Chip stops by Huskins Coffee in Santa Ana to chat with the shop's mastermind and former Anaheim Ducks D-man Kent Huskins. Huskins talks about his love for coffee and the origin story, he and Chip trade "First Goal" stories, you'll find out how often he wears his Stanley Cup ring, and most importantly, Husk makes his case for the definitive beer league beer.

The NHL off-season is here, so it's time for Chip turn make a hard left turn to "Other Stuff". This week she pivots to the greatest goddamn Canadian show ever: "Letterkenny". George Contreras from Anaheim Calling returns, and Dean and Tiara, hosts of the "How Are Ya Now?" podcast take some real time to discuss and celebrate this gift of a show.  Also some hockey is discussed: Corey Perry to Dallas, Daryl Sutter to Anaheim, and Donnybrook HC played it's first league game.

Chip is joined this week by comedian Tony Alfano, and the Minnesota boys Casimir and Adam, who are in town to shoot the LA portion of their " 4 the Love of Puck" documentary. They discuss departure of Corey Perry from Anaheim, Tony's impeding move to Pittsburgh, and the universal love of beer league hockey no matter where someone is from. Oh, and they're gonna set a record. Maybe three. (Patent Pending)

Chip starts off the episode talking about her roller coaster of a Saturday with the highs of Limp Bizkit playing KROQ's Weenie Roast, and the lows of the Corey Perry news about his days in Anaheim being numbered. Brian and Sean-Paul from Rose Bowl Hockey stop by to talk about their weekly inline pickup game group that has been around for nearly 20 years. They also talk tonight's Game 6 between the Bruins and Blues, and as influenced by a Beer League Talk Facebook post, which teams would be on your 6-team No Trade list?

CJ Woodling and Jake Rudolph come to the show just to rub it in that they are now too good for it. Actually, they discuss the new growth for Anaheim Calling and what it means for their crew moving forward. "Game of Thrones" feelings were discussed and what past things the crew would petition to change. Also, New Coke is coming back, so it's decided what foods are worthy of comebacks. Of course there some NHL/ AHL playoff talk, and coaching talk, but really, you're here for the nonsense.

George Contreras and Kirstie Bender return the podcast. Chip explains her rough morning and why she may need a vacation. George isn't happy with Chip's Cup team pick, and the three discuss the glory that is Carolina infuriating Don Cherry. They also discuss the Women's Pro League ban and what needs to happen to create a sustainable league. Finally, we talk Learn to Play and the new Rinks app because Kirstie knows ALL about them.

Chip returns from break with visits from "The Russian Five" Director Joshua Riehl, "All the Kings Men" host Jesse Cohen and Beer League bud/ life-long Detroit Red Wings fan Jon Gucinski. They recap/ discuss the insanity that has been the NHL Playoff, new Kings coach Todd McLellan, and everyone absolutely geeks out about Josh's documentary.

Chip celebrates the 1 year anniversary of the podcast with buds Mat McCurley and David & Tyler from the "F This Game" Youtube Channel. The crew discusses the end of the Ducks' season, and the promise shown for next year with the final run of games. Also, why the NHL should stop trying to pat themselves on the back about "supporting" Women's hockey and actually do something substantial for it. The 90's kids find themselves going down many childhood rabbit holes, and discuss the hardest video games. Also "John Wick", cheese, and the best and worst Stephen King adaptations.

In an episode highlighting taking a love of hockey and growing it through expression, Chip is joined by Sons of Hockey clothing Founder Bucky and Taylor Lewis, founder of the brand new Crease Magazine. The crew discusses going that extra mile with the love for the sport and why hockey community seems to build bonds so quickly. They also discuss the latest in Ducks and Kings, and looking forward to next season, who has the brightest future?  They are later joined by Josh in Detroit, host of Hockey Night with JoSo and frequent contributor on The Jim Rome Show. He gives his outlook on the Red Wings, and also gives a background on the fascinating "Russian 5" Film. Chip shares one of her favorite memories from when Rome used to do weekly breaks on the K&B Show, and it involved the Ducks' 2016 WCF elimination at the hands of the Preds.

A disturbing revelation from last episode bubbles over into this week as Chip and the Forever Mighty Guys; Patrick, Jason & Eddy, breakdown the Skating with Socks vs. No Socks debate. The answer shouldn't surprise you, unless you are of course A MONSTER. Some distressing news about the state of Ducks players Ryan Kesler and Patrick Eaves has been released, and the crew discusses what's going on and how it can possibly affect the Ducks in the near future. Plus, the Kings kill it with Ron Burgundy joining the broadcast, who could/ should visit the Ducks' broadcast booth?

It's been 6 weeks, so George Contreras of Anaheim Calling has self-booked himself again, and this time is joined by Birdo and Hannah Spraker from The Fourth Period. Chip shares her hockey dream that is no doubt triggered by playing a pickup game at the Honda Center with the Violent Gentlemen crew. The group talks about how the Ducks currently playing spoiler has finally made for fun watching and Hannah and George denounce the tank theory. Hannah recounts her experience participating in a Red Bull Crashed Ice qualifying event, and Chip learns a disturbing fact about someone in the Totally Offsides family.

Jeff and Jason Hardwick of the "Life Imitating Hockey" podcast stop by this week. While there wasn't much particularly newsworthy in Ducks/Kings Land to discuss, there was a Limp Bizkit show to converse about. Chip went to Musink at the OC Fairgrounds and gives her review. Also, what new NHL rules are GMs talking about implementing, and do the rest of the NHL's mascots resent Gritty? (Spoiler Alert: YES)

The boys of Anaheim Calling (CJ, Felix, and Jake) make their return, and it's as sidetrack-y and hot take-y as ever. The crew and Chip unveil the next edition of the Podcast Classic, including the name of the trophy, which certainly rolls right off of the tongue. With the Ducks' season winding down, everyone takes stock of the year and shows some appreciation for what it can bring the future. Plus, Ryan Miller's influence, Silfverberg's extension, and is there a world where PK Subban could become a Duck?

John Broadbent from Anaheim Calling and Mat McCurley stop by this week. After taking time off to play the Throwback Classic, Chip returns in less than stellar shape after a day of snowboarding. She recaps the tournament fun of playing with Team Beer League Talk and about how she may have been tricked into marrying an Alaskan. John fills us on in who the Ducks may target in the draft, and also his new San Diego Gulls project. Finally, to make up for lack of cereal talk, we do a new taste test, which turns out to be the least favorite thing Mat has to do.

A morning announcement of Randy Carlyle's dismissal an hour before the planned taping of this episode derailed plans, but Chip has never been happier. She gets the outsider perspective from Alex Rauch (Kings fan) and Michael Thomas (Flyers fan) as they discuss WHY it took so long, Bob Murray taking the reins, and who should take over going forward. Plus RIP #PinkSlipRandy, and Chip gets advice from the hockey tournament vets ahead of preparing for next weekend's Throwback Classic.

The week WAS too quiet with the All-Star Break...until the 9-3 thing happened. The absolute dismantling handed by the Jets gave the crew much to discuss. Chip then threw some topics on a wheel, and had comedian Tony Alfano, Birdo, and self booked guest George Contreras discuss things like the 25th Anniversary of "Dookie", Guilty Pleasure TV shows, oh and Tony's former job of hauling dead bodies. Plus, how to handle Bob Murray and Carlyle at Scotty's Retirement Ceremony...and our new initiative #PinkSlipCarlyle

After predicting the Cogliano trade and the Cracknell call-up in the last couple of episodes, Chip wonders what the Pod can speak into reality this week. So, she along with Tyler Holle and Rich Rubin (when he shows up) comes up with some of the most outlandish predictions possible, just to see what sticks. Also some talk of the All-Star weekend, and has the terrible season made it more fun for everyone?

In a monster episode this week, Chip is joined by CJ from Anaheim Calling, Brian Kazarian and Tony Cappocchi of Rest Repose. The Ducks have snapped their 12-game skid, and the crew feels like they lost a member of the family. Chip put together a touching tribute for The Streak, as a proper sendoff. The Ducks had a newsworthy week, and the group dives in to who was traded, who's on IR, who was recalled from San Diego, and more.

Chip and the Forever Mighty boys (Eddy, Jason, and Pat) have embraced the Ducks losing streak, well, Chip more than anybody else. They discuss how fans can cope with a team that's in obvious disarray, but are unwilling/ unable to make a change. Chip founds the "Season Ticket Holder Helpline" to allow STH's to vent, and takes Monika as the first to voice her concerns.  The group then sheds light on the REAL problem affecting players: Hockey Butt. And finally, with the AnKneeversary having just passed, Chip tells the story about why she hates zorbs.

It's the last episode of 2018, so Chip wraps up the year with JC McDonough and Mat McCurley. They discuss their favorite movies, TV shows, music and video games, and because this IS a hockey podcast (?), they save their favorite hockey moments of the year for the end of the podcast. Like the VERY end. Everyone mostly nerds out all episode. Enjoy!

Undeterred by a water main break under the KROQ building, Chip is joined by Coach Zach Gray to talk his ADFR (Anaheim Duck Fan Reaction) Videos on Youtube.  Chip asks for free shooting advice, and Zach also supplies hot takes on Getzlaf playing defense, Patrick Eaves, and the fan love for Andrew Cogliano. To wrap up the episode, Chip shares her weird Bad Religion/ hockey-related dream.

Chip makes a poor decision and invites George Contreras and Jake Rudolph from Anaheim Calling to come in together. Lacking any adult supervision, this episode, things go awry.  Chip celebrates her first one star rating on Itunes, and since there was no review accompanying it, invites everyone to write their own. There is some  Ducks talk about Pontus Aberg, Daniel Sprong, and Bob Murray's extension, but mostly, everyone makes fun of George being old and Chip harasses Jake about the next Podcast Classic. Nick Fleehart from Beer League Talk  (BeerLeagueTalk.com) makes a special in studio appearance this week as he and Chip celebrate their teams being at the top of a very shaky Pacific Division for the moment.  The two vent about nightmare beer league teammates, and test their cereal palette with a generic vs. name brand taste test.  If they had Oscars for podcasting, this episode would make us a contender.

Chip is joined by Jake and Cheyne from the Seattle band NRTHWND, and on top of talking Ducks and Sharks hockey,  there's some bonding about growing up in the Orange County music scene. Chain Reaction, Hogue Barmichaels, Goat Hill Tavern and more is covered in-between team chirping, backing the Carolina Hurricanes post-game celebrating and talking the band's new EP "Dark Lakes"

Chip and Jake Robles (Pucks of a Feather) were excited to share their experiences of seeing the band Ghost the night before with CJ Woodling (Anaheim Calling) before any hockey talk started.  Jake presented Chip with a contract to play for Los Machetes and the negotiations became contentious. The crew dives into the growth of the rivalry (mostly on Twitter) between some Ducks and Preds fan in the last few years, and the minor moral victory that was achieved this week for Anaheim faithful. Finally, with the season going the way it has, the "Ducks Experience Drinking Game" has been created.

Who knew depression and frustration would bind Kings and Ducks fans?  Duck fans Chip and Nick Pappas bond with Kings fan Alex Rauch over the current state of hockey in Southern California, while Michael Thomas gloats about his halfway-decent Flyers team. With coaching issues on the mind, the crew discusses the best fictional coaches, and in "What the Puck", Michael teaches us about how Dimebag Darrell was involved with one of the first major injuries to the Stanley Cup.

Chip is joined this week by site experts Ciara and Chris from Pucks of a Feather.  The crew answers "Send It" questions, which includes their rulings on Halloween costumes for pets and who would win in a cage match, Burns or Getzy? The Ducks current woes are discussed, or vented about, but Chip also challenges them to point out some good things. Some.  Finally, they try to wrap their head around the worst jersey ever created.

Vinnie the Barber makes his 1st appearance on the pod, and George Contreras has booked himself for his 3rd appearance. The group discusses their thoughts about the Ducks over the past week, offer an open apology to John Gibson, and talk the return of Feisty Kesler. Because it's the Halloween season, the crew chats about "The Haunting of Hill House" and their favorite horror films, both classic and recent.  Also, Chip unveils her "Rent- A-Chip" program for pickup hockey, which issure to be a success (she thinks).

Chip is joined by Mat McCurley and Jake Robles from Pucks of a Feather, and Chip tells the story about the random way she and Mat become friends.( It may have to do with the greatest sports movie ever made.)  Also, "Send It" questions are answered and the current state of the Ducks is discussed. The conversation then of course veers deeply into "Star Wars" and video games. Finally, the episode wraps up with Chip's conversation with Michael Lu, the Anaheim Ducks' 21st Duck.

What happens when a guest needs to drop out at 11pm before the morning of a podcast recording? This episode! Undeterred with the setback, Chip brings in Kyle Nicolas to chat. Chip talks about getting called a psycho in Beer League, the emergence of young players on the Ducks and Corey Perry's injury is discussed, and Aaron Chabak is introduced as the Totally Offsides Seattle Correspondent.

Chip's conversation with JC, CJ and Art continues with a look back at some of the weirdest storylines of last season. Also, observations and thoughts are given about the Ducks and Kings headed into the new season...and Chip forgets about the No Trash Talk ban. Whoops.

Chip says farewell to the KROQ studio on Venice Blvd, as she is the last person to record anything there. Art from Hockey Punk Clothing, and JC and CJ from Anaheim Calling join her, and as any good host would, she gives them parting gifts for the occasion. They group also discusses the Domi "suspension" and the evolving thoughts on safety , the Sharks' idea for unveiling their 3rd jersey, and the Totally Offsides vs. Anaheim Calling game at Honda Center for 25 Hours of Hockey is recapped.

In a week filled with ALMOST too much hockey news, Chip finds some way inject some nonsense. Chris Hudson and John Broadbent join in to cover the news of the Karlsson trade, the big suspensions, and more. Anders Nilsson spoke out about homophobia in the sport, and John tells his story about being a hockey player and coming out. Ducks rookies and prospects are discussed, and what the emergence of young players may mean for the fate of FA Nick Ritchie. Finally, Chip grosses John out with real foods Americans eat. USA! USA!

Can a Penguins fan and Flyers fan successfully coexist? Josh and Michelle Nakano stop by to talk being married to a member of a rival team's fanbase. Chip recaps some of her night at Ryan Getzlaf's MVP Shootout Party for Cure Duchenne. Jalen Ramsey has run his mouth again, this time claiming he could make the NHL in 6 months. Then most importantly, the crew dresses down a "Best 50 Cereals List".  

Beer League teammates Alex Rauch and Michael Thomas return to the podcast, fresh off of their Championship win. This week, the crew tackle a couple of deep #SendIt questions, and Michael's impending move to Orange County. Also, oung hockey players are obsessed with Fortnite, much to the dismay of their GMs. Then, they discuss Michael being really upset about his hero Eric Lindros' recent comments about preventing head injuries. Can the game survive without hits?

Hockey News is light this week, so Chip, George Contreras and Nick Pappas cut through the hockey talk fairly quickly. Ducks Rookie Camp rosters were released, and George talks about his new Ducks tattoo. And in what must be the biggest left turn yet... the group argues over Lord of the Rings and other things of nerdery.

Chip is joined by Mike and Eddie from DucksNPucks this week.  They discuss their approval of the Ondrej Kase deal, The NHL Network sleeping on El Capitan Ryan Getzlaf again, and Chip's new favorite segment: "Goalies are Weird". Also, why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? It's weird, isn't it?

Chip returns from a week of touring with Well Hung Heart with KROQ's Rich Rubin and Beer League Talk's Nick Fleehart. The group discusses the unwritten rules of Beer League Hockey, decides the Carolina Hurricanes new goal song, and of course... gotta bring back the cereal talk.

Eddy, Jason and Patrick from The Puck Guys and Forever Mighty podcasts stop by. It's been a relatively quiet week in Free Agency, so the "and other stuff" mentioned in the theme song really holds true. Chip politely demands that everyone address her by her newly earned title. "Enter the Dragon" may get a reboot, and the group discusses if there is such thing as an "untouchable" movie. Finally, in "What the Puck", Eddy tells the story about the "One Dollar Man"

Chip's Beer League buddies, Brian and Jason Kazarian, return to the podcast. Chip and Jason fill Brian in on the worst pickup game ever, and Brian talks about Jason's goalie skills as a kid. Listener questions are answered in a new segment called "Send It". The "legendary" Jason Kazarian vs. Bobby Ryan story is broken down, and everyone may side with the Pro. Chip has finally had it with the Miami Dolphins, and Brian has his own thoughts about the Ducks' jersey retirements that he needs to share.

Chip is joined by Felix Sicard and Jake Rudolph (who lives at the station now apparently) from Anaheim Calling.  The inaugural Podcast Classic is recapped, with Chip graciously accepting defeat. Free Agency continues, and the group discusses the Fleury deal. Anaheim is retiring the numbers of Kariya and Neidermayer, they give their takes, and ponder what current Ducks are destined for the honor. And most importantly...WHY IS THERE AN 'S' IN THIS PODCAST'S NAME?
