The Devil's Ledger — Week of December 15 Welcome back—and happy holidays. It's that special time of year filled with forced cheer, soft lighting, and quietly wondering whether leftovers have crossed from festive into forensic. Whether you're decking halls, dodging relatives, or just surviving December, we're glad you're here. This week's Ledger is packed with folklore, fanaticism, lost idealism, and a reminder that some remakes exist solely to make us feel ancient.

If you enjoyed part 1 of my chat with Marion McKeown, you're going to LOVE part 2. This time we get stuck into some of the key characters in the crazy story that is the USA today – characters like Robert F Kennedy junior, the anti-vax US health secretary with a worm in his brain; Olivia Nuzzi, the machiavellian journalist that had an affair with RFK Jnr, the late Jeffrey Epstein who is having a major impact on US politics even several years after his death; Pete Hegseth, Howard Lutnick...the list goes on. We also ask some important questions, like really how intelligent is Donald trump ? Did a bullet actually hit his ear in the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania? And did Jeffrey Epstein really take his own life, or was he killed?Marion has been covering US politics and culture for decades – she's been all over the country, attended scores of MAGA rallies, been in the white House press group, and met all the big players.COMEDY - its the Fine Gael and Fianna Fail joint Christmas party! The Breggin Hour Health, Lifestyle, The Breggin Hour https://mega.nz/file/ssYxVKbb#udRyxCNQSvR3ZZC70Dlsj_N0ct1I43isH-6xWra1wxc Dr. Lynn Lafferty grew up around her two grandmothers, both farmers, learning lessons that helped chart the course in her life decades later. Some family stories had a lifelong impact. One great-grandmother was the local healer in her small rural community. When the Spanish Flu erupted, she used an elixir of elderberries and alcohol to treat 20 community members who fell ill with that dread disease. Not a single patient died. Lynn reports that no one in her extended family fell ill from that disease, and attributes their resistance to the nightly dose of elderberry elixir for all family members, which was a family ritual. Dr. Lafferty is an endowed professor at Nova Southeastern University, teaching pharmacy and medical students. She attributes her career choice to influences from her grandmothers, who inspired her direction in life. The life lessons she learned also drove her to seek rational solutions to the SARS-CoV-2 virus when it broke out, causing COVID in 2020. Challenges in Medical Education Dr Lafferty highlighted her concerns about the lack of education on essential nutrients and the influence of hospital protocols over resident physicians. She described a concerning mindset among psychiatry residents who expressed fear of harming patients with prescribed drugs, despite their extensive training and financial investment. Dr. Lafferty also recounted a personal experience involving her brother's inadequate medical care, emphasizing the limitations imposed by hospital protocols and the lack of knowledge about basic treatments like magnesium deficiency. Truth and Love's Transformative Power The Breggins discussed with Dr. Lafferty her experience speaking truthfully about healthcare issues, including her confrontation with a dean over her statements about Lipitor's side effects. She expressed her commitment to speaking the truth and her belief that she is on a mission. Dr. Breggin and Ginger Breggin also confirmed their personal sense of being called to do their work. Authoritarian Control in Medical Progress Peter and Lynn discussed the impact of authoritarian control over medical institutions, highlighting how innovative doctors are being suppressed, which hampers progress in medicine and patient care. Pharmacists vs. Physicians: Education Gaps Dr. Breggin and Dr. Lafferty also examined differences between primary care doctors and pharmacists, Dr. Lafferty declaring that pharmacists are more science-based and less authoritarian than medical doctors. They highlighted how medical students receive limited pharmacology training compared to the comprehensive education received in the past. Therapy, Medication, and Scientific Reasoning Dr. Breggin raised the issue of the importance of therapy over medication for psychiatric and psychological issues and the potential benefits of pharmacists working with psychiatrists to monitor psychiatric drug side effects. Listening to the patient who is sitting in front of you and looking beyond the latest big pharmaceutical options were two important highlights that came out of the conversation. Seeking treatments with the least potential for harm and understanding the range of treatments available in the natural world of foods and supplements were also emphasized. Dr. Lafferty can be found at her website. She offers courses, some free. Her newest training is a 10-session course, held once a week, that gives a basic understanding of how to take care of yourself and your family best. Participants review body systems, how they work, and foods, herbs, and supplements that can help the body return to balance. ______ Learn more about Dr. Peter Breggin's work: https://breggin.com/ See more from Dr. Breggin's long history of being a reformer in psychiatry: https://breggin.com/Psychiatry-as-an-Instrument-of-Social-and-Political-Control Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal, the how-to manual @ https://breggin.com/a-guide-for-prescribers-therapists-patients-and-their-families/ Get a copy of Dr. Breggin's latest book: WHO ARE THE “THEY” - THESE GLOBAL PREDATORS? THE DEVIL'S LEDGER Week of December 8th Welcome back to The Devil's Ledger — and happy holidays! This week we're unwrapping a lineup that's equal parts chilling, mysterious, and deeply fascinating.
The Berlin Wall rises, splitting the city from east to west. Then a stand-off between American and Soviet tanks at the crossing point, Checkpoint Charlie, brings the two superpowers to the brink of military confrontation. And fearing that they are falling far behind in the missile race, the Soviets prepare to test the biggest bomb ever exploded. As relations between the two sides deteriorate, we explore the importance of diplomatic back channels with hosts Nina Khrushcheva and Max Kennedy, relatives of the superpower leaders. We meet Max's father, Senator Robert F Kennedy, and his Soviet contact, Georgy Bolshakov. This is the personal and political history of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Nina Khrushcheva is the great-granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev and Max Kennedy is the nephew of President John F Kennedy, and the son of Robert F Kennedy.
How did Robert F. Kennedy — once the heir-apparent to the Kennedy family's Democratic dynasty — become the Secretary of Health in the Trump administration and the nation's most important anti-vaccine advocate? Michael Scherer, staff writer at The Atlantic, sat down with Kennedy for 7+ hours, getting to know him during jean-clad workouts, Congressional hearings, and the plane ride where Kennedy learned of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The image Michael paints of Kennedy, in a profile published in The Atlantic this month, is a man of extreme changes — a promising political figure turned heroin addict, an environmental lawyer turned anti-vaccine activist, a Democratic presidential candidate turned Republican Secretary of Health. Contributor Alex Wagner sits down with Michael for an interesting conversation to ask if a better understanding of the strange political figure can help us better make sense of his dangerous approach to health and politics. Ultra-processed foods – think packaged snacks, frozen meals and hot dogs – have become dietary staples due to their convenience, affordability and aggressive marketing. However, these foods have low to no nutritional value and can contribute to significant health issues like obesity, diabetes, heart disease and colorectal cancer. In this episode of Further Together, three of ORAU's subject matter experts – Diane Krause, Brenda Blunt and Jennifer Reynolds – talk about a recently published white paper on social listening and perceptions of ultra-processed foods. Improving diet quality is a critical goal of the Make America Healthy Again Agenda promulgated by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., U.S. Health and Human Services secretary. Our experts talk in detail about the white paper and what their findings mean for future research and policy initiatives. A feature story on the white paper, Insights from Social Media Conversations on X about Ultra-Processed Foods and Recommendations for Health Communications, along with a link to the paper itself, can be found here: https://www.orau.org/blog/programs/maha-gaining-insight-into-what-people-think-about-ultra-processed-foods-through-social-listening.html

In his explosive new book, ABUSE OF POWER (December 2, 2025; Post Hill Press; ISBN: 979-8895654903;$21.00 Paperback), bestselling author, former noted criminal defense attorney, and TV network legal analyst Mark Shaw affirms RFK, Jr.'s sense that Sirhan Sirhan was not accountable for the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. Shaw, however, refutes the HHS Secretary's theory that his father's murder was linked to the CIA. Backed by shocking new evidence, Shaw exposes the real mastermind—the one with the strongest motive to want RFK dead—New Orleans mafia don Carlos Marcello. Further, the author deduces that Sirhan was “recruited” as a “patsy” to defer suspicions of Marcello's involvement. The result: for nearly 60 years, Sirhan has languished in a prison cell because, Shaw believes, he was denied justice from the moment he was arrested.Based on Shaw's nearly 15 years of extensive research, ABUSE OF POWER exposes, for the first time, the connection between the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy and the mysterious death of famed journalist Dorothy Kilgallen, with Marcello as the culprit for each. The mafia don used patsies to cover his complicity—a pattern that had never been revealed before. For Shaw, the key to this conclusion is an FBI file transcript, an audiotaped “confession” Marcello made to a fellow inmate at a Texas federal prison on December 15, 1985. While expressing his intense dislike of the former president, the mafia don confided, “Yeah, I had the son of a bitch killed. I'm glad I did it. I'm sorry I couldn't have done it myself.” Predictably, the 24-year-old Sirhan became the fall guy. Before getting caught up in the mafia don's murder plot, Sirhan, per FBI records, worked at Santa Anita Racetrack in Southern California where John Shear, a paddock captain hailed as a hero for saving a little girl from being stampeded by a wild horse, hired Sirhan as a “hot walker” for the meager sum of $200 a month.Like a prosecutor building his case, Shaw uses this jaw-dropping admission as the stepping stone to “indicting” Marcello for RFK's murder. Why? Because RFK, who knew the mafia don had orchestrated his brother's assassination to render the then-attorney general powerless, had illegally deported Marcello. So, when RFK announced his campaign for president in March 1968 and then won several primaries, Marcello devised a diabolical plan to protect his multimillion-dollar empire while also exacting his revenge. On November 20, 1925, Robert Francis Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts. A hundred years later, Bobby might matter more than ever. Chris Matthews, longtime host of MSNBC's “Hardball”, is already the author of one bestselling RFK biography, Bobby Kennedy: A Raging Spirit. And today, to celebrate the centennial of his birth, the pugnacious polemicist has a new book about RFK's abiding relevance. In Lessons From Bobby, Chris Matthews gives us ten reasons why Robert Francis Kennedy still matters. Matthews' favorite lesson? Bobby's willingness to concede defeat. After losing the 1968 Oregon Democratic primary to Gene McCarthy, Kennedy graciously acknowledged his loss and paid tribute to his opponent. Matthews argues this is essential to democracy. “The loser is the only one who can give credential to the winner,” he notes. “Without that, the American people always have doubts.” Yes, in November 2025, Bobby matters more than ever. 1. Bobby's Vulnerability Was His Strength Unlike JFK's aloof, almost royal demeanor, Bobby identified with victims rather than observing them from a distance. He “seemed to have identified with people's troubles and thought of himself as one of the victims,” making him relatable in ways his more polished brother never was.2. Personal Experience Transformed His Politics Bobby's commitment to civil rights deepened dramatically after his assistant John Seigenthaler was beaten nearly to death during the Freedom Rides in 1961. “Something turned in him,” Matthews notes—he realized someone close to him had been left to die in the streets, radicalizing his approach to racial justice.3. The Kennedys Became Liberals Strategically Neither Jack nor Bobby started as liberals. After narrowly losing the 1956 VP nomination, JFK realized “I got a lot of Southern support, but I don't have any liberal support.” The Kennedys understood that power in the Democratic Party was liberal, so they “married” figures like Arthur Schlesinger and John Kenneth Galbraith to reposition themselves.4. Bobby Could Separate Good from Bad Matthews emphasizes Bobby's ability to “granulate the good from the bad”—whether distinguishing corrupt labor bosses like Jimmy Hoffa from reform leaders like Cesar Chavez, or understanding how riots after King's assassination could be both morally motivated and criminally wrong. This nuanced thinking set him apart.5. Conceding Defeat Defines Democracy Matthews' most important lesson: Bobby's gracious concession after losing Oregon to Gene McCarthy exemplifies democratic virtue. “The loser is the only one who can give credential to the winner,” Matthews argues, contrasting this sharply with Trump's 2020 election denial and warning that without honest concessions, “the American people always have doubts.”Keen On America is a reader-supported publication. There is something about a journey. Whether it is a long-anticipated vacation or an emergency that calls you away from all that is familiar, a journey is a new beginning. One moment you're in your own home, surrounded by all the things that have collected to facilitate your daily activities and routines. The next moment, you're in a car, a train, an airplane flying across the landscape toward the unknown. Sooner or later, we each find ourselves on a journey. This life teaches us again and again that what is familiar today can be upended in a moment. We sew the fabric of our lives to cradle and support us, but the threads are fragile, and eventually, there will be a tear. Patterns vanish, routines deteriorate, and we are suddenly forced to re-create what we need—in effect to re-create who we are. It is at those moments that we rediscover our hidden reserves as we consciously evaluate and determine what, indeed, matters most in our lives. Tragedy and disasters can also offer unanticipated blessings. In a generous act of grace and kindness, our guest on The Breggin Hour invited Peter Breggin to share his perspectives on being a head injury patient. After over 60 years of helping patients and vulnerable persons to understand and overcome head injuries and brain damage from psychiatric drugs, electroshock, and lobotomy, Peter suffered a stroke in August of 2025. The damage has been serious enough that the Breggins have traveled to Florida to be evaluated for participation in a cutting-edge program for patients with brain injuries of various kinds. For the Breggins, Peter's injury and the symptoms he is experiencing are so fresh that he has not talked publicly before about his subjective reactions to the experience. That changed when this week's guest, screenwriter Steve Miller, said, “This is fascinating—please tell me more.” Steve Miller has been a writer for film and TV for over 25 years—he lives and breathes stories, and knew he was hearing a unique one in this interview. A personally thoughtful and caring man, he is also wide awake to the evils of our world and the nefarious goals of globalists who want to control the world. Covid Unmasked: 2020 and Beyond is Steve Miller's excellent documentary, which exposes the underlying motives and hidden puppet masters who brought us all to the brink of global economic disaster while setting in motion the events of the Covid era that continue to claim lives today. With this broad shared background, the conversation turned to the personal. What followed may be the most intimate hour with the Breggins ever recorded. Donald Trump had a complete meltdown during his visit to Asia after learning that everyone back home hates him. Trump apparently decided to look at his dismal poll numbers on the trip, and got on Truth Social as soon as he could to let the world know that all those poll numbers are totally fake. As usual, he didn't offer any evidence or reason as to why the media is allegedly faking his poll numbers.Health experts and doctors are sounding the alarms after Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s latest anti-health medical guidance. The Secretary of Health and Human Services updated the nation's dietary guidelines and called for us to consume MORE saturated fats, in spite of the increased consumption leading to more heart disease and cardiovascular problems. The man who had part of his brain eaten by a worm seems to be actively trying to kill us as quickly as possible. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a ruling by a 3-member panel of their court after it was brought to their attention that the federal government LIED to the panel in order to get a favorable verdict. The case involved the administration's attempt to federalize the Oregon National Guard in order to send them to Portland, and the administration had told the court that they had to deploy 25% of the nation's Federal Protective Service officers to the city in order to protect federal buildings. It turns out that the number was a complete fabrication, but that number was used to get a favorable ruling from the judicial panel. Donald Trump admitted to reporters recently that he isn't concerned about the legality of his drone strikes on boats in the Caribbean and now the Pacific, and instead just says that they're going to keep killing people. Trump's language was actually even far more blunt about how he wants these people to die. To make matters worse, an official with the administration has now admitted that most of these boats didn't even have the capacity to make it to the United States. But that fact isn't stopping Pete Hegseth from deploying an aircraft carrier to carry out more strikes on more potentially-innocent civilians.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! On October 22, BigTentUSA hosted a thought-provoking conversation with Kerry Kennedy, President of @rfkhumanrights and @SenatorChrisMurphy (D-CT), moderated by @bulwarkmedia's Sam Stein. Rather than focusing solely on policy reform, the speakers explored how decades of broken promises from both Democrats and Republicans — coupled with the lack of a shared understanding of what it truly means to be American — have fueled the intolerance underlying today's immigration crisis. They reflected on how this erosion of shared values has weakened trust in institutions and deepened divisions across the country. The discussion also examined the broader democratic moment, from the real-world impact of the ongoing government shutdown to the growing threats posed by authoritarianism. Kennedy and Murphy emphasized that lasting progress depends not only on government action but on the collective power of citizens and civil society organizations to push for accountability and justice. It was an illuminating and deeply human conversation — a call to restore our sense of common purpose and to harness the power of civic engagement in defense of democracy and human rights.Learn more about RFK Human Rights: https://rfkhumanrights.org/ ABOUT THE SPEAKERS Kerry Kennedy is president of Robert F. Senator Murphy has been a strong voice in the Senate fighting for job creation, affordable health care, education, sensible gun laws, and a forward-looking foreign policy. Senator Murphy is a consensus builder and many times throughout his political career has worked to bridge the political divide. He led a bipartisan effort to reform the mental health system, working across the aisle to craft the first comprehensive mental health bill in the Senate in decades. Following the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in 2012, Senator Murphy became one of the leading proponents of commonsense reforms to reduce gun violence. He has championed a number of bipartisan bills aimed at expanding background checks and keeping guns out of the hands of criminals. And most recently, he was the lead Democratic negotiator of the breakthrough bipartisan border reform agreement. Sam Stein is managing editor for The Bulwark. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services, clearly does not like SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), the most popular form of antidepressant on the market. They're used by millions of Americans on a daily basis. He has tried to tie SSRIs to school shooters despite a lack of evidence to that effect. He has suggested that it's harder to go off SSRIs than it is to quit heroin. It's not. Molly Olmstead, a reporter for Slate who has been covering this story closely, says that this does not mean that the government is about to try to ban SSRIs and leave patients without the medicines that may be keeping them alive. But she explains that yes, we are in the midst of a very active anti-SSRI PR campaign by Kennedy and his supporters in the so-called Make America Healthy Again movement and that campaign could presage a much more aggressive set of actions.Thank you to all our listeners who support the show as monthly members of Maximum Fun.Check out our I'm Glad You're Here and Depresh Mode merchandise at the brand new merch website MaxFunStore.com!Hey, remember, you're part of Depresh Mode and we want to hear what you want to hear about. Jon Herold's midweek show mixes sharp political commentary with humor as he covers the ongoing government shutdown, gold's record-breaking climb past $4,000, and James Comey's much-anticipated arraignment. He questions whether the shutdown even matters when nearly no one feels its effects, while calling out Congress for refusing to pass single-item funding bills. Jon highlights Trump's new endorsements, his deployment of National Guard units, and a declassified 1963 Robert F. Kennedy letter outlining presidential authority to use the militia, connecting it all to the Insurrection Act debate. He digs into Kash Patel's FBI reforms, Biden's defeat in the offshore drilling case, and the Senate Republicans' “nuclear option” confirming 107 Trump nominees. With wit, perspective, and his signature unfiltered delivery, Jon turns the day's biggest stories into smart, engaging analysis.
According to an investigation by The Verge, Google has allegedly been censoring searches involving "Donald Trump" and "dementia." The search engine no longer provides an AI summary, as it does for other searches, and instead says that this feature is not available. However, the AI summary shows up immediately when doing the same search for Joe Biden and possible dementia. The owners of Google were present at Trump's inauguration, so this isn't as surprising as you'd think - disgusting, yes, but not surprising.Multiple sources confirmed to The Washington Post that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are planning to force THOUSANDS of Pentagon employees to take polygraph tests so that they can try to find out who keeps leaking information. The irony, of course, is that all of their schemes to find leakers have been leaked to the press before they can even happen. Polygraph tests are unreliable to the point where they aren't even admissible in court, and the testing so far hasn't stopped any of the leaks or found any leakers. The Trump administration has ordered furloughed federal employees to set up "out of office" reply emails on their accounts during the government shutdown, and employees have been ORDERED to blame Democrats for the shutdown in their email messages. Staffers at multiple government agencies were given word-for-word scripts that they are to use, blaming Democrats in the Senate for the shutdown, even as Republicans control every single branch of the government. But polls already show the public is blaming Republicans for the shutdown. Two weeks ago, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. had the highest approval rating of any official in the Trump administration, sitting at a pathetic NEGATIVE four points. That was obviously still really bad, but still better than other officials in the administration. After his recent antics, however, he now has the LOWEST approval rating of any cabinet official. He managed to destroy his entire public image (the little bit that he had) in less than two weeks, and that is nothing short of amazing. Donald Trump had another major, unhinged meltdown on Truth Social on Thursday morning as he claimed that it was the Democrats who had gone "stone cold crazy." The man is completely off his rocker at this point, and all of his attacks on other people's sanity and intelligence is the most transparent projection we've ever seen.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! Was the Kirk memorial idolatry? Or inappropriate? Another story from the week was Robert F. The assassination of American Charlie Kirk has led much of our society to examine what a civilization is and to ask what creates a civilized society. Charlie Kirk was a strong and determined advocate for Judeo-Christian values, committed marriage, and the well-being of children and families. One of the most destructive moral influences upon American civilization was, and continues to be, Alfred Kinsey. In the span of his lifetime, Kinsey managed (with the aid of Deep State forces through the Intelligence services) to extensively upend the ethical forces that held in check baser human instincts. Civilization is in many ways the management of human appetites to maximize freedom for all members of the community. The mores of American culture in the 1940s, rooted in Judeo-Christian values, emphasized the respect and even sacredness of marriage, as well as the encouragement and affirmation of marital fidelity. Kinsey tore through these traditional values with a chainsaw—promoting promiscuity and declaring that if a sexual act could be physically performed, it was acceptable and natural. He included both adult sex with children, as well as sex with animals, in this definition. Kinsey's books: Sexual Behavior in the Human Male(1948), followed by Sexual Behavior in the Human Female (1953), included chapters purporting to prove the sexuality of infants and prepubescent children with charts documenting what he called children's orgasms. His sources for large portions of his data were predatory pedophiles, from whom Kinsey collected data for his hypotheses rather than reporting them to the authorities. These pedophiles, in turn, have been protected by the Kinsey Institute, a nonprofit affiliated with Indiana University. The data he collected from the sources he protected has continued to be locked away, supposedly to protect the privacy of the reporters who were abusing children. What an irony! That Kinsey, who advocates the removal of all boundaries upon sexuality, has one ironclad boundary of privacy protecting his research against the independent examination of the foundational sources of his data, including child abusers. Kinsey's work inspired Hugh Hefner and spawned the entire Playboy empire, leading to the explosion of pornography, pedophilia, and the hook-up culture so prevalent in America today, and shaking the civilizational foundation of marriage and family to its core. The unraveling of the American family has, in turn, fractured the foundations of our very civilization. Even worse, Kinsey encouraged sexual acts and engagement between adults and children, including infants. As we reported in our earlier column on Alfred Kinsey: The [Kinsey] institute contains, in its archives, the stories of hundreds, if not thousands, of acts of sexual abuse against children. Many of these accounts involve the physical rape of very small children. These reports include precise details of the children crying, resisting, and making other efforts to fend off their assailants. These details are included because Dr. Alfred Kinsey, the Father of the Sexual Revolution, believed in collecting detailed “scientific” accounts of every kind of sexual act between human beings, including violent sexual acts committed upon children by adults. On their official website, the Kinsey Institute denies that Kinsey and his colleagues hired, collaborated with, or persuaded people to carry out experiments on children. But Dr. Reisman's research and evidence, along with the evidence of others, prove otherwise. Furthermore, a 1995 Washington Post article reported: Yesterday, the director of the Kinsey Institute revealed that Kinsey's conclusions on the sexuality of young children were based not on scientific study but on the secret history of a single pedophile who kept a diary of his experiences with 317 pre-adolescent boys. The Kinsey Institute director in 1995 was John Bancroft, who “clarified” Kinsey's research approach at a press conference in Washington, DC, called by a Representative of Congress investigating Kinsey's methods of research, their legality, conclusions, and effects upon school curricula and American culture. Bancroft went on to declare that no one will ever know what happened to the children whose orgasms are reported in the Kinsey Tables in the Sexual Behavior of the Human Male. The Post article continued quoting Bancroft: “There was no contact with any of the boys by anyone at the institute, only with the man's notes,” he said. The institute “has never carried out sexual experiments on children.” As for the pedophile — who was not paid — he is catalogued at the Kinsey Institute under a pseudonym, which could be decoded but will not be if Bancroft has anything to do with it. “The man is long dead. He died around 1955,” the director said. The 50th Anniversary edition of the Sexual Behavior in the Human Female includes eighteen closely typed pages in justification and defense of Kinsey's work, written by the Director of the Institute at that time, John Bancroft. Kinsey believed in a concept he termed ‘total sexual outlet.' Bancroft declared: The fact that he [Kinsey] combined orgasms from six principal sources, masturbation, nocturnal emissions, heterosexual petting, heterosexual intercourse, homosexual relations, and intercourse with animals, to derive his ‘total sexual outlet,' in no way means that he regarded each of these sources of orgasm as of equal value in social or interpersonal or emotional terms, for either men or women. His lack of comment on the moral value of any form of sexual behavior was central to his non-judgmental approach, without which his long-running project, which he envisioned as continuing for many years longer than it did, would not have been viable. We regret that he made no such moral comparisons, because without them he describes sexual behavior in something of a moral vacuum which others have been quick to fill with their own interpretations of Kinsey's moral standpoint… Bancroft goes on to discuss critics of Kinsey's work. What he fails to observe is that in this vacuum, which he describes, many new liberties and assumptions were indeed taken, and many moral protections, however imperfect, which had been in place for generations for women and for all children (and for that matter, animals) were gravely weakened. Most egregiously, Kinsey declared in 1953 in Sexual Behavior in the Human Female: There are, of course, instances of adults who have done physical damage to children with whom they have attempted sexual contact… But these cases are in the minority, and the public should learn to distinguish such serious contacts from other adult contacts that are not likely to do the child any appreciable harm if the child's parents do not become disturbed. Our radio guest, Rhonda Miller, is CEO of Purple for Parents, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting children from the harmful agendas in government schools, from indoctrination to sexual grooming. She is leading members of her organization along with other international groups with shared goals to lobby in Washington, DC in order to finally have the Kinsey Institute and the institute's foundational sex research locked away within the institute fully investigated.
