Und dieses Jahr ist es wirklich eine: 17 von 52 Spielen sind gespielt und somit fehlen nur 20 Minuten des nächsten Spiels um wirklich vom „ersten Drittel der Saison“ zu sprechen. Wie immer besprechen wir jeden Spieler eines jeden Mannschaftsteils.Etwas anders als sonst. Was ob der Ergebnisse der Haie am vergangenen Wochenende gar nicht so schlimm erscheint. Ein 0-Punkte-Wochenende zu besprechen, fühlt sich nicht gut an. Daher können wir es dieses Mal kurz halten.Nur ein kurzer Blick auf die Tabelle nach dem 17. Spieltag.Als hätten wir in den letzten Wochen nicht schon genug über die Torhütersituation der Haie gesprochen. In dieser Folge geht es - wie in den vergangenen Jahren – um die einzelnen Leistungen, also wieder ran an die Goalies.Auch in der Verteidigung besprechen wir die Spieler einzeln. 10 Gesichter findet man auf der Homepage der Haie in der Verteidigung. Zu besprechen gibt es leider deutlich weniger. Selbst wenn man Noah Münzenberger rauslässt, lohnt eine richtige Besprechung nur bei max. sechs der neun.Die Tiefe der Haie merkt man vor allem im Angriff. Zu fast allen 15 Angreifern kann man etwas sagen. Mal etwas mehr und mal etwas weniger, aber zumindest gespielt haben Sie alle schon in diesem Saisondrittel.Auch über Kari Jalonen sprechen wir an der Stelle. Der Rest vom Staff fällt etwas hinten über, was aber auch daran liegt: Kari ist das Gesicht des Staffs. It's clear they need to do something special this summer to get fans to start believing again, and a popular name being brought up is pending Toronto star Mitch Marner who's a noted Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen fan. Patrick asks Duane point blank if there's any chance of Marner wanting to come to Buffalo and what kind of contract it would take for it to even be a consideration. Assuming Marner's off the table (spoiler alert--he almost certainly is) Duane goes over some other potential splash moves Buffalo could make before taking the ice next season.In fact, is a move imminent?They also spend some time talking about a number of good Sabres players who are restricted free agents.
