The Trump administration says it has killed dozens of people in strikes on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific, which it says are from Venezuela and are carrying illegal drugs bound for the US. The US hasn't provided any evidence or details about those who have been killed. Experts have questioned the legality of these strikes. President Trump has alleged the Venezuelan leader, Nicolas Maduro runs a criminal group called Cartel de los Soles. Maduro denies this and has accused the US of using its "war on drugs" as an excuse to try and remove him from power to access Venezuela's huge oil reserves.Mimi Swaby, a BBC Global Affairs Reporter who focuses on Latin America, explains the history between the US and Venezuela and why the US is launching strikes on boats. This blood-sucking, fiber-rich fiction is part of Gray Barker's menagerie -- Barker was a colorful character who loved a good story and had a few skeletons in his own closet, one of which led to the creation of the modern "men in black" mythos. Daniel has done his homework and culled heaps of information from the reams of original correspondence in Barker's archives.

CAFE stands for “Corporate Average Fuel Economy.” An easy definition, via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is a regulation: …[on] how far our vehicles must travel on a gallon of fuel. NHTSA sets CAFE standards for passenger cars and for light trucks (collectively, light-duty vehicles), and separately sets fuel consumption standards for medium- and heavy-duty trucks and engines. NHTSA also regulates the fuel-economy window stickers on new vehicles. Ending these regulations is part of complying with Trump’s “Unleashing American Energy” Executive Order and the [Transportation] Secretary's “Fixing the CAFE Program” Memorandum, according to the department’s homepage. On Wednesday, the president rattled off the investments in the United States that the auto companies have made since Trump 47 began in January. Assistant U.S. Attorney Blasts Los Angeles County After It Votes to Ban ICE Agents from Wearing Masks Los Angeles County's far-left Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to advance an unprecedented ordinance that would ban law enforcement officers, including federal immigration agents, from wearing masks while working in unincorporated areas of the county. The proposal passed 4-0, with only Supervisor Kathryn Barger abstaining. A final vote is scheduled for next week, and the ordinance would take effect in January 2026, according to the LA Times. Legal experts say federal immigration agents would not be required to follow a county mask ban. The county's top lawyer, Dawyn Harrison, has said she suspects the federal government will likely argue that the county law violates the Constitution, which states that federal law takes precedence over conflicting local statutes.  https://twitter.com/USAttyEssayli/status/1996040656733814854?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1996040656733814854%7Ctwgr%5E71ecedc2cdf5f5bfec40c6e10a4a461e8ffa25fd%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.com%2F2025%2F12%2Fassistant-u-s-attorney-blasts-los-angeles-county%2F   by the media and local politicians. The “war on narco-terrorists” that Secretary Hegseth is bragging about is being run on a legal foundation poured years before Trump ever touched the Oval Office desk. Obama normalized the presidential kill list. He campaigned in 2008 promising rule of law, transparency, and restraint. He delivered a tenfold increase in drone strikes; a White House “Terror Tuesday” meeting where officials literally flipped through PowerPoint slides picking who lived or died; and a legal doctrine allowing the president to kill U.S. citizens without trial, notice, or judicial review. That doctrine – once unthinkable – is now standard operating procedure. Obama's Director of National Intelligence openly admitted in 2010 that the administration was targeting Americans based on vague criteria like whether a citizen was “involved” in a group “trying to attack us.” That’s not evidence… that’s vibes. When civil-liberties groups sued to force the government to explain the legal basis, Obama declared the entire matter a state secret. Meaning: the president could now kill you, and no court was allowed to ask why. The judiciary rubber-stamped it. Both parties embraced it. And the public largely applauded it. Then came the Awlaki killings. Obama ordered the drone assassination of: • Anwar al-Awlaki, an American cleric • Samir Khan, an American citizen standing next to him • Awlaki's 16-year-old son, killed two weeks later at a café The White House smeared the kid as a “21-year-old terrorist.” The next week a birth certificate proved he was a Colorado teenager with zero ties to extremism. The administration shrugged. Obama famously told aides: “Turns out I'm really good at killing people.” And Washington – media, political class, and voters – rewarded him. Fast-forward to 2025. Trump isn't inventing anything new in Venezuela. He's using the exact precedents Obama left behind: Unreviewable executive kill authority, expanded definitions of “enemy combatant,” secret memos. No congressional oversight, no geographic limits, zero court supervision. Obama created the kill switch. Trump just slammed it. If you cheered the drone program when your guy was doing it, you already endorsed what’s happening now. If you let the government redefine due process as “whatever we decide in secret,” you already consented to the next president weaponizing that power. And if you normalize extrajudicial force abroad, eventually it comes home. Obama built the architecture. Trump moved in. And Venezuela is learning what happens when a precedent meets a president with fewer brakes  EU corruption scandal could take down von der Leyen – Politico A corruption probe into former EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini has thrown European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's position into jeopardy, with opponents preparing to turn the affair into a fresh push to remove her, Politico reported on Wednesday, citing officials in the bloc. Amid Russian gains on the battlefield, they insist Ukraine must be armed “to keep the fight going.” The alliance offered these commitments while being accused of attempting to sabotage peace talks. Canada, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, and the U.K. all announced new contributions, pushing the total put toward U.S.-made weapons bound for Ukraine toward $5 billion this year alone. Source: thegatewaypundit.com Leaked Transcript of EU Conference Call with Zelenskyy Highlights Fear of Trump Securing Peace for Ukraine Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Paris talking to Emmanuel Macron last weekend while Rubio, Witkoff and Kushner were meeting with Ukraine officials in Florida.  This telephone call is reported to have taken place the following day, on Monday. French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy together with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and European Council President António Costa held a conference call. A transcript of the call was leaked to Spiegel, a German news outlet. According to the narrative the assembled group of EU leaders were discussing how the Trump administration was going to betray Ukraine in order to get a peace deal with Russia. The gist of the narrative sounds accurate, though some of the EU leaders are denying the specifics of the wording used. The EU is very worried President Trump may formulate a peace agreement then present the final terms to Ukraine without the EU being involved in the construct of the details. The EU is opposed to any peaceful end to the conflict, because the EU and NATO have positioned their collective economies to only benefit if the military spending continues; they are backstopping their spending with the confiscated Russian assets.   Source: theconservativetreehouse.com   Medical/False Flags https://twitter.com/disclosetv/status/1996567491334803864?s=20 [DS] Agenda https://twitter.com/WallStreetApes/status/1996550058809188740?s=20   “Ilhan and this group, they spent a lot of money” “So, the people that work for Ilhan (0mar) are actually counting the ballots, counting the vote?” “They (Ilhan Omar’s campaign staffers) become a manager, in the precinct too.” Somalians who don't speak English are also told out how to vote “They walk with you to the booth and then they vote. On Wednesday, the Mike Lindell for Governor committee was registered with the state's Campaign Finance Board, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. Lindell, a close ally to President Donald Trump, told the outlet in an interview that his gubernatorial bid “isn't 100% yet,” but vowed to announce his final decision during a news conference on Dec. 11.     Source: dailycaller.com https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/1996634099235090449?s=20   JOE GRUTERS: “Ballot stubs must match, and incomplete ballots cannot be counted.” @ChairmanGruters Election Integrity Push: DOJ on track to compel voter roll cleanups in over half of U.S. states “The sloppiness of the elections in blue states is no accident. It is on purpose. It is a feature, not a bug,” Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet J. Dhillon told the Just the News, No Noise television show on Wednesday night. “And the goal is to cram as many people on there and make voters who are not particularly engaged, make it easy for someone else to help them fill out their ballot and return it for them when they didn’t care enough to do it themselves,” she added. “What we can do at the federal government level is ensure that our federal election laws are observed, and that includes each state’s requirement to keep clean voter rolls,” she added. “That is a fundamental basic.” Dhillon spoke one day after her division filed lawsuits against six Democrat-run states — Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Mexico, Washington state and Vermont — seeking to compel them to turn over to the DOJ their voter rolls to be inspected for abnormalities, outdated names or noncompliant names. She also struck a deal last week with North Carolina to force it to review and fix over 100,000 voters’ names on rolls in that battleground state that were added without complying with state law. Dhillon said her office is now on track to force through litigation, settlement or voluntary efforts at least 26 states to clean up voter rolls. “We’re now in litigation with 14 states. So the six yesterday included Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Mexico, Washington State and Vermont. That adds to eight we already had going,” she said. Official Washington is seized at the moment with the question of whether efforts to stop what amounts to chemical warfare against the United States have involved violations of the laws of war and, therefore, illegal orders to military personnel. Specifically, congressional committees are investigating the use of lethal force to destroy Venezuelan fast boats fitting the profile of drug traffickers of the Soles cartel's seaborne smuggling operations.  The transparent hope of congressional Democrats and, apparently some Republicans, is to find a pretext for removing Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.  Like the recent video by six Democratic legislators encouraging service personnel to refuse to obey illegal orders, the practical effect will be to render the U.S. armed forces less unified, focused and ready at a time when serious threats to the national security from Communist China, sharia-supremacists and other enemies are metastasizing. This is Frank Gaffney.

Specifically, Trump intends to use it for: Accelerating Scientific Breakthroughs: By harnessing the world’s largest collection of federal scientific datasets (built over decades) to train AI foundation models and create AI agents that test hypotheses, automate research workflows, and drive discoveries comparable to historical efforts like the Manhattan Project. Combining National Resources: Integrating efforts from American scientists (including at DOE national labs), pioneering businesses, world-renowned universities, existing research infrastructure, data repositories, production plants, and national security sites to achieve dramatic advancements in AI development and utilization. Addressing Key Domains: Focusing on national priorities to revolutionize areas like infrastructure, data management, production, and security; build on innovations in semiconductors and high-performance computing; and secure energy dominance. Economic and Strategic Benefits: Dramatically enhancing workforce productivity, multiplying returns on taxpayer investments in research and development, strengthening national security, and furthering America’s global strategic leadership in technology. Broader Impacts: Enabling AI-directed experimentation, manufacturing, and problem-solving to tackle existential risks and opportunities, while ensuring secure, interoperable systems across government and partners. This initiative is framed as a response to global competition in AI, building on prior actions like America’s AI Action Plan, with an emphasis on urgency to outpace adversaries and foster economic growth. President Trump's Plan https://twitter.com/JoeLang51440671/status/1993319619403169935?s=20  to do anything. “Sen. Rand Paul on Sunday warned that President Donald Trump's focus on Venezuela may lead to a “fracture” among those who were drawn in by his campaign promise of avoiding foreign wars.” “Over the last few months, Trump has launched a campaign to eliminate alleged drug trafficking in international waters near Central and South America, mostly through controversial boat strikes – although he has also floated the idea of taking the strikes to land. On Monday, the Trump administration will officially designate Venezuela's Cartel de los Soles as a foreign terrorist organization – a decision Paul on Sunday criticized. “I think by doing this, they are pretending as if we are at war,” said Paul, chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. “They're pretending as if they've gotten some imprimatur to do what they want,” he warned. “When you have war, the rules of engagement are lessened.” How many years has Rand Paul, been in office and when has he ever lifted a finger to go after the drug cartels? Trump is the first president who is waging a real war against drug cartels worldwide and Rand is doing his best to try and stop him. Trump cares about the millions of Americans who are dying from drug addiction and the families, who have lost loved ones. Rand Paul cares more about the drug cartels. And he's crying because Trump doesn't need him for anything. “Democrats in Congress have also expressed outrage over the strikes and the lack of briefings on the administration's actions – something Paul said he too has not received despite his position on the Senate Homeland Security Committee.” “I've been given zero, not one briefing because I am skeptical of what they are doing,” Paul said. “They don't brief me or the general Senate at all. A few hand-selected people may have gotten a briefing but I have not been invited to any briefings on Venezuela.” Why isn't Trump briefing Rand Paul or the democrats? Because you don't brief your enemies on your plans, when you are engaged in war. Rand Paul is nothing but a grandstanding politician and he can't stand the fact, that Trump ignores him and doesn't need him for anything. Do you want to know why else, Trump doesn't listen to him about fighting drug cartels? Here's Rand's solution to the problem: “Paul conceded that the flow of drugs into the country remains an issue but insisted that the government should focus on eliminating the demand for drugs here at home. “We should be trying to work on the demand side, treating it as a health problem, as an addiction problem in our country and trying to lessen demand. And that is part of the overall solution,” he said.” https://politico.com/news/2025/11/23/rand-paul-gop-venezuelan-strikes-00666488 To Rand Paul, millions of Americans dying from “illegal” drugs is just an “issue.” He thinks the solution is to pass legislation that takes more money from the American taxpayer and puts a bandaid on the problem. Trump on the other hand, is enforcing the laws already on the books and waging war against narco drug trafficking states that are clearly killing Americans for profit. We don't need Rand Paul in the Republican Party. He's only trying to get in the way and slow down Trump's efforts to Make America Great Again. The sooner he is removed from Congress the better. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) resignation from Congress could handicap Republicans in a critical period during which government funding expires, with dire consequences for the MAGA movement. Georgia law dictates that within ten days of a congressman's resignation, the state's governor must call a special election to take place after at least 30 days from his pronouncement. If no candidate wins a majority in the jungle election (during which all candidates run against one another regardless of party), a runoff with the top two vote-getters takes place 28 days later. By prolonging her election, Greene all but assures her seat will be empty during a period where Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) — and the American people dependent on a functioning federal government — may need every vote they can get. Greene, by prolonging her resignation for a month and a half, removes much of the urgency of scheduling a special election. Georgia political operatives project Kemp to set a date in March. The prior U.S. attorney refused to prosecute these Democrat operatives. So the Attorney General picked a new one who is unafraid to follow the law. What is the Democrats' response? Unsurprisingly, an Obama judge hand-selected a Clinton judge. Then the Clinton judge tossed both indictments. And the first sentence in both nearly identical orders, in which the Clinton judge personally and gratuitously attacks Lindsey Halligan, makes it crystal clear this judge is a Democrat partisan. Democrat politicians, including in robes, shamefully protect their own. Unfortunately, we have two systems of justice. One Democrats weaponize against enemies. And one Democrats weaponize to protect allies. The Justice Department must appeal. And it must move aggressively to bring charges against the Lawfare Democrats in Fort Pierce, Florida. https://twitter.com/julie_kelly2/status/1993096660734689379?s=20 https://twitter.com/WarClandestine/status/1993064224420249957?s=20 https://twitter.com/mrddmia/status/1993348171221659741   the Senate Judiciary Committee. Because too many Republicans would vote NO. Home-state senators do not want to give away their power to hand-select the U.S. attorney who would prosecute them, the U.S. district judge who would oversee their trial, and the U.S. marshal who would escort them to prison. The solution is simple: Have all Senate Judiciary Republicans and at least 50 Senate Republicans sign a letter saying this: “We will vote to confirm President Trump’s U.S. attorney nominees who lack blue slips from home-state senators.” Then Grassley can move forward with a committee vote. But why would Grassley anger all his colleagues and waste limited committee resources, if the nominees will fail? https://twitter.com/DataRepublican/status/1993291465137831953?s=20 https://twitter.com/C__Herridge/status/1993308443667472479?s=20 Kash Patel Talks In Depth About Attempted Trump Assassin And His Motives FBI Director Kash Patel told investigative journalist Catherine Herridge that hatred for the U.S. government and the two-party system played a role in Thomas Matthew Crooks' attempt to assassinate President Donald Trump on July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pa. Herridge asked Patel what motivated Crooks, 20, to try to kill Trump, then the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Patel's answer appeared to depart from previous FBI statements when bureau officials said they were unable to find a motive or ideology behind the assassination attempt. The FBI director — appearing on Herridge's show “Straight to the Point” by the Los Angeles Times Media Group — told her that Trump was “satisfied” with his agency's investigation into that fateful day. Patel stopped short of saying the case was closed. “He [Crooks], as has been publicized, had a basically hateful relationship with the United States government, talked disparagingly about both political parties, to include President Trump, and talked about the need to take matters into his own hands. And, unfortunately, that's what he did,” Patel said when Herridge asked about Crooks' motive.  Patel was later asked if Trump was satisfied with the FBI's findings regarding the July 2024 assassination attempt. He emphatically responded “yes.” Herridge asked Patel, “Is the Thomas Crooks case a closed case?” “How we treat cases like this of such great public importance is we put them in a pending-slash-inactive status, so if there's new information that comes in, we can receive it and react to it, and we don't want to foreclose that possibility,” the director said. Instead of the meeting being tense, Trump and Mamdani were joking around and acting like old friends. Both willing to work together for the benefit of the people in New York. And now Trump just designated the group that was one of Mamdani's biggest fundraisers, as a terrorist organization. Just a coincidence? The ball is now in Mamdani's court. Trump proved to the world, by how he treated Mamdani, that what he really cares about, are the people of New York. Is Mamdani going to work with Trump, or choose to be a puppet of the Muslim Brotherhood? Mamdani now gets to choose which side he is on. https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/status/1993079037611397563?s=20 President Trump Recognizes Certain Muslim Brotherhood Chapters for Potential Foreign Terrorist Designation The Muslim Brotherhood is the political arm of authentic Islam, and can be considered much like the umbrella organization for a host of different factions of Islamic fundamentalism. The Brotherhood is the unified political voice of many regional chapters, each with a varying degree of authentic Islam behind it. Qatar is the central bank for the Muslim Brotherhood; Turkey represents the Brotherhood's biggest national support network, and Egypt is the intellectual or scholastic battleground where the values of political Islam are debated. The executive order instructs the State Dept to officially begin the process to look at each chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood as a separate entity, and then see if the designation of a terrorist organization can apply to that chapter. As noted in the Executive Order, “relevant here, its chapters in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt engage in or facilitate and support violence and destabilization campaigns.”  It looks like Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt chapters of the Brotherhood will get the first review. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi already dealt with the extremist Muslim Brotherhood once, kicking their leadership out of Egypt.  The leaders fled to Qatar, and then ultimately ended up in Turkey, where Recep Erdogan absolutely loves the usefulness of the Brotherhood. Jordanian King Abdullah has been balancing the Muslim Brotherhood influence for years, and Lebanon is a hot mess with the Hezbollah faction of the Brotherhood.  The Muslim Brotherhood, as a political structure, holds all kinds of extremist factions under its umbrella (al-Qaeda, al-Nusra etc.).   Source: theconservativetreehouse.com 1237 Apr 22, 2018 1:31:31 AM EDT Q !xowAT4Z3VQ ID: 3e4934 No. 1141069  “The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process' with all the word means. COUNTER-ICE OPERATIONS CONTINUE TO GROW AND ORGANIZE NATIONWIDE.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Caribbean: This morning the White House designated the Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).Analyst Comment: This is a big deal. This was announced a few weeks ago but this morning this designation appeared in the Federal Register, so it's now in effect. The Cartel de los Soles is the cartel affiliated with much of the Venezuelan military, so this move is a necessary step in the process of expanding the conflict throughout the region.Spain: This morning a mass stabbing was reported in Madrid. One Moroccan national stabbed 3x people this afternoon in a residential area, before fleeing the scene. Counterterrorism police were activated due to the assailant shouting Islamic phrases during the attack. Authorities identified the man and raided his residence, and tased him twice while attempting to arrest him. The tasing failed, and armed police shot him four times, ending the incident. The assailant survived the shooting, and is currently being treated at a local hospital. The three victims also survived, though some of which suffered serious wounds.-HomeFront-Washington D.C. - The Department of Homeland Security has announced a new billion-dollar initiative to increase biometric scanning at airports. DHS Secretary Noem stated that this investment is the largest expansion of surveillance technologies in many years. In Congress, significant efforts are underway to initiate a criminal investigation into the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) within the United States. Last week, Rep. Joe Wilson (R) from South Carolina urged AG Bondi to investigate the Church due to his personal political opposition to Russia.Analyst Comment: These types of efforts always come out of the woodwork during the lead up to Christmas, so this is certainly not out of the ordinary. Almost all Dioceses have already condemned these efforts in the strongest possible terms, so this has done nothing but strengthen the communion between various jurisdictions. This effort is also largely a farce as Rep. Wilson, just a week before this scandal, showed enthusiastic support for the President of Syria, Mohammad al-Jolani. It is excessively ridiculous to seek the opinion of those whom would support a genocidal warlord who is actively murdering Christians (and everyone else) in his own country *right now*, so Wilson's efforts largely can be dismissed. Nevertheless, it is important to consider as, no matter who's in office, Christians are the only group that politicians feel safe in persecuting openly. The goalposts will continue to be moved, or at least try to be. Today it's ROCOR, tomorrow it will be another jurisdiction. There are already other similar initiatives to encourage the labeling of the eastern Three-Bar Cross as a hate symbol, along with the general targeting of Christian churches around the United States. Protestant churches keep burning down due to arson attacks, and Catholic churches are also host to desecration efforts worldwide, so this targeting does not apply only to the East.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Around the country, counter-ICE demonstrators have expanded operations to the economic front, in the form of protests against Home Depot for their alleged cooperation with ICE. Demonstrators have been observed to be taking advantage of a loophole in the retail world so as to cause economic harm to Home Depot. Demonstrators will purchase an ice scraper in the store, then promptly walk over to return it at customer service, running through this cycle over a period of hours. The end goal of this purchase/return cycle is mostly just to c

CannCon and Zak Paine dig into a packed news cycle, starting with Marjorie Taylor Greene's surprise resignation and what it signals for Georgia politics and wider MAGA strategy. They trace how Venezuela has become the centerpiece of a global struggle involving drug networks, election interference, and deep-state ratlines, as U.S. naval power builds in the Caribbean and intelligence chatter heats up. The hosts expose the coordinated push by Democrats, including Klobuchar and Slotkin, to undermine military command by seeding doubts about “illegal orders,” tying it directly to Trump's actions against cartels, foreign interference, and the intelligence apparatus itself. From Rasmussen drops to Maduro-era revelations, the looming terrorist designation of Cartel de los Soles, and the Venezuelan connection to global election manipulation, CannCon and Zak connect the dots between recent strikes, State Department signals, and Trump's call to focus America's “energy and might” on election fraud. With commentary on Comey's legal troubles, the military vaccine fallout, and the unraveling networks behind the global criminal state, this episode pulls together geopolitics, domestic subversion, and the fight to reclaim U.S. institutions.

It's Tuesday, November 18th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Nigerian Muslims abduct 7 people in Borno State, Nigeria Persecution.org reports that seven people have been abducted in Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria, Africa. Boko Haram, the Muslim terrorist group, is suspected of involvement in this kidnapping of mothers and their children, including two daughters of a local pastor and an infant.   One resident described the atmosphere in the area as shock and fear.  She said, “I'm shocked and saddened by the attack. … My heart goes out to the families of the abducted. It's heartbreaking that this is happening weekly in Chibok. The silence is deafening — we must demand action from our leaders and support our troops to bring an end to this senseless violence.” 25 girls kidnapped in Kebbi State, Nigeria And this just in. The Associated Press reports that 25 girls were kidnapped yesterday morning from a high school in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Nigerian military opened fire on police in Benue State, Nigeria Meanwhile, the Nigerian military opened fire on a police patrol in Benue State last week. The patrol was offering protection to villagers from Fulani Muslim terrorists. Just another incident marking the unravelling of the social and political state of the Nigerian nation.  Congress might impose sanctions on Nigeria The United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Africa has scheduled an open hearing this Thursday on the President's recent designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern. If ratified by the Senate, the designation would allow the U.S. to impose sanctions on Nigerian government officials found complicit in religious persecution. German authorities targeting homeschooling and Christian schooling Homeschooling and Christian schooling are under attack in Germany, again. The Dietrich Bonhoeffer International School in Germany is a part-homeschool and part-Christian school hybrid. After three court hearings over the last six years, education authorities are not forcing school closure. Two partner schools have been denied accreditation by German authorities.   Alliance Defending Freedom International is appealing the case to the European Court of Human Rights.  In 1920, Germany introduced public school compulsory attendance, By 1939,  almost all denominational  or confessional schools in the Reich were converted into “community schools” under state control or they were closed. Keep in mind, God is in control. In Isaiah 43:15-17, God says, “I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power, they shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick.” Marco Rubio to designate Venezuelan cartel as terrorist group Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Sunday that the State Department would designate Cartel de los Soles or Cartel of the Suns as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It will take place within a week. The cartel is believed to be headed by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his cronies.   The State Department press release promised that the United States would use “all available tools to protect our national security interests and deny funding and resources to narco-terrorists.” Since September, the U.S. military has completed 21 attacks on boats thought to be carrying drugs in the Caribbean seas.  As of Saturday, 83 people aboard ships have been killed, and 22 ships sunk.  State Department called Maduro “one of largest narco-traffickers” Not only has the State Department referred to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as "one of the largest narco-traffickers in the world,” but also the U.S. government has offered a $50 million reward for information leading to his arrest.  Venezuela's Gross Domestic Product has sunk from $371 billion in 2013, when Madura was elected, to an estimated $107 billion this year.   HIs government is known for having killed thousands of political enemies. In his early years, Maduro was trained as a communist in Cuba, and leads the United Socialist Party of Venezuela. Venezuela, once rich oil-based country, no relies on illegal drugs Venezuela was one of the most prosperous states in South America back in the 1980s and 1990s, that is, until a left-wing politician named Hugo Chávez was elected as President in 1998. Since then, the country has shifted from an oil-based economy to a drug-based economy. Venezuelan oil production has dropped off by 75% since the late 90s. Proverbs 28:16 speaks to this: “Like a roaring lion and a charging bear Is a wicked ruler over poor people. A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.” African, Muslim & Eastern countries vs West on trust in governments The Edelman International Survey finds that the people of African, Muslim, and Eastern countries are far more optimistic about the future of their nations than the people in Western countries. Those who live in Kenya, Indonesia, India, China, and Saudi Arabia are very optimistic — over 50% believe the next generation will be better off. By contrast, the population of France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Australia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Canada are extremely pessimistic — barely 9-20% could say the same thing. In terms of distrust of governments, the people of Japan, Germany, Spain, Colombia, and South Africa were highly distrustful. But those who live in Saudi Arabia, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia registered high trust in governments. Hollywood's economic slump And, finally, Hollywood has gone into an economic tailspin — now sporting the worst summer season in 44 years. At $3.67 billion, Tinseltown's summer box office season registered a 43% decrease from the peak year of 2013, adjusted for inflation.  Pagan worldview of How to Train Your Dragon 2025 In case you missed it, How to Train Your Dragon 2025 featured a pagan worldview with ample references to the ancient demonic gods of Odin and Thor, not to mention the witch consulting bones and magic. Jurassic Park Rebirth advocated the evolution of man, environmentalism, and the woke of feminism.   And Superman 2025 got a little political and wokey around the edges, once more setting the worldview of existentialism against the polytheism of the superheroes. CBS EYE ON THE WORLD WITH JOHN BATCHELOR 11-6-25 THE SHOW BEGINS IN THE DOUBTS ABOUT VENEZUELA. FIRST HOUR 9-915 Anatol Lieven discusses the institutionalization of the Ukraine war, highlighted by children being trained to fly drones in classrooms. This blend of new technology and old societal militarization creates a "bloodless war" perception, potentially making conflict psychologically easier. He also addresses the argument that "stagnating states" are militarizing to maintain power, fueling conflicts and reasserting spheres of influence (a "new economic Monroe Doctrine"). The US is critically involved, enabling Ukrainian targeting capabilities. 915-930 Anatol Lieven discusses the institutionalization of the Ukraine war, highlighted by children being trained to fly drones in classrooms. 930-945 Chris Riegel discusses how artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are transforming labor, citing modest IBM layoffs but predicting heavy impacts in large retail. Advanced robotics in Chinese auto manufacturing drives cost efficiency, and AI combined with robotics enhances manufacturing capability. While seeing demand, Riegel notes characteristics of a bubble, especially in wildly overvalued stock prices, fueled by vast investment in AI data centers. In QSRs and retail, AI adoption is driven by efficiency and, in places like California, high minimum wages. 945-1000 Mary Anastasia O'Grady discusses the strong US military presence near Venezuela, intended to pressure dictator Nicolás Maduro to leave. While the opposition (led by elected President González) is ready to govern, the Trump administration hesitates due to security concerns. The major risk is chaos: following Maduro's exit, drug cartels (like Cartel de los Soles) and other groups (like ELN and Tren de Aragua) might fight dissident generals, leading to instability rather than a smooth transition to democracy. SECOND HOUR 10-1015 Joel Finkelstein discusses how the New York election of socialist Zohran Mamdani was influenced by "subnationalism," where foreign nations subvert democracy. Organizations associated with Islamist Maoist ideals and CCP assets (like Neville Roy Singham, who bankrolled a campaign hub) were central to mobilizing votes. On social media, especially Instagram and TikTok, content favorable to Mamdani was given "engineered virality," with over 50% of viral engagement coming from non-American users, suggesting organized foreign intercession. 1015-1030 Ahmad Fouad Alkhatib discusses the high probability of renewed conflict in Gaza, arguing that the ceasefire is fragile due to Hamas's malign intentions. He estimates Hamas's combat-effective forces are significantly lower than reported (3,000 to 5,000, versus 15,000 to 30,000), noting Hamas pays fighters $20 to $25 a day. He also challenges polls showing widespread Gazan support for Hamas, arguing such results are manipulated and defy logic given the catastrophe following October 7. Disarmament is crucial for any future political process. 1030-1045 Ahmad Fouad Alkhatib argues that disarmament must precede any credible political process in Gaza, citing Hamas's use of medical facilities like Shifa and Nasser hospitals for interrogations and military activities. He criticizes Turkey and Qatar for using Hamas as a bargaining chip for regional leverage, suggesting they now posture Hamas as a potential security guarantor against ISIS. Alkhatib also suggests using Private Military Contractors (PMCs) as an enforcement force to actively fight Hamas and secure territory, given diminishing faith in an International Stabilization Force. 1045-1100 Gregg Roman details Turkey and Qatar's strategy to establish regional hegemony across "five fronts" by replacing the Shia Crescent. Turkey, providing military manpower, and Qatar, providing the budget, are active in Gaza, southern Lebanon, Syria, and Djibouti. Their plan includes securing maritime supremacy in the Eastern Mediterranean via an agreement with Libya and extending air power over Syrian airspace. Erdoğan seeks plausible deniability by empowering Syrian jihadis to attack the Golan Heights and is building bases in Djibouti and Somalia. THIRD HOUR 1100-1115 Professor Evan Ellis discusses Argentina's economic stabilization under President Milei, who resisted dollarization by bringing the peso to a stable, free-market rate through aggressive spending cuts and US/IMF support. This success under the new US "economic Monroe Doctrine" sends a strong signal to the Americas, aimed at countering China's rapid expansion. Ellis also reviews US military readiness near Venezuela and political shifts toward the center-right in Bolivia and potentially Chile, though these nations remain economically engaged with China. 1115-1130 Professor Evan Ellis discusses Argentina's economic stabilization under President Milei, who resisted dollarization by bringing the peso to a stable, free-market rate through aggressive spending cuts and US/IMF support. FOURTH HOUR 12-1215 Veronique de Rugy critiques the administration's legal argument at the Supreme Court that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) authorizes the President to impose tariffs. She argues the term "emergency" is used too loosely, defining 50 years of trade deficits as an emergency, potentially granting the President immense, unchecked power to tax. Tariffs are taxes, which Congress should control. De Rugy notes tariffs are already causing damage by raising prices for consumers or forcing companies to cut profits and investment. 1215-1230 Alan Tonelson discusses the Supreme Court oral arguments concerning the President's authority to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The administration argues the President can invoke IEEPA due to emergencies like fentanyl and trade deficits. Tonelson finds arguments against including tariffs under IEEPA's regulatory language "jaw-dropping." He stresses that the President must have sole control over declaring foreign policy emergencies, necessary for rapid response. If rejected, the President has other longstanding tariffing powers. 1230-1245 Dr. AJ Kolhari discusses Russia's successful test of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile, which flew 14,000 km for 15 hours. The missile captures and compresses air, heating it over a nuclear reactor to create thrust. Kolhari emphasizes the danger because it flies low (50 to 100 m) and is hard to detect. He notes this nuclear propulsion technology, or similar ramjet designs, could revolutionize commercial travel and be applied to flight on Mars, using its CO₂ atmosphere for heating. 1245-100 AM Conrad Black discusses Canadian politics and trade, noting a misunderstanding between Prime Minister Carney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford regarding an anti-tariff ad that offended President Trump. Black reports that China's General Secretary Xi has been conciliatory toward both Canada and the US. Crucially, Canada needs pipelines built both east, west (Trans Mountain to Vancouver/Pacific), and south (Keystone XL) to move Alberta's oil. Carney's federal government tentatively agreed to approve a second pipeline to Northern British Columbia.

Mary Anastasia O'Grady discusses the strong US military presence near Venezuela, intended to pressure dictator Nicolás Maduro to leave.
