You have been 'sent' by God to carry out His call on your life and be a blessing to all.
Rev. Michael Davis preaches on the Book of Genesis.
God shapes you slowly… but He moves in your life suddenly. In this powerful message, Pastor David Grobler teaches how God forms you in hidden seasons long before He brings breakthrough into the open. We often desire the “suddenly” moments — promotion, opportunity, breakthrough, favour — but forget that God prepares us through slow shaping, private battles, and unseen faithfulness. Using the lives of David, Joseph, and Israel, this message reveals that it is the right heart, not talent, that positions you for the door God opens in a moment. The question isn't whether God can move suddenly — the question is whether your heart is ready when He does.
The sermon centers on the authority and divine commission of Paul as an apostle, establishing that his apostleship originates not from human recognition but directly from Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead. It emphasizes that true salvation comes through faith in Christ alone, not through adherence to the Mosaic Law, which was temporary and preparatory, and warns against the dangerous compromise of mixing law and grace, which distorts the gospel. The message underscores the unity of the Father and the Son, the necessity of Christ's resurrection for atonement, and the transformative power of grace that delivers believers from the present evil age into a life empowered by the Holy Spirit. Paul's self-identification as an apostle is not self-promotion but a defense of the gospel's purity, rooted in divine authority and essential for the church's spiritual health. Ultimately, the sermon calls the church to uphold a gospel of grace, reject human works, and live in the freedom and hope of the Spirit, recognizing that true apostolic ministry is both a divine calling and a lifelong commitment to Christ's mission.

God takes what the world sees as broken and transforms it into something beautiful, just as Michelangelo saw David hidden in flawed marble. Through stories of faith, loss, and everyday encounters, we can be reminded that our lives are meant to reflect Christ’s transforming power. God’s redeeming work reshapes us to be witnesses of His glory in a world longing for hope. Listen to this sermon as Rev. Michael Davis explores how to live as a witness of the one true God. ________ Sign up for Central’s newsletters here. Visit us on our website to learn more. Isaiah 6 is often quoted as an example of a willing servant of God expressing eagerness to be on mission for him. What can be overlooked, however, is the fact that God is calling Isaiah to an extremely difficult task, and Isaiah’s willingness to go comes less from a place of excitement and more from a place of experiencing the weightiness, superlativeness, and supremacy of God. Listen to this sermon from Rev. Andrew Smith as we consider how the motivation for going comes not from the mission but from the One who sends. ________ Sign up for Central’s newsletters here. The Holy Spirit is speaking to every believer in Jesus and He's asking the question, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” God wants to send every one of us into His Kingdom work. When we say “Here am I, Send me,” God will use our lives for His glory.Main Points:1. I've noticed over the years, that the thing that keeps many Christians from stepping out in faith and allowing God to use their lives is that they disqualify themselves. Some feel unusable because of their past, their failures, and their mistakes. Others think God is looking for people who are more spiritual or more gifted.2. Notice in the verse with Isaiah, there are no qualifications listed. God was looking for one thing: availability. The old saying is still true: God is not looking for ability. He is looking for availability. 3. God is still searching for men and women who will say yes. He's looking for individuals who are willing to be sent and to be used by the Holy Spirit.Today's Scripture Verses:Isaiah 6:8 - “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”Quick Links:Subscribe to The 5 Minute Discipleship NewsletterDonate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group5 Minute Discipleship on Instagram
