We say farewell to Spooky Month by taking on Mike Flanagan's increasingly reclaimed, three-hour adaptation of Stephen King's Doctor Sleep with the one and only, Owen Ward. The fellas discuss why this film left people feeling a bit mixed upon release and how it has only grown in fans' estimations since then. What separates this film from the many other legacy sequels and trauma-core horror films? Does this film escape the shadow of The Shining? Is this actually the definitive Stephen King adaptation? All is discussed in this grand finale to our horror month.

In honor of the release of Alien: Romulus, the boys rev up their chainsaws and re-examine Fede Álvarez's (largely forgotten) Evil Dead reboot from 2013. Owen makes a compelling case for the merit and importance of the film before Mateo and Chris both give it their first viewings (36:24). They later dive into Romulus and discuss how it's in conversation with Evil Dead and represents an evolution in Álvarez's filmmaking (1:20:28).

Happy 7-29! As its 20th Anniversary draws near, Chris and Mateo assemble a crew, now known as The Postscript's Twelve, to celebrate and reappraise Steven Soderbergh's misunderstood sequel, Ocean's Twelve. Burnham-on-Crouch is home to one of the first floating lifeboat stations. The RNLI have a base in Burnham yacht marina, with volunteers called out to all sorts of shouts from people in difficulty along the Essex coast as well as inland along the River Crouch. Southend-on-Sea is set to host an amazing light display which will lauch a series of events to mark the Essex coastal town being made into a city. Nine large-scale light installations from around the world will transform Southend. LuminoCity will take place between 16 - 19 February 2022 with dazaling light installations stretching from Southend's Victoria Circus to the world famous pier. Councillor Carole Mulroney, the cabinet member for culture and tourism on Southend Borough Council tells Owen Ward all about the light festival and other plans for the year ahead. Electric vehicals are becoming more common on the streets of the UK, but electric trams used to glide along them over 100 years ago. Southend's trams started in 1901 providing cheep transport for locals and daytrippers alike. The network was centered around Southend High Street with routes stretching west to Leigh-on-Sea, north to Prittlewell and east to Thorpe Bay. Cobmarsh Island was twice the size 1923 compared with 2021 according to research conducted by CITiZAN: the Coastal and Intertidal Zone Archaeological Network. Archaeologists and reserchers have been working on project looking at the changing coastline around Mersea Island. A mayoral reception has taken place in the city to celebrate the academic achievements of Owen Ward and his contribution to education. Owen is a native of the westside area of the city and a member of the Irish Traveller community. Despite being an early school leaver with no Junior Cert, Owen completed the NUI Galway access programme and later graduated with a degree and masters in post-primary education. He currently serves as a programme coordinator at the Access Centre at NUI Galway. Owen Ward is also a committee member of Údarás na hOllscoile - and is the first Irish Traveller to be elected to a university governing authority in Ireland. Mayor Mike Cubbard made a presentation to Owen Ward at the socially distanced ceremony in Leisureland, and said the young man has gone above and beyond to ensure everyone has a chance in education. The Butlins holiday camp was situated near to the current lifeboat station to the south of Clacton and our location for this episode. The rival camp run by Warners, was located in Dovercourt and was used as the setting for the 1980's sitcom Hi De Hi. The main problem is, they forgot the "peep" part of the show and this failure is not filmed in a point of view style. So, it's just a generic mid-2000's sit-com and a messily structured one at that.
