Who fights your battles? We often make plans and trust in ourselves or others to see them through. Sometimes those plans don't go as we hoped, we need to remember to surrender to God and remember He is already triumphant in our battles.
The J2911 Broadcast is a broadcast about purpose-based on Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV Our purpose, at this time, is to provide you with information. You decide what to do with the information with which you have been provided. Right now, we are reading through The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles published in 1910.
Pastor Bob Myers continues our series by helping us look at Jeremiah 29:11 in its proper context which then helps us to see how counter cultural God's ask is of His people!

A conversation about how we deal with our plans versus God's plans in our lives. Based on the bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 NIV "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".
Here are the verses we learned this week. Joshua 23:10 | Psalm 23:4 | Jeremiah 29:11 | 1 John 1:7 | John 7:38-38
Does God have a plan for your life? Today's promise is found in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. - Jeremiah 29:11 When I was a teenager, I came across a little gospel track called the Four Spiritual Laws. That track has been used around the world to bring thousands of people to faith in Christ. It's a short little booklet that begins with, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.” We all know that God loves us, the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16 tells us. But a plan for your life? Does God have a specific plan for your life? The prophet Jeremiah wrote to the Children of God during a difficult time in their history. He wrote to a people that were living in another country in exile. The prophet reminded them, that even though things were not as they wished they would be, God had not forgotten about them, He had a plan for their life, and that plan was good. Just as a father wants the very best for his children, your Heavenly father wants the best for you. God's plan for your life doesn't always include becoming a missionary, preacher, or giving your life for the Gospel. Sometimes His plan is as simple as walking in fellowship with Him, being an example of the love of Jesus to others, and helping those around you any way you can. Have you ever stopped to consider that God has a plan for your life? When you think of God's plan for you, do you see it as good? Just because we can't see how things are going to work out, doesn't mean God working His plan. You see your life day-by-day, but God sees your beginning and end. He has a plan for you, and that plan is good. When things aren't going the way you hope, it's easy to get discouraged and feel like God has forgotten you. Knowing that God has a plan for you, and that plan is good, gives you hope for the future and faith that He is working that plan for you benefit.
Four steps to finding purpose and fulfillment by pursuing God's destiny for your life.
God is giving you a future filled with Hope. Your past may be filled with mistakes and regrets. Your current reality may be uncertain and you aren’t where you hoped you would be. But God has not forgotten you. He has a plan for your life. He wants to protect you from harm. He wants to give you a future. He is your Hope.

In order to get to the amazing places, you have to go through the darkness. Pastor Tom shares the meaning of this statement as well as Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God has a plan for your life, a plan for Hope and a future. Your past may be filled with mistakes and regrets. You current reality may be uncertain and you aren’t where you hoped you would be. But God has not forgotten you. He has a plan for your life. He wants to protect you from harm. He wants to give you a future. He is your Hope.
"Jacob Meets Rachel." That's the title of today's episode, which has Genesis 29:1-14 as its main passage. In last week's episode, God promised that He would be with Jacob. In this week's episode, we see (once again!) evidence that God keeps His promises.
Jeremiah 29:11. When God says He won't harm you, that's a weird way to start a promise. "Finding Jesus for three easy payments of $9.99, the mathematical impossibility of soulmates, the surprising difficulty of planning for a wedding, fighting against our natural inclination to fight against God, how martial arts teaches us about reacting to the trials of life, and how every Unresolved Tension will meet Happily Ever After." 4-25-14
This is going to be fun, and oh-so-instructive. This is the kind of a lesson I LOVE to teach. Did you realize that in Matthew 5:18, Jesus made one of the single most dramatic, declarative statements He would ever make? In one sweeping sentence that we explained at length last week, Jesus affirmed the Bible -- every book, chapter, verse, word, letter -- as absolute truth. Through the process of Revelation, whereby God revealed Truth to His writers, and the process of Inspiration, whereby God guided His writers to write down that Truth w/o error, we now hold in our hands a precious book that 2 Timothy 3:16 (CEV) rightly calls “God’s Word.” Revelation. Inspiration. In this PODCAST, we consider together a matter of Interpretation. How to understand the Bible... properly. #WhatDoesItMean??? Because the sad fact is this: By stringing a few unrelated verses together, people can literally make the Bible say anything they want it to say. Anything! And they do. We.Do.Not. We have far too much respect for the Bible to play fast and loose with its divinely inspired text. Please note that depending upon your web browser, it might take up to 60 seconds for the podcast to begin to play. HAPPY LISTENING!
