Send us Fan MailTinnitus is everywhere, yet real answers still feel rare. We sit down with Jeffery Reagan, a heart transplant survivor, tinnitus patient, and the founder of the Tinnitus Learning Health Network, to talk about why so many people with ringing in the ears get stuck bouncing between providers, hearing “nothing can be done,” or trying random fixes without a clear path forward. Jeffery shares the personal health journey that taught him how much outcomes depend on teamwork, empathy, and systems that actually learn. From there, we get practical about the solution he is building: the Tinnitus Learning Health Network (TLHN), designed as a learning health network that connects patients, clinicians, and researchers around one shared goal: better tinnitus outcomes. We break down how the “golden triad” works, why collecting patient-reported outcome measures like THI and TFI is essential when clinics still lack an objective tinnitus test, and how shared data can reveal which interventions work best for specific tinnitus subgroups. We also talk about proven tinnitus management options like CBT, TRT, counseling, sound therapy, and when referrals matter if a provider does not specialize in tinnitus care.We also dig into the hard stuff: funding pilot sites, building credibility, reducing disparities in care, and using real-world results to push insurers toward tinnitus reimbursement. If you want a hopeful, data-driven view of the future of hearing health care, this conversation delivers. Subscribe, share this with someone living with tinnitus, and leave a review to help more people find better answers.Visit our website and take our quick online hearing screener. In this episode, we kick things off by examining a puzzling phenomenon in cross-border logistics where capacity appears plentiful on paper but remains brutally tight in practice. According to Uber Freight's senior vice president overseeing cross-border operations, the real constraint isn't a lack of drivers overall but rather a critical shortage of drivers who meet increasingly stringent compliance and security standards. With northbound demand into the U.S. running two to three times higher than southbound flows and uncertainty around the upcoming USMCA review slowing nearshoring investment, carriers are struggling to reposition equipment fast enough to keep pace with U.S.-bound freight. Shifting gears to the rails, we examine how rail technology giant Wabtec delivered a powerful start to 2026 with solid execution across both its freight and transit divisions. First quarter revenue grew 13% to $2.95 billion while adjusted earnings per share surged 18.9% to $2.71, driven by a 52.5% jump in equipment sales from higher locomotive deliveries and a remarkable 75.7% increase in digital sales fueled by strategic acquisitions. On the strength of these results, Wabtec raised its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance by 20 cents at the midpoint, projecting growth of 16.5% for 2026. Finally, we unpack the contrasting fortunes at a major Canadian transportation company where TFI International's Truckload sector improved while its LTL division struggled in the first quarter. TFI handily beat Wall Street expectations with non-GAAP earnings per share of 69 cents—8 cents above consensus—as its Truckload segment posted a 14.32% jump in operating income and adjusted EBITDA growth exceeding 4%. However, the less-than-truckload division saw its combined operating ratio deteriorate 220 basis points to 95.3% and operating income decline 35.12%. Despite the mixed performance, management issued strong second quarter guidance, projecting adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.50 to $1.60—more than double the first quarter result. Join our champion program: mark@themomentumcompany.comAttend a Thriving Leader event: https://thriving-leader-2026.lovable.app/Instagram: @the.momentum.companyLinkedIn: /momentum-companyIn this episode of The Intentional Agribusiness Leader, Mark sits down with Corey Rosenbusch, CEO of The Fertilizer Institute, to unpack what's really happening in Washington — and why it directly impacts growers, retailers, and agribusiness leaders across the country.Corey shares how fertilizer has been elevated to a global stage over the past year. From tariffs on Canadian potash to sanctions on Belarus and global urea disruptions, fertilizer now sits at the center of food security, national security, and geopolitical negotiations. One key reminder: fertilizer is a global commodity. Prices are driven by worldwide supply and demand — not local preference. When China limits phosphate exports or global supply tightens, U.S. growers feel it immediately.Corey also gives a behind-the-scenes look at what trade associations actually do. From securing critical tariff exemptions during planting season to preventing bio-stimulants from being regulated like pesticides, the work happening in D.C. often determines whether products move efficiently — or get buried in red tape.Another major focus is nutrient stewardship. The 4R framework — right source, right rate, right time, right place — becomes even more critical in tight-margin seasons. Efficiency isn't optional; it's essential.Beyond policy, Corey talks about leadership. When he stepped into TFI six years ago, he asked his team to define their culture — and got 25 different answers. That sparked a deliberate effort to define core values, behaviors, and weekly culture reinforcement. For Corey, intentional leadership starts with clarity. This episode is a reminder that what feels like “noise” in Washington often has very real implications at the farm gate.Listen if you are:Navigating tough fertilizer pricing conversationsLeading in a volatile policy environmentCurious how global supply chains impact local decisionsInterested in culture-building inside mission-driven organizations

They look back on the trends they're seeing in the association space. They discuss:How AI dominated 2025, with associations investing heavily in staff training, internal policies, and custom GPTs to boost content production and streamline workflows. The AI tools that helped Matrix Group clients modernize outdated content by converting PDFs to HTML, summarizing large documents, and creating metadata and schema for better discoverability. Why associations wrestled with how much previously gated content to expose for AI indexing, balancing member-only value with public visibility and relevance in AI search results.“About the Industry” storytelling sections of a website becoming a trend, with associations crafting narratives to spotlight the importance of their fields not just to members, but to the public and policymakers. How clients faced tighter budgets in 2025, making incremental updates and data-driven decisions more important than ever. The notable rise of multimedia content, with podcasts and audio read-alouds replacing and supplementing long-form text to meet member preferences and improve accessibility. How personalization is becoming easier with AI and how associations can now deliver customized recommendations for members, modeled after platforms like Netflix or Duolingo. How AI is revolutionizing design and development, with tools that boost creativity, accelerate prototyping, and reduce tedious manual work. How mobile-first and voice-enabled experiences are expected to surge, especially as younger members rely more on phones and smart speakers for web interaction.References:Matrix Group WebsiteSee how TFI tells the story of the industry. We made a few tweaks to the ALDA website in advance of a larger redesign in the future.

The October Logistics Managers' Index data, detailed in the article October LMI shows price increases outpacing capacity growth, shows transportation utilization (57.3) and pricing (61.7) surged, reversing the prior negative freight inversion. The Department of Transportation is escalating its battle against "CDL mills" accused of certifying unqualified drivers, promising to eliminate unsafe operators and investigate fleets that hire them. This heightened regulatory enforcement is already leading to a significant capacity shakeout in the truckload market, which could potentially overshadow Schneider's tough Q3 earnings report. DOT Secretary Sean Duffy is expanding driver enforcement to shippers who load up rigs, warning that companies must ensure truck drivers meet federal English language proficiency rules or face substantial penalties. This focus on language compliance follows the sidelining of more than 7,000 truckers reportedly for English proficiency violations due to a revived out-of-service criterion this year. Meanwhile, UPS announced that 2,000 drivers left UPS after taking buyouts in the third quarter, part of a major streamlining campaign that has eliminated 48,000 jobs over the past 18 months. Across the industry, TFI International reported mixed signs of a turnaround at TFI's U.S. LTL operations, showing flat year-over-year operating ratios and decreased operating income across all major segments.
