In this "Giant Mess" movie lover and TV addict Neal Lynch gives his initial knee-jerk reactions to seeing Dune Part Two (spoiler: it's on the of best movies of all-time) in the theater, the scarily accurate yet ironic prediction from sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke that kicked off the BlackBerry movie on Hulu starring Glenn Howerton and Jay Baruchel, the final release from the failed DC Extended Universe -- Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on HBO Max, and Apple TV's Foundation Season 2 featuring the beefcakiest stud Lee Pace. ABOUT "GIANT MESS": "Giant Mess" is a sloppy sports and entertainment talk show about New York Giants football, Mets baseball, movies, TV shows, funny stories and life lessons. It's hosted by a giant mess, The Real Cinch Neal Lynch. ABOUT NEAL LYNCH: I'm an Irish-Italian-American who graduated from a Catholic high school (but isn't Catholic), and a college known for producing doctors and lacrosse players, then became neither. Instead, I'm a former college quarterback & pitcher with a film and media studies degree who currently overthinks everything. AppleTV+ does it again with two fabulous season finales! This week we're talking about “Invasion” and “Foundation.”Sadly, neither show has yet been renewed for season 3. We read that “Invasion” has been planned as a 4-season show and “Foundation” as an undetermined multi-season show. They just can't end on these season 2 cliffhangers!Come on, Apple! Renew them already! We've submitted feedback through:https://www.apple.com/feedback/apple-tv-app/You can help out by watching the shows and submitting your positive feedback at that link!By the way, if you started “Invasion” and quit watching because it's “slow” or didn't show enough aliens, please give it another try. It is indeed character-based. The story follows four/five different people around the globe as they manage the alien invasion. There is action. We do come face-to-face with the aliens. The show is fabulous! And, if you tried “Foundation” and thought it was too complicated to keep up with, binge it! It is so much easier to follow when we can watch several episodes back-to-back. It is so worth it. Also, it is only loosely based on the novels by Isaac Asimov. In fact, much of the, er, foundation of the story is original content created just for the show. And it is awesome!Next week: We're celebrating Hanukkah! We're also starting our rewatches of “Hjem til Jul” (“Home for Christmas”), “Odio il Natale” (“I Hate Christmas”), and “A Storm for Christmas” (all on Netflix). So, Hanukkah viewing is brief. For this episode I would like to thank my parents, Ron and Thea. My mom encouraged and helped me be artistic and perform and told my dad to buy me more comicbooks because they helped me read. My dad taught me to build and create and take pride in what I've made and the work put into it. But also they both let me be weird which I believe has gotten me further in life than if I was normal. Join us! It's our overview of Apple TV's Foundation Season 2 in the penultimate episode of Stars End's Fourth Season! There's still so much we don't know! Will Demerzel hunt down and kill Dawn, Sereth, and the baby? Who gave Hari a living body and why? Will Tellum emerge from the Aether to become the Mule? Did anybody remember to erase all the incest in C-17's brain when they woke up his pickle? Is the Prime Radiant becoming sentient? Just how many Hari's are there in a conspiracy, anyway? And where the hell is Dors, damnit!?! There's more and we talk about it all! Well, most of it. Uh... some! Some! No! A bit. A bit. We did do the nose! We also open the Stars End Mail Bag and answer some of your questions! You'll want to stick around for the end of this one so you can learn how to help us choose the winners of the Second Semi-Semi Septennial Hari Awards! Let's go!
