to Tom on the week's episode of the Official AFL Fantasy Podcast to induct him into the Sty.
