It's good to be back! Two episodes left until our summer break and we gotta be honest, sometimes getting to the studio to record together is just magic. In today's episode, Christina tells a story about confronting the man who was sending her sexually suggestive poetry and how she misinterpreted his kind gestures. It was this meeting that helped Christina determine how she wanted to be proposed to. In turn, Ryan shares his recent experience with Soul Cycle and the experience of a lifetime he had joining the Soul Cycle cult. Later in today's episode Ryan talks about his hate of birthday cards and Christina talks about her time at progressive summer camp. Ryan also delves into his fears about his changing body. We were privileged to host Mike Kosowan in today's episode. He is a long-time Ottawa improviser and one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet. Ryan and Mike get downright nerdy about improv and spend 20 minutes geeking out. If like nerds talking about nerdy stuff, this episode is for you! Ok folks, this is one of those episodes you're going to want to listen through the whole thing. We were thrilled to host Ryan's wife Sara today's episode. Of course, she does it all with grace and poise while Ryan and Christina manage to make it awkward as hell. In the rest of today's episode, Ryan and Christina launch a small business for all your party planning needs. Christina talks about her passion for child care and while Ryan shares his passionate disgust for Bath and Body Works. Christina also asks the big question, what's the appropriate age differential in a relationship? This was probably one of our favourite episodes to record all season and that was even before Sara came to join us. If you ever wondered what it would be like to have Ryan and Christina flustered at the same time, this ones for you Remember we rely on word of mouth. We had so much fun recording this episode. Sometimes you just get a little hyper and things get stupid. Christina, fresh off a trip to London and Ryan, fresh off birthing and delivery courses with his wife, have plenty to talk about. On today's episode Ryan teaches Christina about her body and what she can expect during childbirth. It's as informative as it is beautiful. Christina tells us about the British comedy scene and her reaction to meeting a real life British Lord. Hint, you already know it was awkward. I should maybe warn you about our interview with our two guests today. You've heard each of them independently on Scene Partners but on today's episode we host Andrew Wambolt and David Haddad as "comedy best friends". The interview falls apart almost immediately and we are pleased to present to you a very chaotic and very funny interview with these fantastic comedians. We finish by providing impeccable relationship advice to a woman thinking of dating a cannibal. Finally, please mark your calendars. Did you know we have listeners in France?? Huh. What a joy it is to provide another delightful episode for you. On today's episode Christina learns about Ryan's unfortunate tanning incident which occurred on his recent trip to Hawaii. The results of which left Christina disgusted and sick to her stomach. Christina shares a story about the worst "almost tattoo" she ever got and it's a doozy. Ottawa Improv Fest just occurred in our little town and the crew dissects what a wonderful weekend it truly was! Funny story, this episode's segment of "Was That Funny?" turned in to a full-scale brawl with Christina taking down patriarchy, one loveable character at a time. Finally, we were absolutely pleased to host Leslie Cserepy, a veteran of the Ottawa improv scene as our special guest! As always, we love when you tell your friends about the show. Christina also goes into great detail about what her Tinder profile would be and why it's so hard to meet a man on a dating app. It's not all bad though, Ryan offers Christina stellar dating advice and they also reminisce about the Office, which leads to a discussion about awkward comedy and whether it's a cop-out to say offensive things. Wow this was such a fun episode to record. Maybe there was something in the water but you'll be able to tell during our time with our wonderful guest Kristine Shadid, things get a bit stupid. In today's episode Ryan becomes Christina's life coach, they argue over the size of an elephant's penis and each discuss (in detail) their breakups. Kristine Shadid explains what cosplay is and it was a very divisive segment of relationship advice. It was generally just a stupid episode. Please rate and recommend Scene Partners to your friends!

At one point, the conversation turns into a ridiculous debate about Madonna lyrics and you can imagine it's well informed. We are thrilled to have a very funny David Brennan on our show today. A sketch comedian, stand up veteran and one of the nicest dudes you've ever met.

Ryan has his suspicions confirmed when he goes back FAR on Christina's facebook. She's the girl you thought she would be. Ryan likewise decides to talk about his edgy phase. Probably one of his best phases but was too short-lived. On today's episode Chelsea Fahey joins Scene Partners to tell us whether or not JP was a good student when she taught him improv. And the balance has been restored. Last week, Ryan and I got pretty focused on some male genitalia, so luckily, the fantastic Christina came by and brought us back on track. So much female genitalia. It couldn't be helped. It shouldn't be helped. It wouldn't be helped. It had to happen. And it happened with Christina, who is wonderfully talented. She is a part of the improv troupe A Little Awkward, and she is 50% of the Scene Partners podcast. That makes this another crossover episode! We brought the studio to her and she helped us learn more about the Familial Semi-Aquatic Hindgut. Along the way, we discovered more about family, nudie mags in the woods, church camps, Noah's ark, Diva cups, safe search, furies, and rotting peaches.  Most egregious error: we couldn't remember Michael Winslow's name. Shame on us. Christina didn't even know he existed. Double shame.  Science level: Pretty low. This is a full 2 hours of silly bits. We learn everything that we need to know about the Familial Semi-Aquatic Hindgut, but we are not pushing the boundaries of our collective knowledge. 

The first On Being Animals crossover episode! Well, more of a semi-crossover. He's is half of the podcast "Scene Partners". Who is he? He's Ryan, the talented kind soul who is also in the improv troupe "A Little Awkward". He crossed the river to help us discover more about the Disease-Prone Diggysaurus Penis Boy. Along the way, we planned a BBQ rib treasure hunt, we explored the power of reconciliation, and there was dick talk. A lot of dick talk. We are men, but sometimes we are 9 year old boys giggling during sex-ed class. You know what, in the next episode, I'll try to restore genital balance with generous vagina talk. But for now, this animal has an exceptional penis. Most egregious error: I said that this animal has a baculum. Shame on me. This is a baculumless animal.  Science level: this one was a little more philosophical than most.
