Auf der Kandidatenliste landen unter anderem Limp Bizkits Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water, Gojiras From Mars To Sirius und Ayreons Konzeptalbum The Human Equation. Empty seats can cancel a tour faster than bad reviews, yet rock touring is still printing money. We start with a rapid-fire rundown of newly announced rock and metal tours and quickly end up doing what real fans do: clicking past the headline to check official artist sites, compare dates, and figure out whether these runs are truly “fall tours” or just a handful of shows with a catchy label. From there, we dig into the live music economy: major tour earners, the reality of Ticketmaster seat maps packed with available seats, and why some artists overbook venues they can't fill. We talk about how early tour cancellations protect budgets, but also how they disappoint the people who already made plans, bought tickets, and just wanted a loud night out.We also get into the messy, behind-the-scenes stuff that shapes concerts: leaked and unfinished recordings (and whether fans should listen at all), curfews and fines that can chop an encore, and the kind of production nightmare that happens when a show gets hit with a power outage mid-set. Then we lighten it up with our question of the day on favorite hair metal bands, run through the latest country and rock chart countdowns, and hit July music birthdays. To close, Tiffany shares her new book, Networking Your Way To The Big Stage, including the writing process, imposter syndrome, and how small relationship-building habits can multiply opportunities for artists and anyone working in the music industry. Denver, CO progressive metal band Entropist share their new single “Intense Warmth,” as the follow‑up to their debut single “Creation.” Both tracks appear on the band's upcoming debut full‑length album, The Vision, arriving June 26. The album's artwork comes from a hand‑painted canvas by guitarist Solomon's wife, Shannon Bortfeldt, an impressionist depiction of the story's opening moments and the emotional weight of its darker themes.Formed through a decade-long bond, Entropist began in 2013 when guitarist/vocalist Solomon Smith, vocalist Parker Kitching, bassist Jeremy Smith, and drummer Matt Gleason met as college roommates and neighbors in Greeley, Colorado. After years of jamming, drifting apart, and reconnecting during the COVID era, the band solidified its lineup with the addition of guitarist Will Vinson, whose creativity helped elevate the project into its fully realized form.“The Vision” is a bold, cinematic progressive metal odyssey built on a dual-concept narrative: one story set in a fantastical world of demons, celestial beings, and the void, and another grounded in real-life themes of mental struggle, nihilism, and the search for meaning. Written largely from the perspectives of characters within the story, the album is designed to be experienced from start to finish — with recurring motifs, callbacks, and evolving themes woven throughout.Musically, the record spans progressive metal, djent, deathcore, metalcore, and post-hardcore influences, while maintaining a cohesive identity. Fans of Between the Buried and Me, Meshuggah, Opeth, and The Contortionist will find familiar touchpoints, yet Entropist's voice remains distinctly their own. To bring the album's massive sound to life, the band partnered with acclaimed producer Jamie King, whose work with BTBAM and The Contortionist helped define modern progressive metal. His mixing and mastering elevated the album's intricate compositions into a unified, powerful whole. The band's first single, “Creation,” introduces listeners to the album's final narrative arc. The track blends bright, triumphant chords, intricate rhythms, soaring vocals, and one of the heaviest breakdowns on the record. Lyrically, it explores themes of building something new, forging meaning, and shaping the world one wants to see. The lyric video showcases the song's emotional intensity and conceptual depth, offering fans their first immersive step into the universe of “The Vision.”Click Here to Subscribe to The Adventures of Pipeman for PERKS, BONUS Content & FREE GIVEWAYS! Take some zany and serious journeys with The Pipeman aka Dean K. They understand the struggles and they are  learning how to navigate a changing industry day by day like a lot of other musicians. An interesting thing to note might be the lyrical theme behind their most recent single. The song itself is based on Sky King, Richard "Bebo" Russell, and the Horizon Air incident of 2018. It's not so much a pastiche or allegory so much as an adaptation relayed through an artistic lens. The BreakdownMost bands have a story, but few have the wild, hilarious, and sometimes downright bizarre adventures these guys do. Imagine walking into a garage and being told “Hey, you're the vocalist now” — without asking. Or the time their van was attacked by skinwalkers on a Texas highway. If you think “crazy band stories” are just a cliché, think again. This episode with Know Suffer is a no-holds-barred, no-suffer (see what I did there?) look into a band that's been around for nearly three decades, witnessing everything from skinwalkers to crashed vans, all while keeping it real, raw, and deeply musical. You'll discover how a band's evolution is more than just riffs and lyrics — it's about respect, resilience, and surviving the chaos that comes with being real in a scene that's always changing. We break down their wildest road trip stories, from a fog so thick it felt like a horror movie, to a mechanic who fixed their fuel pump with a sparepart — in 40 minutes flat. Jay and Toast spill the tea on what it's like to be the “big fish” in El Paso's scene, their secret to longevity, and how they thrive amidst Texas's massive, sprawling tour circuits. We delve into their latest album “The Curse of Care,” exploring the songwriting process, lyrical depth, and how they stay true to their roots—metalcore, death metal, and everything in between. Plus, get the scoop on their future plans — a Texas takeover, a legendary Texas BBQ recipe, and why “the more you suffer, the more you know.” Whether you're a hardcore fan or just love stories about bands risking it all on the road, this episode is packed with heart, humor, and some seriously good riffs.Ready for stories that are just as heavy as the music? Perfect for fans of wild tour tales, underground scenes, and the honest grit behind the riffs. Hit play and join the chaos — these are the tales you won't believe, told straight from the heart of a true Texas metal scene. The Curse of Care is Know//Suffer's latest EP, released March 13, 2026 via Silent Pendulum Records.Episode InfoIG: https://www.instagram.com/knowsuffer/Website: https://silentpendulumrecords.com/collections/know-sufferATXMP Website: https://atxmp.transistor.fm/Sponsors / AffiliatesCome and Take It Productions: https://www.comeandtakeitproductions.comCome and Take It Live: https://www.comeandtakeitlive.com/No Control Radio: https://www.klbjfm.com/show/no-control/Chapters00:00 Introduction to Know//Suffer01:59 The Formation of Know//Suffer05:39 Life as a Metal Band in El Paso11:23 Navigating the Music Scene Dynamics16:54 Road Trip Stories and Experiences21:02 Strange Encounters on the Road22:31 The Life of a Drummer24:14 Unexpected Mechanical Failures26:22 The Texas Music Scene27:56 The EP Release Party34:45 Defining Success in Music39:42 The Evolution of Seeker and Personal Connections42:04 The Concept of Dad Rock and Its Transformation45:06 Exploring New Music and Creative Processes46:55 The Depth of Lyrics and Their Impact52:18 The Journey of No Suffer and Musical Diversity01:00:15 The Exclusive Beater Drop01:01:22 Caffeine and Good Vibes01:02:19 Midsommar and Movie Experiences01:03:05 Merch Ideas and Creative Concepts01:05:16 Future Plans and Austin Shows01:07:25 Shoutouts and Social Media Presence01:15:36 The Power of Music and Community01:17:42 Barbecue and Culinary Connections

Pipeman chats with Coosh (vocals) and Pete Rizzi (bass) from New Jersey's red hot heavy rock/metal band WHO ON EARTH who will be releasing their new album, It Takes The Village, on May 8thCurrent Singles: VigilanceFor Fans Of: Iron Maiden, Dio, Queensryche, Ozzy, Ghost, ClutchWho On Earth cut its teeth through relentless gigging across the New York tri-state area, with founding members Coosh and Pete previously tearing up stages as MadHaus. During 2020, the longtime collaborators shifted focus from covers to original material, quickly writing ten songs and entering Sonic Stomp Studio with producer Mike Orlando (Category 7, Adrenaline Mob). Joined by drummer Joe D'Aqui, the group crafted a heavy, story-driven sound rooted in influences like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Tool. Despite pandemic delays, the sessions yielded their debut full-length album Blame', released in October 2022.Following the addition of guitarists Bruce Gatewood and Johnny James Barone, the band gained traction with a heavier reimagining of Toto's “Hold the Line,” now their most-streamed track. Lineup changes continued with drummer Howie Fallon joining in 2024, bringing renewed chemistry and power, though tragedy struck later that year with the passing of Gatewood. In late 2024, Jimmy Kocha joined, filling the role of co-lead guitarist, solidifying the lineup that is currently in full force today. Honoring his legacy, the band pushed forward, releasing the Smoke & Mirrors EP in March 2025—a sharp, socially reflective six-song release. The group is currently at work on a new full-length album, slated for release in early 2026.Click Here to Subscribe to The Adventures of Pipeman for PERKS, BONUS Content & FREE GIVEWAYS! Pipeman in the Pit is a music, festival, and interview segment of The Adventures of Pipeman Radio Show (#pipemanradio) and from The King of All Festivals while on The Pipeman Radio Tour. Pipeman in the Pit features all kinds of music and interviews with bands & music artists especially in the genres of Heavy Metal, Rock, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, Goth, Industrial, Alternative, Thrash Metal & Indie Music. Self-released and produced by Bobby Malone , the record captures the band at their most dynamic and fearless yet—blending crushing riffs with expansive atmospherics to create a sound that is both heavy and hypnotic. Since their formation in 2019, Takipnik has carved out a unique space within the alt-metal and post-metal scenes, balancing aggression with melody and atmosphere. Their earlier works—including their debut EP The Biggest (2021) and the full-length This Hypocrisy (2023)—set the stage for what has now become their most ambitious project to date. The new album weaves together heavy synth-driven grooves, soaring atmospheres, and emotionally charged post-rock textures, making for a powerful and immersive listening experience. “ Awakened is the culmination of our love for heavy riffs and atmospheric metal, delivering a versatile, immersive blend of songs that traverse alt-metal, post-metal instrumentals, and post-rock expansiveness.” — Bobby Malone With its mix of crushing alt-metal energy and atmospheric depth, Awakened is recommended for fans of bands who thrive in the space between heavy and ethereal. A song can be catchy, polished, and still leave you cold. Another can hit one weird synth moment and suddenly your brain is locked in. We lean into that tension while we keep our Women's Month run going, spotlighting women artists and women-fronted acts across K-pop, Thai pop, Japanese reggae, and K-rock.We start with EVERGLOW's “Code,” talking through what changes when a group moves companies and shrinks from six members to four. The track has a club-ready pulse and a glossy K-pop build, but we don't just stamp it “bop” and move on. We argue about whether pop “generic” is a flaw or the whole point, and why certain melodies, textures, and vocal choices either stick for days or slide right off. From there, we chase a music industry mystery with PRETZELLE's “Ready or Not,” a bright Thai pop song that shows up as a new release even though the group has disbanded. That opens a deeper conversation about global release dates, labels, and how fans experience music discovery now. Then Akane's “No More Cry” shifts the entire mood with Japanese reggae and dancehall energy, delivering a message about unity and choosing community when the world feels split. Finally, we throw the “monkey wrench” into the playlist: ChRocktikal's “Peace,” a brand-new rock band fronted by Dreamcatcher's Lee Siyeon. If you miss the feel of classic heavy rock and early metal with clean, controlled powerhouse vocals, this one hits hard and makes the live-show temptation very real.Subscribe for more women in music picks, share this with a friend who needs new releases, and leave a review with the one track you're replaying most.EVERGLOW Instagram X YouTube CODEPRETZELLE Instagram X YouTube Ready or Not?Akane Instagram X YouTube NO MORE CRYChRocktikal Instagram X YouTube PEACESupport the showPlease help Music Elixir by rating, reviewing, and sharing the episode. Ever wondered what it takes to bridge the worlds of punk, literature, rock climbing, and cinematic music videos? On this episode of Bringin' It Backwards, Adam sits down with Nik Leuthold of the band NONEXISTER for an honest conversation that pulls back the curtain on an extraordinary artistic journey. Growing up in Zurich with a feminist author as a mother, Nik was a published co-author by age 12, and soon found himself immersed in the gritty, heart-driven world of DIY punk and hardcore scenes. But his story didn't stop there—rock climbing and running a venue in the Spanish mountains followed, before returning to Switzerland to launch NONEXISTER and craft a debut album where every music video feels like a short film. Nik dives deep into how his literary upbringing shapes his songwriting, why collaborating openly sparks the best art, and the lengths the band goes to create jaw-dropping visuals—including a single-shot music video featuring a freediver holding her breath for four minutes. From writing fiction and theater to pushing boundaries in music and video, Nik's story is a testament to creative evolution and collaboration. If you're a musician, artist, or just love stories about pursuing creative dreams from every angle, this episode will leave you inspired—and might just change the way you think about what's possible as an artist. Listen in, and don't forget to subscribe to Bringin' It Backwards for more real conversations with the artists shaping the future of music.

Author Tim Kirk (All His Damned Mothers Sun, The Feral Boy Who Lives In Griffith Park, Burnt, Christ Never Showed Up, AND films- The MIami Vice Incident, The Nightmare, The Mystery of Durango, Sex Madness Revealed, Room 237, Shudder, The El Duce Tapes) was disgusted with club promoters ripping off bands on the Sunset Strip, so he decided to play them at their own game.
