Most of us (especially women) have a "trouble" area or some part of our body that bugs us.  That we wish would change or go away all together.  The part of our body that used to look different and is the image we replay in our mind and, or, are continuously chasing, desperate to look like "that" again.  Hear me out.  This is not about vanity.  The way I feel about my body physically is a symbol of how I haven't been taking care of my body.  It symbolizes inconsistency in the process.  It symbolizes choosing choices from a place of comfort, not necessarily what's the overall good for my body--and most of all mind.  Let me know if any of these resonate for you!  Share with a friend &  tag this episode @amyraenutritionThe waitlist is now open for The Promise P.A.C.K. What I don't talk about is the mental and emotional turmoil that I experienced for the majority of my career.  In the recent retirement announcement of my previous coach, I had so many feelings bubble up inside me.  Feelings of sadness, resentment, and questioning why my experience was the way it was.  What part did I play?  What part do I play now to deal with this instead of pushing it out of sight, out of mind? This is my first step forward in moving through this.  This is my step forward in speaking my truth to facilitate healing.  If you are going through anything similar, my heart goes out to you. On this solo episode of The Chronic Athlete, I talk about stress.  And not how we normally think about stress as in our jobs, our relationships, our day to day responsibilities, but our perceived stress.  Perceived stress is stress that we place on ourselves--such as worrying about circumstances or outcomes that haven't happened, always jumping to worst case scenarios, and stewing in guilt, shame, or regret within our past.  Perceived stress is our reaction to our reality.  It is a pattern that we have developed over our lives and most of us walk around unaware of how much perceived stress we are putting on ourselves and how much it's impacting our health.  When we think of reducing stress, we think of self care, vacations, and setting boundaries for toxic relationships.  These are all good and pieces of reducing stress, but we also have to acknowledge the stress we implement on ourselves every day.Perceived stress stems from our thoughts.  Where our thoughts go, our energy flows.  What energy are you putting out into the universe?  If we are always jumping ahead to every way something can go wrong, we are placing our focus on finding all the ways that something did in fact, go wrong.  If we change our thoughts, we change our focus.  If we change our focus, we change our perspective.  If we change our perspective, we can change how we experience life.Take a screen shot of this episode & tag me @coachamyrae on Instagram.  To show my appreciation of your support, I would love to gift you with a free coffee/tea!

On this episode of The Chronic Athlete I interview one of my business mentors Lacy Shea Healey.  Lacy has mentored me from afar via her Instagram presence for over a year.  That's her magic.  Lacy has a way of being brutally honest and yet, you still want to be her bestie.  She has changed the lives of thousands of women within the past ten years of running her own nutrition coaching business and is now transitioning to leading other women to grow their impact in their own way--not hers.  She is a wife, bad ass mama, and a no B.S. business mentor.  She has battled through years of suffering via misdiagnosis and pushing her body to her physical limits just to feel alive.  We discuss how her training for a bikini competition was her first step in her healing and how her adopting her daughters literally saved her life.  Do yourself a favor and follow her @mycoachlacy & @parentpreneuring ASAP and tag me @coachamyrae to share your biggest takeaway's from this episode. Share this episode with a friend that could use Lacy's wisdom & leadership today.

On this episode of The Chronic Athlete I had the honor of interviewing Emilee Roberts.  I found Emilee on Instagram via a reel about growth.  The way she depicted her weight loss journey in sixty seconds was so genuine and honest about how health takes patience, resilience, and isn't done overnight.  I took a chance and asked if she'd be interested in sharing her full story on The Chronic Athlete. Emilee is a wife and mother of 4 children.  She is one of the top leaders in her network marketing company and one heck of a baker.  We talk about how one decision to bet on herself 6 years ago led her to personal development and living the best version of herself today.  Her passion is to help other women to re-write their own stories to be able to go after their goals while gaining confidence along the way. If Emilee's story resonates with you as well, we'd love to hear it!  Take a screenshot of this episode and tag me @coachamyrae and Emilee @emileeroberts11 and let us know what you loved about this episode.

4: Identifying Barrier's to Create Purpose

In this solo episode of The Chronic Athlete, I discuss the barriers that have been holding me back from true growth.  Barrier's that I have identified as standing in the way of the goals that I say I have and who I say I want to be.  My hope is by identifying my barrier's, I can inspire you to identify yours so you can find solutions to break down those barriers and develop sustainable habits.  Why is this so important?  If we aren't taking action towards something--if we aren't making progress--this is when we feel stuck.  This is where we can get into ruts and before we know it, a year has gone by.  If we can eliminate barriers and start taking steps everyday toward our goals, we begin to create purpose.  I'd love to hear your takeaways, and if you're willing, I'd love to hear what barrier's you have identified in your life.  Take a screen shot and tag me on Instagram with your thoughts @coachamyrae.
