Am letzten Abend gelang es unserer heldenhaften Gruppe tatsächlich, Teil des Rituals um die Auferstehung von Nitocirs zu werden und diese zu vereiteln. Dies ging jedoch nicht ohne Opfer. Bei dem heldenhaften Einsatz starb sowohl Sophia Hapgood als auch Michael Muhammed Ibn Tulu Graham, der letzte Wächter. Unter dem Einsatz ihres Lebens verhinderten sie, dass Königin Nitocris zurück in Welt gelangt, ein schwerer Schlag für die Bruderschaft des Schwarzen Pharaos und den Kult der blutigen Zunge. Jakub Svoboda hat indessen einen rituellen Dolch erlangt, um Nitocris zu vernichten, vielleicht wird der an anderer Stelle nochmal nützlich. Da Kairo nun ein heißes Pflaster ist, sind sie so schnell als möglich auf ein Schiff nach Mombasa geflüchtet, wo sie Alexander van Salm empfängt, der ebenfalls versucht, mehr über die sogenannte Carlyle-Expedition herauszufinden. Jackson Elias ist gestorben, vermutlich weil die Carlyle-Expedition vor 6 Jahren eine Expedition unternommen hatte. Seitdem wurden weitere Opfer gefordert und das nächste war Nathaniel Sanders, eigentlich zu reich zum sterben. Unsere tapferen Investigatoren haben die Mykerinos-Pyramide erforscht und dabei die mumifizierte Nitocris entdeckt. Leider wurde auch etwas Unbeschreibliches beschworen und Nathaniel opferte sich für Saleem, der nun für immer in seiner Schuld steht. Am nächsten Morgen schließt sich Sophia Hapgood an, doch mit schlechten Neuigkeiten. Die Ibn-Tulu-Moschee wurde bestohlen, der Kult hat nun vermutlich alle benötigten Artefakte, um die schreckliche Königin Nitocris auferstehen zu lassen. Einzig ein Medium wird anscheinend noch benötigt. Doch sie haben mit Ilsa, eh Frau Speer eine Verbündete. Vier Jahre ist es her, da unsere Investigatoren gemeinsam mit Jackson Elias unaussrechliches aufgedeckt haben. Über die Erlebnisse in Peru wird nur noch ungern geredet. Doch nun hat sie ein Telegramm erreicht, dass der Autor etwas über die Carlyle-Expedition herausgefunden hat. Die sagenumwobene Expedition, die seit über 5 Jahren als verschollen gilt. Wir befinden uns im Hotel Chelsea, auf der West 23rd Street. Das gediegene Gebäude hat einen großen Eingangsbereich, in dem sich unsere Gruppe zusammenfindet. In full recovery mode, Lillian works with Sigmund to rest. Sam explores Nairobi's various neighborhoods. Drummond picks up a replacement camera and does a little digging into the Carlyle Expedition. Meave sings a special song for her fellow hotel guests.

Gathering themselves together for a long training journey to Nairobi, the last known location of the original Carlyle Expedition. Sigmund and Jack marvel at the wildlife on display, while Sam seeks to circumvent the system through creativity.

After the firefight at the first meeting with Jack Brady, the Investigators finally hear from a member of the Carlyle Expedition in person, as he reveals more than anyone knew about what happened and what is coming.

Our heroes begin to realize the enormity of the situation in which they find themselves. Elias found proof that at least one on the members of the ill-fated Carlyle Expedition was still among the living...did he pay for that knowledge with his life?  Players: Rodney, Lillie, James, Nick & Wes. The investigators are in Nairobi, looking into the cult of the Bloody Tongue and the missing Carlyle Expedition. Before they can enlist the aid of locals, including a powerful mystic, they must prove themselves by stopping a potential agent of the Crawling Chaos, Mr. Corbitt and any other cultists in the city. Corbitt owns a mansion connected to evil, but what lurks in the basement will horrify even the most jaded of investigators. Can the team purge the evil hiding in the darkness?

The team bypasses Cairo altogether to head straight for the source! Many clues point to Kenya as the possible epicenter of the conspiracy. The Carlyle Expedition did disappear there, after all. Before the investigators can pick up the trail in Nairobi, they must first pass through the port city of Mombasa. The cults of the Crawling Chaos are now on the lookout for them, so travel will be more difficult. What strategy will they use to defeat the cultists? What other dangers lie in wait for them? Find out as the Kenya chapter begins!

After fleeing the United States, the investigators have arrived in London! Jackson Elias pursued many leads while he stayed in the UK, so the team has their work cut out for them. Among the leads are the Penhew Foundation, which participated in the Carlyle Expedition and Miles Shipley, an infamous painter with a strange reputation.Interviewing Miles is a far more dangerous task than the investigators realize for reasons they won't suspect. The forces of the mythos are far more pervasive than the investigators ever realized, but have they learned it too late?

After surviving an encounter with cultists in Hollywood, our brave team of investigators journeys to New York to meet with Jackson Elias. It is January 1925 and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, although no one realizes it yet. The investigators soon realize their fate is intertwined with the infamous Carlyle Expedition of 1919, which met its doom in Kenya in a brutal massacre by angry natives...supposedly. Unraveling the machinations of the Crawling Chaos will take everything they have and even then they may not uncover every Mask of Nyarlathotep! Miss the prequel games?
