After Sal's laptop crashed and with Kyle in studio, the guys have a fun fast paced show. Throughout the show, Blake gushes about the Mike & The Mad Dog 30 for 30, Kyle and him discuss Spider-Man Homecoming spoiler free, Sal praises Big Brother. The discussion turns to Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan, some loaded news and then after Kimberly jumps on for a special interview, they preview WWE Battleground and Blake tells his feelings about the Punjabi Prison match. Finally the three of them break down the news and notes from the D23 Expo. Sal is not a fan of some Disney's scheduling choices, Blake is angry that he cares about a movie that he shouldn't and everyone is a bit iffy about very news stories. Sit back and enjoy the show!

It’s a brand new (off week) episode of Tights and Fights! We’re forsaking the news to focus our attention on the newest and tallest WWE Hall of Famer: The Great Khali. No, this isn’t a rib!The Main EventKhali was introduced to the WWE with as much fanfare and force as Vince McMahon could muster. His first feud was with the Undertaker and he even got his own special match as a showcase: The Punjabi Prison! It was a big, confusing spectacle that we remember no matter how hard we wish we didn’t. Also, Danielle is dressed like a pencil!Plus! Producer Julian chats with Scarlett Harris. She’s the author of the book, A Diva Was a Female Version of a Wrestler. She tells us all about how her feminist awakening led to her viewing wrestling through a different lens, WWE attempting to undo their decades of poorly showcasing women on their own terms and why despite all its flaws, she hopes that the Women’s Evolution wasn’t a one-off experiment. Our 2nd trip to the nostalgia-filled to 2006 is not nearly as rose-colored as last time. Due to *Teddy Long Voice* ELEVATED ENZYMES, this card scratched 2 title matches and butchered the plans for the first ever Punjabi Prison match. We get more King Booker, more Rey Mysterio, Mr. Kennedy bloodied, and a genius idea for the next King of the Ring. We are talking about an interesting match concept this week as we enter the Punjabi Prison! The match designed for Great Khali made its debut at Great American Bash 2006 but didn't feature him! We end up seeing two more of these matches, one in 2007 and one in 2017.These matches are different and memorable but are not the best matches. That being said they are still really fun!In this episode we break down all three matches - Big Show vs Undertaker, Great Khali vs Batista, and Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal! Please follow us and leave a five star review!Twitter - @StrangerRings1IG - @StrangerRingsPodFacebook - Stranger Rings Podcast

What are the rules of a Punjabi Prison match? Well, we watched the entire explanation and match and we still don’t understand. What we do know is that Khali was not very good and Batista did not deserve to be apart of this train wreck. On this episode we try to deconstruct this ridiculous match concept then we dive into The Good News Bad News for the past week in professional wrestling. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The Undertaker goes to prison! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their journey through every Undertaker PPV match as they cover the colossal cluster of his Punjabi Prison match at Great American Bash 2006 against The Big Show. Wait - isn't the Punjabi Prison the signature match of The Great Khali? Why yes it is - and we'll discuss the three bizarre words that led to Big Show stepping into the bamboo cage in Khali's place on the day of the show: Elevated Liver Enzymes. But before we get to the cursed PPV and the incredibly confusing Punjabi Prison, we've got a wacky build-up to discuss including a Piper's Pit filled with stuff you can't say on TV anymore, Khali's tongue, The Undertaker in ECW, another Saturday Night's Main Event, Daivari's fashion faux-pas, JBL's debut on commentary (with even more stuff you can't say on TV anymore), the break up of the Mexicools, Gunner Scott (who?), Tatanka, Simon Dean, more incomprehensible Khali promos, and some behind the scenes stories involving Dusty Rhodes and Pat Patterson crafting the big match. WWE BattleGround was this past weekend and our very own Danielle was in the house! Are losing the tag team championships the best thing for The Usos? What was the Punjabi Prison match like live compared to on TV? How is Brady celebrating another day of JinderVeinia? Are we really getting John Cena vs Shinsuke Nakamura on free TV?! Did Jinder Mahal already let his fans know who he’ll be facing at SummerSlam? We look at the new new Face of America, the Intercontinental Championship Tournament continues with Ricky Steamboat vs The Mountie and WWE continues to listen to our ideas on episode 48 of Heel Marks!
It's the 125th edition of TWL! The men return to talk a horrendous Battleground show, and a pretty good follow-up Smackdown. Also, Ethan attended Raw this week and gives a live perspective on that show. Thanks for listening!
Punjabi Prison. Great Khali. Flag Match. Let's talk about it.
Punjabi Prison. Great Khali. Flag Match. Let's talk about it.
In case you've been living under a rock this week, WWE Battleground 2017 has had the entire wrestling world buzzing, with some calling it one of of the worst events the company has produced in some time. Was it truly that terrible? Find out on the latest episode of WrestleRant Radio as Graham "GSM" Matthews and special guest Marlin Phillips break down the pay-per-view event and give their two cents on The New Day winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in an awesome opener and where the tag team scene goes from here, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin and whether we have seen the end of this program, and Natalya shockingly winning the Fatal 5-Way match and what's next for Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.Plus, hear the rest of their ranting review of Battleground and listen as they discuss Kevin Owens capturing the United States Championship in what could have been a botched finish, John Cena and Rusev rekindling their rivalry in a boring Flag match and why the entire feud was a waste of time, 50/50 booking striking again with Mike Kanellis following his loss to Sami Zayn, the atrocity that was the Punjabi Prison match between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton and the return of The Great Khali, what SmackDown Live can do to regain some of its lost luster, and much more!
We did it. We survived the Punjabi Prison to hopefully not see it again for at least another ten years. While that match and most of Battleground were pretty average, this was a pretty great week for RAW and Smackdown. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe is officially on for Summerslam! And Chris Jericho made his big return to the blue brand! Plus, next week Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena on deck for next week. We’ll talk about that and what’s good headed to the biggest party of the Summer. Main Event We’re just about a year into the modern version of the WWE Brand split. At first, Smackdown seemed to have the most momentum between the two shows for one important reason: under-used stars were getting the spotlight. But now RAW has actually succeeded in building a really great roster of main event talent and storylines while also keeping a lot of its mid card extremely over. We’ll discuss the biggest strengths and weaknesses of both shows. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. If you wanna talk about more wrestling throughout the week be sure to join us on Facebook or @TightsFights on Twitter. If you liked the show, please share it with your friends and be sure to leave us a quick review on iTunes or wherever you get podcasts.

What can it be? Could it be true? Kurt Angle has a secret to tell and the WWE’s social media manager has no time for spoiler alerts! As promised, your hosts Matt and Ron spend the majority of this week’s episode discussing SmackDown and how it’s leading up to the weekend’s Battleground pay-per-view event. With that in mind, there’s still plenty to be said about Raw, global politics, and Ron’s nasty dreams.
Jobber Radio Episode Fifty Two -- "The Punjabi Prison" (7/21/17) Hosted by: Matt Zion, Lee, Scott & Bomber - This episode is packed with content! The crew talks about Global Force Wrestling's latest news about contracts, how GFW is handling the Alberto El Patron controversy, what will happen to Paige, did anyone like the Kurt Angle/Jason Jordan segment, plus how RAW is now consistently better than Smackdown Live! Oh and you can't forget about WWE Battleground and the return of the Punjabi Prison Match! A breakdown of the Battleground PPV card and even more! Don't forget to follow us on twitter @JobberRadio. Enjoy the show!
What's the latest horrible thing that's happened to Justin? Could anyone be cooler after escaping death by helicopter crash? Are the Fashion X Files funny? What does the future hold for Jason Jordan-Angle? Is Chad Gable elite? Why is the Punjabi Prison a thing? Will we get a fourth season of Lucha Underground? Where might Dario Cueto end up if the Temple closes? All of these questions and more are disagreed upon between Justin & Christoff.
Intensity! Integrity! Intelligence! Interracial love! Kurt Angle has been dominating the headlines for one reason: he’s Jason Jordan’s fake white dad. And that… is really weird. But we’ll talk about why it could be a great chance for Jason Jordan to get some star power. Plus, RAW has actually had some really compelling stuff lately, especially in their Universal Title scene which features Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. But Smackdown? Between the Punjabi Prison match and canceling Talking Smack, we’ll talk about why the Blue Brand has seen better days. Gimmick Corner In his early main-roster WWE career, Neville was a high-flier with a generic good guy attitude and a cape. But he’s since joined 205 Live with one of the best role-changes in recent memory. We’ll talk all about why the King of the Cruiserweights is so great. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
Wanna be a guest picker on Jobbing Out? You just have to buy us something. That's what our buddy Dale Hofmann (@FatCrabCakes) did, so he's in studio this week. In Segment 1 we break down Kurt Angle's announcement-did it live up to the hype? And are we definitely getting a Fatal 4 Way at SummerSlam? In Segment 2 (39:56) the boys make their picks for Battleground this Sunday. Who will walk out of the Punjabi Prison as champ? Who will be revealed to attack Breezango? Who will have to sing Pat Benatar because of their choices? In Segment 3 (1:22:35) we're joined by Global Force Wrestling's James Storm. We discuss his feud with EC3, the ever evolving state of GFW, what he wants to accomplish in the future and a picture we saw of him hanging out with Bray Wyatt recently. After the interview, the boys jump into the Quick Count. What did A.J. think after attending the Mae Young Classic, could Rey Mysterio be returning to WWE and we're bummed that Talking Smack is over.

From a newsworthy week for the women of WWE to Ring of Honor Best in the World to Impact Wrestling Slammiversary, it has been a busy time for various wrestling promotions as of late, giving Graham "GSM" Matthews plenty to discuss on WrestleRant Radio! He starts off the show with his ramblings thoughts on ROH's BITW event, the women headlining every major WWE show this past week, rumors of Alberto El Patron and Paige potentially breaking up, Carmella replacing Paige on the next season of Total Divas, War Machine now free agents, Tyson Kidd working as a producer for WWE, two great interviews with Bayley and Baron Corbin, and predictions for Slammiversary on Sunday. In his reviews of Raw and SmackDown Live, GSM gives his two cents on plans possibly changing for the SummerSlam and WrestleMania 34 main events, the reintroduction of Goldust, why Miz TV with the Ball family was such a train wreck, Big Cass' latest attack on Enzo Amore, Samoa Joe ambushing Brock Lesnar and the brilliance of their rivalry, the women's Gauntlet match, Daniel Bryan and his hilarious antics on Talking Smack, if the Lana experiment is officially over, the return of the Punjabi Prison match, Carmella becoming a two-time Money in the Bank winner, and much more!
"Great Balls of Fire" (RAW) steht nächstes Wochenende auf dem Programm. Was muss sich ändern?
