Brian Gewirtz spent 12 years in creative at WWE before leaving to join The Rock's production company, Seven Bucks Productions. You're gonna hear about the gig that landed Brian the writing job at WWE, what it like writing for The Rock, Mick Foley, Edge & Christian, and even Y2J. Brian has great stories about Wrestler's Court (yeah, it was a thing, and yeah, The Undertaker was judge & jury), spending a day with Mike Tyson, musical chairs, the one celeb idea he had to shoot down, and what happened when he was put in charge of Piper's Pit at Wrestlemania 21 with Hot Rod and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Brian's also talking about his current gig at Seven Bucks Productions and why he still loves being The Rock's personal writer.

I'm back!!!!! Did you miss me? Piper's Pit returns with a Stone Cold episode that almost cost "Hot Rod" his podcast and was banned from ever being released!

I'm really not sure what to say about this man other than he is a true icon and wrestling legend!! Roderick "Roddy" George Toombs (born April 17, 1954),[1] better known by his ring name "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, is a retired Canadian professional wrestler, film actor, and podcast host. Per a WWE "Legend's Contract", he makes occasional TV and promotional appearances for the company. In professional wrestling, he is best known for his work with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). Although he is Canadian, due to his Scottish heritage he was billed as coming from Glasgow in Scotland and was known for his signature kilt and bagpipe entrance music. He earned the nickname "Rowdy" by displaying his trademark "Scottish" rage, spontaneity and quick wit. Despite being a crowd favorite for his rockstar-like persona, he often played the villain. He was also nicknamed "Hot Rod". Piper headlined several major pay-per-view events; he participated in the main events of WrestleMania I and WrestleMania X – as a special guest referee in the latter. Never a world champion, he nevertheless accumulated 34 championships in various promotions during his career. Piper was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and named No. 1 of the Top 50 villains in wrestling history by the WWE.[4] Piper currently hosts a podcast titled "Piper's Pit" on PodcastOne.

It's Christmas week here on WrestleRant Radio and Graham "GSM" Matthews is coming to town with a full review of Monday's holiday-themed episode of Raw! The show was hosted by none other than Ho-Ho-Hogan who made several marquee matches official for the night, only to be interrupted by the "naughty" Seth Rollins. He and John Cena worked a great match, but where was Brock Lesnar? Michael Cole is a "TV host," whereas JR is a "wrestling announcer." Vince now views his shows are TV programs, and not wrestling events. Survivor Series is this Sunday. Will Edge win the World Heavyweight Championship from Kane? How will they play John Cena? Will he turn full-fledged heel, or will there be "confusion" in regards to the finisher (for the record, Alex feels that Wade Barrett defeats Randy Orton for the WWE Championship).
