Laying technical ground work for the anti-christ

Software engineer Jeremy Williamson warns that digital ID, surveillance technology, and centralized control over everyday technology are laying the groundwork for a system that could exclude dissenters from economic and social life. Age verification, he argues, is a "Trojan horse" for universal digital ID—tying identity to banking, communications, transportation, and essential services. COVID-era vaccine passports and frozen bank accounts during the Canadian trucker protests demonstrate how this infrastructure can be weaponized.Williamson connects these developments to Christian eschatology, warning that the technology being built could ultimately enable a "Beast system" in which those who refuse to comply are excluded. He urges Christians to reduce dependence on centralized systems: use cash, open-source software, older technology, maintain supplies, and build networks of like-minded people. The infrastructure is being laid. The question is whether Christians will recognize it before it is too late.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Friday, August 28th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Christian farmers are being targeted by Fulani Muslims For many Christian farmers in the Plateau State of Nigeria, traveling to their own farms has become dangerous, reports International Christian Concern. Some have stopped going altogether. Others now move in groups, hoping that numbers will offer some protection. But for families who depend on agriculture for survival, abandoning their land is not an easy choice.  The fear has grown following a series of attacks by armed men suspected to be Fulani Muslim militias which have targeted farmers traveling to and from their fields.  On July 30, according to Christian leader Joseph Yonkpa, 60-year-old Christian farmer Bulus Turu was “attacked and macheted while returning from his farm.”  At least 27 people have been killed in ambushes, many of whom were Christian farmers traveling to their farms.  Yohana Boh, a community leader, said, “We received early warning, but the Nigerian Army ignored it. We can't sleep. We can't farm. We're calling for help.” Send a polite, 4-sentence note to Lateef Kayode, the Nigerian Ambassador to America, asking him to urge his government to protect the Christian farmers there. Address your letter to the Nigerian Embassy, 3519 International Court, NW, Washington, DC 20008. You can find that address, and the spelling of the Nigerian Ambassador's name, in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Flash flood in Nepal killed 360 The deadly flash flood in Nepal on August 26th has killed 360 people and left 1,400 missing including 90 Americans, reports Weather.com. The flood was likely caused by a huge chunk of a glacier that broke off and temporarily dammed a river.  That may have led to the backed-up water surging downstream with enormous force a few hours later. In fact, water levels in rivers across the flood-affected region rose by as much as 29.5 feet in 30 minutes. The U.S. State Department said it is not aware of any U.S. deaths, but three Americans have been rescued. Hundreds have lost their homes across the Himalayan region, and officials reported large-scale damage to critical infrastructure, including hydropower dams, roads, buildings and bridges in the region. US Patriot missile stocks in Europe are ‘beyond critical' due to Iran war An unnamed U.S. defense official in Europe and an unnamed NATO official told the Associated Press that the U.S. military is experiencing a “beyond critical” shortage of advanced missile interceptors in Europe largely driven by President Donald Trump's war with Iran. This raises concerns about vulnerabilities in NATO countries to a potential Russian attack. The U.S. defense official said the most concerning shortfall involves Patriot missile interceptors, which can shoot down Russia's high-speed ballistic missiles. The NATO official confirmed the low inventories of Patriots among American and NATO forces in Europe. President Trump renames Lake Ontario to Lake America On August 27th, President Donald Trump said he is renaming Lake Ontario to be known as “Lake America” in the United States as he escalates his trade war with Canada, reports the Associated Press. The president signed an executive order directing the Interior Department to update the lake's name in the U.S. geographic naming service. Girl Scouts promotes Islam The Girl Scouts organization in America already has plunged neck-deep into transgenderism and abortion, with ideologies that support such leftist agendas. Now, the group is jumping into Islam, reports WorldNetDaily.com. An online report confirmed the Girls Scouts are offering "badges" that are earned by little girls when they visit mosques and learn the "Pillars of Islam." Not surprisingly, social media commenters were outraged. Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, tweeted, “Nothing says Girl Scouts of AMERICA like learning the pillars of Islam.” And another wrote, “Never buy Girl Scout cookies again.” According to a new investigation by Natalie Winters, the White House correspondent for Steve Bannon's War Room, she documented that, "Girl Scout troops across the U.S. are incorporating Islamic religious instruction, prayer and activities, [like wearing the hijab head covering and participating in the Ramadan fast] into scouting programs.” Winters reported, "Girl Scouts Heart of Central California knew about the Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims' religious integration years earlier. The council's 2009 annual report said that four troops with 30 girls began …  [incorporating] Girl Scouting into the mosque's youth programming. It highlighted a Ramadan sleepover involving fasting and girls 'praying through the night.'" The examples appear to involve individual troops and local councils rather than a nationwide requirement imposed on all Girl Scouts. However, there is a "nationwide pattern of Girl Scout troops based at mosques incorporating Islamic prayer, Quranic instruction, and lessons on hijab into activities conducted under the Girl Scouts banner." In Exodus 20:3, God said, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” And, to be sure, Allah, the Islamic god, is not the one true God. Mom banned from school after protesting push of sexual perversion And finally, an Oregon mother is suing Portland Public Schools for banning her from her children's elementary school for protesting its promotion of homosexual transgender “pride,” reports LifeSiteNews.com. The Oregonian reports that Allison Roberts, who has two children at Meriwether Lewis Elementary School, took issue with benches painted with “Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride” rainbow designs. She also objected to an assignment in which one of her kids was tasked with filling out an “identity flower” exercise including gender. After a meeting with school officials to discuss her concerns, she began distributing letters about the situation outside the school, leading to a “heated exchange” with one parent. That led to a one-year trespass order keeping her off the grounds ostensibly for “threatening and intimidating members of the school community” with “harmful, unlawful and/or disruptive behavior.” As a result, Roberts was forced to miss one of her children's graduations from elementary school. Now, she is suing to reverse the trespass order and secure her rights to engage in free speech about her children's education.  Mrs. Roberts should prayerfully consider pulling her children out of the pro-perversion government schools and homeschool them instead. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Catholic evangelist, former L.A. County police officer, and world police boxing champion Jesse Romero joins John-Henry Westen to answer the question on every faithful Catholic's mind: how do we survive the great apostasy in the Church?Romero urges Catholics to become "joyful warriors"—to stop allowing anxiety over popes, bishops, and controversies to consume their spiritual lives, and instead keep their eyes fixed on Jesus Christ. The first priority, he insists, is your own vocation, prayer life, sacramental life, and responsibility for getting your family to heaven.Addressing the SSPX controversy, Romero expresses sympathy for traditional Catholics who simply want access to the Traditional Latin Mass. He argues that Vatican II should be interpreted through Benedict XVI's "hermeneutic of continuity," and that progressive and modernist forces within the hierarchy are the central problem. He proposes that a future pope clarify ambiguous conciliar language rather than allowing a "hermeneutic of rupture" to prevail.Romero calls on Pope Leo XIV and the bishops to restore unrestricted access to the Latin Mass, discipline public dissent, improve catechesis, and prepare Catholics for persecution and suffering. His message is clear: the era of comfortable Catholicism is over. The faithful must become warriors—joyful, prayerful, and unshakable in their commitment to Christ. The apostasy is real. The response must be fidelity. And the victory is already won.If you like what you heard from Jesse Romero you can listen to him on youtube, subscribe to "The Jesse Romero Show."Also, Jesse Romero teaches along with Dr Dan Schneider online 'spiritual warfare classes' at the HolyLeagueinstitute.com. It's Monday, August 24th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Urge Chinese ambassador to allow Chinese pastor to come to U.S. ChinaAid, an international group supporting persecuted Christians inside China, has launched a petition and advocacy campaign to bring Pastor John Cao back to his home in the U.S, reports International Christian Concern. Pastor John has been imprisoned in China for seven years for his missionary work on the China-Myanmar border, helping establish 16 schools that serve thousands of local children and families. While he was “released” in 2024, he is still blocked from returning to the United States, where his wife and sons -- all of whom are American citizens -- live. To make matters worse, Pastor John now has advanced prostate cancer, and his situation is even more critical. ChinaAid's campaign and petition, which I've signed, call for Pastor John's immediate release, particularly urging President Donald Trump to personally raise his situation in his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 24th. Write a polite and urgent 4-sentence note to the Chinese Ambassador to America, Xie Feng, urging him to persuade Chinese President Jinping to release Pastor John Cao so he can reunite with his wife and children here in America. Send it to the Chinese Embassy, 3505 International Place NW, Washington, DC 20008. You can find that address in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Wolves in White Coats: How doctors profited from “gender medicine” Appearing on Epoch TV, Admiral Brian Christine, who serves as the Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary, discussed a disturbing new report entitled “Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of so-called ‘Gender Medicine.'” He laid significant blame on the Biden administration and his predecessor, a man born Richard Levine in 1957, who pretended to be a woman named “Rachel.” CHRISTINE: “The gender ideology pushed on the American people, and these unfortunate children, by the Biden administration, the last administration, and by my predecessor ‘Rachel' Levine, he really pushed gender ideology on the country and even suggested removing age limitations on performing mutilating surgeries or castrating chemicals.” Admiral Christine defined what a sex-rejecting procedure was. CHRISTINE: “Sex rejecting procedures: What we mean is either castrating chemicals, cross-sex hormones, or even surgeries to change the external appearance of the body. These mutilating surgeries that don't do anything to change gender, but radically change the appearance of the body, and can certainly have complications along the way.” He revealed the alarming number of surgeries that were tragically performed on confused minors. CHRISTINE: “From 2019 up to 2023, $120 million spent on sex-rejecting procedures in this country. Over 5,500 surgeries, sex-rejecting surgeries on minors.” Not surprisingly, fraud abounded. CHRISTINE: “There was $11 million billed for ‘precocious' puberty in kids who were 13 to 17 years old. That's not precocious puberty. That's just puberty!” The financial incentive for the ethically-challenged doctors is obvious. CHRISTINE: “If you take a child who has gender dysphoria and you get them to agree to sex-rejecting procedures, you've created a patient for life. So, there can be a tremendous financial incentive for these practitioners and these clinics to have these patients who come back again and again and again.” Psalm 82:4 says, “Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” ‘Influencer' tries to justify her 26-week abortion A social media fitness and lifestyle influencer in Australia with 480,000 followers, named Danielle Mitchell, has publicly documented the details of her abortion at 26 weeks after discovering her baby had severe defects and might have died before birth, reports LifeSiteNews.com. MITCHELL: “We had our fetal medicine growth scan today. And they also had our results for the amnio[centesis], the chromosomal abnormalities, and some new findings on her brain, being that she won't survive.” She went viral for sharing a video on X in which she explains that she had scheduled an abortion. Oddly enough, she entitled it, “Our sweet baby girl goes to sleep with the angels today at 26 weeks.” Through tears, she said this. MITCHELL: “I feel like I'm at peace with my decision. I didn't know how late-term terminations work. “You lay on a bed, awake, and they have doctors and midwives in the room. Under ultrasound, [they put] a needle into the baby's heart, and inject it to stop it from beating. And then you slowly feel all the movements stop from the baby.  No more kicks. Get sent home for another 24 hours, back up to the hospital, and they induce you, and give birth to a sleeping baby.” Mitchell became extremely emotional, saying that she needed to “let out” the grief before she explained to her young daughter that her baby would not be here anymore. MITCHELL: “Baby sister is gonna go live in the clouds today with Nanny Sandy. Okay?” DAUGHTER: “I love you.” MITCHELL: “I love you too, baby. Cuddle?” DAUGHTER: (giggles) On X, Mitchell's video of herself explaining the abortion was shared without the context of the child's condition. She was lambasted there in a flurry of outrage, while on her Instagram page she was met with more sympathy by followers who perceived that she felt she had “no choice” and was sparing her baby suffering overall. Some social media users pointed out that the diagnoses and prognoses of doctors for unborn children are frequently false. LifeSiteNews noted, “A high likelihood that a baby will not survive birth is never a justification for the direct killing of innocent life.” In response, veteran pro-life activist Frank Pavone shared a prayer for women considering abortion, and for the protection of unborn children. He wrote, “Dear Lord, send Your heavenly angels to women thinking about abortion. Protect their unborn children, soften the hearts of their parents, and open their eyes to the truth that abortion takes an innocent human life. Amen.” Young brothers address science and the Bible And finally, Beau, age 11, and Gray Reusch, age 8, are young brothers who have gone viral on social media for creating Christian faith and apologetics content through their family's brand, Armor Up Kids. Their father is Will Reusch, the founder of Armor Up Academy. In one of their videos, they explore the Bible and science. GREY: “People say, ‘It's Bible versus science.'” BEAU: “But what if they've been saying the same thing the whole time?” GREY: “Watch this.” BEAU: “I'm Beau.” GREY: “And I'm Grey.” BEAU AND GREY: “Let's show you something crazy!” GREY: “The Bible says a grateful heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17:22.” BEAU: “Science says gratitude reduces depression and improves mental health.” GREY:  “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That's Romans 12:2.” BEAU: “Science calls that, here we go, neuroplasticity. It means your brain can literally change.” GREY: “Jesus said some things only come from prayer and fasting. That's Matthew 17:21.” BEAU: “Science says fasting helps your body heal and reset itself. It's called cellular autophagy. And it actually won the Nobel Prize.” GREY: “But a peaceful heart gives life, but envy rots the bones. That's Proverbs 14:30.” BEAU: “Science shows anger increases disease and stress in your body.” GREY: “Sing and make music for the Lord. That's Ephesians 5:19.” BEAU: “Science says music releases dopamine and reduces stress.” GREY: “So, the Bible isn't outdated.” BEAU: “It's ahead of its time.” GREY: “God designed your mind …” BEAU: “and science is just catching up.” GREY AND BEAU: “So, it's not Bible versus science. It's truth confirming truth! ” GREY: “Don't ignore what God already said.” BEAU: “You might be missing what actually works.” Psalm 111:2 says, "Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them." Sister Loretta-Maria, a traditional Carmelite nun working to establish a new monastery in High Springs, Florida, joins John-Henry Westen to discuss the crisis facing the Church and the response of faithful Catholics who refuse to abandon tradition. She explains how the traditional Carmelite structure preserves the spirituality and practices handed down by St. Teresa of Avila, navigates present confusion with the support of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, and commits to contemplative prayer for priests and bishops. The conversation turns to the division between faithful shepherds and those she describes as "queer-minded bishops", a distinction she uses to highlight the growing conflict over homosexuality, Pope Leo XIV's direction, and the suppression of the Traditional Latin Mass. Sister Loretta-Maria argues that Catholics must remain obedient to God, Sacred Tradition, and authentic Catholic teaching—even when contemporary authorities demand the contrary. She describes the suppression of traditional Catholic practices as a form of modern-day "white martyrdom". She urges Catholics to pray, defend the faith, raise strong Catholic families, and preserve the Latin Mass. She also calls for the Pope and the world's bishops to consecrate Russia specifically to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, arguing that Russia's conversion remains the promised sign that Our Lady's request has been fulfilled.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! Catholic author and podcaster Timothy Gordon joins John-Henry Westen for a wide-ranging conversation on feminism, traditional Catholic marriage, and the crisis of authority in the Church. Gordon draws from the Roman Catechism to argue that modern Catholics have become uncomfortable with traditional teachings on male headship and wifely obedience. He discusses his documentary What a Woman Is, the "Diaper Gate" controversy, and the backlash his positions have received, including from women who support his arguments. They then turn to the death penalty, where Gordon challenges recent Catholic teaching restricting capital punishment. He traces the decisive break to changes under Pope John Paul II, arguing that the traditional justification rests on retributive justice, not merely preventing future crimes. They also talk about Pope Leo XIV, the "seamless garment" approach to pro-life issues, Amoris Laetitia, and the difficulty Catholics face when contemporary papal teaching appears to conflict with previous doctrine. Gordon concludes by encouraging Catholics to remain faithful to ordinary Catholic life—leading their families, attending Mass, and going frequently to confession, amid what he describes as an exceptionally dark period for the Church. The crisis is real. The response is fidelity. And the ordinary means of grace are the only way through.GET THE BOOK HERE: https://sophiainstitute.com/product/catholic-republic/Help Us Make the Catholic Republic Documentary: https://www.givesendgo.com/catholicrepublicHELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, August 17th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus U.S. missionary freed after 9 months captivity from Niger, Africa On August 14th, Kevin Rideout, a 50-year-old American missionary who was kidnapped in Niger, Africa last October, was released and will be reunited with his extended family, reports ABC News. According to Serving In Mission International, an evangelical mission agency which works in 70 countries, 98% of the population in Niger is Muslim. The mission group said Rideout is “in good health in the care of U.S. officials” and that his wife, Krista, and the rest of his family “are profoundly grateful for the prayers offered on their behalf by people around the world throughout his captivity.” Psalm 135:3 says, "Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good.” Rideout was kidnapped outside his home in Niamey, Niger on October 21, 2025 by three gunmen.  Christian persecution has especially increased in Niger, Africa since 2023 after a military coup led by General Omar Tiani, head of the presidential guard unit, deposing democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum.  After that coup, Niger's new military regime switched its alliances, choosing to start working with Russia and turning against Western allies. Indeed, the new regime ousted Western partners On Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote, “I am proud to announce that Kevin Rideout, a wonderful Christian missionary, is back in United States custody. Kevin was kidnapped by Jihadi terrorists in West Africa — the epicenter of Islamist terrorism, where there have been more deadly attacks in the past year than anywhere else on Earth. Kevin, the United States of America looks forward to welcoming you HOME. Glad to have helped!” The full details surrounding Rideout's release are unclear. According to the Christian Broadcasting Network, the news comes the same week as the U.S. secured the release of another American, Robert Gilman, who had been held captive by Russia for four years. Gilman's health was failing in prison, and the U.S. and his family said he had been falsely accused and held by the Russian regime for political purposes. Earthquake hit Indonesia A magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook eastern Indonesia early Saturday, killing at least five people and touching off dozens of aftershocks, one measuring magnitude 6.1, reports the Christian Post. Flores island's Sikka Regency, which is part of East Nusa Tenggara Province, was the most affected area, where officials reported the earthquake's five deaths and several injuries. (Sikka Regency is a coastal district on the northeastern shore of Flores with a population of 346,000 spread over 647 square miles.) This Indonesian earthquake comes on the heels of an earthquake in Columbia on August 10th which killed 288 people and another earthquake in Venezuela on June 24th which killed 6,125 people. Please pray that God would comfort the families whose loved ones were killed in these three natural disasters. Dressed as Muslim, James O'Keefe exposes how MN enables voter fraud Investigative reporter James O'Keefe with the O'Keefe Media Group has exposed how Minnesota enables voter fraud by allowing registered voters to “vouch” for up to eight people living in the same precinct who are not registered to vote, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Dressed as a Muslim and accompanied by Cam Higby, who wore a burka, O'Keefe visited polls across Minneapolis and “presented an intentionally extreme scenario to expose the sheer lunacy of Minnesota's ‘vouching' system,” he explained on X.  O'KEEFE: “In Minnesota, you can show up on election day and vouch for up to eight unregistered voters. Members of the Justice League dress up in traditional Muslim attire and put this vouching law to an extreme test on primary day, August 11.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “The vouching?” POLL WORKER: “They're vouching for you?” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “I vouch for them.” POLL WORKER: “Oh.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “Is that okay?” POLL WORKER: “Yes!” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “How does that work?” POLL WORKER: “Well, if you're all in the same precinct.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “Yes.” POLL WORKER: “And you are already registered, which looks like you are, then you, you can vouch for them, as ID for them.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “Oh, good.” KEEFE: “I say they do not need ID. She says, ‘You are the ID.' ANOTHER UNDERCOVER PERSON: “He is the ID.” KEEFE: “I am the ID.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “And no ID needed. I just vouch for them.” POLL WORKER: “You're the ID.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “I am the ID. That's good. How many people may I vouch for?” POLL WORKER: “Eight.” UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “Eight? I can vouch for eight people?” POLL WORKER: “Mm-mm.” (Nodding affirmatively) UNDERECOVER KEEFE: “Eight people. No ID. We come right back. Thank you.” Poll workers explained to him “again and again” that the people accompanying him did not need to present ID to vote as long as he vouched for them and that he could vouch for up to eight precinct residents. O'Keefe explained that this is all legal in the state, citing Minnesota Statute § 201.061 which says, “A registered voter can sign an affidavit affirming that they know another individual resides in the same precinct, allowing that person to register at the polls without presenting standard proof of residence. One registered voter can vouch for up to eight people.” Liberty Counsel urges President Trump to end mail-order abortion And finally, Liberty Counsel Action sent a letter to President Donald Trump and senior federal officials urging the administration to reverse the Biden-era policy of allowing mail-order abortion. The letter is an advocacy measure stating Abortion Kill Pills prescribed through the mail, without an in-person medical visit, endangers women, weakens state pro-life protections, and strips numerous other health and safety measures, the group explained. Under Biden, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration removed the requirement for an in-person clinic visit for the prescription of abortion pills, and the Department of Justice nullified enforcement of the federal Comstock Act of 1873, allowing abortion drugs to be sent through the mail. Since the removal of in-person visits and unfettered mail-order access, data shows the rate of severe complications from chemical abortions, between 2017 and 2023, rose by 13 percent. In his Faith and Freedom podcast, Liberty Counsel President Mat Staver said this. STAVER: “You can get these abortion drugs tele-med without ever seeing a doctor. Used to be that you needed to see a doctor at the very beginning, then you would get the prescription. Then, if you took the drug, you had to see a doctor as a follow-up because you could have complications. Now, there's no in-person visit before or after, and you can get this by tele-med. So, it's become very dangerous.” Liberty Counsel Action recommended “the immediate revocation of the Biden-era policy permitting the mailing of abortifacient drugs, whether by restoring the FDA's pre-Biden abortion pill safety protocols, enforcing of the Comstock Act, or both.” President Trump has previously declared that the states must determine their own abortion laws. In the letter, Liberty Counsel Action also advocated for that stated position noting that “abortion policy should be left to the states,” and pro-life state laws should not be “undermined by out-of-state providers illegally mailing abortion drugs across state lines.” The current policy has “stripped away vital safeguards” leading to numerous health risks, such as:  An inability to verify gestational age whereby pills can be dispensed beyond the FDA's 10-week gestational limit where complications are significantly higher. An inability to effectively diagnose ectopic pregnancies that can easily be mistaken as the effects of the abortion pill, which left untreated, could lead to maternal death. An inability to verify age, leading to potential abuse of minors and violations of parental rights. An inability to detect forced or coerced abortions from abusive partners, traffickers, or family members. Beyond the potential harm to the mothers, the Abortion Kill Pill, which is now used in at least 63% of all abortions, takes the life of the innocent baby. Proverbs 24:11 says, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter." Send a polite, 3-sentence letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche, urging him to prohibit the abortion industry from sending the dangerous Abortion Kill Pills in the mail. Dr. Pat Castle is an Air Force colonel, a PhD chemist, and the founder of LIFE Runners. He is also a man on a mission: to wake up the Church and kick pro-life Christians into high gear.Castle joins John-Henry Westen to discuss true femininity, God-given identity, and the importance of obedience to God's plan. Modern confusion surrounding sex and gender, he argues, comes from rejecting the biological and theological reality of male and female. Authentic freedom and happiness come from embracing the identity, mission, and vocation given to each person by God.But faith cannot remain private. Castle invites viewers to take that faith into the public square through LIFE Runners' upcoming A-Cross America Relay for Pro-Life, a nationwide witness running from September 4 through October 25. Participants will walk and run across the country wearing "REMEMBER The Unborn" shirts, praying outside abortion facilities, and carrying the pro-life message through cities and communities.LEARN MORE and use promo code LIFER to register for free! http://liferunners.org/acrossHELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Friday, August 14th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus India's March for Life draws 5,000 India's fifth National March for Life was held on August 8 and 9 in the city of Chennai, drawing a crowd of 5,000 people eager to proclaim the dignity of human life, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Cardinal Anthony Poola, president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India, was present at the march and delivered a powerful pro-life address. He said, “Pro-life is the most important mission to be carried out in our dioceses, congregations and institutions. If we do not act now, we may soon be left with institutions – but without people. … Do not be afraid. The Catholic Church in India stands with you to fight for the right to life of every unborn child.” Emma Magdalene of LifeSiteNews.com added, “The number one cause of death today is not COVID, cancer, or even any war. It's abortion. The World Health Organization reports that over 73 million abortions take place globally every year. What a heartbreaking reality.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Democratic presidential frontrunner Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York is now the frontrunner to become the 2028 Democratic presidential nominee, according to Polymarket odds, marking the first time she has led the pack, reports The Independent. As of Wednesday evening, 21 percent of traders backed the New York leftist, who was trailed by Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom at 17 percent. On rival prediction site Kalshi, the results were the same, with Ocasio-Cortez narrowly topping Newsom. Meanwhile, conventional political polls still put former Vice President Kamala Harris at the top spot, with Newsom in second, and Cortez in a distant fourth. Luigi Mangione expected to plead guilty to assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Luigi Mangione is expected to plead guilty today, August 14th, in his federal case tied to his alleged execution of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson — in an apparent bid to dodge a life sentence, reports the New York Post. The 28-year-old accused killer — who is set to appear at a morning hearing in Manhattan federal court — is charged in the federal case with two counts of stalking resulting in death stemming from his alleged December 2024 cold-blooded murder of the powerful executive on a Manhattan sidewalk. Mangione would still likely face a potential life sentence if he were to plead guilty in federal court, but would hope that U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett doles out a lesser sentence. The heir of a wealthy Maryland family led authorities on a dramatic five-day manhunt before local cops in Altoona, Pennsylvania finally nabbed him while he munched on breakfast at a local McDonald's. (Look at raw bodycam footage: Scroll to the :52 mark) Prosecutors say he plotted the shocking killing to make a violent political statement, leaving behind bullet casings at the crime scene with the words “delay” and “deny” etched into them — echoing a phrase insurers allegedly use to describe dodging paying out claims. Christian weatherman's prayers on-air for safety in San Antonio And finally, San Antonio, Texas-based meteorologist Bill Taylor on KENS-5 TV, a media colleague of mine, went viral for praying live on air on July 15th for the people of the Texas Hill Country who were facing an imminent tornado on the ground. During continuous, commercial-free coverage, he said this. TAYLOR: “You look at the time of day and there are just a lot of people that would be traveling in this area, traveling to work — Saint Hedwig, China Grove, right over Highway 87, right at [Loop] 1604. A number of motorists here. “So, Lord, I pray for protection. God, your sovereignty is what we lean into in moments like this, that drivers stay aware, stay alert. That you give them wisdom. Bless these drivers with wisdom. Keep them safe. Put angels around them of protection as they travel. Thank you, Lord. We're just going to get you home safely.” Later, Taylor offered this prayer. TAYLOR: “Praying for these people in the path of this storm that Lord God, your sovereignty would be here. That You, Lord, would protect everyone in the path of this storm. That You would give wisdom and clarity for families to seek shelter. That these plans would enact now. That people would reach out to those people in this affected area to give them the warning they need. In Your holy name, protect us, Lord.” In a follow-up interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Bill Taylor explained what was going through his mind at the time. TAYLOR: “This could be a tornado on the ground at any second, and it was impacting a densely populated area. And knowing the sensitivity of the Hill Country flooding that took more than 100 lives a year ago, knowing how destructive a tornado can be, it just truly came out of the Holy Spirit within me to start praying in that moment for protection, for His sovereignty, for people to be clear and wise enough to seek shelter. “When we're in continuous coverage, there's no producer prompting me. There's no script in weather ever, even on a routine day. We're on our own. We're doing a PowerPoint presentation based on our slides that we put together. We're our own producers. The only time that somebody's in my ear is to tell me how much time I have left. “Well, when we have life-threatening weather, we're on till it's over. We stay on — commercial-free — until it's over. And it's on all platforms between broadcast, then our stream channel, Facebook, YouTube. “And when it happened, the Spirit of God came over me and said, ‘Pray!' Praise God that He delivered, as He always does. He's faithful, and we were protected from what could have been a lot worse.” CBN's Tré Phillips asked about what lesson Christian viewers could glean. PHILLIPS: “So, what would you say to those of us who want to be, like you were, more attuned to that still, small prompting of the Holy Spirit?” TAYLOR: “To do it. Take that step and be obedient to it, because it truly is the hands and feet, the body of Christ. You get that prompting, and when that obedience flows, this is God in action. “'Wherever two or more gather in My name, I shall be there.' (Matthew 18:20) That's why He uses us in this body of Christ, and that the Holy Spirit dwells within us to prompt us in those moments.” 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God gave us a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control.” Send Bill Taylor a 3-sentence email to btaylor@kens5.com, thanking him for boldly praying live on the air for the safety of people in the Texas Hill Country. Or send him a physical letter. This would be a great project for your kids! Bill Taylor, KENS 5 TV, 5400 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78229. f the SSPX had consecrated 30 to 50 bishops, Rome would have been forced to negotiate. That is the assessment of Professor William Thomas, a Vatican theologian and classmate of Pope Leo XIV, who argues that the Society's recent consecrations, while historic, did not go far enough to compel the Vatican to take the traditionalist movement seriously.Thomas praises the traditional liturgy and warns that suppressing the Latin Mass will not resolve the underlying doctrinal disputes. The crisis is not liturgical; it is doctrinal. And the Vatican's response to the SSPX reveals a hierarchy more interested in punishment than dialogue. The conversation turns to the synodal project, which Thomas sharply criticizes for its plans to involve non-Christian religions in its implementation. Synodality, he argues, is fundamentally incompatible with the Church's divine mandate to evangelize. It replaces apostolic tradition with ambiguity, a new religion of process rather than truth.Make the switch today to iCatholicMobile today!iCatholic Mobile—supporting the Catholic faith with every connection.https://www.facebook.com/icatholicmobile https://www.icatholicmobile.com/ HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, August 10th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Sudanese armed executed pastor and 6 others extrajudicially A pastor in Sudan's Nuba Mountains was executed extrajudicially, along with six other people, after members of an armed faction arrested him at his church residence in the town of Heban, reports The Christian Post. The Rev. Adil Jangoul, of the Sudanese Episcopal Church, was detained on July 23 inside the church compound in Heban's Erie neighborhood, where he lived, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide. Members of the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement-North, an armed group in the region, seized his money and arrested him without incident. However, his body was later found on a road alongside those of six other people, all from the Otoro ethnic group, most of whom are Christian. All seven had been killed in extrajudicial executions. Christian Solidarity Worldwide President Mervyn Thomas said he was deeply troubled by the rising bloodshed, some of it apparently ethnically motivated. He called the killings especially perplexing because the Nuba Mountains had long been a place of peaceful co-existence, even through Sudan's dictatorship and the civil war. Send a polite, 3-sentence note to the Sudanese Ambassador to America, Mohamed Idris, asking that their government do more to protect the Sudanese Christians. Send it to: 2210 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008 or email: consular@sudanembassy.org. James 4:17 says, “So whoever knows the right thing to do, and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” Senate Confirms Todd Blanche as Attorney General President Donald Trump's nominee for attorney general, Todd Blanche, was confirmed in a late night vote in the Senate after a handful of fellow Republicans reconsidered their opposition, reports The Epoch Times. Blanche was confirmed in a 50–49 vote in the early hours of August 8th, with Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska voting in opposition. The deciding vote was cast by GOP Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who announced on Friday that he believed Blanche was the best option that Trump would put forward. GOP Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky did not vote because he is still recuperating from an illness. Fauci subpoenaed by 3 GOP AGs for profiting from COVID guidance Following two disastrous U.S. Senate hearings in as many weeks and publication of his personal diary, Dr. Anthony Fauci has now been subpoenaed by three Republican state attorneys general seeking to determine whether he personally profited from guidance he issued during the COVID-19 pandemic, reports LifeSiteNews.com. While President Joe Biden gave the COVID kahuna a blanket pardon stretching from 2014 to the final day of his presidency, that pardon protects Fauci only from federal prosecution, leaving him exposed to potential legal actions from the states.  Last Wednesday, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that his state has teamed up with West Virginia and Louisiana to investigate “awards, professional opportunities, financial incentives, grants, and COVID-19 guidance that impacted Florida businesses and consumers.” Uthmeier said that Fauci's diaries “detail substantial awards” connected to the Sunshine State, including a $900,000 Dan David Foundation prize. The Florida Attorney General also cited other troubling ways Fauci may have personally profited from his handling of COVID, such as “offers of named professorships and book deals, board positions, private foundation partnerships, and other professional and financial opportunities concurrent with his federal role and public recommendations impacting Florida.”  The once self-proclaimed “most famous scientist in the world” who obtained secular sainthood status during the pandemic has faced a sudden reversal of fortune this summer. In the words of Victor Davis Hanson, “The Fauci files reveal not just a sociopathic narcissist but also a pathological schizophrenic.” And Fox News host Laura Ingraham alleged that during his time as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022, Fauci was “a liar, a megalomaniac, a phony, and a total narcissist all rolled into one.” Senator Fetterman takes issue with anti-Israel Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Appearing on CNN, Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, one of the few Democrats who supports Israel, took issue with Abdul El-Sayed, the newly selected Muslim Democratic nominee to the U.S. Senate from Michigan. Listen. FETTERMAN: “I can't come together with someone if you are willing to embrace people that that loves Hamas or that thinks America deserved 9/11. I think that's reasonable. I think that's the reasonable view. That's not a big tent situation. There are things that are unacceptable to have these views as a Democrat, I think.” Inspiring CEO gives company to charity after working 58 years And finally, Grady-White Boats market their 18 to 45-foot-long vessels as the “finest boats ever crafted” which is quite the statement. For 58 years, Eddie Smith Jr., Grady-White's ex-CEO, worked 80-100 hour workweeks to salvage the near-bankrupt boat builder and turn it into a 9-figure revenue generator that will now power philanthropy in perpetuity, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. That's because Smith turned down multiple offers around half a billion dollars in order to pass controlling stakes in Grady-White Boats to a “purpose trust” that will operate it according to his values and convert its bottom line into community service, conservation, and other philanthropic causes. Profiled by Fortune Magazine, Smith said he was inspired by entrepreneurs like Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, who also turned the brand into a financial engine for conservation. He said, “I just think that those of us that are fortunate enough to be in a position to help others…It's really a gift to me to be able to do what I do.” Born to a father who was orphaned at age 10 during the Great Depression, Smith Jr. grew up near the poverty line. The first break was when his father worked enough odd jobs to start a mail order business. The son, who remembers eating SPAM 3 times a week, then lied about his age to get a job on a paper route, before becoming the first in his family to graduate from college at the University of North Carolina in 1965. Finding Grady-White Boats in a near-bankrupt state, Smith Jr., who described himself as having an “entrepreneurial itch” to prove himself, borrowed some money and took over the business, forsaking golf, his favorite pastime, for over 30 years. Today, revenues average over $100 million per year. When he was given an award known as the Order of the Tar Heel, the highest honor in North Carolina by the state's Labor Commissioner, Eddie Smith was characteristically humble. Listen. SMITH: “Any honor that I am fortunate enough to receive, I receive on behalf of all these wonderful people. You're looking out right there at some of the best craftsmen and most dedicated workers, not only in North Carolina, but I would say in the world. Any accolades that come my way come my way because of them and what they've accomplished here at Grady White.” 1 Peter 5:6 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 10th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Father David Nix joins John-Henry Westen to explain each position fairly and urge traditional Catholics to resist the bitter infighting that has become all too common. The divisions are real. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Tanzanian Christians worried about Muslim threats In several Muslim-majority communities along Tanzania's coast in eastern Africa along the Indian Ocean, small Christian churches continue to worship under growing pressure, with pastors and congregations describing intimidation, disruption, and insecurity, reports International Christian Concern. For many believers in Zanzibar and parts of coastal Tanzania, where 99 percent of the population is Muslim, church leaders say some congregations have experienced threats, harassment, and occasional attacks.  One pastor said, “When a church is threatened, it is not only a building that is affected. People begin to fear even the simple act of coming together to pray. Mothers worry about bringing their children, and some believers spend the entire service looking over their shoulders instead of worshipping freely.” Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Tanzania. Trump, Hegseth clashed over missile depletion concerns President Donald Trump's frustration over the Iran war boiled over at Camp David last week, where he demanded answers from War Secretary Pete Hegseth on why he had apparently been misled on extreme munitions shortages that now threaten to limit military options with Iran, reports The Washington Post. President Trump vented at Hegseth that he thought the munitions issue “had been fixed.”  The shortages, particularly in long-range guided missiles and air-defense interceptors, have been part of the reason President Trump has pulled back from launching additional massive strikes against Iran in recent days. Senate Republicans hold Dr. Fauci in contempt of Congress Senate Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in contempt of Congress after he declined to answer lawmakers' questions during a fiery hearing last week, reports NBC News. Fauci, who has been a target of the right since he served as a top health official during the Covid pandemic, invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times during the hearing, explaining in his opening remarks that he believed Republicans would try to use his testimony to prosecute him. However, Fauci had been given a full and unconditional pardon by President Joe Biden before he left office on January 19, 2025. In an 8-5 party-line vote, Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held Fauci in contempt. Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, the committee chair, said, “We are voting on whether a witness who has received the benefit of a sweeping federal pardon can be ordered by this committee to answer questions and then defy that order without consequence.” He added, “I ordered him to answer and warned him about contempt, yet he still refused. That is obstruction of a congressional investigation.” The committee can refer the contempt of Congress resolution directly to the Justice Department or request that Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota hold a full Senate vote. Senator Paul said the committee would hand-deliver the referral to the Justice Department. Contempt of Congress is a criminal misdemeanor offense punishable by up to a $100,000 fine and one year in jail. Proverbs 18:12 says, “Before a downfall, the heart is haughty …” In an impromptu press conference, Senator Paul insisted that Dr. Fauci be held accountable for the COVID-19 pandemic. PAUL: “A million Americans died, and I think they deserve to know the truth. Anthony Fauci has advocated for dangerous gain-of-function research for two decades now. The question ‘why' is not a question that he can have liability for. “He was given a pardon. Interestingly, the pardon starts in 2014. That's when the funding of the lab in Wuhan, [China] started. So, I think he should answer questions. As far as pleading the Fifth [Amendment] when you have a pardon, all you have to do is tell the truth, just not commit a new crime. So, I think the American people do deserve to know this. “This is the same Anthony Fauci who said, in a Washington Post op-ed in 2011, even if a pandemic should start from a lab, if someone's bitten in a lab or the virus escapes the lab, that the knowledge would be worth the risks. I don't think many Americans believe that! “This deserves to be thoroughly, exhaustively debated, so we don't do this again.” Christian congressman: Dr. Fauci under divine judgment Appearing with Fox News Host Brian Kilmeade on July 27th, Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee talked about the recent revelations from Dr. Anthony Fauci's pandemic-era diary entries which showed a fixation on his own "explosive" fame, reports The Christian Post. KILMEADE: “Congressman, we saw this, but now we can read this. What changes about how this guy is perceived once and for all?” BURCHETT: “I think his arrogance shows. The Bible talks about professing themselves to be wise; they became fools. We closed down mom-and-pop operations. Jewish and Christian fellowships were shut down. The big boys were allowed to stay open. This thing was a disaster from the start, and we celebrated this guy, [meaning Fauci].” The phrase from Romans 1:22-28, which is part of the Apostle Paul's larger indictment against the pagan world, describes the corruption and prideful self-delusion that afflicts the minds of those who reject God. The refusal to worship God leads to a litany of self-destructive sins that ends with God abandoning individuals and societies "to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.” Southwest Airlines blocks ICE from detaining illegal aliens on 6 flights Firm in the belief that immigration enforcement is bad for business, Southwest Airlines is pushing back hard against efforts to detain illegal immigrants at U.S. airports, reports The Western Journal. A report from the Wall Street Journal highlights a July 25 incident in which an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent tried to board a Southwest Airlines jet in Dallas. The agent was prevented from carrying out his duties by Southwest Airlines. The Dallas-based airline staff also refused to share passenger information with ICE. In recent weeks, a half-dozen other incidents involving Southwest have taken place. The incidents occur as ICE has been broadening their efforts to arrest illegal aliens at airports. Write a polite, 3-sentence letter of complaint to Southwest Airlines President Bob Jordan. Send it to: 2702 Love Field Drive, Dallas, TX 75235. Planned Parenthood sues Trump over denial of Title X funding And finally, Planned Parenthood is suing the Trump administration to challenge updated Title X funding guidelines issued earlier this year that could render the abortion giant ineligible for so-called “family planning” grants, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In April, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services issued updated guidelines for Title X applications, which drop contraception promotion in favor of “natural family planning methods,” tout an objective to “strengthen family formation and assist clients in achieving healthy pregnancies,” and require applicants to reject abortion as a method of family planning. The new standards threaten to disqualify longtime Title X recipients such as Planned Parenthood. As a result, the nation's largest abortion chain announced on July 29 that it is suing the Trump administration over them. Isaiah 59:7 describes the abortion giant to a “t.” “Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Desolation and destruction mark their ways.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, August 7th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Pope Leo XIV has been connected to communist affiliated organizations. Michael Hitchborn of the Lepanto Institute joins John-Henry Westen to examine the evidence and ask the question that faithful Catholics are demanding: how does this square with the Pope's duty to defend the faith?Hitchborn revisits his investigation into Pope Leo's past associations and discusses the Vatican's response to public controversies involving pro-abortion politicians. He argues that longstanding Church teaching on Canon 915, which bars those in grave sin from receiving Holy Communion, has been undermined in favor of a politically driven "seamless garment" approach to pro-life issues. Pope Leo XIV met publicly with Anglican leader Sarah Mullally, accepting her blessing and addressing her according to episcopal protocol. Anthony Stine argues the gesture was not merely ecumenical. It has potentially serious legal and ecclesial consequences.Stine contends that by treating Mullally as a legitimate archbishop, the Vatican has unintentionally strengthened arguments from European activists who claim the Catholic Church's all-male priesthood constitutes unlawful gender discrimination. American legal protections for religious autonomy do not exist in Europe, where equality laws are increasingly applied to religious institutions. France and the European Union present a particularly vulnerable legal environment.Stine argues that debates over the SSPX, the Latin Mass, Marian doctrine, and recent Vatican documents are not about liturgical preferences, they are about preserving Catholic doctrine itself. What Church History REVEALS About Leo's Pontificate: Burke, Mariam & Schneider's Analysis

Mother Miriam, Bishop Schneider, and Cardinal Burke all maintain that Pope Leo XIV is the legitimate pope, despite criticizing aspects of his teaching. But church historian Ed Mazza argues that the more fundamental question is whether the current pope is truly a valid pope at all.Drawing on Church history, councils, theologians, and papal writings, Mazza contends that the Catholic Church has consistently taught that a pope cannot officially teach heresy through the Church's magisterium. Accepting the idea of a pope promulgating doctrinal error while remaining pope creates a theological contradiction. Historical debates over heretical popes and antipopes are not abstract; they are precedents.Looking at historical examples of saints, bishops, and lay Catholics confronting suspected antipopes and heresy: St. Columba, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Vincent Ferrer. Church history demonstrates that faithful Catholics have sometimes publicly challenged ecclesiastical authorities when they believed the faith was endangered, while also stressing the importance of charity toward those who disagree.Make the switch today to iCatholicMobile today!iCatholic Mobile—supporting the Catholic faith with every connection.https://www.facebook.com/icatholicmobile https://www.icatholicmobile.com/ HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, July 27th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Supreme Court releases Muslim murderers of Christian couple The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the release of the final three men on death row in the 2014 murder case of a Christian couple, Shahzad Masih and his pregnant wife, Shama, reports International Christian Concern. With this decision, along with the dismissal of a state appeal against the acquittal of 102 other suspects, no one remains convicted or in prison for the attack.  Here's the back story.  On November 4, 2014, in a village in the Punjab Province, a violent mob attacked Shahzad and Shama after they were accused of desecrating pages of the Quran, Islam's misguided book. The mob severely beat the couple before throwing them into a hot brick kiln, where they both died.  While five men were sentenced to death and nine others received short prison sentences, they all were released back into society. Let's pray the prayer of Amos 5:24. Lord, “let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Wildfires in France and Spain have displaced 250,000 people France sent a hulking military cargo plane to dump tons of flame retardants as it battled raging wildfires on Saturday and slashed the final stage of the bicycle race, Tour de France, to redeploy security personnel to the blazes that forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, reports the Associated Press. The giant A400M transporter swooped in low, its long plume of ochre-colored retardant trailing over drought-hit woodlands on the ground that fought flames that authorities feared could spread toward the wine region city of Bordeaux in southwest France, 310 miles away from Paris. Wildfires in southern Europe last week have now displaced more than 250,000 people. Former Maine lawmaker replaces Graham Platner on Democratic ticket On Saturday, former state lawmaker and logger Troy Jackson secured the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Maine and will face longtime GOP Senator Susan Collins in November in a race that could decide which party controls the Senate, reports The Associated Press. Jackson replaces Graham Platner, who won the Democratic primary in June, but withdrew from the race earlier this month following an allegation of sexual assault that Platner has denied.  Maine Democrats met Saturday to choose a new Senate nominee to face Collins. Trump's CDC nominee commits to abortion data reporting Former Deputy Surgeon General Dr. Erica Schwartz, President Donald Trump's nominee to head the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, testified last week that it is “absolutely critical” for the CDC to gather reliable abortion data upon which policymakers and health analysts can make decisions, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Nominated in April, Schwartz is currently appearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee for her confirmation hearings. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri raised the matter of abortion data collection and analysis which the CDC had paused in November without explanation. HAWLEY: “The CDC collects data on abortions that are committed in the United States of America through a system called the ‘Abortion Reporting System.' This system is voluntary, and so a number of states, not coincidentally large blue states, do not turn over any data so that it's difficult to get a picture of just how many abortions, and under what circumstances, are committed in this country. We do know the numbers are going up, way up. Since the Dobbs decision -- well over a million abortions last year.  “Would you commit to collect the data on the number and circumstances of abortions, as is provided for in this system, and to work with those states that are currently holding out and not giving it to actually get the data so that we can know we can get a picture of what really is going on here? Will you do that? SCHWARTZ: “Senator, you have my commitment. Abortion surveillance is absolutely a critical component of what the CDC is currently doing. I will look into that.” HAWLEY: “Thank you.” SCHWARTZ: “But I also want to make sure that certain states are not conflating emergency services and hiding abortions in that emergency services case definition. We need to make sure we're pulling out true abortions and making sure that we're really having clear case definitions regarding abortions, so the data is actually accurate.” HAWLEY: “Fantastic!” Christian WNBA star attacked for opposing men in women's sports Sophie Cunningham, an eight-season WNBA veteran, got re-baptized earlier this year to reaffirm her Christian faith as an adult, reports The Christian Post. Appearing on “The Travis Hearn” podcast, she was asked about her faith. HEARN: “What's it like being a believer in Jesus Christ, a follower of Jesus, a woman of God, in the WNBA?” CUNNINGHAM: “For me, to be a believer in the W[NBA] … I think there's a lot more believers than you would actually, because a lot of people don't speak out about it. I am loud, I am confident, and I think being actually a woman of God, it's allowed me to walk into rooms with my shoulders back. I have a different type of swag and confidence about me because I know God has me.” Cunningham made headlines in 2022 when she approvingly retweeted an X post by CBS host Josh Prate opposing trans-identified male swimmer Will Thomas, who pretends to be a woman named “Lia,” being allowed on the women's team. As a result, the Left spewed hateful remarks about her on social media.  Indeed, 2 Timothy 3:12 says, “All those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” During an interview with ESPN last week, Cunningham asserted that she does not hate transgender-identifying people, but believes in standing up for young girls in their private spaces. CUNNINGHAM: “I think it's really important to protect children, and that's little girls who are also involved in that category. And so, I do have beliefs. I have morals, and I'll always stand on those and be true to who I am. And when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that.” On July 23rd, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt expressed the Trump administration's solidarity with Sophie Cunningham. LEAVITT: “This is something the President feels strongly about as well, and the American people do too. Men should not be playing in women's sports. It's completely ludicrous that anyone could support that.  “It's even more ludicrous that you do have Sophia Cunningham, a female athlete herself, very accomplished in her own right, coming forth and speaking that truth that men shouldn't play in women's sports. We want to protect women and girls. “The backlash she is receiving from Democrats is astonishing. They are clearly very out of touch with the American public on this issue, which is an 80/20 issue. It's common sense. It's rooted in basic biological fact that men should not be competing against women on playing fields across the country.” And ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith affirmed Cunningham's insistence that men, pretending to be women, should not compete against biological women. SMITH: “I can't applaud her enough. This notion that you're hating on the ‘trans community' because you are not a proponent of them participating in female sports is utterly ridiculous. Sophie Cunningham said every word right on the money. There's no hate involved. There's only love we're talking about.  “But what happened to loving girls who are born biologically as girls. What about their rights? What about fairness associated to them?  Smith cited the story of Will Thomas, the male swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, who is now pretending to be female as a good case in point revealing how demonstrably unfair it was to let him compete against biological women like Riley Gaines. SMITH: “'Lia Thomas.' I'm gonna keep bringing that name up: 400+ in the world competing as a male, transitions to female and he was number one. If we're gonna act like transitioning from male to female doesn't involve an advantage for that trans athlete, I have nothing to say to you. You're not exercising common sense.” Pastor Robert Jeffress' ministry surpasses 1 million YouTube subscribers Pastor Robert Jeffress' Pathway to Victory YouTube channel has surpassed 1 million subscribers, reports the Christian Post. Jeffress, who leads the 16,000-strong congregation at First Baptist Dallas, said the YouTube channel's launch was "an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel through our Bible-teaching ministry. We're grateful for the response.”  Amazingly, the church only launched the channel in 2024. Pathway to Victory was launched in 1996 and serves as the broadcast ministry for First Baptist Dallas and airs on 900 radio stations across the United States. Pastor Jeffress said, "Our mission has always been to pierce the darkness with the light of God's Word, and this [1 million subscriber milestone] is a testament to the power of the Gospel to transform lives." Worldview listener in North Carolina: Your news gives me hope! Karen Heyda in Hillsborough, North Carolina wrote me and said, “Mr. McManus, I was just listening to an episode of your tremendously uplifting, edifying and encouraging newscast. I am deeply grateful to you for giving us the world news from a Biblical perspective.  “That Biblical perspective gives me hope. Why? Because world news is typically BAD NEWS. It's often frightening and depressing. Yet when world news is presented from a Christian perspective, there is hope because Christ, our Redeemer, reigns and we are able to pray to Him and trust in Him Who makes all things new. “Reminding us of this truth encourages us to listen to your news program and to get on our knees and unite ourselves in prayer with and for those we've just heard about who need our prayers. Thank you for waking me up to a deeper and better way of responding to the world news today and every day.” 17 Worldview listeners gave $6,320.25 And finally, by Saturday night at 7:00pm Central, 17 Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate and invested their treasure to fund the six-member team behind The Worldview for another year. Our thanks to the McVeda Family kiddos in Great Falls, Montana who raised another $42.25 on Friday selling chocolate chip cookies and glasses of tea.  This is their third donation. One lady bought 10 cookies for $20, a glass of tea for $5, and then donated an extra $10.  Their initial two gifts, which totaled $347, have inspired a growing number of Worldview listeners to donate $347 or make a monthly pledge of $28.92 for a year totaling $347. And that was exactly what 10-year-old Anna McVeda had prayed – that God would somehow use their fundraiser to excite others to contribute. I am so touched by the McVeda kiddos. By the way, Fred and Cathy in Cascade, Montana, the grandparents of the McVeda Family kids, were so inspired by what their grandkids are doing that they contributed $347 themselves last Thursday.  McManus is crying again! We appreciate the donations of Edward in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada who gave $50, Logan and Quinn in Manzini, Eswatini, Africa $120, and Eli who is also from Eswatini, Africa and pledged $10/month for 12 months for a gift of $120. We're grateful to God for Marty in Roseburg, Oregon and an anonymous donor in Phoenix, Arizona – both of whom gave $200, Jason in Seffner, Florida who plans to continue his $25/month pledge for a gift of $300, and Bradley in Damascus, Oregon who gave $300. We were touched by the generosity of the McVeda Family-inspired donations of Frederick in Kennesaw, Georgia who pledged $28.92/month for 12 months for a gift of $347 as well as Rick in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Charlene in Wallkill, New York, and Keith in Watrous, Saskatchewan, Canada – each of whom gave $347. And we were touched by the sacrifice of Sam in Fellsmere, Florida, Brian in Dassel, Minnesota, and William in Lee's Summit, Missouri – each of whom gave $500. Plus, as I mentioned on Friday, an anonymous donor in Naples, Florida has just matched those first three gifts of $500 with another $1,500.   So, if you are one of the next 9 Worldview listeners to give a one-time gift of $500, the man in Naples, Florida will match your gifts as well. And we are appreciative of Andrew in Calgary, Alberta, Canada who pledged $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. Those 17 gifts add up to $6,320.25. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (drum roll sound effect) $62,383 (sound effect of people cheering) We need to raise $61,117 by midnight on Friday, July 31! That means in order to hit our final goal of $123,500 by this Friday, July 31st, God needs to prompt folks to give an astounding $61,117 in order for the 6-member Worldview newscast team to be fully funded for another year. At this newscast, we champion the truth and use the Bible as our plumbline. So, if you have been waiting until the last minute, this … is … it!  We could really use your help.  The finish line is this Friday! Would you consider being one of 25 people to pledge $100/month for 12 months for a gift of $1,200, one of 26 people to pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600, or one of 52 people to pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300? Sarah Lee Morse was a substitute teacher in Scotland. Students asked her repeatedly about abortion. She answered honestly: "As a faithful Catholic, I don't agree with it. I don't support it." She acknowledged others disagreed. She redirected students to their work. She was dismissed the same day.No warning. No opportunity to explain. Just termination for expressing a religious belief—in response to a question she did not initiate.Morse is now pursuing a discrimination claim based on religious belief. She argues that students should be exposed to differing opinions, not indoctrinated into a single viewpoint. When a student pressed her on abortion in cases of rape, she responded: "I don't think it's right to punish a child for something bad that the parent did."Make the switch today to iCatholicMobile today!iCatholic Mobile—supporting the Catholic faith with every connection.https://www.facebook.com/icatholicmobile https://www.icatholicmobile.com/ HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Friday, July 24th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus British pro-lifer brutally murdered There's a brutal update about the murder of a retired British pro-life politician. Shockingly, the man accused of murdering former British politician Ann Widdecombe on July 8th struck her 21 times in the head with a hammer before taking her wallet and leaving her home, reports Human Events. After she failed to appear for a scheduled television interview that afternoon, her body was discovered the following day by her gardener. Joshua Kerry, age 28, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on July 21st after being charged with murder in the death of the 78-year-old former Conservative Member of Parliament. Prosecutors said police are also investigating whether the killing had a political or terrorist motive. According to the Associated Press, Widdecombe was eating lunch at her home on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in southwest England, when Kerry arrived. Widdecombe served as a Conservative member of Parliament from 1987 until 2010. Listen to her articulate defense of the unborn baby in a 2020 debate hosted by the Queen's University Belfast Literary and Scientific Society. WIDDECOMBE: “When a child is born, you cannot take its life. Not one minute after birth can you take its life. It does not matter how disabled that child is, how profoundly sick it may be, how stressed the mother is, how poor the mother is, whether the mother has suddenly decided that she didn't, after all, want to have the child. You cannot take that child's life. At the moment of birth, it has full civil rights. It is protected as much as you and I are protected by the law. “Yet, one day earlier, that is not so. But hang on. It's the same child! Nothing has happened to change that child into something different, other than the fact that finally it can be seen, that it is quite visibly here among us. But it's been here among us in the days and the weeks and, indeed, the months before that birth. “So, I would say that the law, which has now been imposed, I can't put it any other way, on Northern Ireland is a law that actually is illogical. It is immoral and it is unkind. If a child can enjoy our protection one day, that same child should be able to enjoy our protection the day before!” Proverbs 31:8 says, “"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” The brutal death of pro-lifer Ann Widdecombe is a profound loss. Samaritan's Purse aids thousands after Venezuela earthquakes Evangelist Franklin Graham visited Venezuela this week to meet with earthquake survivors who were being aided by Samaritan's Purse after the June 24 back-to-back magnitude 7.5 and 7.2 earthquakes killed at least 5,000 people and injured even more, reports The Christian Post. Samaritan's Purse Emergency Field Hospital, which has 60 beds and two operating rooms, has helped 2,500 people since it opened on June 30th. Graham said, "These people are surrounded by so much death and destruction. We want to bring the light of Jesus Christ into these places of pain.” Thomas Ovington, the Team Leader in Venezuela, gave his overview of the earthquake trauma and the help that Samaritan's Purse is offering. OVINGTON: “We're seeing complete chaos around. There's fallen buildings. There's people sleeping in the streets. Football stadiums packed full of people. It's also the huge number of people that are missing. There's just an incredibly high level of desperation. “But it's also an amazing opportunity for us to serve. We have a lot of different capabilities. This is the emergency room that we're in right now. Two operating theaters in the back where we can do the surgeries. A lot of the needs we're starting to see are trauma from fallen buildings. There's crush injuries, broken bones. “Additionally to that, we're doing distributions of tarps, non-food items, and potable water. “At Samaritan's Purse, our number one priority is to share the Gospel of Jesus and the hope we have in Him. And so here, we're in the midst of an incredibly hopeless situation for tens of thousands of people. It's really an incredible opportunity for us to live out our mission, relieving suffering and doing it all in Jesus' name.” You can make a donation to help the efforts of Samaritan's Purse on the ground in Venezuela through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Trump blasts Democrat Communists as greatest threat to America Ahead of the November midterm elections, President Donald Trump launched a broadside against the Democratic Party, saying the up-and-coming Democratic Socialists are "communism by another name" and "the greatest threat I've ever seen to our country.,” reports Real Clear Politics. TRUMP:  “While our administration is lifting up the next generation with the power of freedom and American capitalism, proven all over the world when it's done right, the radical Left is actively trying to destroy our children's future with the disaster known as communism. This isn't social democracy; these are communists by another name, right? “Communism is the single greatest threat to our country in its history, including even World War I and World War II, Pearl Harbor, 9/11. These people are stone cold crazy. “You know they want to give everything away. You want free rent? You want [a] free house? What they don't say is that a year from now, there'll be absolute squalor, turmoil, and death. And that's why we declare again today that the United States of America will never be a communist country!” NYC Mayor threatens to arrest Israeli Prime Minister as a “war criminal” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a socialist, has been threatening to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he addresses the United Nations this September in New York City.  This was in response to the International Criminal Court's November 2024 issuance of a warrant for Netanyahu's arrest for what it alleges are war crimes and crimes against humanity. MAMDAMI: “Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people. As I've said, I agree with the [International Criminal Court] that Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for his crimes. “My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here. It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant. The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant.” Appearing on American Family Radio, Mike Huckabee, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, had some choice words for the New York City mayor. HUCKABEE: “He certainly doesn't have the legal right to arrest a diplomat because he has diplomatic immunity if he comes to the U.N. So, this is nonsense on the part of Mamdami. He ought to be focusing on fixing potholes, picking up the trash, keeping the parks clean, and the needles from drug users off the streets. But instead, he's injecting himself into something about which he is utterly ignorant. “When he says Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, on what does he base that? Benjamin Netanyahu is the elected leader of a country that very much mirrors the United States in terms of complete, wall-to-wall freedom. And if he's talking about Gaza and says, ‘Oh, they're guilty of genocide. Israel didn't start the war in Gaza; Hamas did by murdering 1,200 innocent civilians and taking captive 250 people, including 16 Americans.” Ambassador Huckabee explained what a similar attack on America would look like when scaled to the size of our population. HUCKABEE: “If Americans had the similar kind of assault on us in one day, if you looked at the scale of population, it would be the equivalent of 40,000 Americans being murdered in a single day, and 10,000 people being taken hostage, raped, starved, beaten, and abused. And I wonder what would Americans demand? What would Americans do if we had 40,000 people slaughtered, including pregnant women butchered in front of their children? If we'd had that in one day, I wonder if America's response would be to just gently write, maybe a strongly worded letter and say, ‘Please give our 10,000 hostages back.' “The Israelis prosecuted the war against Hamas for the sole purpose of getting their hostages back, but Hamas wouldn't let them go. This war should never have taken that long.” Homosexual Fox News host buys surrogate child On July 15, Fox News political analyst Guy Benson, a self-proclaimed homosexual,  announced on Instagram that he and his homosexual partner, Adam Wise, became so-called “fathers” again with a picture of himself holding a little girl named Madison Halsey, reports LifeSiteNews.com. This is the second child the two men have procured through surrogacy. Their son, Conrad James, was also birthed by an anonymous surrogate mother in November 2023. The culture war over surrogacy – the practice of renting the body of a woman to gestate a child created outside the womb through in vitro fertilization – has been growing louder over the past several years. The New York Post noted that Benson's announcement “drew an outpouring of well-wishes from prominent conservatives, including former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Fox News host Dana Perino, and political commentator Sarah Cupp.” On the other hand, Christian commentators such as Megan Basham emphasized the injustice. She wrote, “Benson is an incisive pundit. But there is nothing conservative about deliberately creating motherless children. I pray Benson, and those like him on the Right, would consider what they are telling the world about how unnecessary they believe mothers (or if we're talking about two women, fathers) are to the needs of children.” And Katy Faust, a children's rights activist and founder of Them Before Us, wrote, “What did you think was going to happen after we legalized gay marriage? … What Obergefell enabled was something else. It accelerated the legal replacement of biological parenthood with intent-based parenthood.” Romans 1:26-27 says, “God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” 24 Worldview listeners gave $10,569.75 And finally, by Thursday night at 10:00pm Central, 24 Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate and invested their treasure to fund the six-member team behind The Worldview for another year. Our thanks to Elizabeth in Lubbock, Texas who gave $50, Craig in Rochester, New Hampshire who gave $86.75 as well as Robert in San Antonio, Texas and Jane in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania – both of whom gave $100. We are grateful to God for Elaine in Hampton, South Carolina who gave $120, Jennifer in San Jose, California, Alexander in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and Jason in Lakeland, Florida – each of whom pledged $10/month for 12 months for a gift of $120. We were touched by the generosity of Daniel in Santa Cruz, California who pledged $22/month for 12 months for a gift of $264, Sarah in Madera, California who gave $300, and George in Leesburg, Virginia who pledged $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. We appreciated the sacrifice of Fred in Cascade, Montana, Michelle in Sparta, Michigan, Todd in Davenport, Iowa, Mary in Highland, New York, Caroline in Live Oak, Florida, and Clarence in Stone Ridge, New York – each of whom gave $347 as well as Michele in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada who pledged $28.92/month for 12 months for a gift of $347. And we were blown away by David in Tall Timbers, Maryland who pledged $30/month for 12 months for a gift of $360, Rosilin in Waynesville, Missouri who gave $500, Tammy in Cascade, Idaho who gave $1,200, Elizabeth in Carol Stream, Illinois who gave $1,200, Emmanuel in Madison, Alabama who gave $1,200, and Calvin in Waldorf, Maryland who gave $2,000. Those 24 gifts add up to $10,569.75. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (drum roll sound effect) $56,062.75 (sound effect of people cheering) Wow! That is the single best day so far in the month of July.  More and more Worldview listeners are catching the vision, thanks in part to the McVeda Family in Great Falls, Montana. Can you feel the momentum? We need to raise $25,163.25 by midnight on Friday, July 24 But we still have a steep hill to climb. So, if you have not stepped up to the plate yet, we could really use your help.  By tonight at 12 midnight, we need to raise a whopping $25,163.25 to hit our $81,226 goal! But listen to this.  I got a call yesterday morning from a Worldview friend in Naples, Florida right before I swam my 72 laps at the outdoor pool at my gym.  He said, “Adam, I will match, dollar for dollar, the next 12 people who give a one-time gift of $500.”  He is willing to invest $6,000 to encourage 12 people to collectively give another $6,000! If those gifts come in today, then we have to raise the difference of about $13,000. Would you consider being one of 6 people to pledge $100/month for 12 months for a gift of $1,200, one of 5 people to pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600, or one of 10 people to pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300? A monsignor with decades of service in canon law, including work in Peru and the Diocese of Colorado Springs, was laicized just days before the conclave that elected Pope Leo XIV. He claims it was not justice. It was retaliation. The monsignor alleges that false accusations, manipulated evidence, and irregular canonical procedures were used to destroy his reputation after he defended alleged abuse victims and publicly criticized influential Church leaders. He says he was never shown a formal decree of dismissal. He says due process was never afforded. He says the Church authorities who destroyed him relied on power, not law.At the center of his accusations: Pope Leo XIV, then Cardinal Robert Prevost, whom the monsignor accuses of covering up abuse and orchestrating his removal. It's Tuesday, July 21st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson, Timothy Reed and Adam McManus Chinese pastor reveals prison conditions The Chinese pastor, just released from prison, because of the U.S. President's intervention, spoke out about his experience in a Wall Street Journal article. Ezra Jin said eight of his church members are still in prison, in rough conditions. He wrote that “[They] are confined in cramped cells and sleep on floor mats in blistering heat. Many leave behind young families. I won't rest until they see freedom.” Throughout the day, the Christians were required to sit on hard benches and could not stand up without requesting permission of the authorities. The pastor further stated, “These Christians love their nation. They only want to worship God peacefully, according to the Bible, and to serve others, especially the poor, the disabled, and the elderly.” 900 people in Congo, Africa have died from E-bola That E-bola outbreak in Congo, Africa has now killed over 900 people and will soon be the second worst E-bola outbreak in history. At least 36 health workers have contracted the disease and died in the outbreak. Samaritan's Purse has two treatment centers operating right now in the Congo. At least one of the ministry workers has been diagnosed with the disease, and is being treated in Frankfurt, Germany. State Secretary Marco Rubio denounces leftist political violence Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke at a summit on political terrorism attended by representatives from more than 60 countries. Rubio explained the culture of violence and revolution that is on the rise with the Left, both in the United States and across the world.  Listen. RUBIO: “You are here because your political leaders are being attacked and stabbed and shot in your streets, because your businesses have been bombed, because your railways have been sabotaged, because your police officers have been beaten and burned. You are here because this is real, and it is getting worse. It can no longer be denied. It can no longer be ignored because it is time to crush this evil forever. “The simple fact is, none of this that I've just described is new. Far-left political terrorism is not a recent-day modern novelty. It is not a fiction manufactured by conservative politicians. For most of the modern era, it was, in fact, the dominant form of political violence.” Romans 13:3 says, “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.” Vice President J.D. Vance and Usha welcome fourth child Psalm 127:3 declares, “Children are a heritage of the Lord. The fruit of the womb is His reward.” Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife Usha welcomed their fourth child into the world — Alec Neel Vance, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The Vice President spoke at a Right to Life event last year in this vein. VANCE: “So let me say very simply: I want more babies in the United States of America.” (cheering) He went on to say, “I want more happy children in our country, and I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them." This marks the first time in more than 150 years that a sitting Vice President has had a child born into the family while in office. Also, Donald Trump, a father of five, represented a shift after Presidents Bill Clinton's one child, George W. Bush's two children, and Barack Obama's two children. 7,000 Americans contracted cyclospora virus, many from Taco Bell Here in the states as many as 7,000 Americans are suspected to have contracted the cyclospora virus, a parasitic disease producing weeks of diarrhea. The Associated Press reports that federal health officials have identified lettuce from Mexico served at Taco Bell locations across five U.S. states as a source. Last Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned consumers not to eat shredded iceberg lettuce from Taco Bell restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. A record number of cyclospora cases have been reported in more than 30 states. The FDA's traceback investigation identified a single supplier of iceberg lettuce from Mexico. Officials suspect that the lettuce was watered with feces-contaminated water. So far, the disease is most prevalent in New York, Michigan, and North Carolina. Republicans wants to curtail surveillance Flock cameras Conservative Republicans in the United States House of Representatives put forward a bill to curtail the surveillance being conducted through devices such as Flock cameras. The bill, filed by Republican Congressman Keith Self of Texas, would force police departments to obtain a warrant to search through camera data and license plate readers when looking for criminals.  Representative Self explained, “Americans' Fourth Amendment right to be secure in their privacy does not disappear just because of new technology or artificial intelligence. Americans have a constitutional right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, and our government is supposed to get a warrant before invading that privacy. This bill simply restores that protection.”  As of 2025, Flock is used by over 6,000 municipalities in the United States. The company had raised a total of $950 million in venture funding, with a $7.5 billion valuation. Court: Amish parents cannot abstain from school vaccinations The U.S. Second Court of Appeals ruled against the Amish community in New York, which had sued to abstain from school vaccinations. The ruling strips parents of their right to abstain from school vaccinations for their children due to religious reasons.  The New American pointed out, “Should the case reach the Supreme Court of the United States, as legal experts expect, the decision could have nationwide implications for religious exemptions in all 45 states that currently allow them for school vaccines.” America's hot summer It's a hot summer, especially in the Western states. Billings, Montana topped out at a record 111 degrees on Sunday. Salt Lake City also set record temperatures. And ABC News reports that 100 million Americans will experience extreme temperatures this week. Forecasters are expecting 20-30 degrees hotter than the average temperatures. Aspen Fires in Colorado burned 100,000 acres The Colorado Aspen Acres Fire is the biggest fire in the country thus far — burning down 100,000 acres, reports The Colorado Sun. The Pacific Northwest has two big fires raging now as well. First, the Hay Creek Complex fire has burned over 92,000 acres, and the Rowe Creek Complex fire has burned 36,000 acres. Spain wins Soccer's World Cup On Sunday, Spain beat Argentia 1-0 in the final World Cup soccer game, reports ABC News. ANNOUNCER: “At long, long last, Spain's magic moment. Spain are the champions. Spain have seized their second star. The kings of Europe have conquered the world.” President Donald Trump showed up at the Met Life Stadium to hand off the reward. Two million Spanish fans took to the streets to cheer the world champions as they travelled down Madrid's historic avenues from near Moncloa Palace. Unapologetic prayer at NASCAR NASCAR stock car racing opened up its FaithFest Jesus is Lord 250 with a prayer this weekend in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina.   Listen to the unapologetic prayer by Craig Church of Faith Fest Evangelistic Ministries. CHURCH: “Let us pray. Thank you, Father, for this historic moment here at North Wilkesboro Speedway. I pray your blessings over the drivers, this team, the race in this place. Jesus Christ, use John 3:16 to change lives across this nation. ‘For God so loved the world that it did His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' “I want to proclaim Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God. God bless America. Revive us again. And I pray this prayer in the most precious and powerful name I know, Jesus Christ. Amen.” Rhode Island Worldview listener calls newscast “a treasure trove” A listener in Rhode Island wrote, “Adam, I first heard The Worldview as a featured spot on Sermon Audio. Since that time, I have listened faithfully without hardly ever missing an episode via the Apple podcasts app. “In fact, it's the first podcast of the day that I listen to while tidying my home before starting my shift as a remote scheduling coordinator and customer service representative.  “I have also recommended it to my friends. One of my closest friends is a new listener and she will ‘binge listen' to the previous week's episodes on her way to church.  “I am extremely grateful to you and your team for this ministry. I don't know of a broadcast like it! World news from a Christian worldview? In about 5 minutes? Updates on the persecuted church? Scripture references? This broadcast is a treasure trove!” 9 Worldview listeners gave $3,285 And finally, by Monday night at 8:50pm Central, 9 Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate and invested their treasure to fund the six-member team behind The Worldview for another year. Sister Dede. Byrne On The Crisis In The Church and The World

Sister Dede Byrne has witnessed death from both sides, as a physician and as a religious sister. She has sat with the dying, prayed with the suffering, and watched souls pass from this world to the next. Her message is urgent: the final days of life are spiritually invaluable and should never be intentionally shortened.Speaking in the shadow of the Archdiocese of Chicago's new suicide memorial and the growing acceptance of euthanasia and assisted suicide, Sister Dede insists that mercy is real, but presumption is dangerous. "From the saddle to the ground, mercy is sought, and mercy is found," she quotes, emphasizing that Christ offers every person a final opportunity to choose Him. But no one can definitively judge the state of a soul at death. That belongs to God alone. The interview turns to the crisis within the Church: SSPX excommunications, the Vatican's relationship with China, the Synod on Synodality, and debates over homosexuality and the Latin Mass. Sister Dede acknowledges the confusion but rejects despair. The faithful response is not outrage; it is prayer, the sacraments, and fidelity to Christ. She points to Fatima and the Blessed Virgin Mary's promise of triumph, urging believers to "pray, pray, pray" and remain steadfast. The crisis is real. But the triumph is certain. Sister Dede calls on Catholics to hold the line, not with anger, but with hope.Make the switch today to iCatholicMobile today!iCatholic Mobile—supporting the Catholic faith with every connection.https://www.facebook.com/icatholicmobile https://www.icatholicmobile.com/ HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Friday, July 17th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Scottish man arrested for hate speech about pro-life politician's murder A 50-year-old man, pretending to be a woman, who works at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, publicly celebrated the murder of former British Member of Parliament Ann Widdecombe, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Herbert, an Aberdeen web developer, who prefers to be called “Heather,” wrote, “Some good news for once. I hope it was an extremely painful death” and “I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony.” Widdecombe, a pro-life advocate, served in the Parliament from 1987 to 2010. She endeared herself to Britons with her surprisingly popular appearances on the television shows Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother.  Herbert has now been charged for his bizarre hate speech as the investigation into her murder continues. Some have raised speculation that the arrest might be due less to Herbert's hate speech and more to do with what, if any, inside knowledge he might have about her murder. Widdecombe is the second murder of a high-profile pro-life politician in England this decade. Sir David Amess, who was a Member of Parliament for 38 years and Widdecombe's friend, was murdered at a local event in 2021 by Islamist Ali Harbi Ali. Arizona Senator admits to two extra-marital affairs U.S. Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona, a married man and a potential 2028 presidential candidate, engaged in sexual relationships with at least two House staffers, reports the New York Post. The 46-year-old lawmaker admitted to the two extramarital affairs. In Exodus 20:14, God gave Moses the seventh of the Ten Commandments: “You shall not commit adultery.” Man, who spewed racial epithet, charged black NBC Today co-host Andrew Truelove allegedly stormed NBC's "Today" show at 9:00am Eastern on July 16th, lunged at anchor Craig Melvin, a black man, and called him the N-word, reports NBC News. He is now facing a slew of hate crime charges. Truelove, who is white and was unarmed, had entered a stairwell and made his way backstage near the dressing room. The staff and security rushed in -- and the intruder was ultimately detained and arrested. The incident was not captured during the broadcast. Nobody was hurt. Roughly 15 minutes afterwards, both Craig Melvin and Al Roker were on air. Neither hinted at the drama. AG nominee open to roll back Biden's mail-order Abortion Kill Pill During his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on July 15th, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche faced a range of questions from Republicans regarding the Abortion Kill Pill mifepristone, reports The Washington Stand. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri asked about the Trump administration's perspective. HAWLEY: “Joe Biden took away President Trump's safety restrictions on this chemical abortion drug. He instituted a mail order abortion policy. So, my state went to court to try to defend our state's laws. A number of other states, Republican states, did this. And of course, in the meantime, the president changed, thank goodness. And now we have President Trump. “But that means that that now we have the state of Missouri, a Republican state, along with a number of other conservative Republican states, are in court against a Republican administration, fighting over Joe Biden's abortion policy.” BLANCHE: “I share your concerns, as does this entire administration. We have the most pro-life president in history, and you are one of the most pro-life senators in this body. “We are not defending what Biden did, and will not. The FDA has a process that takes a year. They've committed to do it in significantly less time than a year. President Trump's administration, in its entirety, will protect the life of the unborn.” HAWLEY: “Presumably, you have no issue with President Trump's earlier rule, which had common sense safety restrictions. You had to see a doctor, get a prescription. There had to be a follow-up visit to see if there was any hemorrhaging. Those were in place before Biden gutted them. “Presumably, there's no issue with any of those.” BLANCHE: “I anticipate the Department [of Justice] would defend those rules.” HAWLEY: “Why not, while the FDA is doing its review, why not put President Trump's rules in place? They're good rules. Why not do that rather than leave in place these rules?” BLANCHE: “We want to get to a good result, consistent with President Trump's administrative directive and priorities. And we very much believe that the Biden rules were wrong.” Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Senator Cruz: Comstock Act should prohibit Abortion Pill by mail And Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas also addressed the Abortion Kill Pill with Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche. CRUZ: “The Comstock Act provides that every article or thing designed or adapted or intended for producing abortion is declared to be non-mailable. I have to admit that statutory text to me looks quite straightforward. It is not subtle. It is not difficult. It is straightforward. “As you know, during the Biden administration, the Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion concluding that those provisions generally do not prohibit mailing abortion drugs unless the sender intends them to be used unlawfully. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “Yes, that's correct.” CRUZ: “Now, [the] Office of Legal Counsel's opinions may be reconsidered when the Attorney General concludes they are inconsistent with the law. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “That is right.” CRUZ: “Will you commit to carefully reviewing that opinion to ensure that it faithfully reflects the actual statutory text that Congress enacted?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “Will you commit that the Department [of Justice] will carefully evaluate every lawful action available to ensure the faithful enforcement of the Comstock Act and other federal pro-life acts?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “I want to point out the real consequences of the Biden administration's lawless authorization of mail-order abortions. According to FDA reporting, the abortion pill has taken more than 3.7 million unborn lives, caused 24 maternal deaths -- moms are being killed -- and resulted in at least 4,195 adverse maternal reactions, including hemorrhage, excruciating abdominal pain, and severe, life-threatening infections. “The position of the Democrats now seems to be that women and teenage girls should be able to get mail-order abortions without a doctor being involved at all. And I will tell you, the death toll from that is horrific, and it needs to stop.” Once Blanche is voted out of the Judiciary Committee, he will need 51 votes of the 100 senators to be confirmed as President Trump's next U.S. Attorney General. Focus on the Family president Jim Daly to step down Nearly two decades after taking the helm of Focus on the Family following the departure of its founder, Jim Daly is preparing to hand the ministry to a new generation, reports The Christian Post. The president of one of America's most influential Evangelical groups announced this week that Focus has officially launched a nationwide search for its next leader, marking the beginning of what is expected to be an 18-month succession process ahead of the ministry's 50th anniversary in 2027. Unlike many recent leadership transitions in prominent Christian groups, this one is not being driven by scandal or internal upheaval. Rather, Focus on the Family is intentionally choosing to transition while it's healthy. Jim Daly said, "My core belief was it's good to get new faces, new energy, younger leadership in to speak to the 30-, 40-somethings about what they're facing with marriage and parenting. I'm going to be turning 65. It's time to start looking for the next-gen leadership. That's really the goal, and to do it well is the other goal." The search, being conducted with executive search firm FaithSearch Partners, will culminate in a vote by Focus' board of directors. Founded in 1977 by Christian psychologist and author Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family grew from a fledgling radio ministry into one of the most recognizable voices in American evangelicalism. Through its daily radio broadcasts, magazines, books, counseling services, and public policy advocacy, the Colorado Springs-based nonprofit became a defining force in conversations about marriage, parenting, religious liberty, and the sanctity of life. Today, the ministry reaches millions through radio, podcasts and digital media, employing roughly 750 people and overseeing an annual budget of $150 million. Worldview listeners weigh in from Texas and Alaska Liz Walker in Lubbock, Texas, wrote me and said, “I learned about your newscast from a Homeschool Mom blog. I love listening to it every weekday morning. Learning disabilities do not limit a person's capacity for holiness. Margaret Walsh, founder of Secret Garden Educational Pathways, argues that children with special needs are not less suited for the Traditional Latin Mass; they are uniquely suited for it. Beauty, music, incense, ritual, and physical gestures engage the senses, memory, and imagination in ways that verbal comprehension alone cannot reach.Drawing on more than a decade in special education and the philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas, Walsh explains that human beings naturally learn through sensory experience before arriving at intellectual understanding. The sacred liturgy supports this process. Latin is not a barrier, it is a doorway. The reverence, the silence, the movement, all of it speaks to souls that struggle with words.A warning for parents: know who is teaching your children and what materials are being used. A diagnosis is not an ending—it is the beginning of a hopeful journey. And the Latin Mass, Walsh insists, is the best place to start.Make the switch today to iCatholicMobile today!iCatholic Mobile—supporting the Catholic faith with every connection.www.facebook.com/icatholicmobile www.icatholicmobile.comHELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIALU.S. residents! It's Friday, July 10th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Finnish MP, convicted for quoting Bible, denied transit through London airport Finnish Member of Parliament Päivi Räsänen, who was recently convicted by Finland's Supreme Court for quoting the Bible, has been told that she cannot go through London's Heathrow Airport due to her alleged “hate crime” conviction, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Writer Rod Dreher broke the news on his Substack on Wednesday. The incident has not yet been detailed by any other outlets, but Dreher's report was reposted on X by the senior counsel of Alliance Defending Freedom, which has defended Räsänen in court over the years. War Secretary Pete Hegseth publicly prayed to King Jesus on July 4th On Independence Day, War Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered this extraordinary prayer at the White House. Listen. HEGSETH: “King Jesus, we come humbly before Your throne, praising You for all the providence You've bestowed upon this nation. For over 250 years, from George Washington to President Trump, we have dedicated this nation to one nation under God, and certainly, in God we trust. “And as we think 250 years ago to George Washington on bended knee in Valley Forge, appealing to Heaven on behalf of his troops in this young nation. We've appealed to You from the beginning, and may we continue to appeal to You. And tonight, we pray for our President, President Trump. Give him safety, give him wisdom. “Lord, we pray for our Vice President, our First Lady, our Second Lady, the cabinet members here, all the governors assembled here as well, our civil magistrates, Lord God. I ask that You give them the wisdom to see what is right and the courage to do it; wisdom defined as fear of the Lord, ear of the Lord being the source of all knowledge and wisdom, Lord God, Your eternal truths may they rule. “So, this evening, also, I would be remiss if I did not pray for our great troops, our men and women all around the globe, defending our great nation, as they have for 250 years. Lord God, watch over them and protect them. “It is in Your holy name, the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, that we pray, and we bless this food, too. Amen.” I bet you didn't hear that prayer on any secular news outlet. In Psalm 35:18, King David offers this prayer to God: “I will give You thanks in the great assembly; among the throngs I will praise You.” Students for Life gives Congress an ‘F' after Planned Parenthood's funding resumes Pro-lifers across America are reeling over the Republican-controlled Congress's failure to keep Planned Parenthood defunded. Now, Students for Life has taken the dramatic step of notifying every member of Congress that they have received a failing pro-life grade as a result, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Last July, President Donald Trump signed into law his “One Big Beautiful Bill”, a wide-ranging policy package that included a one-year ban on federal tax dollars going through Medicaid to entities that commit abortions for reasons other than rape, incest, or supposed threats to the mother's life.  While it denied millions to Planned Parenthood, pro-lifers warned from the start that it was only a temporary solution and urged Congress to enact a more permanent measure ahead of the provision's July 4, 2026 expiration date. Maine's Democratic Senatorial candidate suspends campaign Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner ended his campaign on July 8th after facing a detailed allegation of sexual assault, an astounding and rapid fall for the leftist oysterman whose dramatic rise and grassroots support helped him overcome establishment opposition to secure his party's nomination, reports Politico.com. But a persistent accumulation of controversies weighed on Platner's campaign for months. Monday marked a turning point: Democratic leadership, many of Platner's staunchest leftist backers, and key groups who had been helping fund his bid withdrew their support and pressured Platner to drop out after POLITICO reported a new allegation of sexual assault. Since his withdrawal from the race, several Democrats have expressed interest in running against Republican incumbent Senator Susan Collins. Appearing on Fox News, Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania did not pull any punches and spoke directly to Graham Platner on national television. FETTERMAN: “A woman credibly accused you of raping her. He will be remembered as an accused rapist. He's always been a dead man walking.” FOX NEWS HOST: “He choked up a couple of times during that announcement. Do you think he thinks he's the victim here?” FETTERMAN: “Oh, yeah, definitely. Bro, you will only be remembered as the accused rapist that got pushed out of your election. That's your legacy, bro. You are a guy that cheats on your wife. You're the guy that roughs up your ex-girlfriends. That's your legacy, bro.” Trial of Charlie Kirk's alleged shooter reveals testimony from trans roommate In the trial involving Charlie Kirk's September 10, 2025 assassination, suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson, faces several charges including aggravated murder, a capital offense, reports the New York Post. On July 9th, Robinson's preliminary hearing entered Day 4 in Provo, Utah, as prosecutors played redacted video testimony from his ex-lover, Lance Twiggs, a man who pretends to be a woman named Luna. Twiggs was Robinson's former roommate and romantic partner, who was granted "use immunity" for his statements to investigators. Twiggs revealed Robinson's alleged tearful confession after returning home from killing Charlie Kirk — hours before turning himself in. In never-before-seen footage, Twiggs told prosecutors on July 9th that Robinson was walking around their apartment before breaking down and declaring he “wishes he hadn't done it.” The video showed prosecutor Ryan McBride interviewing Robinson's partner, who described Robinson's alleged regret when they spoke in person on September 11 — one day after Kirk was killed. McBRIDE: “Did he talk about what he had done?” TWIGGS: “Didn't go into detail. I just asked him, in person, if what he said was true the night before, and he said it was. He started crying a little bit, and said he wishes he hadn't done it.” Proverbs 12:17 says, “An honest witness tells the truth, but a false witness tells lies.” As related texts were read aloud, Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, was heard crying in court, according to the Daily Mail. The video and accompanying texts — shown for the first time in court during a preliminary hearing — offered the strongest picture yet of how the accused lone gunman allegedly confessed to the assassination. 31-year-old Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. Fulton Sheen SSPX Letter? Leo XIV's new LGBT Bishop + Why Abortion Is Treated Lighter Than SSPX

Pope Leo XIV just appointed a German bishop who supported same-sex blessings, gender ideology, and LGBT initiatives. The same Vatican that celebrated that appointment has now imposed canonical sanctions on the Society of Saint Pius X, sanctions that require a more demanding process for lifting than the procedure for Catholics who have procured an abortion. The comparison is stark. The priorities are exposed. The inconsistencies that have left traditional Catholics reeling are now being seen. John-Henry Westen also investigates a widely circulated letter attributed to Bishop Fulton Sheen criticizing the SSPX. While the letter may be genuine, the host argues it likely does not reflect Sheen's own thinking, citing historical inaccuracies, Sheen's declining health, and the possibility that staff drafted much of his correspondence. The Vatican's treatment of the SSPX is not about discipline. It is about eliminating the Traditional Latin Mass and the communities that preserve it. The episcopal consecrations were a practical necessity. And the faithful who stood in the rain in Écône know it. The question is whether the rest of the Church will see the pattern before it is too late. A bishop who blesses sin is celebrated. A bishop who preserves Tradition is excommunicated. The Church has turned against itself.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! The Vatican declared excommunications. The bishops were consecrated anyway. And more than 16,000 faithful knelt in a thunderstorm and prayed the Rosary.John-Henry Westen reflects on his week in Écône, Switzerland, covering the SSPX consecrations. He witnessed the beauty of the traditional liturgy, the sacrifice and joy of the Society's clergy, and the unwavering faith of pilgrims who traveled from across the world. The storm did not scatter them. It united them. It was, he says, a demonstration of vibrant Catholic life—centered on tradition, reverence, and fidelity to Christ. But the experience raised deeper questions. How can Rome demand obedience from the SSPX while promoting blessings for same-sex couples, redefining the death penalty, and opening Holy Communion to the divorced and remarried? Westen argues that the Church is in a prolonged doctrinal crisis—one that has created a state of emergency justifying extraordinary measures.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! In 1976, the future Pope John Paul II spoke of a "final confrontation" between the Church and the anti-Church. Nearly fifty years later, John-Henry Westen argues that confrontation is here, and the signs are unmistakable. This is not speculation. It is the logic of Fatima. The requests for the consecration of Russia have not been fully fulfilled. The Five First Saturdays devotion remains largely ignored. The Third Secret, much of it still hidden, warned of corruption beginning at the top. The Garabandal apparitions spoke of a coming "warning," an illumination of conscience that would shake the world. And the ignored request to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart echoes the delayed consecration of Russia, a pattern of disobedience with consequences.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! Many Catholics have lost their sense of eternity. And the silence on death, judgment, heaven, and hell has left souls unprepared for what awaits them.Fr. Fasching delivers a stark warning to a Church that has abandoned its most essential mission: preaching the reality of eternal consequences. The Eucharist, he insists, is the anchor of the Christian life. Adoration is not optional piety, it is the highest activity of man, the foundation of all true action. Without it, everything else collapses.Fr. Fasching goes on to address the modern presumption that most people are saved. Christ's warning that "the road is narrow" is not a metaphor. "Most people are choosing hell," he says, not as spectacle, but as realism. A call to conversion. A summons to repentance.Suffering, he reminds us, is not evidence of God's absence. It is proof of His closeness. The cross is not an interruption of God's plan—it is the plan. And the choice before every Catholic is stark: comfort or sanctity. The world offers one. The Church offers the other. The faithful must decide which they will pursue.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! Did Benedict Really Resign? The Canonical Case That Won't Go Away

The John-Henry Westen Show

Pope Benedict XVI stepped down in 2013. But did he actually resign? The question has haunted the Church for over a decade—and John-Henry Westen argues it is time to ask it again. The key lies in the language Benedict used. He renounced the ministerium—the active exercise of governance. But he retained references to the munus—the papal office itself. Canon lawyers have long pointed out that this distinction could render the resignation invalid under canon law. Benedict, a world-renowned Latin scholar and theologian, knew exactly what he was writing. A linguistic mistake is virtually impossible.Archbishop Gänswein and Benedict himself later made statements suggesting Benedict understood his role as continuing in a contemplative, prayerful capacity—even after relinquishing active governance. This implies a new understanding of the papacy, one that Catholic tradition has never recognized as possible.Westen puts the argument to AI models—ChatGPT and Grok—feeding them the premises of the case. Both concluded that if those premises are accepted, Benedict's resignation would be invalid, and subsequent papal claimants would lack juridical basis. The analysis depends on accepting the premises, but the conclusion is stark. This is not speculation. It is a canonical argument that has not been answered. And it has implications that cannot be ignored.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, June 22nd, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Canadian Parliament passes anti-Bible bill Sadly, Canada's Parliament passed the anti-Bible bill. LifeSiteNews.com reports that a final attempt to stop Bill C-9 was defeated. The bill, which threatens to criminalize quoting parts of the Bible, including on homosexuality, will soon become law. On Wednesday, June 17, a majority of Members of Parliament voted down an attempt by conservative Andrew Lawton to stop Bill C-9 “once and for all.” In an X post, he wrote, that the liberals “voted down my motion to withdraw the divisive and toxic Bill C-9 to stand up for freedom of expression and freedom of religion.”  Another conservative Member of Parliament, Brad Redekopp, called the official passage of Bill C-9 a “dark day” for Canada and religious freedom. The bill was introduced by Justice Minister Sean Fraser last year. Specifically, Bill C-9 would remove Section 319(3)(b) of Canada's Criminal Code.  That's the section which protects the good-faith expression of a person's religious views based on religious texts such as the Holy Bible. Galatians 6:7 declares, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.” Proof that Fauci funded lab research that sparked COVID A trove of communications and documents released by outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard show that Dr. Anthony Fauci “provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research” on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and that Fauci “lied to Congress,” reports LifeSiteNews.com. In a viral overnight social media video on June 19th already seen by millions, Gabbard made this announcement. GABBARD: “Before the COVID pandemic, Dr. Fauci, as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, work which is now widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic. “Now, in support of President Trump's maximum transparency mandate, today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I'm releasing never-before-seen communications and documents that expose exactly how Fauci worked with politicized career leadership in the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions, the virus's lab leak origins, and his role in directing U.S. funding for this dangerous research that caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives. “Now, these documents expose Fauci's direct role in influencing and manipulating [Intelligence Community] assessments on COVID 19, and how Fauci lied to Congress in 2024 when, under oath, he denied knowledge of or participation in discussions with intelligence officials about viral research.” Dr. Fauci's close Intelligence Community relationships enabled him to “assume three key roles during the pandemic that shielded him from scrutiny as he wielded outsized influence.” First, Fauci funded risky coronavirus research linked to Big Pharma and the pursuit of “universal vaccines” worth trillions of dollars. Second, Fauci was the behind-the-scenes advisor who, with his hand-picked experts, pushed the Intelligence Community to endorse a natural, animal origin to hide his dangerous research. And third, Fauci became the nation's pandemic “pundit” and publicly pushed lies, disinformation, and censorship. GOP Senator: Trump's peace deal with Iran seemed elusive Appearing on Fox News Channel on June 17th, Republican Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, expressed his approval of the deal that President Donald Trump negotiated with Iran, reports RealClearPolitics.com. SCHMITT:  “The president of the United States, President Trump, was very clear from the get-go what the mission here was, which was to ensure that Iran would never have a nuclear weapon. They have no ability to do that. And they're signing on the dotted line now, Sean, for the first time, that they're not going to do that. “And we don't need to trust them. We just need to verify that. Effectively, the president knocked out their military capability. Their Navy is at the bottom of the sea. They have no air defense. Their nuclear program is in shambles. It's nowhere near ever being started up again. And we can always go back and mow the lawn, if necessary, because we've got eyes on it. “The president has provided now, through all of that action, space for diplomacy. That has always been his North Star. There's always more things to do. We need to make sure, obviously, we're verifying all of this. But the president has pulled off something here that most experts, six months ago, wouldn't have thought was possible. And I think it's good for the American people.” FBI foiled terrorist plot against UFC 250 event at White House A terror plot targeting the Ultimate Fighting Championship event at the White House on June 14th reportedly involved those who were ready to deploy snipers and drones armed with explosives to carry out a mass casualty attack against U.S. government officials. In a June 16th statement, FBI Director Kash Patel said his agency and its law enforcement partners became aware of the potential threat on June 10. He confirmed that authorities stopped the alleged plot before it began. Patel said, "Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold. “We are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens — particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight" which drew 85,000 people to the Ellipse. James Talarico: God is non-binary; Jesus does not call us to worship Him And finally, James Talarico, the Texas Democrat candidate in the U.S. Senate race against Republican Ken Paxton, has made some bizarre claims about God and Jesus. Listen. TALARICO:  “God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between. God is non-binary.” And here's what Talarico said about Jesus. TALARICO: “Not once in the entire Bible does Jesus ask us to worship Him. All He asks is that we follow Him.” Pastor Josh Howerton, Senior Pastor of Lakepointe Church in Dallas, Texas, called James Talarico a heretic. HOWERTON: “The whole last book of the Bible is the Lamb is seated on the throne with more people than anybody can count bowing down and worshiping Him, throwing crowns before Him. And then anybody who won't do that, He's throwing them into the lake of fire. “This is not me being mean or exaggerating: he's an actual heretic, like a biblically-defined false teacher and heretic. “Politicians, since the beginning of time, have been twisting Scripture, using Scripture to try to convince people to do what they want. This is the first guy I've ever seen whose whole platform is using the Bible to convince Christians to support godless things.” Revelation 5:13 says, “Then I heard every creature in Heaven and on Earth and under the Earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, June 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2026. Pope Pius XII was dying. He knew the Church was facing a crisis that would not come from outside, but from within. In his final months, he commissioned a sweeping encyclical, Cultum Regni, "Worship of the King of Kings"—intended to condemn the theological errors already spreading through Catholic seminaries and universities. He died before it could be published. The document was buried. And the Church chose a different path. Now, newly uncovered Vatican archival research has brought the draft to light. What it reveals is stunning: Pius XII anticipated almost every theological dispute that would erupt after Vatican II. The sacrificial nature of the Mass. The authority of the magisterium. Moral relativism. Doctrinal ambiguity. Ecumenism. The relationship between Church and state. He saw the Nouvelle Théologie for what it was, Modernism dressed in new language, and he was preparing to stop it. Christians faced harassment in the largest number of countries compared to any other religion. Countries with very high levels of religious hostilities include Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Syria. Most of those countries also rank in the top 10 most oppressive countries for Christians according to Open Doors. Luke 6:22-23 says, “Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in Heaven.” Pro-family charter signed involving 20 of 54 African countries Lawmakers in Africa gathered for the Fourth African Parliamentary Conference on Family Sovereignty and Values this month in Ghana.  Attendees represented 20 out of 54 countries across the continent.  Lawmakers signed a pro-family charter at the conference, reports LifeSiteNews. The charter defends the traditional family and opposes abortion and sexually perverted lifestyles.  Britain to ban social media for kids The United Kingdom plans on banning social media for children under 16.  Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the ban on Monday which will take effect next year. The U.K. joins other countries putting restrictions on social media use for children. These countries include Australia, Brazil, Canada, and Indonesia. The U.K. ban will affect platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X. Bulgarian Christians now allowed to evangelize door-to-door The European Court of Human Rights ruled to protect door-to-door evangelism last week. The case began in Bulgaria where the government issued a broad ban on the practice.  Nicolas Bauer with the European Centre for Law and Justice told EWTN News, “Evangelizing is often viewed with suspicion in a secularized Europe. The European Court of Human Rights ruling reaffirms a basic requirement of religious freedom for believers: the right to the same freedom of expression as everyone else.” Alabama officials threaten mail-order abortion kill pill providers In the United States, the state of Alabama issued cease and desist letters to mail order abortion providers last week. The companies were illegally providing chemical abortion-inducing drugs to residents in the state.  Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall said, “Alabama's law is clear, abortion is illegal in this state. These companies are not only breaking the law, they are deceiving Alabama consumers about the very real dangers of these drugs. That stops now. Anyone who tries to exploit Alabamians for profit while flouting our laws will be prosecuted to the fullest extent permitted by law.” Habakkuk 2:9 and 12 says, “Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, That he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of disaster! … Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed, who establishes a city by iniquity!" His company SpaceX went public on Friday in the biggest initial public offering of all time. His shares in the company at the time were over $766 billion. Combined with his Tesla shares of $280 billion, his net worth pushed past the trillion-dollar mark. This comes 14 years after Musk crossed the billionaire threshold.  Gallup: 65% of Americans say religiosity benefits society And finally, a new Gallup poll found that most Americans still believe religiosity would benefit the United States. Sixty-five percent of respondents said it would be positive for society if more Americans were religious. But that's down from 75% back in 2013. Americans are divided on whether the federal government should promote moral values. Forty-five percent say the government should be involved while 50 percent say it should not be involved.  Gallup noted, “The poll comes at a time when a Republican presidential administration has sought to elevate the role of religion in public life, including by establishing the White House Office of Faith, beginning government meetings with Christian prayers, and encouraging federal workers to express their faith in the workplace.”  Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, June 18th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Then came the changes, and everything flipped.Father Richard Perricone joins John-Henry Westen to chronicle the transformation that has left the Church unrecognizable. Reverence became taboo. The sacred became optional. The priesthood became confused. And the laity, trained for generations to trust their shepherds, were suddenly told that the faith they had received could be rewritten, reimagined, or simply abandoned.Perricone does not blame Vatican II alone. He blames what came after: the systematic dismantling of Catholic identity by men who saw tradition as an obstacle and ambiguity as a virtue. The loss of the Latin Mass. It's Friday, June 12th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Hundreds of Nigerians freed from Boko Haram captivity after months Ready for some good news? Hundreds of Nigerians, who had been abducted by Boko Haram Muslim militants during a devastating March attack, have just been freed after months in captivity, reports International Christian Concern. It's one of the largest releases of hostages in the region in recent years.  Officials claim that the Nigerian army rescued 360 captives from a remote hideout in the Mandara Mountains of Borno State near the border with the country of Cameroon. However, local community leaders insist that local negotiations, rather than military action, secured their freedom. Pentagon on lock down over “air quality issue” On June 11th, the Pentagon was placed on lockdown after officials detected an “air quality issue” inside the building, reports NewsNation.com. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the War Department activated standard safety procedures, including a “shelter-in-place order for affected areas. The Pentagon has sophisticated systems to ensure the safety of the building and its occupants. Those systems have detected an air quality issue necessitating precautionary measures until we determine its significance.” Trump adds SAVE Act to Pentagon reconciliation bill Despite the fact that the U.S. Senate has failed to make progress towards passing the much-needed Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or SAVE America Act, which would secure our nation's elections, President Donald Trump is not throwing in the towel. In a post on Truth Social, he just announced a huge move to get the act passed by adding it directly to the upcoming $350 billion Pentagon reconciliation bill. This way, the legislation can clear the Senate with a simple majority, rather than the 60 votes needed under current rules. Referencing the SAVE Act, he wrote, “THE SAVE AMERICA ACT … will protect our Elections for Generations to come.  Our Warriors protect our most Sacred Rights, and Voting is at the top. Time to defend that Right for every American!” Yesterday, President Trump made these comments from the Oval Office. TRUMP: “All voters must show photo I.D.  So, you go to vote and show photo ID. Not complicated. But who could oppose it? … “All voters must show a little thing called proof of citizenship. No mail-in ballots except for illness, disability, military, or travel. So, we're being very progressive. We just don't want cheating. You see what's happening in California. They're rigging the election.” Urge your two U.S. Senator to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or SAVE Act by calling 202-224-3121. That's 202-224-3121. Suspicious newly registered homeless votes in LA Mayoral race In a suspicious turn of events to block Spencer Pratt's candidacy for Los Angeles mayor, thousands of homeless voters were registered to vote at Los Angeles  shelters — despite many not living there or the facilities not having any beds at all, reports the New York Post. As Spencer Pratt was eliminated by Nithya Raman in the mayor's race during additional counting of votes on June 8th, one drop-in center, St. Joseph Center in Venice, which had received $600,000 from Nithya Raman, had 185 registered voters at the address but offers absolutely no accommodations.  After the New York Post inquired about this suspicious activity, the photograph of Raman presenting a check to St. Joseph's was taken down from its website. The revelations have prompted U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli to say he will investigate the concerns uncovered by The New York Post and “follow the evidence” to see if the law has been broken.  A review of records shows 7,600 voters tied to homeless shelters and service providers. The largest concentration of homeless voters was at the Midnight Mission in Skid Row, where voting records show 1,160 registrations — but its website shows it only has beds for 9% of that number -- 84 men and 36 women. Something stinks in Denmark! Proverbs 17:23 says, "A wicked man takes a covert bribe from his bosom to pervert the ways of justice." ACLU asserts a “religious right” to abortion in Indiana The Thomas More Society is weighing in on a pending ACLU-inspired abortion case before the Indiana Supreme Court, urging the state's highest jurists not to recognize a so-called “right” to abortion under the guise of religious freedom, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Indiana law bans most surgical abortions. Sadly, chemical abortions persist due to mail-order Abortion Kill Pills, which the state legislature has so far been unable to quash. The ACLU suit claims that denying Indiana mothers abortions would violate Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a 2015 law that says that government may not “substantially burden a person's exercise of religion.” Indiana Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita has appealed, and the Indiana Supreme Court agreed in April to take the case. Oral arguments are set to begin in September. Thomas Olp with the Thomas Moore Society, said, “This case is a Trojan Horse. The ACLU and its clients want to call this religious liberty, but it isn't—not under any historically honest understanding of the term. From Cicero to John Locke to the framers of Indiana's Constitution, the natural law tradition that gave us religious freedom has never treated the taking of innocent life as an exercise of religion.” Missionary David Brainerd had a heart to see Indians saved And finally, on June 12, 1744, David Brainerd was ordained by the Presbyterian Church to be a missionary to the New England Indians. He first went to an Indian village on the Housatonic River in Connecticut. Then, he studied the Algonquin languages in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. According to the Generations-published Taking the Americas for Jesus, Brainerd loved the Indians which is why he wanted them to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. He said, “I taught that men are sinners. All sinners will be judged by God. Then, I told them that Christ could save them. Christ was a great Savior.  All who believe in Jesus will be saved.” Even living in a wigwam and missing many meals, Brainerd was undeterred.  Indian witch doctors tried to poison him. He asked, “Why can't your magic harm me?” Sometimes Indians trusted in Christ. But many did not want to leave their idols. In 1745, Brainerd went to an Indian tribe in New Jersey where 100 Indians converted to Christianity. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” He died from tuberculosis on October 9, 1747, at the young age of 29.  Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, June 12th, in the year of our Lord 2026. The greatest threat facing Christians is not war. It is not political upheaval. It is not even the collapse of Western civilization. The greatest threat, John-Henry Westen warns, is the Great Apostasy, the loss of faith spreading from within the Church herself.Drawing on the warnings of Pope St. John Paul II, Padre Pio, the seers of Fatima, and a host of saints and mystics, Westen argues that modern Catholics are living through a fulfillment of prophecy. Not the kind of prophecy that predicts earthquakes and wars—those have always been with us. The prophecy that should terrify every believer is the one that foretells shepherds becoming wolves, doctrine dissolving into ambiguity, and the faithful being told that sin is not sin and truth is not truth.Westen does not mince words: Pope Francis and Pope Leo have departed from historical Catholic teaching. The synodal path, the blessing of same-sex couples, the downgrading of abortion as a priority, the attack on the Latin Mass, all of it points to a Church that has turned against itself.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, June 8th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Russian pastor labeled “terrorist” for speaking against Ukraine war On May 28th, Russian authorities labeled 74-year-old Baptist pastor Yuri Sipko to be a terrorist, reports International Christian Concern. As the former head of the Union of Evangelical Baptist Christians in Russia, he has spoken out against the war in Ukraine on social media. As a result, Russia launched a criminal case against him in August 2023, claiming he was spreading false information about military actions. At the time, Sipko said,  “They are looking for me to put me in prison because I've spoken the truth that Russia waged war on Ukraine,  People are dying, and everything is being destroyed. It's criminal, and they should not be doing this.” During the investigation, Sipko's home was raided, but he managed to escape. In Matthew 5:10, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” Iran's missiles failed to hit Saudi Arabia or Bahrain On June 2nd, U.S. forces successfully defeated multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, and conducted self-defense strikes on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz in response to attempted attacks by Iran across the Middle East, reported the United States Central Command on X. Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward regional neighbors. However, all failed to hit their intended targets. Two Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait fell short or broke apart enroute, and three missiles launched at Bahrain were immediately intercepted by U.S. and Bahrain air defense forces. House resolution constrains Trump from military action against Iran In a vote of 215-208 on June 3rd, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure seeking to stop President Trump from taking further military action in Iran amid growing opposition to the war, reports the Associated Press. President Trump called the 215 representatives who passed the resolution "unpatriotic.” In a post on Truth Social, the president wrote: "In a meaningless vote, the House voted, 4 bad Republicans and all of the Dumocrats, to limit my War Powers, right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the War with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Who would do such an unpatriotic thing?" It is unclear how much legal force the House's measure will have. The White House described the move as an unconstitutional attempt to restrict presidential power. Four GOP Senators opposed Safeguard Voter Eligibility Act On June 4th, the U.S. Senate failed to pass the Safeguard Voter Eligibility Act which would require people to show documented proof of citizenship, reports Fox News. Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky voted against the motion, signaling that the SAVE America Act does not have the votes to pass. Appearing on Fox News, Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah said this. LEE: “Americans overwhelmingly support the need for voter I.D. They overwhelmingly support the need to verify citizenship from those registered to vote in this country. That's why the overwhelming majority, a super majority, of Republican voters, of Democrat voters nationwide want the S.A.V.E America Act passed. And even want it passed before the midterm elections. “That cuts across the board in people of both political parties. The only place where this is even remotely controversial is in the halls of Congress with Democrats. We've got to get this done to make our elections safe and secure again.” Indeed, according to Pew Research Center, 83% of Americans favor requiring all voters to show government-issued photo ID to vote, including 95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats. Trump beautifies Washington, D.C. Ahead of America's 250th birthday, President Donald Trump made a promise. TRUMP: “We're going to get all the graffiti off the marble. We're going to fix the roads and the medians, which are falling down all over the street. Washington, D.C. will become a symbol of beauty, security, freedom, and strength.” Specifically speaking, for nearly two decades, the Columbus Fountain in front of Washington's Union Station was nonfunctional. Now, water is flowing again after 19 years. Plus, all of the obscene graffiti that President Joe Biden had tolerated was power washed away. The work was completed thanks to President Donald Trump's executive order on "Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful." Appearing on CNN's State of the Union, Interior Secretary Doug Bergum said this. BERGUM: “The real scandal is not that we're fixing up monuments or making this capital beautiful again. The scandal should be, how in the world did we let our capital fall into such a disrepair? How did we fall into such a spot where celebrating American patriotism became partisan?” At a cabinet meeting, President Trump weighed in. TRUMP: “D.C. is looking beautiful, and the fountains are almost all open.” Most notably, the reflecting pool between the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial was in terrible disrepair.  After draining the pool and removing 12 truckloads of trash, they repaired the leaks in the pool's concrete slab and joints by applying a waterproof coating, and painted it “American flag” blue to improve the reflection.  After starting the filling process on June 4th, it was completely filled yesterday, June 7th. YouTuber announced abortion of Down syndrome baby And finally, YouTube influencer Jesse Ridgway, who has 4 million followers, is facing a massive backlash after he announced on X that he and his wife decided to abort their baby after the child was diagnosed with Down syndrome, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Horrifically, Ridgway stated that he and his wife researched Down syndrome and decided that it would be best for both the child and for his family if the baby was killed in the womb—and noted that over 90 percent of children diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted. He said, “50% of babies with Down syndrome have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. … Sadly, the list is long. … As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe, in the long-run, will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice.” Incidentally, despite frequent health difficulties, nearly 99 percent of people with Down syndrome report being happy with their lives; 96 percent like how they look; and 97 percent like who they are.  Dr. Calum Miller, a United Kingdom doctor and ethicist, said, “I'm sorry you murdered your child because he/she didn't pass quality control.” He pointed out that Ridgway had previously celebrated the fact that his dog had managed to survive a complicated surgery and was now living without kidneys. Columnist Mollie Hemingway wrote, “Killing your baby because he wasn't perfect in your eyes is so sad and dark and, yes, evil. Even if we didn't know how wonderful people with Down syndrome are. I pray you find Jesus. Life is beautiful.” And podcaster Brittany Hughes bluntly put it: “There is no way of framing this that will gain my sympathy. No poetic waxing, no begging for understanding, no tearful excuses. My heart breaks for this precious baby who was killed for the crime of having an extra chromosome by the two people who should have protected him or her with their own lives.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, June 8th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Despite his objections, despite his concerns, medical professionals moved forward with a gender transition plan that shattered his relationship with his daughter—and his trust in every institution he once believed in.This is not a story about politics. It is a story about parental authority erased, medical ethics abandoned, and a government that no longer pretends to care what mothers and fathers think. Jeff recounts the phone calls, the treatment recommendations he was powerless to stop, and the moment he realized his daughter was being treated as a project of the state rather than a child of her parents. From COVID mandates to gender ideology to the collapse of conservative leadership willing to fight back, Jeff's story is a warning. Scripture warns of a Great Apostasy. Our Lady of Fatima promised that her Immaculate Heart would triumph, but not before a period of suffering, confusion, and persecution. Father James Altman joins John-Henry Westen to argue that the signs are all around us: a Church in crisis, a hierarchy lost in ambiguity, and a world preparing to welcome a false savior. The conversation spans Fatima's delayed consecration of Russia, the ignored request to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart, and the prophecies of saints like Hildegard, Padre Pio, and Archbishop Fulton Sheen. Sheen, in particular, foresaw that the laity would one day restore the Church while clergy and bishops abandoned their posts.Altman is blunt: this is not the time for complacency. The synodal church, the replacement of confession with "listening centers," the normalization of sin, the silence of cardinals, all of it points to a spiritual collapse foretold centuries ago. But prophecy is not meant to inspire fear. It is meant to prepare. The end is not the end of the world. It is the end of the world. And for those who remain faithful, the triumph of the Immaculate Heart is already certain. The question is whether Catholics will be ready when the Antichrist makes his entrance.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Monday, June 1st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Egypt grants legal status to 191 church buildings The Egyptian government released an order the week of May 18th granting legal status to 191 church buildings that previously lacked official recognition, reports International Christian Concern. In total, 3,804 churches and related buildings have been approved since the creation of a committee to review churches in 2016, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide.  Thousands of churches and associated buildings have been built in recent decades. Still, the northeast African country of Egypt maintains a system for approving Christian places of worship that is separate from — and more difficult than — that for Sunni Muslim places of worship. According to Open Doors, Egypt is the 42nd most oppressive country worldwide for Christians. Pope Leo meets with pro-abort, pro-sex perversion Chicago mayor On May 28th, Pope Leo XIV met in a private audience with radical Chicago Democratic mayor Brandon Johnson, during which they reportedly discussed ICE raids in the city, slavery reparations, and the Iran war, but not key moral issues such as abortion and the homosexual transgender agenda, both of which Mayor Johnson supports, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The mayor has a radically pro-abortion and pro-sexual perversion record, previously pledging to offer free Abortion Kill Pills and to prosecute pro-life sidewalk counselors. And, in 2024, the mayor commemorated “National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day.” At the time, Chicago Mayor Johnson said, “We commend the bravery and resilience of abortion providers and look forward to continuing to support their efforts to ensure that reproductive rights are upheld and respected. Together, we can resist attempts to roll back the progress we have made, ensuring Chicago remains a sanctuary for choice.” Notice, he failed to mention that the choice the mother makes is the choice to murder her innocent pre-born baby boy or baby girl. In God's conversation with the prophet Jeremiah, He said, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” (Jeremiah 1:5) Supreme Court Justice Amy Barrett targeted in attempted swatting U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett was the target of an apparent “swatting” attempt after an unknown caller falsely reported gunfire at her Virginia residence, reports The Christian Post. On May 27th, Fairfax County police said that a caller contacted the department's nonemergency line claiming to have heard shots fired at Barrett's home. Officers quickly coordinated with Supreme Court Police assigned to the residence and determined the report was false. Texas Governor Abbott blasted Democrat James Talarico Appearing on Fox News Channel, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott blasted James Talarico, the Democrat Senatorial candidate, who will face off in the general election against Republican Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate this fall. Listen. ABBOTT: “Talarico himself said he has a record that he's going to run on. Let me tell you quickly about that record, about votes that he cast, not crazy things that he said. But he cast votes that support [Diversity, Equity and Inclusion] in our public schools, support defunding our law enforcement, supports boys in girls' sports, supports transition surgery for minors, supports a state income tax in the state of Texas, supports open border policies. “So, the votes he's cast set a record for how challenging he would be for any average Texan. You know, oftentimes you hear President Trump talk about a 90/10 issue, where 90% of the people are lined up on one side, 10% on the other side. Talarico's votes are on the 10% side.” How a small-town Arkansas man got God on America's money And finally, Matthew Rothert Sr., a Presbyterian furniture manufacturer and avid coin collector born in 1904, was at church in Chicago on June 21, 1953, when he believed the Holy Spirit impressed upon him the idea that the phrase "In God We Trust" should be featured on American banknotes as it did on coins, according to his daughter, Alice Rothert Nelson, reports The Christian Post. She said, "The collection plate was going around, and he felt God tell him that the coins had 'In God We Trust,' but it was the bills that went all around the world. And he believed he should get 'In God We Trust' on the bills of the paper money, and so that started the campaign." By way of background, "In God We Trust" was first engraved on U.S. coins during the Civil War, after Mark Richards Watkinson, a Baptist minister from Pennsylvania, petitioned then-Treasury Secretary Salmon Chase at the end of 1861 to promote "the recognition of the Almighty God in some form in our coins" amid the fading illusion of a short, relatively bloodless conflict. Pastor Watkinson told Chase, "You are probably a Christian. What if our Republic were now shattered beyond recognition? Would not the antiquaries, [those who study history], in succeeding centuries, rightly reason, from our part, we were a heathen nation?" He saw the increasingly brutal, intractable war as a divine chastening that could destroy the country. Expressing hope that honoring God in such a public way "would relieve us from the [disgrace] of heathenism." Watkinson noted, "This would place us openly under the divine protection we have personally claimed. From my heart, I have felt our national shame in disowning God." Salmon Chase and James Pollock, a Presbyterian minister then serving as director of the U.S. Mint, agreed with Watkinson, ultimately leading Congress to pass a law in April 1864 allowing "In God We Trust" on the one- and two-cent pieces. Pollock said, “We claim to be a Christian nation—why should we not vindicate our character by honoring the God of Nations. Our national coinage should do this. Its legends and devices should declare our trust in God—in Him who is "King of Kings and Lord of Lords." AUDIO FROM DIVINE HYMNS: “King of kings and Lord of lords. Glory Hallelujah. King of kings and Lord of lords. Glory Hallelujah.” Revelation 19:16 says, “On [Christ's] robe and on His thigh, He has this name written: 'King of kings and Lord of lords.'” The U.S. Congress passed another law in March 1865 to place the words on all gold and silver coins, which was the last act President Abraham Lincoln signed before his assassination. Nearly a century later, the motto gained renewed attention when the United States found itself embattled again during the global tensions of the Cold War. Seeing its simple declaration of faith as a necessary contrast to the atheist communism that animated the Soviet Union, Matthew Rothert followed Watkinson's example. He gave speeches, rallied support, and fired off many letters to officials, including President Dwight Eisenhower and Treasury Secretary George Humphrey, urging them to add the phrase to paper money. In a 1987 interview, Matthew Rothert, at the age of 83, said, "The Lord seemed to tell me to do this. He put the idea so strongly in my mind that I worked on it until I accomplished my goal. I realized the circulation of American coins was limited to the boundaries of the country, while U.S. paper money circulated worldwide. It looked like Americans were saying they trusted in God only a few cents' worth!" In an unusually swift and bipartisan action, the bill was on President Eisenhower's desk by July 11, 1955. Changing the master dies and printing plates at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to include "In God We Trust" would typically have been too cost-prohibitive, but, providentially, they were already set to be replaced that year to accommodate a new printing process. Paul Vaughn joins John-Henry Westen to reflect on his journey from Protestant leadership into the Catholic Church, explaining how years of theological searching, studying Church history, and enduring suffering shaped his conversion. Vaughn discusses his FBI arrest tied to pro-life activism, the personal cost of following conviction, and why he believes Christians are called to perseverance rather than political comfort. The conversation also explores Christian unity, the authority of Church tradition, and why public acts of faith and witness matter more than partisan activism.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! Anthony Stine joins John-Henry Westen to assess Pope Leo XIV's first year and whether hopes for major change in the Catholic Church are fading. The discussion examines Vatican actions involving same-sex blessing debates, synodal initiatives, Church appointments, and tensions over the Traditional Latin Mass and the Society of Saint Pius X. Concerns are raised that deeper questions surrounding authority, doctrine, and Catholic identity remain unresolved. The conversation also explores why some faithful Catholics feel increasingly discouraged or spiritually exhausted.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents! It's Friday, May 22nd, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Muslim man abducts and marries 14-year-old Christian girl A married Pakistani Muslim, 41-year-old Arshad Habib, who already had three wives, abducted a 14-year-old Christian girl on May 12th. He forcibly converted her to Islam and married her, exploiting her epilepsy and mental health vulnerabilities to sexually abuse her, reports Morning Star News. The girl's father, Abbas Masih, a daily wage laborer and member of a local Brethren church in Lahore, the Pakistani capital, said his daughter, Nisha, disappeared on May 12th while working as a domestic helper at a Muslim household. Police showed the father documents claiming Nisha had converted to Islam on February 15 and married Habib three days later. According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the eighth most oppressive country worldwide for Christians.  Send a two-sentence letter of objection to Pakistani Ambassador Rizwan Sheikh, Pakistan Embassy, 3517 International Court NW, Washington, D.C. 20008. Jeff Bezos: We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, gave CNBC co-anchor Andrew Sorkin a reality check on how ludicrous the Left's tax-the-rich scheme really is when measured up against the data during the May 20th edition of Squawk Box, reports NewsBusters.org. Sorkin tried cornering Bezos on the bevy of headlines in the media excoriating billionaires, decrying their wealth accumulation, and vilifying them for supposedly not paying their fair share in taxes. Bezos was not fazed. BEZOS: “I think what's going on is that it's kind of a tale of two economies. So, you have a bunch of people in this country who are doing really well. But you also have a bunch of people in this country who are struggling -- rent, groceries.  “A nurse in Queens, who makes $75,000 a year, pays more than $12,000 a year in taxes. Does that really make sense? How about we start by having the nurse in Queens not pay taxes at all.  “The bottom half of income earners in this country pay only 3% of the taxes. The top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of all the tax revenue. We don't have a revenue problem in this country. We actually have a spending problem.” Jeff Bezos gave an example of how spending more money is not necessarily an iron-clad guarantee of fixing a problem. BEZOS: “The New York City school system: They spend $44,000 per student. That's 30% more per student than other big cities like Chicago, L.A., and Boston. And it's three times more than Miami and Houston. By the way, New York City doesn't get better outcomes.  “If we ran Amazon the way New York City runs their school system, your packages would take six weeks to arrive, we'd have to charge you a $100 delivery fee, and then, when the package did finally arrive, it'd have the wrong item in it anyway.” Homosexual former Congressman Barney Frank died Former Democratic Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts, a self-avowed homosexual, died May 19th at the age of 86 after entering hospice care at his home in Maine last month due to congestive heart failure, reports The Western Journal. According to The New York Times, he came out of the sexual perversion closet publicly in an interview with The Boston Globe in the spring of 1987, saying, "If you ask the direct question: 'Are you gay?' the answer is: 'Yes. So what?' " He was the first open homosexual in Congress and the first one to be faux married in July 2012. Frank met his faux “husband,” Jim Ready, 30 years his junior, at a homosexual political fundraiser in Maine.   Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press in March 2015, Congressman Frank was asked this question by Chuck Todd. TODD:  “You're trying to answer this conundrum. Gay rights were once reviled publicly and Congress was revered. Now, those attitudes have flipped. How did that happen?” FRANK: “Our reality, as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender people, beat the prejudice. The essential mechanism is there, that we stopped hiding. And it turned out we weren't what the stereotype was.  “There was a point when the notion that I could get married to Jim [Ready] while I was still in Congress, would have been the most bizarre possibility. And by the time I got married, someone said, ‘Well, was it controversial that you get married while you were still in Congress?' And the answer was, ‘Yes, it was. A lot of my colleagues were mad that they didn't get invited.'” TODD: (laughs) In an attempt to deflect from the importance of legislating morality on social issues, like homosexual faux marriage and abortion, Congressman Frank said, “The issue is not that morals be applied to public policy. It's that conservatives bring public policy to spheres of our lives where it should not enter.” But Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Barney Frank retired from Congress in 2013 and went on to serve as a political commentator, writer, and public figure. Colorado teacher prohibited 7th grader from reading pro-life poem in class And finally, a Colorado teacher at Drake Middle School refused to allow a seventh-grade student to present her pro-life poem in class because it was deemed “offensive,” reports LifeSiteNews.com. GIRL: “My teacher assigned an assignment in class to write a slam poem about a conflict in the world that we are passionate about. I chose life. I chose this topic because it's important to me and my family. In my poem, I met all of the criteria. I got reputable resources. And I included everything that I needed in my poem.” The opening of the 13-year-old's poem said, “A life is a life, no matter how small. Seventy-three million people have been killed in one year when they are completely innocent humans. They never get to see the light of day before they are cast away.  They did nothing wrong except exist and were dismissed. People say women need health care but never think how unfair. They kill baby for simply being there! The Word of God says [in Psalm 139:13], ‘You knit me together in my mother's womb.'  How come we never listen to this and try to send them to the tomb?” The teacher reportedly tried to kick the girl out of class during other students' presentations which slammed the Second Amendment and championed sexual perversion.  The girl's mother said her own mother became pregnant at age 14 and chose life, resulting in strong pro-life convictions in her own family. Diogo explores whether a nation can remain culturally Catholic while becoming increasingly shaped by secular values. Using Portugal as a case study, he contrasts declining religious practice with signs of renewal found in families, converts, pilgrims, and growing devotion to Fatima and traditional expressions of the faith. Rather than promising national revival, the Fatima message is presented as pointing toward a faithful remnant preserving belief through difficult times. The discussion argues that modern confusion cannot be solved by institutions alone, but through prayer, family life, and spiritual discipline.HELP SUPPORT WORK LIKE THIS: https://give.lifesitenews.com/?utm_source=SOCIAL U.S. residents!
