Summer League impressions from Wemby and the supporting cast for San Antonio, early impressions of Amen and Cam for Houston/comments on the utter disaster that was the Rockets' asset management this offseason, and a praise for the draft and free agent moves of the Mavericks that turns into a random tangent on The Batman? Not much wrasslin' or rest of the league this week but Texas is kind of our thing.

A check in with one gleeful and two despondent Texas hoops fans after the lotto and A LOT of rants about the Spurs AND genuine analysis about their insanely different trajectory and set of plans following the ping pongapalooza; checking in with Houston with the Harden reunion rumors heating up + the #4 pick and what the Mavs can do with the 10th pick to pivot towards contention and keep Luka onboard. Lots of drinks, lots of edits, this one was…fun

Our three heroes John, Eric & a hilariously sleep-deprived David return for a mock draft just two days before the ping pong balls actually rain down from on high and bless or curse our courageous Texas basketball franchises according to thy will. A quick check in with the final math for Houston, San Antonio & Dallas before a Tankathon spin and then the trio haphazardly armchair GMing the top 14 where some shockers and a wild five spot jump into the top 3 await! Also - one prospect that gives us pause, one that we think is under the radar; Some brief rest of league thoughts and general goofiness as per the norm.

David and Eric link up for a two man playoff analysis special - recorded during the Sixers surprise game 1 victory Monday eve. Quick thoughts on Steph, the rest of the playoffs. Texas topics include Christian Wood appearing out in Dallas, the Spurs hierarchy/draft and free agency strategy, and mentally preparing for losing some favorites as Houston retools towards competency. Fixation on a bizarre courtside sweater choice definitely occurs too.

Recorded just prior to some epic playoff games and the Houston Rockets coaching hire, this episode has some fun offseason speculating for the three Texas teams as well as some spicy playoff predictions/observations and ends with a solo offering of Eric's snap thoughts on the Ime Udoka hiring for Houston. Our three heroes return from taking Mania week off to discuss the cataclysmic changes made by the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets to close the season and the implications of the impending offseason. Also a heavy dose of Spurs/Austin discourse and a reflection on just how special the organizational stability has been. John, David and Eric return to discuss the state of the Mavs after Luka's rather impactful postgame comments the other day, map out their path moving forward as it relates to this season and the pick they owe New York and weigh in on just how close this is to a "doomsday clock" situation with their young superstar. A trip around the Tankathon merry go round is the bulk of the rest of the episode with some fun "what if" scenarios involving potential movement from the Spurs and Rockets as well as other teams that ended up in the top five on this spin. We stand on the cusp of one of the most exciting times of NBA fandom and many deals are already in the bag - whether officially or not. John and Eric discuss the Dejounte rumors, Wall buyout, Brunson departure and much more!

After a fairly eventful First Round of the 2022 NBA Draft, our heroes John & Eric sit down to (rather drunkenly) discuss their first impressions of what the Rockets and Spurs did early on and some long term prospects for how these new players might fit in with their new teams. A few good ole' fashioned wrasslin' tangents but mostly some good kneejerk draft reactions.

Our first ever episode with mid-recording breaking news of this magnitude - MERCY! Lots of draft talk, analysis in all directions following the big trade and bracing ourselves for the ever likely Spurs surprises too. Does Wood get Dallas over the hump? Does Kidd have the right buttons to press to get him engaged defensively? Is this return for Houston kinda "meh?" or is it indicative of Wood's current value? Good to be back for another season covering the teams we love with y'all!

Is it morally ok to lose often and draft high? Yes. The end. But we discuss anyways? Then we're off to the races discussing the Mavs' playoff odds in a season of it seeming like there are no favorites and what kind of playoff surprises we foresee happening too.

A spicy prediction a piece for each of the three Texas teams and one apiece for the rest of the league at large. We're entering the home stretch towards the most entertaining playoffs in sports will one or two points of the Triangle be involved or just Luka? What kind of improvements do the Rockets make down the stretch? Was the Dinwiddie trade as much of a masterpiece as the early returns would suggest? All this and more!

Reacting to the deadline after time to emotionally process only makes us less reasonable! Discussion of the draft pick implications for the Rockets after the Simmons/Harden Blockbuster, gushing over the Spurs' trade deadline, even a halfway decent proper Mavs segment and everything! Also wrestling talk bc we just can't help it.

Our fearless heroes John and Eric do a fun trade deadline special where the "Obvious" candidates are discussed - Derrick, Thad, CWood, EG, Brunson, DFS...who else?! Also some sneaky potential surprise candidates that COULD (notice the caps, we know nothing) be moved. Then there's a brief trip around the league mostly so Eric can take a victory lap about his one singular take that is correct so far. Can't help but include a hidden track taking a big cynical dump on the Royal Rumble for the wrestling fans of course.

A day late but a buck richer thanks to the new fun Rockets trade rumors today. We touch on the implications of keeping Gordon and Wood, KPJ's ascent while Jalen slumps, and the obligatory Wall for Russ trade rumor laughs. Also speculation on the obviously speculative reporting on Dejounte Murray's availability in San Antonio and analysis of the effect of a new coaching staff on the Dallas Mavericks' defensive numbers - Kristaps in particular. All kinds of jokes about Harden/Morey and other weird tangents abound.

Checking in with the three Texas teams at the midway point in this season. An MVP, pleasant and unpleasant surprises and general impressions for the Spurs, Mavs and Rockets with the usual amount of strange and ranty detours along the way. Lots of rest of league stuff too - Blazers, Nets without KD for a bit and the surging Grizz.

We are stirred from our semi-intentional hibernation/hiding from Omicron to address the crazy Rockets drama that went down at last night's game. While we're at it, we touch on some New Year's Resolutions for the Texas teams, lots of Spurs/DJ All Star hopes talk and where they go from here following the loss of Coach Hammon to the Las Vegas Aces, and an oddly competent Mavs segment where we discuss some big picture needs and avoiding falling into the "not above wholesale changes" trap that a top talent can lead to. Lots of spicy takes and wrestling comps abound in this long, ranty episode.
