They say life is what happens when you're busy making other plans, and that was exactly the case for Eddie Mazzu. Growing up in blue-collar Buffalo, NY, Eddie had examples of hard work all around him. That's simply the area's culture, but unfortunately, it doesn't always equate to a desired life. After 10 years as an ironworker, performing hard manual labor day in and day out, Eddie was injured on the job. This injury would prove to be one of the most challenging times of his life, but the catalyst that was needed to make a major change. Quickly realizing that he had to be his own biggest advocate to get the care he needed, he turned his passion of hard work and helping others into a second career as a lawyer! (Who does that??) In this episode, we discuss that career shift, what it was like going back to school at a later age, what hard work and leadership mean to him, and how he has been able to craft a life for himself, his beautiful wife, and his awesome kids that they all love.
