I sat down for a solo Podcast this round. My aim was to simply go over my thoughts on the previous year of episodes and to set my intentions for the upcoming shows. I hope to restate my goals for the Podcast regularly so as to hone in more and more on what it is I am doing and why. It felt awkward to converse to a hypothetical audience by myself but I hope the message comes across. Looking forward to dropping some more along side of some guests both new and old. Owner of The Floatation Centre on King Street Halifax, The first location for sensory deprivation tanks in Atlantic Canada. We had a great time talking about her history as a human and as a business owner and what inspired her to get into Floating as a business model. From there the conversation took on a life of its own and we go back in forth exploring ideas and philosophies about Humans, our Culture, Psychology, the seemingly imminent emergence of sophisticated AI and more. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron and Mel whilst in Toronto on my cross-Canada backpacking trip. Fast forward to 2018 and the pair of them are on tour to the East Coast from big ol Trawna. We’ve been accused of being echo-chambering right wing circle jerkers, nazi’s, being mentally unstable, uneducated, naive and downright reprehensible as a by product of us refusing to let slide the increasingly silly ramblings of the Social Justice Warriors. Or Neo-Marxists. Or The Tarantulas as Nietzsche would have described them. I have personally invited all of the folks I have engaged in debate with onto the podcast. None of them want to talk. Hopefully one day they will. But in the mean time, you’ll just have to deal with this alt-right circle jerk. Watch out, it gets messy. ;)
