Es como si fueras el sistema eléctrico de tu vida. Eres el generador, el que mantiene todo en funcionamiento. Hay un sentido de creación constante. A muchas personas no se les ocurre hacer una pregunta como esta. Solo hacen las cosas para hoy. No se enfocan en generar para el futuro. La gente piensa que el futuro se resolverá por sí mismo. Esa es la diferencia entre obtener dinero y tener dinero. Si vas a tener dinero, debes estar dispuesto a generarlo tanto hoy como en el futuro. Cuando lo hagas, debes dejar a un lado tus creencias y tus deseos, para poder recibir la respuesta que te llegará de aquello que consideras adquirir. Hacer la pregunta no es acerca de tratar de concluir cómo eso te va a hacer ganar dinero. Es estar dispuesto a darte cuenta de que si te va a hacer ganar dinero o no. Si te gustaría tener más dinero, te sugerimos cuestionar todo en tu vida. Pregunta: “¿Esto que hay en mi vida me hará ganar más dinero?”. Repasa tu vida entera. “¿Esto que hay, sea lo que sea, me traerá más dinero?”. Puede ser una relación, la cómoda de tu habitación, tu automóvil, o todas estas cosas. “¿Esto me hará ganar más dinero?”. ¿Esto será gratificante? Una alternativa a la pregunta: “¿Esto me va a hacer ganar dinero?” es “¿Esto será gratificante?”. ¿Necesito comprarte ahora? Preguntas: “¿Necesito comprarte ahora?”. ¿Realmente quieres que yo te pertenezca? Una persona me preguntó: “Hay algo que quiero comprar porque sería divertido tenerlo, pero cuando le pregunté si me haría ganar dinero, dijo que no. Aun así, me gustaría tenerlo; sería divertido. ¿Debo seguir adelante y comprarlo?”. Mi respuesta fue: “No”. Pero hay algo que puedes hacer en una situación como esta. Pregunta: “¿Realmente quieres que te pertenezca?”. Si la respuesta es que sí, pregunta: “¿A qué precio me harías dinero?”. Te dirá el precio y puedes proponer una oferta. Cuando yo hago esto, el noventa y nueve por ciento de las veces la gente acepta mi oferta. Dime cuándo tengo que venderte para ganar dinero. Cuando consideras invertir en acciones, oro, plata o cosas así, necesitas preguntar: “¿Me harás dinero?”. Pero ya que hagas una inversión de estas, tienes que estar enterado a diario. Pídele: “Dime cuando tengo que venderte para obtener una ganancia”. De lo contrario, puedes terminar por tenerla por mucho tiempo y bajará de valor. ¿Hay algo que podamos hacer contigo para convertirte en más dinero? ¿En qué te gustaría convertirte? Para algunas personas, la idea de tener dinero es difícil de captar. Ven dinero que no está invertido y piensan: “Ese dinero pierde su valor. Debería usarlo”. ¿Quién quieres que te pertenezca? ¿Tienes tu casa a la venta? No trates de vender tu casa, mejor pídele a tu casa que encuentre a su nuevo dueño, la persona que quiere que le pertenezca. Usar preguntas en tu negocio La gente tiende a comenzar una relación, o a lanzar su negocio y entonces trata de hacer que todo permanezca igual, pensando que seguirá obteniendo los mismos resultados que obtuvo hasta entonces. Pero no es así cómo funciona. Tienes que estar dispuesto a cambiar todo en todo momento. ¿Qué puedo cambiar que generará más negocio hoy, mañana, y todos los días después de eso? ¿Despedir a esta persona generará más dinero? ¿Esta persona me hará más dinero? También usa preguntas cuando contrates gente. Pregunta: “¿Esta persona me hará más ganar dinero? ¿Contribuirá a la consciencia de mi negocio?”.

Generar dinero en tu vida Para generar el monto de dinero que te gustaría tener en la vida, tienes que disfrutar de lo que haces. Vemos personas que se involucran en algo porque deciden que les puede dejar dinero o deciden: “Esto puede funcionar”. ¿Dónde está la pregunta en eso? No hay ninguna. El enfoque debería ser: “Bien, me gusta hacer esto. ¿Puedo ganar dinero con ello? Muy bien. ¿Cuánto dinero puedo ganar? ¿Hay algún limite a lo que puedo ganar con este empleo, esta técnica, o este sistema que tengo?”. Si hay un límite, y no tienes problema con que exista, entonces debes preguntar: “¿Cuál es el máximo de lo que puedo ganar con lo que estoy haciendo?”. Si eso es suficiente dinero para ti, no hay ningún problema. Si no es suficiente, tienes que preguntar: “¿Qué más puedo ser, hacer, tener, crear o generar que sea divertido para mí, y me haga ganar más dinero?”. Divertido para mí y que me haga ganar más dinero. Esa es la clave. A veces vemos a personas que inician algo, comienzan a ganar dinero y entonces dicen: “¡Bien, ahora estoy ganando dinero!”. Ahí, ¿dónde está la pregunta? Esa declaración no es pregunta. Es una respuesta: Estoy ganando dinero. No solemos ver que la gente haga la pregunta que debería hacer: “¿Esto me va a dejar todo el dinero que me gustaría ganar?”. Si no te va a dejar todo el dinero que te gustaría ganar, entonces necesitas averiguar qué puedes agregar a tu vida que te haga llegar a la cantidad que te gustaría tener. Debes preguntar: “¿Qué más puedo agregar a mi vida?”. En estos tiempos económicos mucha gente se pregunta: “¿Qué puedo reducir en mi vida para tener menos gastos?”. Es un método bastante popular cuando la economía es difícil, pero eso lleva a un rumbo destructivo. Es acerca de disminuir la vida. El punto de vista más positivo es: “¿Qué puedo añadir a mi vida?”. Esa pregunta moverá las cosas hacia un rumbo generativo. No se trata de recortar lo que te gusta; se trata de añadir algo que disfrutas y que te hará ganar más dinero. Hay infinidad de maneras de generar dinero que son realmente divertidas. Debes estar dispuesto a saber que sí es posible y luego encontrarlas. La mayoría de la gente tiene el punto de vista de que ganar dinero es una faena penosa, o piensa que es doloroso, o que no sabe cómo se hace. Utiliza algunas de las siguientes ideas, preguntas y herramientas para ayudarte a generar más dinero. ¿Cobras lo suficiente? En una de nuestras clases, una señora dijo: “Cuando yo era joven, cuidaba niños. Cobraba 50 centavos por hora. Un día le dije a mi madre: ‘Creo que valgo 75 centavos por hora'. A lo que respondió: ‘Oh, no, ¡no subas tus precios! Si subes tus precios ya nadie te va a contratar'”. ¡Qué pésimo consejo paternal sobre el dinero, ¿no?! Mucha gente cree esta idea. Cobra de menos por el servicio o producto que ofrece porque piensa que nadie la contratará si sube sus precios. No valora el trabajo que hace, el producto que ha creado, ni los servicios que ofrece. ¿Qué es lo que se consigue cuando se hace esto? Se consiguen clientes de baja calidad. ¿Y qué es lo que se consigue cuando se suben los precios? En el peor de los casos se consigue más tiempo libre. ¡En el mejor de los casos se consigue más tiempo libre y mejores clientes! Dain dice que ha aprendido que, si las personas no están dispuestas a pagar tu tarifa, no van a estar dispuestas a recibir el regalo que les compartes, lo cual es la razón por la que haces tu trabajo en primer lugar. Quieres dar un regalo que recibirán. No se trata del dinero.
