At the end of December, we all tend to feel a bit “spent”. In this episode, Caitlyn and Diana talk about a financial fast. Fasting is most commonly associated with abstention from food, although it can also take the form of giving up other comforts. Starting on January 1st, Caitlyn and Diana encourage our listeners to participate in a fast to both help the holiday spending exhaustion and grow in prayer. The steps to this fast include 1. Identify your needs. 2. Keep track of all your spending. 3. Focus on contentment. 4. Grow in prayer. Will you be joining Caitlyn and Diana on this fast? Email us at Podcast@CompassCatholic.org or follow the Compass Catholic Facebook page. We’d love to hear your personal financial fasting story!   Episode Guiding Principle:   Ezra 8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast, there by the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from him a safe journey for ourselves, our children, and all our possessions. Ezra 8:23 So we fasted, seeking this from our God, and it was granted.   To learn more about Compass Catholic, visit CompassCatholic.org   Click here for the Compass Catholic 30 Day Income and Expense Tracker   Happy Money by Elizabeth Dunn   Busted Halo Podcast
