Brian is a Senior in High School and has quite the resume! He was the PIAA state cross country champion in Hershey this year. Not only did he win Gold, but he did it in dramatic fashion by beating the course record in Hershey, PA. When asked, Brian made it seem like it was not a big deal because the course is only 5 years old. A very modest young man, Brian seems to have a great balance between hard work and fun. Last weekend he also won the 3k at the TFCAGP meet at Lehigh University. He ran the 6th fastest time for a PA boy ever in this event and currently is the number one ranked athlete in the country in this event. Headed to Penn State to run track next year and major in Engineering, Brian still has big goals for this winter and spring season. In this conversation we get into the headspace of Brian as he prepares, gets to the line and talks us through this recent race from beginning to end.

Today's episode is beyond good, beyond evil, beyond your wildest imagination ... because it looks at the seminal 1980's animation classic Transformers: The Movie! Like Pennywise luring so many children to their unsuspecting doom, this beautiful & enticing film shattered the innocence of so many childhoods. But unlike that hellish clown, this film does have many virtues that Greg has brought Chad Bowers and Tom Scioli on board to celebrate for the film's 35th anniversary. Does the movie still hold up? What made it look so different than the cartoon that spawned it? Which soundtrack hit almost ended up in another 80's film? How could the filmmakers misjudge their audience's attachment to these toys so badly? Answers to questions like this and more, plus a broader discussion of seminal deaths & resurrections in genre franchises: who are we glad came back, and who should have stayed in the grave? Robots From Tomorrow is a twice-weekly comics podcast recorded deep beneath the Earth's surface. You can subscribe to it via iTunes or through the RSS feed at RobotsFromTomorrow.com. Film composer Vince DiCola had never scored an entire movie before in the mid-80s. But once actor/director Sylvester Stallone heard a few of his demo tracks for Rocky IV, he decided to hire DiCola for the gig. That film ended up being one of the most financially successful movies of the Rocky franchise. In fact, earlier this summer, Stallone announced a re-release of the film with a "Director's Cut," to hit theaters in November. Join host Eddie Robinson as he chats candidly with the mastermind behind the music of Rocky IV, Vince DiCola. Plus, I SEE U could not produce a Rocky feature without exploring the signature Rocky hymnal, "Eye of The Tiger," and Eddie catches up with the song's writer/producer, Grammy-award winning Frankie Sullivan of the vintage rock band, Survivor.
