Writer and comedian Avery Edison has come to pitch a new take on Village of the Damned, and she has come PREPARED. It's our most in-depth guest pitch to date! This one's got it all: Creepy children, uncanny creatures, gender feelings, and ties to our Dark Legion! And, bits? Yeah, we got those, too. You don't want to miss this one. Our podcast partner this week is No Bad Food, a show about great food and the people who love to make & eat it. Every week, hosts Tom Zalatnai & Teffer Adjemian dig into a different dish, meal, ingredient, cuisine, or piece of food media, exploring the history & culture around it, sharing favorite recipes, and learning from our wonderful guests.
Today we have Avery Edison, Kieran McLean, and Chris Jesu Lee on the show to discuss the much-debated virtues (or lack thereof) and the rabid fan base of the movie 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'. This is Part 1 of a two-part episode. Part 2 is free to all paid subscribers over at www.patreon.com/posts/78918976. Jordan and Brooke are joined by returning guest and comedian Avery Edison for a very special episode – our first indie film! Our Wachowskis month just wouldn't feel complete without a discussion on the sex, crime, cinematography and pacing of one of our best neo-noirs. Listen in as Jordan praises a young Christopher Meloni, Brooke unsurprisingly thirsts over Gina Gershon, and Avery absolutely bodies a Jennifer Tilly impression. Plus, an essential series of promos for "No Kidding? Me Too!"Follow us on Twitter!Follow Avery on Twitter and Twitch!
Jordan and Brooke are joined by comedian Avery Edison to discuss 1991's seminal horror. They talk the complicated legacy of this film and how it affected future on-screen representation, attempt some Dr. Lecter impressions, and prove (once again) why NBC Hannibal is the best show to ever grace our airwaves.Follow us on Twitter! https://twitter.com/QueerQuadrant Follow Avery! https://twitter.com/aedison // And find Avery's book here: http://www.averyedison.com/rightbodywrongjunk/ This episode is sponsored by Super Yaki! Well known podcast trickster Nate is up to his hijinks right away. Today the Morphy Boys are joined by Avery Edison (@aedison) to discuss some torture. We jump into it talking about Beetlejuice Ventura. Avery comes into the podcast with a piping hot take right away. We need to put a stop to Scholastic book fairs until we can figure out exactly what the hell is going on there. Tyler comes at this one raw. Some talk about leg quenching. We talk about sexy presidents. Nate chose Soundgarden over Animorphs. We all agree the Chee are the ultimate vape rigs. Avery rags on Tyler and puts him in his place. The Boys and Avery agree that Sadam Hussein is a great leader because Jake said so. Tyler wants to be the shaved ice boy. Avery throws out a controversial Visser 3 take. The plan the Animorphs make is well written and definitely makes sense when executed. Pain is normal. Pain is life. Life is pain. Never trust. Sent from my iPhone

Your high school days are the best ones of your life, or–if you're Avery Edison–the most criminal. Broken by the system, and with nothing to lose, our plucky podcaster puts together a plan to relieve her campus of some expensive electronics. How does the unicycle fit into it? Not super well, actually. They're ridiculous machines.
In 2007, Avery Edison flew from Britain to New Mexico, with the intention of using it as a starting point for a trip across the U.S. Instead, she mooched off a hippie, fell in lust with a sandwich artist, and started a small magnesium fire.
So farewell then, 2009. We've had a great time over the last few months and are thrilled to be ending the year with what must be our most thought-provoking episode to date. Film maker Adam Curtis joins us to talk about his latest project, 'It Felt Like a Kiss' and has some brilliant theories on [...]
