Sheila Young and Jeri Taylor-Swade both have been SeneGence Distributors for 20 years now. I felt very fortunate to have my Dad, Lew Herndon and my Step-Mom, Susan come for a visit recently and as we were talking about life experiences, the subject of owning your own business and being an entrepreneur came up. Both of them owned their own businesses (separately)  for almost 40 years! That's almost 80 years of experience between them! The wisdom that they have is evident and the example that they set for me was huge as I was growing up and then as I myself became an entrepreneur and owner of a home-based business in Direct Selling. Business is Business no matter what kind you own and business principles are very consistent through any kind of business. I asked them if they would consider recording a Podcast with me and at first they both shied away as they didn't understand what a PodCast really was and what the process would entail. As soon as I explained to them what and how it would be done, they jumped on board as the Risk Takers, and Visionaries that they were and are to this day even though both are retired now.  I think you will totally enjoy and learn from my parents as I have throughout my life! As the Leader of the International Pink Power Queendom Team it is my privilege and honor to host a Team Retreat every year and this year was in Oklahoma. It was so extra special as we had women from the USA, Canada and Australia meet up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where the SeneGence MidWest Corporate Office and Distribution Center is, plus the ROK Ranch owned by Ben and Joni Kante (Founder and CEO of SeneGence) which is the Kante's home while in OK.  Joni so graciously hosted us as a team for a day of Training, Food and Fun. What CEO of a Billion Dollar Company takes the time to invest into each and every distributor in the comfort of her home? Representing a truly International Team, the Pink Power Queendom was recognized by Joni as the FIRST ever International Team to come to the ranch. After the retreat was officially over and everyone was about to head home via airport I decided that it would be fantastic for the girls still at the hotel to share some of their takeaways from our time together. The sound quality is not the best as it was recorded in a hotel room, but what these girls say is priceless! EVERY TEAM LEADER SHOULD BE AS BLESSED AS I AM TO HAVE SUCH AN AMAZING TEAM! I AM TRULY HUMBLED and realize the POWER of coming together as a team! GO PINK POWER! This is more than Direct Sales, more than selling LipSense, more than making money...It's about the SeneSisterhood and the bonds that are created! Some will end up to last a lifetime!

Jeri Taylor-Swade, Founding Pioneer and First Queen of SeneGence International was privileged to  interview  Joni Rae Rogers-Kante the Founder and CEO of SeneGence.  In April of this year, Joni and Jeri will  be celebrating the 20th year anniversary of the company  along with thousands upon thousands of Independent Distributors Company-wide.  As Jeri and Joni spent an afternoon at Joni's California home, they  recorded thoughts, memories & stories of the past and insights into the future of the company. There were tears and laughter as they both recalled some funny times and some challenging periods of building SeneGence from nothing to what is today. J

It really doesn't matter if it is in the first week or month of the New Year, although choosing your word for the year in January is a great way to kick off your year...Choosing a WORD to live by is powerful no matter when you do it....Just do it.  Most people want to change something from the previous year, and arguably the First Day or Month of a New Year is best, but change is possible at anytime! Focus is required though. The key is getting clarity and focus first so that the word you choose as "YOUR WORD" will keep your attention and you will stay committed to it. Boy has technology changed the way Direct Sellers do business! When I started in Direct Sales almost 20 years ago we didn't even have email yet! In the business of Direct Selling, the principles of the business model are the same in that YOU as a Direct Seller need to always remember this is a people business, a relationship business, a "Belly to Belly" business. Add in all of the technological advancements of how you and your company are able to reach prospective customers and team members, it is huge! Direct Selling is a worldwide business model and I find that because I have team members that are in my organization around the world, I heavily rely on technology to reach them, train them, and create a bond of friendship and team spirit.

 I was honored to be interviewed by Josiah and Madelyn Sifuentes of the Lippy Supply Podcast where they asked me to tell my story as a Pioneer SeneGence Distributor and my journey learning how to be a Direct Seller. I tell funny stories, memories and truths...You need to learn how to keep going...Persistence... how to Keep on Keeping On! Stories of Joni Rogers-Kante, Stories of me and my experiences as a founding distributor. It's easy to forget that it started 20 years ago for SeneGence and for me....The Sisterhood we now know as the SeneSisterhood started way back at the beginning...it is a culture that no other Multi-Level company has.....Obstacles along the way, trying new things, changing with the times, and being Duplicatable...I learned to shift my thinking... to grow and go! Work toward building a Legacy.....When you are stuck take massive action. It might take a Mindset shift..These are all little tidbits of wisdom found in this podcast.
