I sat down for a solo Podcast this round. My aim was to simply go over my thoughts on the previous year of episodes and to set my intentions for the upcoming shows. I hope to restate my goals for the Podcast regularly so as to hone in more and more on what it is I am doing and why. It felt awkward to converse to a hypothetical audience by myself but I hope the message comes across. Looking forward to dropping some more along side of some guests both new and old. Hope you all enjoy. Who ever you are. ✌️

Number 20 is up! It was an honour to sit down and converse with a very special guest, Lindsay McPhee. Owner of The Floatation Centre on King Street Halifax, The first location for sensory deprivation tanks in Atlantic Canada. We had a great time talking about her history as a human and as a business owner and what inspired her to get into Floating as a business model. From there the conversation took on a life of its own and we go back in forth exploring ideas and philosophies about Humans, our Culture, Psychology, the seemingly imminent emergence of sophisticated AI and more. I hope this was the first instalment in a series of conversations with Lindsay. It was wonderful to have you on! Be sure to follow her and her amazing business on Instagram: @lindsay902 @thefloatcentreAnd to check out their website to book your float: https://thefloatationcentre.ca/ You won’t regret it!All the best! Thanks for listening. ✌️

Anton returns to the podcast once again to shoo the shit like we always do. This conversation goes into the problem of homelessness and exploring how much is a state of mind vs. authentic mental illness and genuinely hard done by folks. The podcast may have gone a little off the rails when we decided to take it on the road to pick up my lovely girlfriend Robin from work. I’ll let you folks be the judge of that. Thanks for listening! Andrew hey and I always had a great chemistry together and this podcast captured our dynamic very well.Hope folks enjoy the listen! Thanks for the visit Andrew! Until next time.

Glen joins the Podcast for Round 2! This podcast managed to hold to it some stream of continuity that we were both proud of. Lots of cool information about Beer Brewing and the history of brewing this ancient drink. We also go off on many tangents where we discuss work, music, psychology and life in general. The conversation was stimulating and a pleasure to record. Be sure to check out Glen and his dank beer on Instagram @beothuk_brewingThanks Glen! Lookin forward to the next one!

I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron and Mel whilst in Toronto on my cross-Canada backpacking trip. Fast forward to 2018 and the pair of them are on tour to the East Coast from big ol Trawna. We set up this podcast over the past few months and conversation didn’t disappoint. We talked at length about their background as people and musicians. The ins and outs of the music industry. How social media plays into the business and the burdensome reality of modern day artists wearing all the hats so to speak. From Writing and honing your skill, to recording, producing, promotion, booking agent, PR, management, tour managing, performing, marketing, The modern artist does it all and funds it all. No easy task. The later half of the podcast dipped into broader and deeper subjects like how social media affects the kids of today, addiction counselling, depression and suicide, and pursuing ones dreams. It was really easy to talk to these two and I hope it is just as easy to listen. Don’t miss their Halifax Debut TONIGHT! @ Menz & Mollyz for some sick pop and hip hop from TO. Kyrk joins the podcast for a 3rd time. The conversation flows naturally as always through a myriad of subjects. Talking with Kyrk always immediately turns into a discussion on deep subjects in life. We both seem to be trying figure out how to live and talking with him often helps me sort myself out more from a selfish perspective. These conversations have been of huge benefit to me. Hope yall enjoy if you decide to listen for some weird reason. Be sure to check out Kyrks crazy Rock Band called Outlyrs. Insta: @kyrkfield Website: www.outlyrsband.com

Nikki Martin joins the podcast! I’ve been attending Nikki’s classes at On The Mat Yoga for about a year now. Her classes never fail to disappoint and nor did this conversation. We discussed everything big and small, trivial and profound about life and how to live. I found myself at many points in the conversation where my mind was operating at the fringes of what I think I understand and reaching out into the unknown to try to piece new ideas together. We were all doing that during this dialogue. This was another one of my favourites to record. Thank you so much for all the lessons and for inviting us all into your home that wonderful Friday evening. Be sure to catch Nikki’s classes around Halifax! She teaches at Shanti Hot Yoga in Bedford as well as On The Mat on Oxford and I’m sure I am forgetting a few others. Mr. Szeto and I met years ago playing shows together in our respective metal bands. We hit it off and always seemed to enjoy getting into conversation together. The man is a beautiful bass playing, financial advising, Cape Breton boy. He has a lot of wisdom he embodies about pursuing goals, failing, learning, and trying again. Thus is the road to success and mastery. The Conversations covers that and many other subjects from Psychedelics, human nature, and some absolutely deadly and all crushing marxist criticism. Hope you enjoy the listen! We certainly enjoyed recording it. Thanks for Beers Jason!

Michael, Anton and myself have found ourselves in some insanely heated and incredibly unproductive socio-political debates over the recent months. We’ve been accused of being echo-chambering right wing circle jerkers, nazi’s, being mentally unstable, uneducated, naive and downright reprehensible as a by product of us refusing to let slide the increasingly silly ramblings of the Social Justice Warriors. Or Neo-Marxists. Or The Tarantulas as Nietzsche would have described them. I have personally invited all of the folks I have engaged in debate with onto the podcast. None of them want to talk. Hopefully one day they will. But in the mean time, you’ll just have to deal with this alt-right circle jerk. Watch out, it gets messy. ;)

Geordie Haley is a professional guitar player, teacher, and composer with no shortage of insight about the world and wisdom in regards to human beings and the art we create. I studied guitar under him for 2 years at the NSCC Waterfront Campus Music Arts Program. Our lessons tended towards a therapy session more often than not. I always left feeling refreshed and confident in my ability to prevail in the college struggle. This conversation was no different. We discuss Music, the arts in general, the creative process, the state of the youth, hard work, leadership, Canadian History and much more. I hope you enjoy the conversation, it was a sheer joy to record. I hope the background noise isn’t too bothersome. We recorded this at Java Blend in Halifax. Huge thanks to Geordie for his time. Peace!

Dylan Wallace returns to the Podcast. Dylan is a guitar player in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is a deep thinking and charismatic boy with lots of experience with Psychedelic experiences. We shoot the shit about old stories from the road, exploring our minds and how exactly psychedelics did and continue to have a transformative impact on who we are. Hope you enjoy, although you likely won’t. I think it would make more sense that you wouldn’t but what do I know.

Kyrk Dodds is has been one of my best friends for years. A true partner in crime and brother in arms. We met during our studies of music at NSCC Waterfront Campus. We discuss the frozen lake dip we just did, music, performing, space travel, psychedelics and more whilst passing the whiskey bottle back and forth. Talking with Michael McPhee is always beyond a pleasure. He is on the front lines of cancer research at Dalhousie University in Halifax NS. He has spent many years performing on the bass guitar in bands including former prog rock Halifax giants Oceanic. He is a certified cool guy. Mike and I used to be roommates and have had many deep and thought provoking conversations about a wide spread of topics like the middle eastern conflicts, psychedelic substances, music, and crazy cell biology stuff. Here is one of those conversations . Hope you fine folks enjoy! :)
