Today we launch a new mix with Italo/Iranian DJ and producer Sciahri, to mark the release of his brand new EP on Monument Records "Stranger Infatuation." Sciahri has been meandering throughout the spectrum of Techno ever since his 2014 debut EP on Ilian Tape. He has since released on some of the most influential labels, such as Opal Tapes, Manhigh, Semantica, Mord, and, in parallel, via his own outlet Sublunar Records since 2017. More recently in 2022 he started a live project focused on ambient/ experimental Techno, with a world premiere at the Tehran Contemporary Sounds festival. The Sublunar Recordings co-founder @Sciahri is back to his own imprint with a Metamorphosis EP. The release is filled with the artist's familiar sounds, balancing between textured sounds, dreamy atmospheres and overall spacey feels. Monument premieres track Ira from the record's B-side, a dark yet energetic track that encapsulates Sciahri's highly textured signature sounds. Founded last year by Sciahri and Dagdrom, Sublunar Records presents their third release, this time by Refracted. The Meta EP is a four-tracker of guaranteed Refracted sound, combining heavy and tough beats, trippy soundscapes and fine details. Monument previews Ray, perhaps the most trippy and atmospheric track of the release, still being a dancefloor-ready banger - of course in a delicate way.
